Chasing Starlight: Cassandra’s Story (The Daughters of Night Chronicles) by Matilda Reyes & Jennifer Siddoway

4-Stars

Chasing Starlight: Cassandra’s Story was a sweet, romantic, and adventurous read. Cassandra recently moved home to begin working as a teacher when she runs into her old flame Michael. Things are going well but she is being hunted during her other task she is bound to. She is to travel to peoples dreams every night to collect a special dust. While there her fellow dream weavers are disappearing. Given an ultimatum by her father, can she fight against the odds to keep her true love and stop who ever is causing the disappearances?

This book was a quick and easy read. It was organized well and had an easy flow. I loved the characters and their different abilities and even those that didn’t have them. I thought Michael’s ability was awesome and I would love to be able to have it. I also loved how the authors ended this novel. I was not expecting that. Great read!

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story By Brienne Dubh was a steamy short read. I finished this book in one sitting. It was addictive. Christian Hunt and Gabby King were enemies. They hated each other but put up with each other for Gabby’s best friend, Christian’s sister, Amy. After a run in with Gabby’s ex, and several drinks, something occurs that brings the two into a steamy set of events. The two can’t get enough of each other.

The storyline was fast paced and easy to read. I laughed several times while reading. I also loved the steamy scenes. This book was an excellent read that left me smiling at the end. I highly recommend it.

Moonlit Mirage: A Cook Islands Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley

5-Stars

Moonlit Mirage: A Cook Islands Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley was an excellent novella. I finished this book in one sitting. Case was Nadia’s mark. She was supposed to kill him but saved him instead. Disappearing, their paths cross again years later. There is a strange connection neither can explain.

I loved Cade and Nadia. They were amazing. Nadia was so lethal. Having read many of the Gray Ghost books I understood the type of training she went through to become who she was. Cade was a hunk. I liked that he took care of himself and branched off on his own after the night of the crash. This story was excellently written with a good plot and climax. McKinley did an awesome job with characters and scenery. I highly recommend this book.

Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin was an interesting and fascinating read. The author transports readers to another world. It was fascinating to me to read how the world was divided and the different types of governments that existed to rule. The Nation sounded like a cruel and terrifying place to live. I was shocked with the horrors Micah and Neve were forced to face before escaping. The story begins with them at a refugee camp trying to attain citizenship ship in the New Republic. This was definitely a book I don’t usually read and I enjoyed it.

Naomi (Maggie Trilogy Book 2) by Mya O’Malley was an amazing addition to. The series. I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. The storyline builds off of what happened in the first book. Naomi is faced with the appearance of another ghost but this time it has a more personal connection. Can she stop its torment before she jeopardizes her relationship with Bryce and put the spirit to rest?

I absolutely loved this second book. I loved the characters and their development. I loved how O’Malley carried the story over and put a lot of focus on Naomi and Bryce. Bringing Genna into the picture really gave more trouble to the mix and I liked it. It really brought to the forefront how much love both Bryce and Holly had for Naomi. This was such a wonderful read. I can’t wait for the next book. I highly recommend it.
