5-Stars

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3) by Phoebe Alexander was an exciting romantic read. It was steamy and invigorating. At times it was intense and others comical. Neve and Enya were magnificent characters and realistic. I loved how they were total opposites but found a way to work together. It was an excellent story following them. I felt that they really helped the storyline move along. The story seemed edited well and was easy to follow. It can be read as a standalone but I definitely recommend reading the first two books in the series. This novel was a wonderful addition. Main character Enya as now at a tie with Jolie in my heart as my favorite character. I can’t wait for what comes next!

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C. A. King

5-Stars

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C. A. King was an excellent addition to the series. It can be read as a standalone and provides enough detail for readers who have not read the first two books to prevent confusion. As seen with the other two novels, the author begins the book with a brief history of what led to the current issue with the keys from past events. This book focuses on Uriel, Veronica, and Bekka and their role in the main story searching for the keys. Uriel is portrayed as a hunky red headed cowboy while Veronica and Bekka look very similar to each other. Only one of them is the key though. This story was fascinating and very different from the first to books. I loved the change and enjoyed that the story still easily flowed from page one to the end. The characters were also easy to relate to and at times frustrating. This story carried me away and I read it in one sitting. I highly recommend this book and the series and can’t wait to see what the next book has in store.
