It has been a while since I have read a Mystery and I have to say I am so happy that I decided to read this fantastic book snuggled up on a cold winters day. I was completely hooked from start to finish! I loved the very creatively written story that takes us back in time so vividly you really can imagine everything as if you are right there with the characters. Speaking of characters I really liked Cora, as the lead character. She is smart and intriguing. The author added in some fabulous twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting at all. If you like YA mystery then this is definitely the book for you!

If I had to get straight to the point about this book and in just one sentence describe it, I would say that it is a highly entertaining, querky Paranormal romance that keeps you interested from start to finish. But since when do I get straight to the point! LOL. I really enjoyed all elements of this book from the wonderful characters, some you love and some you hate, to the storyline filled with both heart and laughter. I will definitely be going back and reading book 1 then reading book 2 again as I believe it will further enhance my enjoyment of the series. This author definitely has a new fan in me.

As this series continues I am yet again captivated by the relationships of both friends and family detailed and developing throughout the storyline. You could if you wish read this fun and heartfelt book on its own but I do highly recommend reading this series from the start as there is a storyline threaded through this book that started in the first and I believe will further develop in the 3rd. You won’t want to miss any details.
This book brings us the story of Mia and Nicholas and adds more to the story of the wonderful Yiayia and her life. Wow she is one sassy woman that I’d love to have in my life. Nicholas falls for Mia straight away but boy oh boy does he hate that idea and acts out accordingly. In fact his hostility around her is so strong she is absolutely convinced he hates her. Again there are lots of twists and turns in their story to keep you captivated and wanting more! Bring on book 3 I say!

I truly enjoyed this wonderful read and I can’t wait to read more in this fun, heartfelt series. You are instantly drawn into this strongly bonded family. They may well drive each other completely crazy at times but they are ALWAYS there for each other no matter what. That really resonated with me. This first book brings us the story of Kally and Max who have both been hurt by previous relationships and are very unsure that their futures can actually include a romantic relationship. With lots of twists and turns you are kept captivated by their budding relationship as they navigate lifes possibilities. This book also includes a back story involving Kallys Yiayia that draws you in and I hope it continues in the following books because I need to now more about this sassy lady!

The Second Alpha HeirThe Second Alpha Heir by C.L. Ledford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow! What can I say about this totally captivating and entertaining book. Nolen is a wonderful character and right from the very start I was 100% on his side and wanted him to thrive and succeed. He was the second son, bullied by his pack and definitely not seen as a leader in any way. That all changes and he must become the Alpha and lead his pack into the future. He receives very important training from another pack, where he also makes very valuable bonds. Amora the younger sister to his best friend Sawyer becomes extremely important to his and his packs future. All the characters are wonderfully written and the storyline so creative that once you start reading you won’t be able to put it down.

It is a rough start for Bella because it is most definitely not what she is used to but over time she more than fits in, she becomes family. I love this series so much! Even though this is the second book in the series you could read this without having read the previous book and fully enjoy it. I say read them both though simply because they are fantastic books from an amazing author with fun storylines and truly loveable characters.
This book sees us follow Bridger, an Enforcer for the Astoria Bay Thunder with a rep problem and Tia, a passionate young woman trying to recover from a mistake made in her younger years that keeps coming back to haunt her, as they navigate a new friendship. It is a fun filled ride full of not only laughter and love but plenty of emotion!

I am seriously struggling to find the right words to do this book and it’s talented author the justice it truly deserves. I was so not ready for the emotional rollercoaster that I was taken on while reading this and while my level of respect for our service men and women was already high, this is most definitely a very strong reminder that it should be even more so. It reinforces to all who read it not just what is sacrificed during service but the battles that continue well after they are home with loved ones and the lasting effects it can all have. While I have never experienced this for myself so can not say that I fully understand, this wonderful author has helped to further open my eyes and for that I am forever grateful.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seth is such a great guy who just wants to be seen as exactly that and not so much as the billionaire that he has become as his business has become successful. Meanwhile Victoria is a passionate woman going after her own success in her own career. They first meet in a kind of mistaken identity situation but you just know they will be taking you on a fun ride in this not to be missed book!
OMG I love this author and her ability to create such fun, lovable characters and stories with so much heart and laughter at the same time! If I could give this book and this author more than five stars I absolutely would!! This book absolutely can be read as a standalone even though it is in fact the third book in this series. I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading the first two books as well though simply because they are as fantastic as this one so you are missing out big time of you don’t! I can’t wait for book 4 and the story of Noah!

Right from the very start of this fabulous book you are drawn straight into the lives of these wonderful characters this amazing author has created. I fell for Ellawyn, Beckett and sweet Benji right from their first appearances in the book. I knew their stories were not going to be easy ones but the entire time I lived in hope that the good would outweigh the bad in the end. For me it was one of those books where you are torn between wanting to read it as fast as you can because you just have to know what is going to happen and wanting to take your time with it because you don’t want it to end. I can’t wait to return to Quimby Grove to see what is next for this gorgeous little community and it friendly residents.

Wow Jonas and Kenzie came to us in a very powerful story that absolutely knocked me off my feet! I knew from the previous books that Jonas was a huge player and at the start of this book I have to be honest and say I really didn’t like him. True to this amazing author and her creative style though, she changed my mind completely with a totally captivating and deeply meaningful storyline. I have read the previous books in this series so I started this book hoping it would be just as good as the others but it far exceeded my hopes. My heart was engaged in these characters and went along with them every single step of the way. I have got to say that at times it was absolutely heart wrenching. To go into to much detail of the actual storyline I believe would give far too much away. The best thing I can do for you is tell you to RUN not walk but run and grab a copy right now!! Get reading!! This is one book you do not want to miss!

5 stars from start to finish and I would give it more if I could. I absolutely love the little town of Parker Lake and all its wonderful, very colourful characters. I was so happy to be able to read another story in this amazing series but also for Karen and her story to be told. I was hooked from page one until the very last word. This fantastic author creates such a vivid reading experience that you feel a true part of this wonderful town and you simply can’t put the book down until you see what happens next. As book 4, it tells the story of Karen and Brody and while they have been either featured a little or mentioned in previous books your reading experience will not be tarnished in any way if you haven’t read the previous books. I do HIGHLY recommend reading the previous books however because they are so awesome you really don’t want to miss out on them.

Since the very start of this series I have been waiting for Trey to have his story told as he was a character I fell in love with early on even though we had only seen him a little bit and this definitely did not disappoint. While at times I don’t think it was as tense as previous books of the series I was still on the edge of my seat the whole time and so did not see a major twist that came our way coming. Not even a hint of the twist anywhere! That is a great author if you ask me. Trey and Hailey are so meant to be and these wonderful characters take us on a fun wild ride!
