Lies That Bind: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 6 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. I can’t get enough of this series. Just when I think it can’t get any better this author proves me so wrong. I love getting lost in the pages of this series. Without fail the storyline and characters draw me into this world created with words and I have the hardest time leaving when I reach the end. I love a story that keeps me guessing and that’s exactly what I know I’ll be getting when I pick up a book from this series and author. The characters are so easy to connect with and I’ve definitely developed a fondness for each one over this series. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I highly recommend this series to anyone and everyone. Five stars all the way!

The Sound of SilenceThe Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Sound of Silence (Leave Me Breathless) by Dakota Willink. I love a story about characters who go through some of the most horrible things and learn to live again. This was my first read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. This book isn’t for everyone it definitely has some hard issues brought up that may be difficult for some. I love books like this which may seem weird but I love when the characters aren’t shiny and new. I love tough characters that go through heck and back and can still be ok in the end. This book had me completely hooked from start to finish. The characters are complex and relatable, you can’t help but root for them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Unwrapped by Evelyn Sola. When I read the “about” part of this story I knew I had to read it. This author is new to me but after this book I’ll definitely be looking for more. The author blended steamy romance with well written storyline nicely. Sometimes it can be a bit heavy handed but I didn’t feel that in the story. In the beginning it was a little slower but once I was drawn in I didn’t want it to end. I had a easy time connecting with each character and they each really made to story. It’s well written and paced nicely. I’m definitely excited to see what else this author has to offer. Four stars and highly recommended!

The Dog Thief and Other Stories by Jill Kearney. I was pleasantly surprised by this collection of stories that definitely captured my heart. This collection of short stories will have great meaning to those who love animals and mane give some insight to those who may not feel a strong connection to animals. These stories really show a realistic view on both human world and animal world. If your looking for something light and fun I suggest maybe going elsewhere because this set of stories will speak to you in a completely different light. The author definitely captured me from beginning to end though and as an animal lover I truly appreciate the insight this author put into this book. Four stars and highly recommended!

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4) by Phoebe Alexander. I loved loved loved these books. Seriously this author just gets to me. Each story has characters you can’t help root for and each of the stories took a piece of my heart when I was done. I love when authors come out with box sets I just think it’s a great way for new readers to be introduced to amazing authors. And who doesn’t love having books you love all in one go? Each story pulled me in and my only complaint is that all good things have to end. And these stories will have you so sad at the end of your time with each character. But the good news is they are just as good the second time you read them. I’m giving this box set five big stars and highly recommend you going to add it to your reading list.
