Wow this book really took me on a journey of emotions. I love when a novel can really make you stop and think about life and what you have and how darn grateful you are for it. This book definitely does that and more. I was so blown away by how much I found myself balling and connecting with the characters, for several different and personal reasons I won’t get into. This book might be a tad triggering for some with the topic of teen pregnancy adoption, etc but this author does such an amazing job writing with compassion that you I feel like you would still be able to read and enjoy this book for everything it is despite its triggers. I can’t wait to see what else is available from Angela Christina Archer!

These books have really sucked me in by the ever so talented Hazel Storm! THE GOD is the second book in the HER THREE IMMORTAL series so I would highly recommend that you go get book one, THE DON before you dive into this one. That one is just as fab, but we pick up right where we left off in that one so you may be a tad left in the dark if you don’t start there. These books take one of my favorite subjects of Greek Mythology and really plays a wonderful spin on it that just is done so wonderfully that I can’t help but love every single moment I spend with the characters. The romance is done well and believable so that is always a plus for me as well. I loved this addition and will definitely be back for the next book that looks like it is due out very soon!

Yall, I said it before when I reviewed the first book in the Shadow Chronicles and I will say it again but these books are not your average vampire reads and everyone should go run and one-click them! They are just fab and I have become and instant fan of CR Robertson as a result. I love her knack for writing paranormal romance books and her ability to restore my faith in vampire reads once again. I used to love this genre and really really loved reading Anne Rice and whatnot but just became really burned out and sad when Twilight killed it, yes I know I am one of those that could have done without that whole franchise all together. Anywho Forbidden Mate took me on a magnificent ride and kept me reading late into the night. In fact it kept the hubby up too who may or may not be reading these now, oopsies lol. Not sorry actually. These books have something for everyone with action and adventure, intrigue and suspense and the underlying romance is enough to keep me so glued to the kindle I can’t bear it. I will most definitely be stalking and hoping for book three to be available soon!

This is such a wonderful boxed set with so many different areas of interest covered for young adult readers that it would be a wonderful one to snag a gift or read for yourself! I love box sets from my favorite authors for this reason! I can share all my favorites in such a convenient way and start people with a wonderful series. The Marcy Series has something for everyone like I said with a strong female lead and really brings to a whole host of supporting side characters to fall in love with as well. I have included below the review for the first two books in the series individually as well so you can get a taste of what is in them in depth a bit more but this is one that you do not want to miss out on!
RAGE: BOOK 1-
“As I fall asleep, all I can think of is a four-letter word: Rage.”
This was my first time reading anything by Linda Burson, and I don’t generally pick up many novels in these genres either, but was wanting to switch it up a bit and the synopsis grabbed my attention from the get go. I was really intrigued by the fact that this was looking to lean more towards an alpha female lead rather than focusing on an alpha male lead for a change. So, I jumped in with an open mind and was fully ready for some kick butt female lead story lines.
So, we meet the lovely and deeply aggravated Marcy. She is the owner of a bakery, Coffee, Tea, & Treats, engaged to Brad, and seems like life is going fairly well. Except it really isn’t. She has been plagued with these nightmares for quite some time now and it is affecting every person and aspect of her life.
“I haven’t been my sweet self for a while. I’m not trying to be difficult, but the nightmares I’ve been having are taking their toll on me.”
All that seems to be the norm in her life as far as feelings go anymore is rage.
“As I fall asleep, all I can think of is a four-letter word: Rage.”
Eventually it takes its final toll on her relationship with her fiancé and an ultimatum is given to her, she either gets help or he is gone.
“That’s it, damn it! I’m done! Do you hear me? I’m fed up with your craziness. I’m leaving. You need help and you need it now!”
This eventually leads her to a newfound love and friend, Liam. They embark on a journey together that will either heal them or tear them apart more. I will say that this isn’t necessarily a cliffhanger book, but there are unanswered questions and loose ends. It is book 1 in a series and you will definitely want book 2 after this one is done so that you can get the answers to some of those questions left hanging in the air after this one is done. The one reason that I did not give this five stars was because for me this book was in a lot of ways disjointed. It almost felt like two stories with an intermission of excessive information. I have a feeling that it will make all the more sense when reading the second book but it was a tad confusing in the sense that it was introduced in this novel rather than spread throughout the next few books. Otherwise I did enjoy it and will give the next one a go to see what comes next for Marcy and the rest of the characters.
CONFUSION: BOOK 2-
“Marcy, sometimes we can’t explain why the heart wants what it wants. It doesn’t mean it’s wrong; it just means we get confused…” This is the second installment in The Marcy series by Linda Burson and I was very much impressed with the flow and improvement with the storyline progression in this book. I liked the idea behind the series in book one and wanted it to go blossom in this one and it didn’t disappoint! “Marcy, sometimes we can’t explain why the heart wants what it wants. It doesn’t mean it’s wrong; it just means we get confused. You need to incorporate your mind; use your intelligence to logically figure out why you feel so connected to him. The heart will lead us astray, but our hearts combined with our reason helps us decipher what the right answer is for us.” This pretty much picks up where the precious book leaves off, with Marcy confused as to where she wants to settle her heart with, between Liam or Brad. She knows that she has ‘feelings’ for both of them but which one does she love? Luckily, she gets the opportunity to have time to figure this out with both of them, something that is not traditional in most relationships in the modern age, also made for a very interesting and captivating read. This also contained all the drama, suspense, mystery, and intrigue that balanced so well in the previous novel. It really takes the reader on a roller coaster of a ride. Marcy has quite the intense life both in the present and in her history and she is still uncovering a lot of details. I look forward to reading more about this in future installments in this series.

I love books that stay with you long after you finish that last page, and BOY ON HOLD was a one that was with me for a very long time so my excitement for BOY RELEASED, the second book in this gripping series was palpable. I cleared an afternoon and was thrilled when the thunder was loud the morning of that day as it really set the tone for this book. It will evoke the feelings of dread, sadness, and fear as well as those feelings of family and hope, survival and love that really make you question and think on your values and belief systems that you have. Who doesn’t love a novel that does that as it takes you away to a fictional place as well? In this one we do find ourselves revisiting the same family from BOY ON HOLD, the Trout family, ten years after the tragedy that plagued them then. A new disaster is on the horizon and will send the family through a whole new set of debacles. I couldn’t put this sucker down and read it all in one sitting wishing for more right then. I can only hope we will see more from this author along the same lines in the near future!

This is really one of those books that you think you know what you are getting into when you pick it up and then the author surprises you and you get something even better. In HER DARK LOVE we get the back story of Isra and how she came to be all about the dark heart she has now in the books we previously read in the Dark Spell series, formerly known as Her Blackened Heart. I would personally recommend that you read these books in order and before you read this one in order to really enjoy and understand things as they are intended to be enjoyed and understood. This has something for everyone who loves magic, paranormal, and fantasy. I like how vivid Ms. Sravenheart writes her novels and I am sure that you will as well as you dive into the world she has created here. I cannot wait to see what we will get next!

This book is one of my top ten favorite reads of 2021! I found myself going through just about every single emotion that one could while reading it and it was beyond refreshing! I was just blown away with how well this book was written and done. I will say the enemies to lovers, friends etc thing is normally not my cup of tea because it is a trope I have just outplayed myself on. I read it so much growing up that I felt as if I had read it all and none of them were that good anymore. This one however really took the cake and just played all the cards so right that I was sucked in and completely fell in love with it all over again. I can’t say enough good things about this book, but I won’t divulge any goods either and spoil it so I will keep this review brief with them and tell you to run and buy the whole series. All of them. This is book four of Renee Regents Love Grows Series and I have read them all so I wasn’t lost at all, and I wouldn’t imagine if you hadn’t read them all you would have issues but I would suggest reading them anyway because they are all good too! This one just happens to be my favorite. Dahlia and Levi will rip you apart, make you mad, like scream at your kindle and get weird looks from your family mad, and then they will slowly put you back together again and make you fall in love with love again. This was a fun find by a new author that I really enjoyed reading. I hadn’t had the pleasure of reading Trish Williford before when I saw the teasers for Repair and knew I needed to see what the book was all about beyond the tease. I am so happy with my experience and time spent with Tank and Charlie that I will for sure be back for more of Ms. Williford’s books soon! This was one of those reads that instantly draws you into the book and makes you fall in love with the characters so fast that you have to know if they will get that happily ever after that you find yourself screaming and rooting for them so hard the whole time you are reading. I really loved how they seem so real and jumped off my kindle as I read too. I wanted to hug them so many times, making them that much more relatable and real. I am also excited that this is the first of a series, The Rescue Me series, so it looks like I will have a new one to follow in the near future. I cant wait to see what will come next!

AJ Renee has really brought this wonderful world to life with vivid imagery that makes the reading experience so much fun that I just want to jump into my book Mary Poppins style while reading these Broderick Coven books. Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the series and they just keep getting better and better. I really enjoyed Vanessa and Carters story and revisiting a few other characters that I had seen in other books as well as some new supporting ones. If you love magic and mystery with adventure and details that make you feel immersed in the world you are reading, these are the books for you and you will want to one-click them all today! I can’t wait to see what we will get in the next book!

I really enjoyed this book and start to what looks to be a promising new series from ND Jackson. Bared. is a wonderful little romance with a sweet group of friends that will make you want to call your besties right now and book a spa day or a sleepover. I know I did! I found myself crying and laughing several times and I love when a book can really pull the emotions from you as you read which is something that ND Jackson is wonderful at in all of her novels. This book is definitely one that will keep you up late or away from the house chores so plan to block out some time as you get sucked into the world of Tru and the Green St Girls. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!

I get so incredibly excited when I see a new Madeline Dawkins mystery is coming from Cynthia Hamilton and this one was no exception! Houses of Deception is the sixth book in The Madeline Dawkins Series and as much as I say this every time, it is my absolute favorite yet! I have just completely fallen in love with this series and the characters that have become like family as I have followed them through each and every mystery they have tackled as well. I personally would say you will want to start at the beginning and get to know the characters and understand the way the team works with the first book and go from there if you have not yet. I am sure you could read them as standalones if you so chose though. The attention to detail and world building that Ms. Hamilton puts into her writing is phenomenal and really makes the reading experience a breeze. I won’t give away much more than the blurb about the mystery that Madeline finds herself in the middle of in this read but I can assure you it is one you do not want to miss! I can’t wait to see what we will get next from the super talented Ms. Hamilton!

India Kells has once again won over my heart with her suspenseful and oh so beautiful dark romance with Dark Bastard, the fifth book in the Dark Sparrow novels. I would personally recommend that you start at the beginning to fully love and enjoy all these books for what they really are, but they could be read as standalones if that is more your jam. These books take you away and make you feel as if you are on a dark adventure of sorts and each one just gets better and better, not an easy task to accomplish for sure with these books as they are all phenomenal. With Dark Bastard we get the story of Sam and Ellie and what a smashing power couple they are! These two will quickly steal your heart and make you want to fall in love all over again. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment either!

Okay I have to admit I was a tad hesitant but curious with this one. I haven’t read Jen Luerssen prior to this but the cheesy cover and steamy blurbs and teasers drew me in. I snagged this to read by the pool on a getaway and it could not have been a better choice! I loved this book! It had me laughing out loud several times and needing a dip in the pool to cool off more than a few too! The characters were engaging and a lovely pair that played well off of each other and had the best chemistry. I found them to be very believable and was just all around consumed by this whole book. I was only sad when it came to an end. I will be going to see what else is available to read by Ms. Luerssen very soon!

Jae Dawson once again brings the small town romance and the magic of the holidays to life in Snowflakes and Holly. I was excited to read this sweet read even though it is the middle of July and hot as sin out. I needed an escape from the sweat and miserable heat that plagues the midwest I live in and some equally sappy love that could mirror mine as I plan a small wedding for myself. This book could not have been more perfect for that. I meant to split it up over a few evenings as an escape before bed and I just couldn’t. It was so good that I devoured it before bed one evening and just adored it so much. I loved the way it flowed so well that I felt as if I jumped right into Hartwood and was right there with Holly and Blake. I cannot wait to see what we will get next form the talented Ms. Dawson!
I really have loved following this series from Naomi Valkyrie and was super excited to see we would be getting another one with a F/F centered romance spin. I have really appreciated the way she tackles writing her romances and the same sex ones at that with a classy and intriguing way that keeps me coming back time and again for more. I was super ready to see what we would get with A Cold Day In Hell, and it did not disappoint! Hadassah is a character that you cannot help but fall in love with and want to cheer on throughout the novel. I was even more here for Jezebel. I think you will want to read these novels in the order that the author has written them for you to fully enjoy them. As I have read these I have really grown to love each of these characters and realize this is a family that Valkyrie is creating and introducing us to little by little. I cannot wait to see what we will get next from her!

Oh my gosh this book needs to be a movie or even better a series. This book just evokes that wide range of emotions that you want to feel as you read those small town summer romances. I was instantly swept away with Jody’s story and her complete transformation in The Heart of Baker’s Bay. This is one of those books that will take you to the beach and make you fall in love all over again. I have always loved Danielle Jacks novels but this one has quickly become one of my absolute favorites and I am so excited to own this baby on my bookshelf to devour over and over again in the future. You won’t want to miss this one if you love books with love, small towns, growth, a lot of push and pull, and moments that will make you completely swoon. I cannot wait to see what we will get next from the mind of Ms. Jacks!

This book was a blast to read. I instantly fell in love with the characters and was invested until that final word. I had to know how these two would end up and I know I will be back for more Parker Lake novels in the future. In fact I am so excited this is the first book in the series. I love when you get a great first book and excited for that next read built up so fast. I can’t wait! This book will make you want to cry, rip your hair out, and fall in love all over again, all in one fell swoop and that is a hard feat in one neat and well edited package. Olivia Sherwood does a wonderful job of delivering that with her novels! I felt like I could relate a lot to Annabelle in some ways and that just had me even more invested. This is one book you don’t want to miss out on!

Ugh I could not wait to get my hands on this book and now I am dying for the next one. That is the only negative I could possibly think of with this thriller with a twist of romance to keep the heartstrings bleeding… It ends fast. At least for me it did, as I was quickly sucked into this thrill ride and read well into the night to find out how this book would come to a close. I knew this would be a mind bender after reading the first in the Remember My Name series from Laurencia Hoffman, but man I have to say there were definitely some twists I did not anticipate to see when I saw the premise and teasers for this book. I was so happy with how well this book represented the MM genre as well, something I think Hoffman does a great job with in her novels. You can tell where her passions lay and I love it. I cannot wait to see what the next novel will hold!

Manda Mellett really took my heart out and put it in a blender with this one. I have really loved and come to grow close to the Satan’s Devils characters that she has created, having read most of them and loved just about every single one of them. This book came with a warning and I would personally take that with caution if you tend to find them useful when choosing your novels. This one was a bit triggering for me and I typically don’t have issues with books being difficult but the way that Ms. Mellett writes her characters become so very real that I think it is almost impossible to not feel the way that they do with some ounce of that rawness and so I can see where that would be a tad real for a person. At least it was for myself. This book is deep and thought provoking. I won’t touch on the actual story or details because really that would ruin it, at least not much more than what is already given beyond the synopsis. This is one that you do not want to miss though I can promise you that. Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will leave you hungry for that part two soon to come this summer as well. I know I am waiting very excitedly!!

These are not your average mermaid or fantasy books. I always feel like I have to say that with Natalina Reis books, because hers really do stand out among the crowd and seem to have a sparkle that just pulls the reader in and keeps them hooked until that last page with baited breath. I loved these novels and this being the last one had me sad before even started but also very excited because I could not wait to dive right into the story of Nael and Aiden and the rest of the magical cast of characters that I have grown to love in the Magic & Scales series. This book does not disappoint and brings the magic and suspense with the special twist I did not see coming. I couldn’t put it down and found myself reading well into the night and past my bedtime. I needed to see how things would come to a close for everyone and I was so pleased with how Ms. Reis chose to handle the ending. I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us readers in the near future!

I really loved this witchy read from Denise D. Young! Tangled Roots is the first book in the Witches of Willow Creek: Tangled Magic Series, and it is a great kick off. I loved Cassie and Nick, and the supporting characters as well. This is full of magic and adventure that keeps the story flowing so that you never find yourself bored. In fact I read this one in one short sitting because I had to know how it would end before I put it down. I was impressed that the time jump part did not get confusing because I often find those to be a tad confusing in paranormal or sci fi books so that made me even more happy. I am excited to see how this series will unfold and progress!

WOW! This book was so gripping! I have never read anything by Sirena Van Schaik before but after seeing the cover and blurb I just had to dive in and see what this story was all about. I am so glad that I did because this book brought the thriller ride and the twists and turns that had me going woah the whole time I read. This is told from the murderer’s point of view and it is one that we don’t often get to really dissect quite in the way that Sirena Van Schaik does. I will for sure be going back to see what else is available and what will be coming from her in the future. This is the kind of book you get mad when it is over so I may be re-reading this one sooner rather than later #NOTSORRY.

I swear Jessica Aiken Hall just gets better and better with every book, and I swear that has to be a harder and harder feat to do each time. Her books are one heck of a ride every time. They are massively full of twists and turns with thought provoking mysteries that will make you lay awake at night wondering if you have the whole story straight in your head only to read the next day and find out you in fact did not. That is by far the best kind of dark and twisty thriller novel that you want to read. House in the Woods is her latest and does not deviate from this norm. It is her best to date in my opinion and I will be re-reading here very soon just because I am sure I missed something and will once again enjoy the crazy ride it will take me on. I found this one to me more emotive than some of her other thriller novels and it really tugged at the heartstrings at times. I enjoyed that layer and it made it more personable to me. I can’t say enough good things about this book and wish I could rate it more than five stars. I feel like it would make a wonderful mini-series for television too! I can’t wait to see what else we will get from the mind of Ms. Jessica Aiken-Hall!

This book was quite an interesting read. I will say you have to go into it with an open mind. I have read a lot of Greta Cribbs before so I wasn’t worried because I have previously enjoyed her other works. I must say this book will make you bend your mind a little bit and think outside the box as you read. I happen to think this is quite the accomplishment for an author to do and is a great thing. I thought about this book long after I finished it and what I might want to say in this review and I am not going to bore you with details that are already said in the blurb or other reviews but rather I will tell you this is one that you will want to read if you like books that will make you think. Books that make you wonder how you live your own life and how you question your own reality and the way you make your choices. I think that this is the perfect book for you to pick up then. I am looking forward to seeing what else we may get in the near future from Ms. Cribbs.

OMG! First of all, I must preface this by saying that I am a sucker for reverse harem novels, so I may be biased but this book rocked! However, Hazel Storm really did a great job writing this novel in a classy way. Some reverse harem novels can be a bit much even for me. So bonus points for sure. I really loved the concept as well and really enjoyed all the characters and the time that went into building them. I was invested in them right away and I cannot wait to come back and read about them more in the coming books. I hope we will get more of them soon! This one really set us up on the men and Vanessa, it’s told from several points of view and is well layered so that there is no confusion at all. I definitely have favorites so far but I am keeping them reserved until I have more novels and stories to make my final choices lol. This is one you don’t want to miss if you love reverse harems and romances with heat!

This was my first time reading Samantha Adair and The Tom Grant Series so I knew I was probably going to be doing myself dirty a bit with jumping into a series midway through but I was intrigued and wanted to see what this was all about. I am glad that I did and look forward to seeing what the rest of the series now has in store for me. I really enjoyed the action and adventure that kept me on the edge of my seat while I picked apart the thriller and suspense mystery that was at the base of it all as I read. I was lost at times but I expected that and knew I would be doing it to myself and now know that I have a few new books to go back and enjoy. I also look forward to seeing what else we will be getting in this series in the near future. I really loved how loud the voice of the lead female character was in this novel. I feel like we could use more of these kind of women and just wanted to give a shout out to the author for that one.

So LA Detwiler is a new author to me but I can assure you this will not be my last experience reading anything by the talented Ms. Detwiler again! When I saw the book cover for The Arsonist’s Handbook I was sold, but that blurb drew me in even more and it quickly soared to the top of my TBR list. I immediately dove right in and was hooked in so fast I read this book in one sitting well into the evening and found myself wrapping this up at four am.. Oops lol, NOT SORRY! I had to know how this book would end, I could not sleep until I did, it was that gripping. It beyond lived up to its name of a ‘gripping psychological thriller’ and I even found that it haunted my dreams and thoughts the next day. I won’t be giving you the details of the characters and story because really that would ruin it and you need to dive in and learn those for yourself, but this is one that you do not want to miss if you love dark and twisty books with a a crime thriller background storyline. I will be going to see what else is available and stalking the new releases of Detwiler to come now. I hope we get more of the same kind soon! Such a fab more than five star read!
This was quite the interesting read and escape from my typical normal pick up. I like books that make me think regardless of the storyline or ideas behind them and that is normally what will draw me to them, so that is was drew me into Travels Through Aqua, Green, and Blue: A Memoir by Mary E. Gregory. This is written very much like a journal or diary and gives us a glimpse into the mind of Mary E Gregory and her struggles as she traverses life and travel. I loved the way she kept things raw and real and didn’t attempt to sugarcoat anything. I was invested from the very beginning and was never really bored with the story, which is always a concern when you pick up a memoir. I would be highly interested in seeing what else we may get in the future from Ms. Gregory.

Something about this dark and ominous cover drew me in right away and I just had to know what the story was behind it. I am so glad I one-clicked and dove right in. I was immediately sucked into this dark and twisty crime thriller that took me on a ride that kept me up well into the night as I read further and further to know how this story would come to a conclusion. The best part of this book ending, and the only good part lol, is that it is the first in a new series from R Weir so we are bound to be getting a lot more of this dark crime thriller read and detective story line and I cannot wait! This introduces us to Hunter Divine, a former US Marshall with a whole lot of issues and a dark past that gives him all the reasons for the issues. He has the past revisit him when an ex calls on him for help. This is only the beginning of the drama and suspense. I won’t divulge more details because that would only spoil the fun but take my word for it, you won’t want to miss this one!

I love Amy McKinley and all of her novels and series, but this latest one Moonlit Kiss of the Moonlit Destination Series has really become a fast top favorite, like probably my all time favorite number one read of hers. This one was so very vivid and I felt from page one as if I was right there with the characters walking in their shoes and along for the adventure. I really was on the streets of Venice and the added suspense and spins of intrigue that were layered in the romance of this read was beyond stellar. I could not put this book down. I read until three am so that I could see how Gianna and Serigio’s story would come to a close. I just had to know there was no way any rest would be had until I did. This is one you don’t want to miss and can be enjoyed as a standalone read, but I would recommend the entire series!
