This story is the fourth book in the Chase Security Series. I highly recommend reading this from the first book in the series, but seriously you will enjoy the entire series. R.L. Dunn’s creative descriptive language is off the charts. I could see the scene in my mind’s eye. The characters are fully developed and have very unique qualities. When getting ready to read this book I highly recommend getting settled in because you may just read the entire book. Zak is the head guy in the domestic division in Chase Security. During his last assignment he lost one of his unit female operatives (who just happen to be one of the submissives). He has vowed never to have relations with an operative again. Wait until Saoirse enters the office will he be able to keep his word to himself about relations with those he works at. What is in store for Chase Security? With Zak? I highly recommend this story. It is a great read.

Twisted Throttle by Amanda Mellet is book three of the Satan’s Devils MC Next Generation series. This can be read as a standalone but honestly, why would you want to miss out on the rest of this series?
Throttle gets around quite a bit. His parents think maybe it’s time to settle down but Throttle can’t even imagine that right now. That is until Gwen though. Throttle never imagine his one night stands coming back to bite him especially since he’s up front with them but once Gwen is in the picture that’s exactly what happens. While keeping Gwen safe, Throttle and Gwen grow closer.
This book takes some twists you weren’t expecting. Just as with other books in tbis series and the related series, I was not disappointed. It was such a good read!

This book was simply amazing! It makes me miss being a teenager and a teenager in love but the thrill for me, personally, as a reader it was also the thrill that the action surrounding the characters and making them fight for their lives brought them closer together. What makes it realistic for me is the tug of war between the two characters and the development (or lack thereof) in their relationship. The back and forth between them makes me thought-provoking, emotional, intense and sensual to say the least. Great read!

10 Days is a funny, contemporary romance by KJ Holliday. It was the first time that I had read any of this author’s work but I was pulled in by the blurb and decided to give it a try. What I got was a really great book that I enjoyed and would recommend to others. Alexander is looking for material from his second novel so his best friends Luke and Penny drag him away for 10 days living with nature. Could he think of anything worse? Nope, but he was willing to give it a try. I loved the dynamic between the 3 friends. Luke and Penny have been friends since childhood with Alexander added to the group 7 years previously at college. What Alexander didn’t expect was to grow to love living outdoors and being at one with nature. What he really didn’t expect was that Penny who he’d had a crush on for years, felt the same about him. This made for some fun scenes as they tried to keep their growing relationship a secret from Luke. How hard can it be when the 3 of you are living in the one tent? Lol I really did enjoy this book and would definitely read more from this author in the future. The book had me hooked from the very beginning and kept me entertained throughout.

I’ve read the other two books and was in love, this one was fantastic. I can’t say enough about Melitta’s story. You really do need to read these in order, so if you haven’t go start book 1! This one focuses a lot on the walls and everyone around her, which rounds out the stories very well. I love each character, even the bad ones. They play a great role and are important for each little situation that helps the greater plot. Some of my favorite characters is Verity, and I can’t get into details but she’s boss lol. Please read these in order, if you don’t, you won’t understand everything you need to. It’s fantastic and elegantly written.

This was definitely a twisted ride from beginning to end! A ride that keeps you guessing. I thought I had it all figured out but that ending swooped in and surprised me. Throttle and Gwen clicked, and clicked fast. Truly a whirlwind romance amongst so much chaos, so many battles. Throttle was faced with his past, and a new future he was picturing, in the most intense way, and Gwen held on to him. I absolutely loved their story!

I’m a sucker for MC books. This one really touched me though, and I found myself blinking through tears more than once. Struggling with life is so relatable, and poor Eli was definitely struggling. I think a lot of people have a hard time being vulnerable and open with mental health, and I feel like it’s especially an issue amongst men. Feeling they need to be strong and resilient, unable or unwilling to communicate the hard inner dialogue. This story really encapsulated that. And I absolutely loved Liv and her continued fight through it all. Such a good read, I can’t wait to start the next Satan’s Devils story!

This is the first book in a series by a new author for me. The cover is what caught my eye and enticed me to pick up this book to read it. I love books related to pirates so just seeing the ship on the cover drew me in. And gosh did this book sail me on an ocean adventure. I found this to be a fast-paced story and was filled with quite a bit of action. I found that the family story felt familiar to me from the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” movie to some degree. Perhaps that was a reason that the story resonated with me so much and I enjoyed it. If you enjoy books related to pirates, ships, and finding lost treasure then you will find this book as enjoyable as I did.

I really liked this book! I felt so many emotions reading this book, it was funny, emotional, head shaking and romantic, how can you not love a novel that has all those things. I liked the perspective of Alex, the writer, describing his not so fondness for the outdoors in the beginning made it very funny when Penny and Luke teased him and make things sound absurd and he believed them every time. I kept wanting to read more and devoured the book in no time.

Mielitta is now the Queen of the Warrior bees after the battle for the Forest and she and her bees are settling to their new life with two of her friends as the other settles back into life in the Citadel, meanwhile the Council are reporting what happened to the rest of those living within it, while also spinning it in the light of their victory and the fact that those they paint as traitors are still alive, as well as the noble sacrifice of their Chief Mage, what they don’t say is how he died Mage-Smith Kermon is adjusting to life back within the Citadel and he is missing it and his friends greatly, but he spends his first few days back creating the system he needs to connect with them again and while he is completing this task, he learns about the old transition test from childhood to adulthood as he does this.
When Mage-Smith Kermon successfully contacts Mielitta, he is feeling a barrage of emotions and finds it hard to concentrate on the words being said, even though there isn’t much to report this first time, so when a messenger announces that his presence has been requested at a meeting, they cut off the call and he agrees to contact them again when he has more news. Life in the forest continues as they learn the ways of the Forest and its inhabitants, they decide what tasks they need to complete first with guidance from the bees and go out to forage and hunt before finding somewhere they will feel safe as a home base, that is until Mielitta is summoned by her bees to help the hive, but when she arrives, she realises that it is her that needs the helps and so she experiences life as a worker bee to help her to recover from the battle. As the Council meet to replenish their numbers and choose those to replace the ones they lost, they have to adhere to the blood made in the Forest with Mielitta, even though they don’t necessarily agree with it, so they elect people who they feel will fit with the demands, yet still bend to their will, as well as how to commemorate the Chief Mage’s father with an award for going into the walls and helping Perfection to continue with what they find. After that has all been decided, the Chief Mage announces that Mage-Smith Kermon will devise the new transition test and that to do this, he will be going into the walls and at the same time, be the first recipient of the newly created award.
As their lives continue and they all adjust to their new roles, Mage-Smith Kermon enters the wall, but as well as finding the information needed for the new test, he also discovers the more malevolent side to them and when he returns to complete his reports, both for the Council and for Mielitta, something has changed, even though he cannot put his finger on what it is. Will Mage-Smith Kermon be able to continue his double life and still keep his sanity and loyalty intact, or will the web of lies, subterfuge and this mysterious malevolence destroy everything that he, Mielitta and the rest of their group have worked for? This is another journey of secrets, discovery and balance, which propels you along as the revelations come in thick and fast.

I love this series and was really excited to read this newest instalment and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The author has definitely taken this series to another level with this new book – it was exciting, dangerous and so much more. She knows how to keep the reader’s attention mot just throughout her stories but throughout the series as a whole. The action started pretty, much straight away when Samaar and Alice arrive in Istanbul, I loved that I didn’t see things coming in this story at all – fantastic twists and turns! Although there is more than one story going on in this book it wasn’t confusing at all. I would recommend reading this series in order- they are fantastic stories! I can’t wait for more from this author in the future!

Oh My Gosh! What a story this was and I am so, so excited for the next book now – I cannot wait! The writing for this novella was completely flawless- it’s impossible to tell (in my opinion) that it is written by two authors, their writing style complement each other perfectly. I’ve read books by both of these authors so I knew I would be in for a good read and whilst this might only be a novella it absolutely packs a punch – it’s definitely up there with my favourite reads of 2021! I loved the characters and I cannot wait to read more about them! Braelynn was an amazing female lead, such a wonderful strength about her even though she still had her vulnerabilities. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series – I cannot wait!!!

I was SO excited to see this book had been released. I have adored the Spicetopia series and I loved Ms Alexanders Easter shore Swingers Series so to see a crossover of characters absolutely made my day! This book was an amazing read, I loved everything about it. I think it may be my favourite from this series so far. I loved reading about Calvin and Paisley again; I loved them both as much as I did the first time I read their story. Paisley has such a great personality and added in her pregnancy hormones she was even better to read about. I loved the twists and turns the author took the story, definitely had me on the edge of my seat more than once especially seeing’s how much I love these two! I would recommend reading this series in order although they can be read as standalones. I can’t wait for more from Ms Alexander as always! She is definitely one of my favourite authors.

Another fantastic read from this author. It was full of action from beginning to end and it was as I expected from this author. She commands my attention from the very first page until the last. I love her characters they are always well written and great to read about. In this third instalment of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series we follow Malina and Tyler’s story. I loved both of these characters, Tyler was the kind of alpha male I love to read about and I adored Malina! She was strong and sassy! A fantastic heroine! I was with Tyler every step of the way as he tried to find Malina. I would recommend reading this series in order; all of the books have been amazing so far! I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this series!

10 Days was a really funny read – I enjoyed it a lot. One of the things I really liked about the story was the setting – I don’t think I’ve read a story that involved camping – it was really refreshing to read. All the characters were great to read about – I guess some parts were a little predictable but I don’t think that made me like the story any less. I loved the connection between Alex, Luke and Penny. Overall 10 Days was a really great read and one that I would highly recommend. I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

5 Stars Secure Her (The Chase Security Series Book 4) by R.L. Dunn
Secure Her is the fourth book in The Chase Security Series by R.L Dunn. I absolutely love this author and this series I want it to go on forever. Each time I finish o want the next one right now. I highly suggest reading this series in order even though it can be read as standalones. I was pulled in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. There are some parts that may be a trigger for some but if you can keep reading it really is a wonderful book. I don’t want to give anything away but I will highly recommend this book and again the whole series. I look forward to seeing what she will bring us next.

Sons of Sindicato is a dark romance between a lawyer and a high profile member of a crime family. It was written by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns. A fascinating literary combination. Murder, mystery and mayhem follow this pair from the beginning. This is not a long story, but it lacks nothing. It has intensity, attraction, distrust, prejudice, uncertainty and accusation. The main characters had this incredible and charismatic connection. By all accounts, their love was not meant to be. Loyalty was questioned. Self reflection was ever present. But while everything seemed against them, they made it work. Braelynn and Seth were a formidable couple that had a lot of hurdles to overcome before they could enjoy their happy ever after. A fantastic short story that was electric and alluring. 4 stars.

The Istanbul Heist by Lynda Filler is the eighth book in the Code Raven series. This is a great addition to the series and has really continued the story well. There is a lot going on in this book which creates a tension and suspense about it. I was never quite sure which way the story might play out. It feels like you go on quite an adventure with the characters as they try to navigate a difficult situation. It isn’t very often that you find a series like this that can sustain so many books but this author has done it so well. Eight books in and I am still excited to see what is going to happen next.

Forged by Secrets by Amy McKinley is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This author has yet again produced an amazing book with some brilliant characters right at the centre of it. Malina and Tyler have to be my favourite couple of this series so far. They are one those couples that just fit together in such an effortless way and are so exciting to read about. They have a true connection that adds a whole new level to the story. As with the other stories they are fast paced and action packed from beginning to end. This author really knows how to create a gripping story and just keeps the pages turning. This is another 5* read and I would highly suggest everyone reads this series.

The Ocean’s Light is the first book in Mina Chara’s new Blood of the Pirate series where fantasy meets folklore. Mina’s stories are always fun and full of adventure and if you like Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones or even the Library you are gonna love this new series. The action and adventure will have you thinking like and hearing yourself speaking in your mind like a pirate. Yeah, yeah, I know crazy town, hubby can verify that. Any who, it was easy to become lost and immersed in the story as it was so entertaining. The one thing that let it down was that there are some editing issues that stopped the natural flow. Besides that, I cannot wait for the next book.

Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander is another hot and spicey read to this fab series. Phoebe always delves into things people see as taboo or a little different when it comes to sex, but she does it so well and I say live a little and delve in. I am sure some readers will live vicariously through this author. Spicetopia is the place to try new things. It is a place to give pleasure and increase your sexuality and sensuality. It was also great to see some old friends from another series Calvin and Paisley.

I’m thoroughly impressed with this book and especially this series. Forged By Secrets is the third book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series by Amy McKinley. In this book, we meet Malina Johansson who is an analyst for the Navy Seals. Tyler is her high school crush and in one night in Vegas with a whole lot of liquor things definitely changed. However, once they are back home, she becomes guarded and then she gets accused of Treason. Because of this, Tyler comes to her rescue to help fight her current demons and he will not stop until she is proven innocent. Not to mention if either one has a shot at happiness. This book was excellent and something I couldn’t put down. It was definitely a page turner! This is the third book in the series and like I always say…start the series from the beginning. However, you can read this book as a standalone. This author always makes her books easy to read and knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely love this book and this series! You will not be disappointed! I can’t wait for the next book from this author!

Ten years ago, my world was shattered. One night changed my life forever by a sadist who took everything from me, just because he could. And while he did this, a green-eyed stranger watched and did nothing…or so I thought.
When my past and present collide, I am swept away by all the memories, horrors, and dreams of my past.
I want revenge.
And finally, after all the years of pain and sacrifices I’ve had to make, an opportunity presents itself. Within a 24 hour period, my tormenter and my green-eyed watcher enter my life once again.
Seeing this as my chance, I begin to make use of my blue journal, detailing my plans for revenge, taking matters into my own hands. Will I have what it takes to ignore what is right and wrong? To bring myself to make the men still alive pay for what they took from me? And how do I forgive the man I hold partially responsible when he’s the one supplying me with the means to get what I want?
With only a small window of time available, I have to be ready to take back my life, consequences be damned.
Because of my anguished past, my present will always be filled with vengeance.

Four stars
When it comes to writing what most deem controversial Phoebe Alexander excels at it. I enjoyed this story a lot. Calvin and Paisley her celebrating marriage and a baby. What better way to than an adult only resort! I really liked Paisley’s personality. She was so happy and spunky through most of the book. I loved that she could be who she truly was with her husband. That she was comfortable with their openness. But is it too smooth? Is Calvin taking to the life too well? I would definitely be questioning my man if he was just okay to it and took too it fast without some type of reserve. I overall enjoyed this story and wish the couple many happy years and more babies.

I give Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander, 5 stars.
If you have been following the Eastern Shore Swingers series by this author, you will recognize Calvin and Paisley. The story of how they first met is very good and I highly recommend it, but this book can easily be read without it. It is a story that works great as a standalone, and takes place after they have been married a few years.
This is the first time I remember the author revisiting the same couple from a previous book. I wasn’t sure how I would like it, but I did appreciate that it was yet again a different angle from one we have seen before. I don’t know why I worried, this author continuously amazes my by her precise and imaginative writing. As usual, I was pulled in from the very beginning and it just kept getting better and better. Being set in an adult amusement park, there is of course plenty of heat in his book but it is so, so much more. There are angles going on the the characters are not aware of. There is suspense and tension, both in the story and in their relationship.
Overall, this is a wonderful modern romance book with lots of heat but also a story that takes you for a roller coaster ride. I could not put it down and highly recommend it. As previously stated, it can be read by itself, but I also recommend the rest of this series as well as the Eastern Shore Singers series.

Granted: Curse of the Emerald Jinn by Rachel Huffmire was a really good read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel, and it was a tale unlike any I’ve read before. I won’t lie though. It took me several chapters before I fully became enthralled in this novel. I was pretty confused at the beginning, what with the colors and the random events that happened (not so random in the long scheme of things) and it felt like it wasn’t really explained well. But it did all get explained later. I enjoyed this novel a lot more than I expected to, which was pretty surprising considering I didn’t like it very much at the beginning. This was a very interesting read and I can’t wait to read more from the author in the future!

Ty had a crush on Malina in high school but never acted on it because he knew his future was in the service. Malina had a crush on him too…so imagine her surprise when she finds herself working with him on a current project for the SEALs. That crush is still there, but she won’t act on it because she knows Ty is not the settling down with one woman type. However, one night in Vegas (with some alcohol involved) changed that.
Once she returns home, she is determined to keep her mind off of Ty. However, when she is accused of Treason, Ty is the person she turns to for help. Ty is determined to do whatever he can to keep her safe. However, when both of them open up about the truth of what really happened in Vegas…will Ty still want to help Malina clear her name?
I have enjoyed this series since the first book. It is one of those books that keeps you up all night to finish because you have to know what happens. It is action packed and there are twists that you didn’t necessarily see coming. Overall, a good book!

I love this series….and I love it even more after reading Throttle’s story.
Throttle is the enforced for Satan’s Devils MC…and a manwhore. He knows it…the club knows it…even his parents know it. But, he is young and definitely not looking to settle down. To be fair, the women that he hooks up with know the score. He’s a one-time thing with no return performances. When a one-night stand keeps showing up and telling him how great they will be together, he needs to find a way to make her see the truth.
Gwen is back in town after graduating from college and working at a local bar when she sees a face from her past…Noah. Noah (or Throttle as his club calls him) has grown up and is still as hot as ever. Her teenage crush is still there, but she won’t act on it. However, when she is attacked at work (a bar owned by SD), Noah and the rest of the club are there to make sure she stays safe.
With attacks on Gwen and a stalker sending gifts to Noah….could they be related? And when the one-night stand shows up at the compound with news that could shake Throttle to core…all hell breaks loose. Gwen’s attacks become more violent and the club is determined to find out who is behind everything. Little do they know, the truth is even crazier than anyone could imagine.
Again, I have loved this series from the beginning. Manda Mellett has a way of pulling me into the SD world and I enjoy every second of it. This book was no exception. I loved Noah and Gwen’s story. To watch Gwen take control of her life and stand her ground was amazing! Hope to see more of them in future books!

Forged by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Book 3) by Amy McKinley is a story full of adventure and suspense. It even has more than a dash of romance. It makes the story that much more enticing.
Malina Johansson is a Navy SEAL analyst who works with Tyler, her high school crush. All it takes is one night of drinking in Vegas for her to let down her guard and fall into his arms. She avoids office contacts with Tyler at home, where her walls are firmly in place to shield her spirit. Before she is charged with treason. Now that she’s on the run, she turns to Tyler, the man she knows will keep her safe but who she swears she’ll never trust again. Navy SEAL Tyler Hale returns to Pearl Harbor after a rescue and recovery operation, only to discover that the woman he’s never been able to get out of his system is in danger. He’ll go to whatever length to clear Malina’s name and hold her by his side now that she’s been accused of a crime and gone missing. But no one is innocent, and if he wants a future with the woman of his dreams, he needs to be honest with himself. Ty drops a bomb from their night in Vegas in a world where secrets are the currency, but Malina has one as well.
This is the third book of the series, and it just as good as the two other books. I enjoyed every bit of this story. I loved every page of this book.
