Bound (the Torzial Affair Book #2) by Via Mari – Review by Krystal Gaston

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2)Bound by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Torzial Affair Book 2: Bound written by Via Mari. I was pretty excited for this book after reading book one, Shattered. I love reading Jenny’s story even though it’s sad, disturbing at times and super stressful with everything she’s been through and going through it makes you wonder if her life is ever going to get better and stay positive for more than a few weeks at a time. Ty has done a lot of damage to her life as a whole and even from the grave his actions are a direct threat to her and Torzial. You learn a lot about Matt in this story where he’s normally more of a secondary character he becomes more present and out of the shadows. I’m even more excited to see how book three (Claimed) goes and if Jenny ever gets her chance at happily ever after.

Not So Broken
Love Grows Series
Book 1
By Renee Regent
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a full length novel in the Love Grows Series. Giving romance another chance, is what you will find in this story.

Sacha is coming back after her divorce. Deciding she does not need a man to be happy. She puts her work first and foremost. She even loves going on the road to find new clients. The only real thing missing is having a family. She will not give up in having a child though. But how?

Gibson is trying to get his life back on track. After losing his wife and child in a horrible accident. He had it all, now he wants nothing. He moves to a tiny town, finds a cabin to live in. Doing odd jobs for the townspeople. He loves working with his hands. This way he can stay away from romance and commitment. Or can he?

Renee Regent let’s her heart shine in this second chance at love romance. Her story is a page turner, I could not put it down. The more I read, the more I wanted. I love Sacha and Gibson’s story. It has all the feels. Put me on a romantic rollercoaster. I am looking forward to reading the next story I this series.

Caught in the Spin (The Caught Series Book 2) by Sharleen Scott – Review by Emily Walsh

Caught in the SpinCaught in the Spin
BySharleen Scott
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caught in the Spin (The Caught Series Book 2) by Sharleen Scott was an hooking read that I couldn’t take my eyes away from!

Not my first read by this author or in this series. Just a heads up, though you can read this as a standalone, this book takes place about two years after the first book, so there are major spoilers. I highly suggest you read the first book, also you get to meet Tom in that first book.

Moving on.

I jumped into this book right after finishing the first, because Caught in Cross Seas was so captivating that I didn’t want to leave that world just yet. And just like that first book, was I was pulled in, held captive and I didn’t want to leave. There is a third book, that I have already read, so yeah you can say this whole series is just freaking amazing.

Like the first book I fell right in love with our MC’s Tom and Tallie. Tom, who I met in that first book, is hot, good natured and too damn perfect for his own good, scars and all. There was quite the twist in this one, one I didn’t see coming and one you won’t either. It really added not only a heartbreaking note, but it provided a building block for Tom’s characters growth and pay homage to his and Clay’s upbringing.

Tallie, she’s a spitfire and one hell of a brave woman. I loved her from the start and the more I read about her the more I wanted her to be real, so I could be her friend. Her story, what she went through and the courage she showed not only for her son before towards the end, just proves that you don’t mess with momma bear. Her and Tom are a perfect match, and I wish nothing but good things for them. They could have their own spin off books for their family, and I would gladly eat them up.

Overall, if you haven’t guessed, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval. This engaging, detail rich read will pull at your heart strings, shocked you with raw anger and have you wishing you could be there, helping, looking and wanting nothing more then to see these two prevail.

Happy Reading

Beneath the Surface ( A Gray Ghost Novel Book 3) by Amy McKinley – Review by Heather Bass

Beneath the Surface (Gray Ghost #3)Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a couple of books from this talented author and she keeps blowing me away. This is the third book of the Gray Ghost series. I absolutely love military romance but this author exceeds my expectations. This book can be read as a stand alone but there are prior characters in this story as well. I was so excited for this book. When it came out I dropped everything and started to read it. I was hooked on the very first page. It only took me a few hours to devour this book.

Hannah Miller didn’t have your normal childhood. She lost her parents at a very young age. Hannah and her older sister was put into a school that taught them how to become spies. Now Hannah is a trained sleeper agent. She is on a plane with a secret weapon and then all of a sudden her life changes. Hannah is captured in a hijacking. She is shocked when her ex comes to the rescue with his crew. Jack is just as handsome as ever. Hannah still has feelings for him but she has secrets that could bring a lot of trouble. Hannah has no other choice but to team up with Jack. They need to find this weapon before it gets into the wrong hands. Will Hannah and Jack find what they are looking for or will they find danger instead?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, suspense, and mystery. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Hannah had a very hard life. She is all business but not with Jack. Jack loves his job. His team is his family and he will do anything for them. Jack still has feelings for Hannah but he doesn’t want to get hurt again. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will make keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will have for us next.

Less You Know: Gripping Psychological Suspense (Ashes to Ashes Book 2) by Rowena Holloway – Review by Erica Fish

Less You Know: Gripping Psychological SuspenseLess You Know: Gripping Psychological Suspense by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Less You Know is the second book in Rowena Holloway’s Ashes to Ashes series. I have to admit I was biting at the bit to read this story. I will warn you make sure you read Bad Things Happen as this is the first book in the series and it lays the ground work for Less You Know. Rowena Holloway has a way of weaving a web of a story because one never knows what is going on until you are in the web. This is a psychological thriller, suspense, danger, secrets, and lots of twists and turns. There were several times that I was totally off base in my thinking and replayed the story in my head to just imagine what happened. That to me makes the story a great read. If you can be directed in one way of your thoughts of what is going on just to be slapped in the head because you totally missed it makes me seek out other stories by Rowena Holloway because she ranks high in my author’s I love.

Briefly Charlotte Ashe is up to it again. She is investigating again this time with her friend Allie. Charlotte did not realize there were secrets in Allie’s life that come out and takes Charlotte back. Charlotte does not know what to do but she is sure of one thing, she needs to find Allie and get everything out in the open.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolf Series #3) by Mark Nolan – Review by Jana Teppih

Killer LawyerKiller Lawyer by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Killer Lawyer is the third book in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series and what a story it is! I have to say that the writing gets better and better with each book! The writer is a master of intense action thrillers and you are guaranteed a head spinning rollercoaster ride! You could read the story as a standalone but you would miss out of having met Jake and Cody and Sarah (Jake’s girlfriend who is a veterinarian) and seen how they began!
In Killer Lawyer our ex-marine lawyer turned Jake Wolfe with his war dog Cody are thrown into find out who is the serial killer who seems to be killing random people … These two get involved when one of Jake’s friends is killed so we are getting a story of revenge and survival and outsmarting of the killer! I loved complex story line and the interaction between the characters, the companionship and comradery among the men, the bond between Jake and Cody, the longing for peace and quiet and at the same time the need to step in and right the wrongs! AND add to this the alternating point of views, oh my, to be in the head of that evil killer … chills along your spine!
I am looking forward to hopefully another story in the series, I am curious to see how Jake and Sarah’s relationship will grow and what Cody’s future will hold…

An Italian Adventure (The Italian Saga #1) by Gaia B Amman – Review by Tausha Treadway

An Italian Adventure (The Italian Saga, #1)An Italian Adventure by Gaia B. Amman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An Italian Adventure ( The Italian Saga) (Volume 1) by Gaia B Amman. This is such a endearing coming of age story about a young girl named Leda ( Lee to her friends and family) who is going thru the same things all preteens go thru. She meets Nico who has just moved to Sicily in the 1980’s and he’s a major bully who scares all the kids except Lee. She’s a tomboy who fights with her siblings all the time so she’s not scared of anyone. This book takes you thru the emotions of a young girl who must confess her sins at confession, cope with the pending divorce of her parents and dealing with sibling rivalry. It is set in the beautiful setting of Italy and in a time when life was more laid back but there are just as many emotions and difficulties in growing up. You become Lee in this story, you feel her heartaches, her fears and her love. Its an amazing story of growing up and becoming a teenager. I loved this book and if you are 12 or 50 you will enjoy it too.

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing – Review by Heather Bahm

Full Glasses and Burju ShoesFull Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes, by Blake Blessing, is a new adult/college romance that takes a spin on the hope of something out there that makes life worthwhile. Perrin and Emil approached life differently, and it shone in their personalities and how they handled situations. There was definite a solid dose of conflicts and a lack of understanding throughout a good portion of this story. Yet, the author, brings together historical background to support actions taken and allows the characters to grow and take on some perspective to see a fuller picture. There were definitely parts of the story that were a little harder to read through, but overall, I felt that the author did a commendable job on addressing various topics that are not always easily added into a story.

Less You Know (Ashes to Ashes #2)Less You Know by Rowena Holloway
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Less You Know is the second book in the Ashes to Ashes series by Rowena Holloway. This is quite a gripping suspense, with drama, mystery, danger, secrets, action, discoveries, twists, intrigue, and lots of tension.
We met Charlotte Ashe in the previous book- and once again follow her on her latest ‘investigation’. Her journalistic senses drive her to try to prove Tyrone Garner, former football star, now turned property developer, and all-round Mr. Popular- is actually a huge fraud.
She, along with her friend Allie, engage in some reconnaissance in order to uncover ‘evidence’. But Allie has secrets of her own, and when she disappears, Charlotte not only feels guilty for placing her friend in danger, but will also need to get to the bottom of everything, putting all the pieces together. Secrets will be revealed. Questions will be raised. Charlotte will be tested, and left questioning everything she thought she knew.
This story is definitely clever, edge of your seat reading. I was immediately hooked and couldn’t put it down until I’d read every word. As I expected, another great read from this talented author!

Thank you, Ms. Holloway!

After reading the synopsis for this book I knew I had to read it, I’ve never read anything by this author before so that was another reason I had to try it and am I glad I did. This story just flowed so beautifully and I had a hard time putting it down.

I really liked the storyline and although I kind of knew how it would end I had no idea how they would get to the end and that was the part I enjoyed…The building of a relationship and learning to trust after heart ache and hurt from the past was done in an awesome way. I loved both of these characters, although Sacha took a bit longer to win me over, once she did I couldnt help but pull for these two people. I loved the secondary characters in the story as well, Sachas best friend Melanie was awesome and knowing she gets the next book will make it that much harder to wait. I loved the family part of this story as well, but I think my favorite person aside from Gibson and Sacha was Marvil, he made me smile and also broke my heart.

I love a book that makes me feel the emotions I’m reading and this one did that and I can not wait for Melanie’s story and to get to know more about Spencer in the next book.

I’m so glad I picked this book up and will be looking at what else this author has available while I wait for book 2.

Loved it!!

Crime Lord’s Captive (Crime Lord Series Book #1) by Mia Knight – Review by Angela Hayes.

Crime Lord's Captive (Crime Lord, #1)Crime Lord’s Captive by Mia Knight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“You’re back in my world, under my rules. You disobey, and I’ll know. You got me?”

Crime Lord’s Captive is the first book in the Crime Lord Series by Mia Knight. OMG!! I love this series sooooo very much. I devoured this first book, completely riveted by the story- I got to then end and didn’t take a break, diving right into the next book/s because I HAD to know what happens. So, over the course of a whole day and a night, I read the entire series… and WOW!!! Colour me impressed!! Ms. Knight had me completely under her deliciously dark spell- taking me along on a ride I won’t soon forget! This is one of the better Mafia/Dark romances that I’ve read- and I have read quite a few! The story has intense, shocking, violent, bloody, and gruesome details that shook me up and broke me. But there was also an incredible emotional side to the story- that really sets this apart. It has a superb ‘anti-hero’ whom I adored, even with all his controlling, violent ways- and a wonderful, strong female lead- who had me completely invested in them and their story.
This heartbreaking, gut-clenching, harrowing experience was brilliantly done and so incredibly addictive. I was devouring each book, thinking to myself that I shouldn’t like what I was reading, but I DID – and couldn’t put the book/s down. I had to know what would happen. In every book I was torn apart- waiting, watching, expectant- not knowing if I would ever be put back together again. I can’t tell you what happens, because it would ruin the surprise. But believe me, if you like mafia romance, with a dark edge to it- you will want to read this book/series!!
Ms. Knight’s stories are definitely not for the faint of heart- they are not fluffy lolly pops and rainbow romances. They are intense, overwhelming, gritty, raw, brutal, erotic, emotionally devastating- with chemistry that sizzles right off the pages. Ms. Knight made me want bad things……And I liked it! But, be warned, her stories contain subject matter that may ‘trigger’ some readers.
So, if you are looking for something to add an intense ‘flavour’ to your otherwise vanilla existence- then this book/series will definitely do the job!!

Thank you, Ms. Knight!!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes is a lovely romance novel by Blake Blessing that I really enjoyed reading. The title of this book intrigued me as I had no idea what burju shoes were and reading the blurb interested me.
This is the story of Emiliano ‘Emil’ Espocito and Perrin Michaels, 2 characters that I came to love more and more thoughout this book. Emil has recently returned from duty in Iraq and is having major difficulties in adjusting to normal life again. Perrin Michaels in the waitress at the restaurant that Emil’s friend Danny owns. When Perrin shows interest in learning the Bachata dance, Danny suggests that Emil teaches her. Let’s just say that their first few meetings don’t go well.
However, Cupid has different ideas for these two. They grow closer as they spend more time together and Perrin uses the Bachata dance to help with the signs of PTSD that Emil is displaying. I have to admit to having never heard of the Bachata so paid a trip to youtube to check it out. It sure is as sexy and sensual as Blake Blessing makes it out to be during the book.
I really enjoyed this book and I think that the author did a fantastic job of dealing with the issue of PTSD. Oh, and just incase you are still wondering, Burju shoes are the shoes worn when dancing the Bachata.

Nite Fire Chain Reaction by C. L. Schneider

5-Stars

Nite Fire Chain Reaction is the second book in this series following main character Dahlia Nite as she protects the human world from the dangers of other worlds. In this novel she lets more people in. She has always had her walls up until Evans stumbled into her world by accident. I loved that she let more people in in this novel while also protecting everyone from the new drug Chrysalis. The side effects of this drug were gruesome since it was mixed with ingredients not meant for the human DNA. She is such a witty and strong character. I love following her in her adventures. I honestly struggled to put this book down. The author does a magnificent job filling her books with action and excitement as well as making the storyline easy to follow. I also enjoy several of the other supporting characters such as Casey Evans, Alex Creed, Ronnie “Geronimo”, and Coen. There was also quite a bit more romance in this novel than there was in her first book. I am curious to see who she eventually will end up with though.

Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella
By: Meghan O’Flynn
5 out of 5 stars

The story Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn is a book that I loved reading. I have already read the other stories in the Ash Park series and enjoyed reading another book with the character of Edward Petrosky. This novella is when Ed is a patrol officer. He is in love with his fiancé Heather. Then in one night, his dreams for the future are destroyed when he finds Heather’s bloody body half-buried in the snow. Now pain and grief surround him. Who killed Heather? Why was she killed? When another body is found, one that has a connection to where Heather volunteered her time and to the same church she attended, more questions are raised. Will Ed ignore the rules and sacrifice his career to get justice for Heather? Will the killer be caught? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has twists and turns. There is suspense and I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Trying to figure out who was responsible for the crimes being committed is like trying to solve a puzzle. I found myself trying to put together the pieces. Ed is a character that is haunted by his past and a character that I could empathize with. He also has a sharp mind and good instincts. There are other characters that are introduced in this story that I also liked reading about. They are helpful to Ed. Then there are those who have their own agenda and don’t care about who is hurt or the consequences. This is a story that will hook you in and won’t let go until you finish it. I would highly recommend reading it.

Chain ReactionChain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Nite Fire:Chain Reaction is book two in the Nite Fire series by C. L. Schneider. Another brilliant forage into the paranormal. This author puts a clever and unique spin on the genre, as do all authors, but C. L. Schneider stories are just more memorable.

Dahlia is fierce, flawed and protective. She has a job to do, and will stop at nothing to get the job done. Something strange is happening to the the people of Sentinal City, and it is up to her to investigate.  It is a mystery that needs to be solved, bu is she fighting against a force she does not recognise? It was gripping stuff to unveil the deep, dark and mysterious surrounding Dahlia and team.

Nite Fire:Chain Reaction was an extremely suspenseful and riveting story, which kept the anxiety at a high, nervousness at a high, wonder at a high and expectation far exceeded. The talent is so evident, in every word you can tell of the hard work that went into the revolution of storyline and each character. I can appreciate the effort the author went to to deliver such top quality reading. I for one really enjoy theses stories and love the edge of your seat, hand over mouth suspense that this author consistently produces. 5 stars.

Beneath the Surface (A Gray Ghost Novel Book #3) by Amy McKinley – Review by Angela Hayes

Beneath the Surface (Gray Ghost #3)Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“We all have our own secrets to bear, our demons in the past”……

Beneath the Surface is the third book in the Gray Ghosts series by Amy McKinley. It is a fantastic, adrenaline fueled, and action packed romantic suspense. It has a second-chances aspect to the story- with drama, violence, bloody battle scenes, secrets, lies, promises, twists, special forces, espionage, Guerrilla’s, intrigue, danger, gripping situations, and plenty of emotion. The characters are superb, and OMG!- Ms. McKinley certainly puts them through the wringer. I was on tenterhook’s, holding my breath, catapulted from one intense moment right into the next- all the while trying to figure out what would happen next. But, as expected, Ms. McKinley kept me guessing the whole way through.
The story is set against the backdrop of Washington DC, and the deadly environment of the Colombian jungle. The story swallowed me up (in a great way), as I became totally immersed in all the espionage, action, thrills and danger. There was nowhere to turn, the story has me firmly in its grip, and I loved it. I adored “Eye of the Storm” (Book #2) and it was easily my favourite of the series, until this book came along- and now I am having a hard time choosing which one I love more. I guess because this story is set in the same time frame, and the storyline runs parallel with Book #2 (Chris and Mari’s story) is why I love it so much. It has the same feel and intensity, but with its own powerful identity. This could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the rest of the series to get all the backstories, character information, and other pertinent details. As well as the other books being fantastic stories in their own rights! You can’t go wrong with Ms. McKinley at the wheel!
Can’t wait to see what she does next!!!!

Thank you, Ms. McKinley!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing was an overall great read for me. This book had a great addictive storyline that I felt like I was flipping through the pages to see what more the author had in store for the readers.

Emil has recently come home from war and still has a great relationship with all his buddies he served with. One close friend who was like a brother managed to stay alive through the extended tours they did only to come home and be in a fatal car accident. Emil has severe issues with PTSD and sometimes he cannot control his reactions to certain sounds.

Perrin is a woman who does different activities whenever she finds something that interests her. Her most recent interest is to learn to bachata. Her boss Danny knows just the man to teach her but he says no.

The first two times Perrin and Emil saw each other was nothing pleasant. As a matter of fact, Emil was a total jerk to her when she showed up at his place for another reason.

Will Emil finally give in and be able to teach Perrin to dance Bachata style?
They end up becoming very close friends and Feelings get involved. Will Perrin be able to deal with Emil’s PTSD or will that be a deal breaker. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster. There is so much sadness and loss but there is also some happy times too.

Caught in the Spin by Sharleen Scott is the second book in the Caught series. The story is about Tallie Peters and Tom Black. Tallie has rebuilt her life with her young son. Tom is a former bull rider who has a string of short romances. When the two meet the sparks start to fly. Tallie is dealing with her ex threatening her and Tom helps to come to her and her son’s rescue. Can the two get over their pasts and find romance? This like the first book in the series is well written with enduring characters. I enjoyed reading the progression of the story and the hardships that Tallie faces. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan – Review by Maura Harper

Killer LawyerKiller Lawyer by Mark Nolan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and while story threads and characters are carried over from the previous books, I think everything is pretty well explained as they are introduced. Even though it could be read as a stand-alone, I think it’s a better reading experience to read in order.

This story is told in multiple POVs (yes, I count the dog’s thoughts as a POV) and there are several things going on at the same time. There are lots of characters in this mystery/suspense and the story kept me engaged from the very beginning.

I definitely recommend this story and this author. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

Beneath the Surface (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 3) by Amy McKinley – Review by Jenni Bishop

Beneath the Surface (Gray Ghost #3)Beneath the Surface by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beneath the Surface (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 3) by Amy McKinley is another great book in this series that I have grown to love. Watching the boys turn into men has made me feel protective of them but they have done me proud. Amy has done a great job of writing these wonderful characters and her writing style is captivating and gripping. I love the way she weaves the intrigue and drama, mystery and suspense throughout the book to make it one book you are unable to put down.

Hannah is not what she seems, not even close. She is such a complex character that has been through more than anyone person should ever have to endure. The pain the heartache and the lies all come to a head that you don’t see coming. But the one thing she can count on fights for her and to stay in her life.

Jack finds himself preparing for a mission and when he hears who is involved nothing but nothing will keep him away. Along the way he finds everything he thought he knew was nothing like the reality he is forced to encounter.

I really look forward to reading more in this series. I love it.

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space Book 1) by Landra Graf – Review by Jenni Bishop

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space, #1)A Talent for Trouble by Landra Graf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Talent for Trouble (Bad Boys of Space Book 1) by Landra Graf is a science fiction romance story that is full of action and danger, adventure and a little romance. This is my first book by Landra and it is well written and intriguing. This is a space story where there are battles and the hope of survival, whilst those in power rule their domain with heavy handedness and murder. It is interesting and very entertaining as we travel on this journey with these lovable quirky characters that Landra has created and bred life into. The banter between the characters is entertaining, as is the comradery and friendships and the knowledge that family does not have to be by blood.

Emilio Morales has never had much luck and it seems to be getting worse. He has made a deal with the devil and one that has terrifying consequences. But before he can begin he has to face a devil of his own and in doing so, he encounters the most frustrating woman in the universe and that one woman is determined to make his life hell.

Toni Smith is sassy and independent and has always had a rough life and always finds herself in the wrong situations. On a quest to find what is rightfully hers, she encounters the most frustrating man in the universe and that one man is determined to make her life hell.

This is a fun story that should not be missed by those who enjoy this genre. I wonder where Landra takes us next.

Perilous Confessions (The Possession Chronicles #1) by Carrie Dalby – Review Lisa Helmick

Perilous Confessions (The Possession Chronicles Book 1)
By Carrie Dalby
Rated 4 stars

I was way wrong about this book. With the cover photo and The word possession in the series name. I thought this was a demonic story. But it doesn’t seem to be that way at all. It a love affair back in the early years. Where ladies were meant to be respectable and the men rakish. This deals with that as well as the darker side of those days. How can a love survive when everyone and everything is against them?
I enjoyed the characters but felt the story was overly long. It was repeated telling of the devotion and love for the main couple. Near the end it picked up and got crazy. I kept waiting for something to happen. The other “proverbial” shoe to drop. Each of the main characters was adventurous and wanted to live outside the norms of society. Tough to do with family obligations. Edward and Fredrick were nice secondary characters. They added charm and appeal. Eliza is not at all what I expected. She is a free spirit who enjoys what life has to offer.

I enjoyed the story. Alex and Lucy were lovely and I really rooted for them. I loved that he called her: “My queen…..”. At the ending and after reading the epilogue I am left with more questions than answers. Then I read the sneak peak of the next book and am even more confused. This is a first time author for me. It was easy to get into the story and learn to like the characters (flaws and all) but I was wishing for a more satisfying ending.

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Full Glasses and Burju ShoesFull Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes was my first book by Blake Blessing. This was a beautiful story that will pull at every emotion you have. Emil and Perrin’s story felt so real like a friend was telling it to me. I loved how when the author was describing the dancing, I could see it so clear in my mind. I don’t know what it is about military stories, I always cry; maybe the subject matter hits a little close to home for me. Highly recommend reading this and remember “always keep your glasses full”.

Not So Broken (Love Grows Series, # 1) by Renee Regent – Review By Chantelle Smith

Not So Broken (Love Grows Series, # 1)Not So Broken by Renee Regent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With emotions running high and some incredible characters Not So Broken, makes an incredible introduction to the Love Grows Series by Renee Regent. This is my first read from this author and now most certainly will not be my last.
This book was everything, this author has created such a real and raw storyline, and amazing characters you couldn’t help but love following their journey through this read and hoping they get the HEA they so rightly deserve.

Gib and Sacha’s journey in this book is one I completely got lost in and loved experiencing things along with characters. Both of these characters have raw and painful pasts, something they try not to let overcome their day to day life but ultimately it does and affects them in ways they didn’t really know. But with everything that happens the connection these two have is undeniable and rightfully so perfect for each other, I still can’t believe how long Sacha tries to deny it for, and how she can’t see that even through the ups and downs and rollercoasters they both face these two prove their connection is real and is meant to be.
With emotions running high for me as the reader one minute laughing and smiling the next holding back the tears, this book truly captivated me with two amazing strong, independent characters this is a story not to be missed!

I can’t wait to see what Renee Regent will bring to the rest of this series – and hope this isn’t the last of Gib & Sacha’s story!
This book is not to be missed!
