Bared: A Green St Girls Romance by N.D. Jackson is, at its heart, a story about great friendships and how strong connections mean everything. I loved that, even though the story was about Athena and Tru, it was about all four women as well. It felt like you really connected with them and for me they made the whole story. This is an author that I have become more familiar with recently and I love her writing style. Each book feels distinctly different from the last I read and I enjoy that about her work. This is a great overall book and I am looking forward to whatever comes next.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I enjoyed being pulled in from the beginning. This is a fast paced story that I found to be engaging and hard to put down. The characters are not only relatable but also hot and steamy. They gave life to the story on every page. This is a story about Theo and Aria. He is a cop that is trying to take down a mafia family. He is someone that Aria would love to hate and love. There is a raging war with her family and the problem is Theo is the one who wants to be the victor. He is supposed to be off limits but she can’t help it that everytime he touches her, something happens. What will fate have in store for these two? I enjoyed the chemistry between these two and their heat is off the charts. The growth between these two is amazing. They really made the story for me. This is worth the pick up and I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this friends to enemies story. This is a sweet romance-mystery story that kept me engaged and turning pages to the end. This is a well written story that had me laughing throughout the story. The characters are connectable and bring life to the story. They are written with a lot of heart and soul. The author’s use of details made the story realistic and fun to read. This is a story about Elle and Zane. She thinks that he is trying to sabotage her business. The only way she can prove it is to get close to him. Will she get more than she bargained for? What will fate have in store for these two? I really enjoyed these two characters. They truly made the story for me. I am happy I picked up this book and the laughs that come with it. I highly recommend this book.

I love cozy romantic stories and this one really delivered! It was as if a delicious cake with all the layers needed to satisfy a craving, but yet left you wanting more! This was my first read by the author and I am completely head over heels with her work! I spent my entire day reading this, no regrets here! It was a great way to fulfill my morning!
I am a past bakery owner so I always love stories that focus around a bakery. Throw in the two main characters Elle and Zane. Both truly different, but can they find common ground? Perhaps there is a attraction between one another but, both are so wrapped up in their own worlds they can not see it?
Elle owns a wonderful bakery that belonged to her mom. Having this bakery truly has a special place in Elle’s heart. You can tell as you get to know her character that keeping it is really everything to her. As Elle has this bakery.. well so does Zane, but he owns a bakery next door. He is on a different financial level in terms of Elle. He’s basically quite rich. And he is the type of guy if he wants something as in obtaining the next door bakery, you can damn well be sure he’s going to make sure he gets it .To put it mildly, Zane knows how to push Elle’s buttons. As stubborn as she is, she is not one to give in. Even if he may have very charming good looks as well as well as is good with his hands (in terms of baking of course) Perhaps zingers of an attraction can make a dessert so heavenly that it can melt the steel walls between these two people? But they are sworn enemies. How possibly can they over come their differences and realize what is front of them is maybe everything they ever needed?
Elle is a strong and determined person. She believes if she charms Zane with her sweet desserts she will have him wrapped around her finer. She believes matters of the heart are always easy to ignore and she can do this. As time goes on they both grow and change in different ways and we the readers learn new things about their characteristics. They both have a different personality that is so likable and lets face it, they both have that cute personality and their methods of how they go about one another has so much adorableness you cant shy away from wanting to read more to see how things go about!
They both did the unthinkable. Yup. They fell crazy in love with one another. Ells is facing some personal things more than meets the eye. Though she failed her original plan she found the one thing she may very well be unable to live without! But will love triumph overall? Is there wedding bells in this future and perhaps even a wedding cake? Or will this all end before it really even had a chance to put frosting on the cake?
I could not put this book down. Zane and Elle kept me reading and wanting more. I swear it was a good tasting cake. Perfect balance of sweetness but, not to sweet where I had to put it down. i was rooting for these two seriously destined to be together humans. Even if at times they didn’t see eye to eye, they were indeed the perfect recipe for one another.
Again really enjoyed this book and did not want to spare a moment till I finished reading it. Very happy I got to read this book and grow along with Elle and Zane!
Highly recommend. I am pretty sure you wont be able to put it down as I was. Most importantly this author did an amazing story and I truly enjoyed and was quite happy reading it! Wonderful read!

I loved the way the author wove the stories of U.S. black history into personal journal entries through generations of a family. The book included historic moments and public figures, and offered several events I hadn’t previously learned about. The storytelling manner made the factual information easier to digest and feel less like a history lesson. I found it interesting to read about the events from the perspective of both children and adults, which helped really weave an intricate tapestry full of emotion. Having read gruesome accounts of slavery, I appreciated gaining a bit more knowledge of modern black history and how the weight of the past has been carried through generations.

The pair find themselves the center of attention among Athena’s friends, who are concerned she’s given up finding joy in life for the comforts of self-reliance, and Tru’s mom, who wants to see her son settle down and have kids already. For Athena’s part, she’s still grieving her best friend’s death and trying to overcome emotional baggage she’s used to just running away from. For Tru’s part, he’s been toyed with before, and after spending some time together, is looking for more than just a fun time.
The author does a great job setting the scene and providing character development. This book has a strong, independent woman who isn’t looking for a hero, which is my favorite type of protagonist; Athena is self-made and only needs to battle her own past to overcome the obstacles in her way. I found the plot to be refreshing in that it wasn’t overly dark despite heavier topics (like grief and abandonment), there were healthy relationships between the characters, and the emotional rollercoaster that goes along with dating someone new was super relatable.

The Singer and Her Song is the second book in the Empire at Twilight series. This book easily stands alone. To be completely honest, I did not like this book. You may be thinking wait, didn’t you give it 4 stars? I did not like it, but I could not put it down. I stayed up most of the night once I started reading this story. It was so good and such a challenging book. Uqnitum was so frustrating, and I wanted to shake her! Her story was tragic and hard. My heart was broken for her over and over again. She became a person that even she didn’t like to be able to survive the horrors in her life. This story was gut wrenching but thought provoking. What would you sacrifice for your kids? Don’t read this book to be entertained; read this mother’s story to be changed.

I’ve never read any work by this author, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going into it, but I loved the cover, so I decided to pick it up and check it out. I’m glad that I did because it was a really good book. I love books about small towns because I’ve lived in one myself and know all to well how everyone knows everybody’s business. And that of course leads to all kinds of hilarious and fun stories. This was one of those reads and these “friends” that are so supportive of one another that it reminded me of the movie “Steel Magnolias”. I laughed so many times throughout this book because I could just imagine the scenes playing out in front of me. I really do hope that the author will continue this series because I would love to read more of the stories about all these characters. If you like funny, romantic, and steamy rom-coms then I highly recommend that you pick up this book.

I love historical romances, and I love Wareeze Woodson’s writing. I spent much of the book angry with Rhys! How can this man be so obtuse?! It’s Carter’s turn to find romance. Vanessa drops into his lap when she brings a friend into the ER for a strange bite. All he can do is think about her. As they build their friendship/relationship, odd things are happening. Action packed through the whole book. The whole family is their to help to help-out. Wonderfully romantic and a definitely unpredictable read. Fast plot with lots of twists. Highly recommend.

A definite page-turner, you will fall in love with the members of this family and root for Max and Claudia. What a great book! Highly recommend.

This was an absolutely fun read. I was laughing throughout the book just imagining what was happening and how someone could get themselves involved in trouble at every turn. No matter how hard she tried Sophie could not keep her nose out of this crime and it seemed that she was proving that curiosity is not always a good thing. Sophie’s character, and all of the others as well, was so fun and easy to associate with as normal everyday person and someone that I would love to hang out with, can’t wait for the next book.
This was a great read. Its my favourite type of book. I love a crime Thriller that keeps you gripped from the first page. The author does an amazing job not only of portraying his characters but also in the writing of the twists and the psychological challenges that face our detectives.
Levi Andrews is now a retired detective. He worked with his partner to capture the Azrael killer. With the death of his wife and his partner he leaves after the suspect is caught and the murders stopped.
However when Detective Parker Williams turns up on Levis doorstep, his world is turn upside down. There has been murders committed and they hold all the hallmarks of the Azrael killer. Did Levi capture the right person? Is the killer still at large and back to their murderous ways? Is it a copycat? If it is then why now after so long? Working together Levi and Parker need solve this case with the help from the past case and all Levisham knowledge. However getting into the mind of a killer means it changes you and scares you at the same time.

Serena and Ethan came together as teacher and student as part of a coven. The chemistry is there. They seemed to have met when Serena helped Ethan’s sister, whose talents as an oracle came into play. Ethan seems to have visions of Serena’s demise so they spend time trying to figure out who and why is trying to kill her. Serena is pretty independent. It is soo hard due to her history to ask for help and depend on others but she learns that it is okay to ask. Ethan and his family are there to help. The action in packed in and keeps you drawn just to figure out who the culprit is. Great job at keeping interest. Love it and highly recommend.

The Third Nanny (Secrets of Redemption) by Michele PW (Pariza Wacek). OMG! This book was amazing. I love psychological thrillers so this was right up my alley but my lanta I had no clue what I was in for. I read this book in one sitting it was so good. Its the story of Janey who hasn’t heard from her sister Kelly in 8 years and mysteriously receives a letter from her. Not hearing from Kelly all these years have left her wondering and hoping and now this letter is very disturbing talking about danger and begging for help. Well of course she sets out to find her and as she does she find out all kinds of secrets, lies and sadness. Its a twisty, dangerous, scary adventure and at times Janey is wondering if it worth all this. Will the fact that Kelly was a nanny for a family hold some information as to what happened. As Janey digs she begins to worrry for her own safety but is determined to find Kelly. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing book. I can’t wait to find more books by this author!

Another enjoyable read from this author. It’s nice to find a historical author who writes in nice detail such as this one. The characters were really interesting to read about and I really liked following their journey. After everything that happened between the two main characters, I felt like I was so invested in their story, I felt for them and also the others that were intertwined in their lives. I won’t say that I loved all of the characters all of the times but they definitely made for good reading in my opinion. I really did feel for Rebecca, after everything she went through, I felt she deserved a little more from Rhys. Overall, this was a really enjoyable story, some nice little twists that made it less predictable than I anticipated and I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Chatroom With A View by Glenn Maynard. This book was very disturbing but in a good way. It kept me up late in the night turning pages! Its the story of Troy Cullen who’s life has been hard to say the least. His father abuses him and his mother and he stays at home to protect his mother. He feels stuck but knows he has no other choice. He works at the local diner and has some friends but when he meets a girl in a chat room things start to change. They dated for a while but when she wasn’t what she appeared they broke up. She starts calling him again wanting to meet and he’s adamant about not doing it. But when she tells him why she’s wanting to get in touch with him he’s shocked! This story is the epitome of “dysfunctional family” going all the way back to Lizzie Borden being a relative. Do yourself a favor and read this thrilling, dark book! You won’t be disappointed!

Loved it! That is the easiest way to sum up what I thought of this book. This was a first time author for me, and I am so glad I got to start reading their work! This was a first novel in the series, and needless to say I will be defiantly reading the next ones to follow. It had the right amount of mystery, paranormal, and flames of desire to fuel my inner heart as I sip my coffee and hang onto the pages as I turn them.
First off, I picked this book up as its one of my favorite genres-paranormal. Throw in a super sexy vampire whom is a Overlord named Salvatore and yes you have me hooked even more! His descriptions were defiantly fantasy material. But, I what I truly loved about Salvatore was his personality. Don’t get me wrong, he was his own version of fire, and he had that characteristic strong in him. But other than his sex appeal he was a strong character, mind wise I would say. He cared for his people. They were being blamed for other female humans vanishing. He wanted nothing more to solve the mystery and put an end to this. He had a rough exterior but I loved his caring side he did not let out very often.
Salvatore was a lone vampire to say until he met a creature whom not only captures his eyes, but in small words his very soul. Her name was Luciana and she was looking into the case of the women who strangely began to vanish with no reason. I loved her personally. She was strong minded as well, but she was stubborn in the sense of she’s not letting anything stop her. She was a detective working undercover and she was the type of person who would not rest till the case was done and buried with. What I most found intriguing of her, was what she could do with her mind. You will have to read it to see what I am referring to at this point.
Sparks fly when these two meet. There was strong desire, but also strong sense will that giving in would just be a mess of trouble. But can these two truly ignore the flames that ignite around them? The touch that gives that very fire to your soul, can you really ignore what you want so bad? Or is giving in perhaps the worst idea to ever cross your mind knowing there could be consequences?
As the plot thickens, lots of loose ends seemed to be tied together as the mystery unraveled. As well what was instore for Lucianna and Salvatore! This book gave so much to me and I wanted more still. it was just so good and I did not want t put it down. it was as if a ember in my own soul was right there with the characters and I as well was trying to resist the heat that I wanted to consume me.
Loved this book for all it brought, and all it left me wanting more of. the characters were made to be very well done and very easy to get to know as well as distinguish them! The author did an amazing job and I can not truly wait for the next books in the series. They truly know how to captivate their reader and keep them reading those pages to see what happens next!
Again loved this book and truly recommend! You will not be disappointed in any shape or form!

Jessica is a young woman with ambition and a wish to travel as much as she can, but she is feeling stifled and under pressure at her family’s resort, so she decides to temporarily move away and start a bed and breakfast, she chooses somewhere in the small town of Westbeach which needs renovation and determined to do most of it herself, but her cousin keeps steamrolling over that and insists on helping here, even when she doesn’t need it. Will is a young man who works as a web designer, he mostly works from home, but he has had to move in with his sister’s children so he can look after them while she is in rehab, he has left everything behind to take on this new responsibility and he couldn’t be happier about it, especially because he can still do his job.
Jessica is a month into the renovations and has set up a meeting with Will, so that she can get started on the B&B website so that it is ready for when it opens, he is a friend with a bit of a tangled history and as they talk business, they realise that they work together well too, conversation soon turns to Will’s living situation and how it is going, when he inadvertently asks for help with a bake sale, but Jessica agrees, she isn’t going to turn away from spending some extra time with Will, but she is shocked when he suggests his house, they agree on a time and a day and leave it there. When he gets home, he tells the kids about the plan and before they go to bed, his sister calls and wants to talk to them, Will lets her, but he is worried and this turns out to be the least of them, when he receives a mysterious phone call from a stranger, he thinks nothing more of it until he starts to get notes and photo’s taped to his door, they are demanding money and threatening further action if the demands are not met.
As the days pass and life is seemingly back to normal, Will finds another letter, but this isn’t the only escalation, the kids have brought letters home as well that a stranger gave them, this set’s Will’s nerves on edge and he calls on some help, as he thinks about what to do, he is offered a room for him and the kids to stay in by Jessica, he has tried not to think about her and their attraction too much, but her kindness and support are quickly breaking down any barriers he try’s to erect between them. Will he be able to figure out who is behind the letters and threats before the situation becomes too dangerous, or will time run out? Can he keep away from the woman showing his everything he wants to have, or will emotions run wild and free despite the situation? This is a thrilling race against time with plenty of tension throughout, the danger hooks you in and the romance keeps you there as past and present collide to unsettle the future.

This book is incredible. It is completely different than the author’s Relic Hunters series, yet it still has the same sense of adventure the author excels at. This new world is so detailed and interesting. I really want to be there and felt pulled in immediately. The author does such a fantastic job in this tale of fantasy. Then there are the characters. Slayer is such a wonderful primary character. She has such a past that forged who she has become. Not to mention that she still learns as the book goes on. She has her flaws, but is ruled by her heart. She is what really makes this book and what I hope to be a long-running series.
If you like fantasy stories with imaginative worlds and strong female main characters, this book is definitely for you.

This cozy mystery, Death of a Coupon Queen, by Jenna Harte is another hit in my book! This is a light-hearted, fun mystery read. Harte does an amazing job developing characters and storyline. This story kept me entertained, made me laugh, and had me turning the pages until the mystery was solved! I love this one as much as the first and can’t wait for the next Sophie Parker mystery!

Perhaps this has always been part of the plan. A new threat looms on the horizon as an old foe returns to Ireland. The gods are being summoned for the battle. I truly loved this book. It is completely enchanting.

The treatment of females by male dragons in this rogue faction is not a good step for developing a relationship. The women are taken captive and kept to produce heirs. Hamersveld is working with the Razorback pack of dragons when he first saw Natalie. He wants her desperately, and does what he can to keep her relatively unscathed while she is a captive. Natalie eventually attempts escape and find herself with Hamersveld away from the main populace. Will she spends time with him as he hopes? Will she want him too? This is a wonderful adventure filled with angst, anticipation and desire. Such a good read!

This is a sweeping tale of survival. I feel like Holmes did a fantastic job of describing what it would have been like to live during that time and to be conquered by the Assyrians. I couldn’t help but feel like I was transported back in time, watching everything happen. The cities, the characters, the palaces simply came alive in my mind as I read.
Uqnitum is a hard character to love. But you have to give her mad respect because she is able to keep herself and her pregnant daughter alive after their lives are turned upside down. She acts rashly and doesn’t always make the wisest choices because she is trying to make up for a where she has failed in the past and the present. While her choices were not always helpful, it does work out in the end for the better. I appreciated how in the end, she was finally able to move beyond herself to reflect on the choices that she had made. She was able to recognize what needed to change, and then made that difficult choice to fix it.
I really enjoyed this read. If you want a heart wrenching tale of historical survival, this is your book!

Pet Me is the first book in the Toye Shoppe series by Angelique Jurd. I loved a good M/M romance and added in a younger/older kinky troupe, even better. I was surprised how much I enjoyed Bailey and Sam’s story as this was my first book by this author.
Watching Bailey transform from a shy, innocent man to a rainbow unicorn with Sam beside him showing him love and support was wonderful. Even the secondary characters have me wanting more. I can’t wait for more in this series.

I’m a big fan of true crime/ murder mystery novels, so I was very excited to read this book. I love how the author chips away at Lillian’s side of the story. There is a lot of character development as the reader begins to question their initial impressions of Lillian. This is a hard hitting and sometimes difficult read. Be warned, it deals with some graphic subjects in a very detailed way. It is a book that will stay with you for a very long time.

Jarvis Mann is quite the character. Quirky, unique and a personality of his own, he keeps you going right from the beginning. This book was action packed from the start. It jumped right into Jarvis starting with investigation Rocky’s death and going from there. He just takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I couldn’t put the book down. I felt like I was sucked into the universe Jarvis Mann was in. R. Weir has does a really terrific job of bringing everything together.
