Eight Steps to Alpha (Nerdy by Nature #1) by Taylor Sullivan is an easy fun, sweet, sexy story that is entertaining from start to finish. It is a friends to lovers story that will have you laughing along the way at their banter and friendship. Taylor has written characters that are charming and funny, quirky and witty, lovable and sexy whilst a little nerdy on the side. It is a highly entertaining journey on the road to change, discovery and love.

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space, #1)A Talent for Trouble by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Talent for Trouble by Landra Graf is the first book in the Bad Boys of Space series. This is set in a space science fiction setting but has a gangster feel to it with some romance and intrigue. The main character Emilio is a drug runner and a lady’s man. He is trying to work himself up to the big time. Antonia is trying to get back her bootlegging ship so that she can work for herself and not have to rely on a man.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this up but was intrigued by the title and cover. I was not disappointed. This was a fun read and I enjoyed the story. The characters were different and it took me time to decide how I felt about them. My opinions changed as I was reading. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Beneath the Surface (Gray Ghost #3)Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley is the third book in the Gray Ghost series. This book is an action packed, suspenseful love story.

Hannah is a bad a$$ and shows it time and time again. She has dealt with some blows in life and kept the anger from the things that have happened inside where it keeps building.

Jack is an alpha to the bone, but has a huge heart. He does so much to help out the homeless people, especially the teens on the streets.

I had a feeling about some of the things that happened to Hannah and was quite proud of myself when I was right.

I wonder how long I have to wait for the next book in this series, hope it isn’t too long.

a great read about truth. After the events of the last book, Allie is eager to spend Christmas with friends. But it all goes wrong with a knock on the door. Charlottes life is turned upside down when Allie goes missing and fears for her safety. Desperate to find her charlotte must uncover some seceets totry and find her friend. Can she discover the truth before its too late?
a great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Although i did find the Tyrone Garned subplots distracted the narrative from the search for Allie at times but it does make sense in the end. Well developed characters like charlotte standing up for herself but concerned for her friend. i loved how the sequel was more about Allie, to flesh out this character from the first novel as shy and reserved but more to her than it first appears.
i loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the senseof Christmas with the lights and tree and also the smells of cake and sounds of music for a warm feel that can also hide dangers perfectly writfen. The use of suspense was drawn out to perfection as you raced to solvefhe myserty and find Allie with Charlotte,. The switch of perspectives worked well once again to display both sides of the stroy and was easy to follow. The times and dates for each chapter werea a great addition once again and helped to fuel the fast paced feel of ghe novel and time fo find Allieslipping way quickly. Fast paced actions and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and i eould givd it four stars.

Rush by Megan Matthews is the first hook in the Boys of RDA series is. This book is a good start to a new series and is one I will be wanting to read more of.
I do have to say that at times I was a little disappointed with the writing style: it felt like there was something missing almost and I didn’t always connect with it.
However I did enjoy the overall story and I liked what the author did with it. The characters were likeable and easy to ease about. I could tell this was the start of a series and I am hopeful for what is to come out of it.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rainy Day Lovers was a really lovely read with two wonderful characters. It didn’t take me long at all to fall in love with Raina, she was so lovely, she was kind, caring and just a real genuine person. Roman, bless him, my heart broke for him and everything that he had been through. I loved the first meeting between him and Raina; it really showed what a kind person she was. However there were times when I wanted to grab my kindle and throw it through the window with frustration because I so desperately wanted these two to be together. I liked that the author wrote from both characters point of view, I think it helped answer some of the questions I had.
Overall I thought that this was a lovely story with two wonderful characters. I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Caught in the Spin is the second book in the Caught series. When I first started to read this series, I almost stopped reading because of the romance theme but that would have been a big mistake. This story is more than a romance story. It has an element of suspense and mystery. Sharleen Scott can tell a great story and I felt like I was in the story with Tallie and Tom. Tallie is looking for a place to go that will be safe for her and her son from her ex-husband who has been in prison. Will there be refuge in the ranch with Tom or will Tallie’s ex-husband find them and take her son away from her?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caught in the Spin is the second book in The Caught Series by Sharleen Scott. As I have come to expect from Ms. Scott, this is a well written and intriguing read. The story could be read as a standalone, but there are recurring characters, and details, that you would better appreciate having read the first book before embarking on this one.
This is a great series, well worth your time to read- the characters are beautifully developed with their own personalities- and Ms. Scott certainly knows how to craft a completely engaging and captivating story. It has so much going on in it- from danger, mystery, suspense, action, drama, tension, and of course romance. The storyline drew me in and had me anxiously flipping pages to find out how everything plays out and I found myself completely invested in Tallie and Tom- and the outcome of their story.
Well worth the read! Can’t wait to see what Ms. Scott does next!

Thank you, Ms. Scott!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Salvation: An Ash Park Novella is the prequel to the brilliant Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. I have read all of the Ash Park series and thought my wild ‘ride’ might have been over- so I was thrilled to discover this book had recently been released. All through the series, I have reiterated how impressed I am with Ms. O’Flynn’s ability to spin an incredibly clever thriller- and how she also manages to make each new instalment slightly eclipse the previous one. As well as the amount of tension, suspense, shocks, twists, surprises, and puzzling situations that she manages to infuse into each story, has me in awe of her skills- she always has me guessing, with a tight, unpredictable storyline- and delivering heart pounding, stomach clenching, and mind-blowing reading every single time.
This book takes us back to the beginning, giving us a different glimpse into the life of Detective Edward Petrosky, and some of the earlier events that shaped the man we know from the rest of the series. I can’t say too much more than what’s already mentioned in the blurb, without giving away spoilers, so do yourself a favour and grab yourself a copy- and get set for a thrilling ride….. with 5 other books in the series to devour, as well!
I wonder what Ms. O’Flynn has in store for us next?

Thank you, Ms. O’Flynn!

This is book two in the Caught Series. The story picks up two years after the first book ends. Tallie Peters is Harv’s new assistant and she heads up to Clay Masterson’s ranch for him to sign some papers. While there, she meets Tom Black and sparks fly. Of course, being stubborn, Tom fights the attraction. When Tom finds out that Tallie’s ex-husband is out of prison and is trying to kill her, he offers Tallie and her son a safe haven at his place.

Let me tell you, her ex-husband Roy Peters is crazy! The sad part is that there are men like him who exist. I felt so bad for Tallie. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I found myself crying on several occasions. I suggest having a box of tissue near you while reading this book.

We met Tom Black briefly in the first book and he seemed alright. This story focuses on him and he is incredible! As much as I liked Caught in Cross Seas, I absolutely loved this book! This was an engaging story filled with romance, action and heart stopping drama.

I think Sharleen Scott is an amazing writer. Her characters are well developed and relatable. You are able to connect with the characters and cheer them on. Her stories are compelling and grab you right from the beginning and keep you on the edge constantly wanting more. I highly recommend you read this book!

A Suitable Affair is the first in the Macalisters series written by Erica Taylor and it was really good. She doesn’t want a life of spinsterhood, so she decides a loveless marriage to Lord Riverton is better than none at all even if he dull. The story Penny For Your Thoughts: A Sweet Romance (Sand Dollar Series Book 1) by J. D. Boudreaux is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that grabbed my attention from the beginning and had me hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Penny and Alex. Penny is a woman who has her future planned. She has the determination and drive in order to be successful. Alex is a man that is kind and thoughtful. He has a need to help others. He meets Penny through one act of kindness. What does the future hold for both Alex and Penny? Read this book to find out. This is a wonderful story that I enjoyed reading. There is romantic, emotional, and humorous dialogue. There are moments that are sad and also moments that are heartwarming. As you read about Penny and Alex, I got a better idea of how each one of them deals with situations that occur. There are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. The book had my emotions going up and down the entire time. The story had me lost in the pages and not wanting to put it down until I had finished it. There are other additional characters that are introduced. Some have a larger part than others. Each has their own part to play in the story as they interact with either Penny, Alex, or both of them together. This was a wonderful story to read and one I would recommend to others.

In the dark where monsters live, a dark story flourishes to life, born of wicked intent and evil power.

A warning of sorts, sinister actions threaten the innocent and rob them of their virtue.

Steel Archer, with his commanding charisma and keen focus captivated his platoon. He had been to battle and tasted the sand of the desert war. No one understood, how could they? The adrenaline buzz, the anticipation, the planning and preparation that came with each mission fed his mind, body, and soul. It was addicting until it all went wrong, men died.
His men.

But now that was all behind him. PI- Securities firm was where he landed and his reputation for questionable methods of persuasion, worked to his advantage.

“I’d been told I had a calm about me. But don’t be fooled, undermining my power would be foolish. I saw myself as a wild predator who lived life on the razors edge.”

His good looks and intensity rolling off in waves. Years of training banishing any trace of emotion. Every muscle in his body instinctively warning him, like a sixth sense of what’s to come. Foreseeing the enemy’s next move is far more primal, instinctive, and raw than most believe.

“There’s never been room for a life outside my profession. Certainly not a woman, that’s a liability I can’t afford to indulge in. “

Until he met his match.

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space Book 1) by Landra Graf – Review by Tracy Wilkin

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space, #1)A Talent for Trouble by Landra Graf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Talent for Trouble is book one in the Bad Boys of Space series by Landra Graf. This is my first dabble into this author’s work, and I was excited to begin. Discovering new author’s is like a never ending gift and leaves me with a feeling unlike any other. Discovering amazingly talented author’s is even better.

Emilio is a drug runner and stuck in an unexpected situation with Toni, who is fed up with men. Forced together, they must face danger, madness and mayhem, to get their HEA. Emilio is a cheeky, self absorbed character that really grows on you, albeit begrudgingly. He wants what he wants and is not ashamed of his determination and arrogance. Toni can handle what he dishes out,  and has plenty of fuel to add to the fire. Their personas compliment each other in a dysfunctional way, but it totally works for them. The dramatics are endless and tension is always at an all time high. Attraction, satisfaction, danger and suspense are just some of the feelings packed into this drama. Emilio and Toni are an energetic duo that will amuse, annoy and captivate you. A book that is always entertaining. 4 stars

Climbing the Walls (Hart & Cole Series Book 1) by Sacha T.Y. Fortune – Review By Felicia Bates

Climbing the Walls book 1 Hart & Cole Series
Sacha T.Y. Fortune
5 out of 5 stars
Climbing the Walls is a bit longer than books I’ve been reading as of late but it was well worth my time. I was drawn to this book, and new to me
author because the premise of the story seemed realistic but different than most books I read.
Honestly, Sacha T. Y Fortune did not disappoint.
Climbing the Walls kept my attention from beginning to end with characters that truly highlighted the complexities of marriage. The plot flowed well with twists and turns that took me on a rollercoaster of emotion. I’m really looking forward to reading on in the Hart & Cole series.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné

Climbing The Walls is the first book in the Hart & Cole series and it is also my first book by this author. It is really well written and i love the authors writing style. The story is told from duel POV’s and i think that makes the book that much more appealing because you get to see two sides of the same story.
Nicole is a hardworking mother of two and is married to a man that she loves dearly. She is a HUGE workaholic and her boss is constantly pulling her away from her home life. She wants to be a good wife and mother, but with her schedule she is always away and that is causing problems in her marriage. When her boss wants a shoulder to cry on she sees how fragile her marriage really is.
Kris whole-heartedly loves his wife and he adores his children, but with Nicole gone all of the time it has put a strain on their marriage and the people around him are making him question the marriage and if it is stronger than the problems they’re going through.
Man oh man oh man, what an awesome story. And that freakin’ twist!!! I did not see that coming! I enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more of this series and also more of this author. I would recommend this book to a friend.
Happy Reading!

A Tendency Dark and Dangerous
By Emmalyn Danvers

Wow what a story!! This is a dark, intriguing, twisted, steamy, poetic, read and so much more than I’m able to articulate right now. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m so glad that I took a chance because this book left me wanting more. It took me a little while to get used to this writing style but I loved every minute of it. This story was full of emotion, Evangeline’s life turns completely upside down when she decides to give into her desire for Landon. What price will she pay for her new addiction? Will she lose everything she cares about? These are things you will find out as you read this amazing story. I wish I had more words to describe how much I truly enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this story.
