I loved their story. Trey and Hailey’s story had such depth to it and such emotion. Trey fights hard to not fall for Hailey due to how hard the loss of his first love broke him. However Hailey is no stranger, and when he becomes involved striking a deal with her it turns the pages quickly. Hailey has always had a crush on Trey and now together under 1 roof it opens both their eyes to the love they could share. Book 6 brings more of the drama, action, angst, spice, and love with our favorite mafia family’s and its not something to be missed.

This book will grab you from the beginning. The unique characters and world building is unlike any book I’ve read before. It’s fast paced and fun. Angelina, is living a quiet, virgin existence until the she finally meets the two men she’s been fantasizing about. Not only is she fantasizing about them in her dreams she is painting them during the day too. These two men are brothers that are called, “hybrids,” they are part angel and part vampire and they’ve been waiting to find Angelina for a long time. Try something new and go on this sexy ride filled with demon butt kicking! You will enjoy it!

This book had me hooked from the start. I enjoyed the action filled story. The tension between the brothers and Angelina was crackling! The theme was a little darker than I expected, but liked it nonetheless. A good fantasy read.

I can never get enough of this series or the power this wonderful author brings to life in their writing as I read and fall in love with these characters. The book was great ride from start to finish. I very much enjoyed this one as the rest. If anything, this one has become my favorite in the series for sure!
The writing was amazing and the build up for Karen and her story was just perfect in every which way. I swooned, laugh, and even wanted to cry at moments. All in all, the book brought on emptions that were welcome, and as always this series touches my heart in the most purest way. The romance was beautiful and breathtaking. I really loved Karen as a written character. It was fun getting to know her during my visit to Parker Lake this time haha. Loved this book from start to finish with all my heart and soul!
Wonderful book, amazing author, and a must read series for sure! All of these go hand in hand and make something wonderful spring to life! Highly recommends this book, its defiantly a must read!

Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse is the first book in the Forerunner Saga series by Jay Veloso Batista. This is epic fantasy done well- with action, adventure, ghosts, Norse mythology, Vikings, curses, history, the supernatural, agendas, danger, paranormal elements, drama, challenges, mystery, fight scenes, detailed and descriptive storytelling, creative worldbuilding, and is told from multiple POV’s (which gives a great perspective of what is happening). I came into this series a little backwards, having started on book three by accident, which proved to be a bit of a challenge for me. But I really was intrigued by the premise and after discovering that I was reading the third book, I went back to the beginning to read the first two books just to see if they would help me better appreciate the story. And I am glad that I did, as I did enjoy the story more, and felt that it helped ground me in the series better. There were still a lot of characters remember, and some interesting, if not difficult to pronounce names- but I didn’t have as much of an issue with it this time around. As with the rest of the series, it is apparent that the author is very passionate about the subject matter and his story-telling- it’s evident that he put a lot of blood, sweat, heart, soul, and research into his work- which resulted in the rich, vibrant, and dynamic tale. As with the other books in this series, it is a slightly quirky tale that proved to be fun and engaging- feeding both the imagination, as well providing a few lessons along the way. This was a short cute read. I liked the diversity in the characters. The story follows a boy celebrating his “un-birthday” and the mysterious presents his family leaves him. I haven’t read the other books, but it made me curious to know more about the un-birthday thing. I would read this with my niece’s and nephew’s. All in all its got a bit of whimsy to it.

Wow! That’s all I can say about this book: fantastic world-building, well-written plot, and great characters. While there are a lot of characters it is not difficult to keep track. The plot has a lot of relevance to our real world and it’s easy to see where the author drew references. I absolutely adored the Byrne family. They were a soothing balm for every character; especially little Fiona. I was amazed at how Ms. Dillon pulled off such an intricate yet easy-to-understand plot. I found myself to be very unwilling to put this book down. I can’t wait to read book 2 for a continuation of the cliffhanger that we were left on.

Levi is known for being a playboy who no woman has been able to resist. A series of events forces him to have to finally grow up and he ends up working with Kindle. She’s his supervisor and the one woman that seems immune to his charms. Their chemistry is undeniable but he is going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to change her mind about him. This was such a great book! Levi changes so much throughout the story, he really matures and becomes a much better person. I was pulled in from the very first page and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. If you’re a romance fan, this is one book you’re definitely not going to want to miss!

This was a great 5 star read. Levi (Squid) is quite the player, after he got his heart broken he has no plans to commit. He picks up women at the bars, has his time with them and leaves. After one encounter he finds that those choices can come back to bite you. He also gets some news from his father, he has been cut off. He is a very smart man and is now being told he has to work, no more playboying around. Levi has had several encounters with a woman he can’t get out of his mind, fate steps in and he sees her again. Kindle has been very adamant about keeping him at arm’s length, will she be able to continue to resist him?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I liked seeing all the characters from the previous books and had some LOL moments. I was pulled in right from the beginning with all that was going on and didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed Levi and Kindles story. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading the other books in the Moto X series, all of the characters are great. 1-click and get started today.

This romantic suspense novel was a real page turner and I was hooked from page one. Selena Hernandez discovers that she was brought to the United States illegally as a child, and in order to become a legal immigrant, she must return to Mexico, a country she does not know. Selena meets Wyatt Demko, an embassy employee whilst at the US Embassy asking for help with a visa. Wyatt is happy to help Selena, but the more they discover about her past which includes connections to a notorious and dangerous drug cartel, Wyatt’s own carefully planned life is upended. Having escaped a hard upbringing in a Wisconsin trailer park, Wyatt has worked hard for his stable career with the State Department. However, he also wants to keep Selena safe, and maybe win her heart at the same time. As Selena fights to be allowed to return home to the US, her complicated situation becomes an international affair, whilst she’s stuck in a unknown land. Wyatt and Selena only have a few days to attempt the impossible, including hiding from the brutal drug cartel and the corrupt law enforcement, to make a daring getaway. This novel kept me gripped from start to finish with its fast paced and action packed storyline, and plot twists that kept me guessing. The characters were likeable and relatable and I felt engaged with them, and the settings from the streets of Mexico City to the sandy beaches of the Yucatan Peninsula were brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative. The chemistry between Selena and Wyatt really came across in the writing and I liked how their relationship developed. This was an enjoyable and exciting read, full of drama, suspense, and plenty of romance.

I was so excited to get Heart’s story! After what he had been through in previous books, I was rooting for him from the very start. The book starts right where the one before left off, and Heart has basically been sent to roam on his own after some serious mis-steps on his part. Marc becomes his unlikely friend and the rest of the book is a whirlwind of grief, tragedy, violence, and learning to love. Top all that off with a brotherhood that keeps me coming back for more after every book I read, and you have got a great novel! This author always manages to find a new way to tackle an MC love story, making each story familiar, yet brand new. I love the way the author deals with very real, serious and tragic backstories, and shows how each character overcomes them and is still able to find love and grow. Looking forward to the next, as usual! Take note that this book is number 5 in the series. I would say that they can be understood and followed separately, but there are backstories, and other connections that you would miss if you do not read them in order so I highly recommend starting with Turning Wheels.

Flame and Crystal Thorns is the first book in the Fae and Crystal Thorns series. This is an off-shoot series based on an earlier series by the author. I had not read that series but had no issues following and enjoying this book. The story is a young adult series but with a new type of hero. Chloe is not a warrior but a healer and does not live in her homeland of Faerie. She goes back against her will when her sister is in danger. I enjoyed the story and liked Chloe. She is intelligent and caring. I like that she isn’t your typical hero but still succeeds at helping others. I look forward to reading more from this series and seeing where Chloe’s story leads.

This book leaves on quite a cliffhanger…so I will be looking forward to the next book to see what happens. I enjoyed the characters and the action just never seems to stop. Chloe never gets a moment of peace…it seems as though she is always in danger (sometimes from herself). I was engaged with the story from beginning to end.

This book follows the story of Chloe, a strong headed and strong even stronger opinionated apothecary who quite literally runs herself ragged trying to place the needs of others before herself. As her mysterious background is revealed, the reader is shown that although she has direct relation to the fae, her thoughts and desires regarding Faerie are quite the opposite. Having quite literally vowed to never return, it is not until a mysterious illness begin sparking up in mortal realm that threatens more than just the people,that Her past comes barging in. Quite literally.
Que Quinton, a brooding fae male who is more mysterious and closed off than Chloe herself. The reader follows along as Chloe desperately grasps for a cure and finds herself back in the one place she never wish to be, doing something she never thought that she’d be doing. The witty banter, storyline, and overall flow of this book makes it very difficult for the reader to put it down. Having finished it in a day, and then being struck by a cliffhanger, it makes for a wicked anticipation lying in wait for the next installment of the series.
As a lover of both fantasy and the fae, this is an easy read that leans toward more traditional lore, and it is lovely seeing the side of apothecary as well and the strain that being a caretaker can have on an individual. Very well written indeed.

This was another fun fae read! The main character, Chloe, is a mortal and town apothecary and is asked to return to the faerie realm so that she can help save the fae who are being attacked by the mortals. She doesn’t want to leave all of the people that she helps, but since her sister became a fae and is living in the other realm she goes back to help save her. Quintus is the fae who comes to ask for help and there is tension from the moment he arrives. The relationship between Chloe and Quintus is interesting throughout the book and I want to know more about their past. I really liked the world building and the descriptions of the faerie realm. Chloe freezes when in danger and she has to work through many things to be able to help anyone. I didn’t know that this was a spinoff from another series so I will need to go back and read them. I felt like there was so much history about the sister and the backstory between Chloe and Quintus that I needed to know more about!

I really enjoyed reading about this female lead. Typically, the heroine is there kicking down doors ad sprigging into action when there’s a conflict – or at least that’s been my experience – but Chloe is a healer at heart and not one to go running towards danger. The premise of the story felt very well-rounded to me and I was able to picture things in a more realistic way – even if the time the book is set in doesn’t reflect the current period. I’m not normally one for books about the fae, sometimes it just gets too complicated and convoluted for me, but the way this story was written made it easier for me to read through without feeling like I was drowning in information. I was able to read this book without having read the series that originally introduced the characters, but now I kind of want to go back and read Chole and Quintus’s back story for more information. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series and see where the author takes the story from here!

Great beginning for this series! Very good writing and character building. Chloe isn’t your typical strong, go get em type of main character but I really felt a connection with her. She was very relatable. I’m definitely loving Quintus and his whole being. Books about fae are my favorite and this one didn’t disappoint. Great YA book if you love all things fae! It does end with quite the cliffhanger so be prepared to purchase the next book!

Deadly Sommer (Nora Sommer Caribbean Suspense Book 1) by Nicholas Harvey. I love this genre, its my absolute favorite so it was no surprise that I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one. Its the story of Nora who has been talked into joining the Cayman Island Police Department. Before she can even get her feet wet she is thrown into a kidnapping case that involves her more than ever. The kidnapper has a victim but wants Nora to be his next victim so he wants her to complete these challenges in order to save the other victim. The challenges are crazy and Nora has never experienced anything like this ever. As all good “Who Done Its” secrets come out and of course it can change the whole course of the investigation. Will Nora be strong enough to complete the challenges and help the victim live along with herself? Read this amazing Mystery to find out!

I thoroughly enjoyed this action packed crime thriller, which had me hooked from page one. Nora Sommer’s is new to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, and her first case is definitely not one she will forget. Nora is first on the scene when the daughter of a wealthy businessman goes missing, she is then ‘chosen’ by the kidnapper to complete four treacherous challenges. The crime is then live-streamed on the internet for everyone to watch as Nora faces the dangerous challenges, whilst the kidnapped girl’s life depends on her success. However, it’s not just the girls life on the line as Nora undertakes this difficult case. The storyline is full of drama and suspense, whilst the plot twists kept me guessing. Nora is a strong main character, who is likeable and relatable and I felt engaged with her throughout the story. I literally could not put this book down, it’s a real page turner.

Detective Sommer is a sassy, strong and let’s not forget feisty female lead character. Non-stop action from start to finish.
It is a race against the clock to find the hostage and ultimately the kidnapper.
It will be good to see what Nicholas has in store next for her next.

This book is more than a well worth read, I loved it with a passion from start to finish. I could not put this one down! Seriously it did hold its grip on me quite well, and it kept me guessing. I loved this book was unpredictable and really brought a lot to the table! The suspense level was amazing and well done!
This is a book that held a new author for me. I will certainly say I will be reading the rest of the series with passion. The danger that the contents contained was mind blowing. I loved the build up as I read. Nothing seemed to be what it seemed. I felt I was right there with Nora trying to crack this case. She was a super awesome character by the way. I was truly captivated and on edge. The thrill of this book was defiantly there. It also had its shocks moments for the reader. Freaking loved it from start to finish!
A must read to say in small words for sure. I highly do recommend this author and their grand writing skills, as well as the book and the series I will be for sure indulging in. A high recommendation for sure!

Deadly Sommer is a classic thriller at its best. This first book of the series is a definite action-packed, page-turner. We start off with 19-year-old constable Nora Sommer. She is trying to live her life one day at a time after enduring tragedy over the last few years. Unfortunately, her easy Sunday is disrupted by the kidnapping of a young college student. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Nora. Her inner dialogue is sarcastic and hilarious. Nora’s friends, partner, and superior are wonderful as well. This book kept me glued to my seat and had a pretty satisfying ending. I enjoyed the plot and while it’s not anything new, it is well written and entertaining.
