This book was a great read. The main character, Greer, was very interesting to get to know. This book has twists and turns that keep you guessing and leaves you wanting to read more. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. Seriously, this book left me wanting more. I could not put it down! If you’re looking for a book that involves supernatural, love, mystery, and friendship, then this is the book for you!

In book 2, we again catch up with Cat, Robyn, Tobey, and friends. In this round, Cat has managed to talk her parents into going to meet her GG and aunt Jojo, and learn about why her cooking magic works the way that it does.

Cat learns so much about her family history, but all of it seems to just make things more confusing instead of answering any questions. To make it worse, her being in Arizona, haing to get up at 5 AM to practice baking with GG, and listening to everyone fight all the time keeps her away from Tobey. Can her family heal? Can Cat learn why her cooking works the way that it does? Will her mom and Jojo ever get along again?

This series is imaginative, magical, endearing, and a lot of fun – plus it offers tasty recipes!

This book was cute, fun, has recipes included, and offers a glimpse of life through a teenagers eyes. Imaginative, fun, and not another dystopian-like-all-the-others YA novel.

All Cat wants is for her last day of summer to be the most epically awesome day EVER. This means getting to the pool early with her best friend/cousin, get the perfect amount of blond in her hair, thanks to lemon juice and sunshine, and boys to flirt with. Everything is going great, and she even meets a NEW cute boy and tries the best soft pretzel she has ever had in her life!

Why can’t Cat get this pretzel out of her head? Now that she thinks about it…why does her mom hate cooking so much? Why don’t they ever have anything that isn’t carry out or delivery? Cat is about to set out on a very interesting journey in learning about magic and her family secret.

This was my first book by this author, and I loved it. It’s a bit of a slower book, since she’s building her own lore around the original myth, but she does a fantastically eloquent job with it. I love how in the beginning of the book she had put a content warning for those who might struggle with certain types of subject matter. This is the first author I’ve ever seen do that, and I adored that she had the consideration for her readers to put it there. I love books that put new spins on old myths (e.i. Riordan’s series, Circe, Song of Achilles, etc.), and this was so well done. I’m ready for book two!

This book was amazing! I’ve always enjoyed Greek mythology, and have read a lot of books that use it as part of their premise, as well as just reading the myths themselves. I’ve never read a book quite like this one though. I was enthralled. The different characters and their individual perspectives, even as they struggled with similar dilemmas was beautifully written. The growth of the characters as well as their relationship building was wonderfully done. Temi and Pip are these fabulously fierce friends pushing gender norms in a place where that would be looked down upon while Cyn and Apollo were just hiding their true selves like so many of us do. Watching them open up and understand each other was beautiful. Their story is definitely far from over, but oh what a magical beginning!

I really enjoyed this action packed story. It has everything I love in a gripping read, action, danger, Romance and secrets. All add up to a thrilling read that you won’t be able to put down. I really love Nadia’s character. She is a very strong and determined woman who takes no nonsense off anyone and even with her memory loss she stand strong and determined to succeed.

Nadia is an Assassian for a team called Hera Force. She suffered a brain injury which had caused problems with her memory but it doesn’t stop her being a lethal machine. Nothing and no one gets in her way. Until she meets Mitch. She feels a connection to him but she doesn’t know why and he seems to know her which scares her as she has no knowledge of him. Will she remember their past or will it remain something she won’t be able to remember.

Mitch is on the run after being framed for treason. When the love of his life Nadia comes into his bar it turns his world upside down. But she doesn’t remember who he? What happened to her when he left to cause this? And can he rekindle her memories?
Together they now have to work to solve the mystery surrounding who framed Mitch and also uncover their past. Doing all this while Nadia’s own life is in danger. Can they solve all this together? Will Nadia’s memories return? And will she trust Mitch enough to let him in to help protect her?

Our protagonists battle mental illness and character assassination, as well as betrayals. Loyalty is a strong theme in this tale. Although part of a series, this book is wonderful as a stand-alone.

Amy once again decides to write about a hard hitting issue, self confidence. Reading about them fighting not only each other, their enemies, but themselves too made for an interesting dynamic. If your not following this series I highly recommend it. From book one I’ve been captivated and I can’t wait to see where this goes.

This was a great short story and one that I really enjoyed. I really enjoyed the authors writing and also was a great introduction to her as a new author. The story was easy to follow and I really liked the characters Rafe and Cheyenne, they truly were in love but due to Rafe’s arranged marriage they couldn’t be together and then there was Meredith – Rafe’s soon to be wife! She was not a nice one!! Overall a fun read and one that I would recommend!

I really enjoyed this young adult fantasy adventure. The author has done an amazing job with researching history and the Norse mythology which really brings this story to life and makes it believable.
The story of action packed with twists and turns around every corner.

This all starts with a story about Finn’s grandfather. This story revolves around a witch and a family curse. Gripped by the story and to know more Finn and his brothers set out to find out the truth of the story. However they get more than they were expecting when they find the actual witch.
This story is action packed with battles and mysteries and a curse that takes over Finn’s life.
This is a great captivating read and I can’t wait to see what happened next.

I just want to start by saying that I’m a “series” girl. I always have been, that’s just my jam. Stand alones just don’t do it for me. What can I say? I’m greedy. Haha! I’ve been trying to find my next series to obsess over and I’ve finally found it after a few false starts. I want to continue the journey alongside Dr. Joanie and her pack.
Without spoiling anything, it has a lot of mystery, murder, and of course romance. The story has bite (pun absolutely intended) and keeps me wanting to continue reading, even when I should be doing other things.
Excuse me while I run out and get the next three novels in the Lycanthropy Files series!

I definitely didn’t understand what I was diving into when I decided to read The Wolf’s Shadow. It’s bizarre but good. I’m used to werewolf romances and mysteries. Definitely a mystery, however I think this is the first time I read a book that shines werewolves in this light. The author brings a whole new aspect to the idea and one can’t help but get sucked in.
Joanie, inheriting her grandfather’s 500 million estate, and ends up starting life over. Almost dying in her lab’s fire and losing her job, why not start a new life elsewhere. With her best friend Lonna in tow they set off to Crystal Pines. Little did they know they were about to get thrown into the world of child kidnappings and the supernatural.
The author takes us on an up and down ride of their investigation. Joanie to find out what happened to her grandfather, and Lonna the missing children. Things are starting to look like the two are connected.
To find out more you’re just going to have to jump in and check it out for yourself!

This is a great story to read with your child and explore ideas that may not normally just come to us.

I really like finding books by new to me authors. Cecilia Dominic is one of those authors. This story has a great story line and is easy to follow even with the questions that arise while Joanie Fisher tries to figure out what happened to her grandfather, her lab and the strange feelings she has about the things happening around her.
The characters in this story are very easy to like, of course except those bad guys, once we discover who they really are. The universe of werewolves isn’t a new one, but this story takes a different look at it.
Since this story was so good, I will definitely read more from this author. Long Shadows is book 2 and I am ready to start reading it and see what happens to Lonna

I love fantasy and I really enjoyed this book. It’s the first in a series, and I really enjoyed the mix of romance, politics, and magic all contained within this story. It’s full world-building that feels very integrated into the plotlines and revealed gradually throughout the book. But there is also a lot to Ember’s character development which I really enjoyed, as well as her falling in love with Gavyn, and all of the characters are well-drawn and complex. I will definitely be reading the next in this series.

An extremely well done look into what happens if suddenly a subset of the population suddenly changes…
You can suddenly change your eye color, move things with your mind… cool right?
No! new things breed mass hysteria and fear and people with abilities are hunted, arrested and attacked…even though they’ve never lifted a finger against others.
We meet a few characters who have been through world changing experiences and find themselves thrust into protecting others like them. Do they rally together, or is there traitors in their ranks?

this is an intriguing opener to a world of fantasy and emerging powers I’m interested as to where the author takes this group of characters.

I loved this book! I have to admit when I read the synopsis I wasn’t 100% sure but I’m so glad I gave it a chance, the authors writing was so exciting to read. The action in the book was non-stop and was just an absolute pleasure to read. I loved Nadia and Mitch, together they made an awesome team trying to figure just who was trying to frame Mitch and they weren’t just perfect for each other professionally in my opinion!! I think this book probably has one of the best opening chapters that I have read in a long time – the author definitely grabs your attention that’s for sure! I am really excited to read more from this author again in the future!

You know grow and do better. Well, under the cover of the city’s darkness, she is hunting monsters, again. Yep she wants to help human kind! She vows to keep the streets safe, while at the same time trying to harness the dragon eye’s abilities. Will she figure out the eye’s secrets and use it for good? Dahlia is always stretched to her limits and this time is no different. Unfortunately the impending destruction of her adopted home makes her worry if she will be enough to stop it all. After all how can she help the whole city? She’s only one half dragon shapeshifter. Dahlia shies away from the latest murder spree, but the victims’ identities grip her. Trying to unravel the truth, she uncovers something deeper. Of course! Nothing can ever be simple right? This mystery and the many threads of murder tying together are impossible to ignore and she has to find out who is behind this plot once and for all. Who is against her at every turn! She has become a “fire consultant” for the police of Sentinel City, which helps her stay close to the “more interesting” (aka more bizarre) cases. The ones that she needs to help cover up before the veil of creatures and worlds are exposed to the fragile humans. She has hunted creature from the torn veil to keep humanity safe for almost a century now. She knows her monsters, but now something is throwing it all off. Something is different. But what is it? Smells and emotions are off. Are these victims really human? Or something else?? People are mutating and she can’t smell anything but human before they combust! Yes they combust! As in up in flames!!! Combusting humans from homeless to high-class are drawing attention so fast that it’s hard to cover up. Dahlia and her human partner (Creed) investigate the deaths but only come up with more questions and even more bodies. The public is on the verge of a major panic that can consume the whole city! Is this a virus? Is it contagious?? She needs to move fast and find what or who is at fault! Can her sidekick help to figure out that is going on? Will the queen step in and just take care of her at the same time? Two birds one stone? Man this book kept me on my toes!! I CAN NOT wait to read the rest in this set!!! I REALLY want this to become a movie! If done right I can totally see this set becoming a movie series!!

This book was absolutely amazing! I have loved this series since book one and could not wait to see what this book held for me. The action started right away. The destruction and travesty were devastating, but Dahlia and her friends chose to fight the evil. The characters have developed so much throughout this series. They are what really make this so good. The evolution of Dahlia while still keeping to her beliefs. The friends she has forged and the new ones she meets along the way.

But the story is what really kept me from not being able to but the book down. The story is so original and gripping. So many things are happening at once. Just when you think it’s over, it’s really just begun. The world the author has created — so descriptive and imaginative. The author weaves this fantastic tale with intriguing characters into a masterpiece.

The last book in the series, the previous books need to be read first. But if you are a fan of urban fantasy, you really need to read this book and series.

All I can say is wow. This is the final book of the series and it definitely delivered. I have said it before, this author’s stories are epic and remind me of some of the great fantasy authors like JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. The author created a dynamic world and story which I was really loving. I cannot wait to see more from her.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Once again I was delighted by the vibrant world and story that this author created. Dahlia Nite is a heroine that captures your attention and your respect. Taking part in her journey as she works to unravel the mystery that is taking place has been really interesting and fun. This author builds a dynamic world and I enjoyed my time in it.

It’s just an Apocalypse !?! Dahlia is once again working to protect the innocent but this time it might just be too much to bear. Half of her time is missing, she is trying to prevent the apocalypse, and still has to figure out how to repair the Veil between worlds. Will she be able to come up with a solution in time? Will Dahlia be able to prevent the apocalypse? Will she survive it?

I was quickly drawn in and completely absorbed in this story. I didn’t put it down. This the final installment to this series was action packed. I would recommend giving it a read!
