This is the first book that I have read from this author. It is a dark, twisted thriller. It shows the measures people will take to protect the ones they love. The author did an amazing job of keeping you constantly on your toes trying to figure out who the killer is. When you think you have figured it out, you realize that you’re wrong. Something happens that throws you for a loop.
The story takes place in the small town of Graybel, Mississippi. A place where everyone knows everyone and nothing really happens until Deputy Sheriff William Shannahan finds a dead child in the woods. It looks like a dog attack but William has a gnawing in his gut telling him otherwise. The story takes off from there and has so many twists and turns, it will have your head spinning.
The story was detailed and compelling. The author did a fantastic job of hiding clues in plain sight. You only realize them when you finish the book. What a crazy ending! The images I have in my head of those final scenes are the stuff of nightmares. Ms. O’Flynn did an excellent job. I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to ruin the story. I did get a little frustrated with William’s self doubt and constant Elliot Stadler references. It has been a long time that I have read a book in this genre and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend reading this book and I will be looking for other books from this author.

Shadows Keep by Meghan O’Flynn is an exciting and fast paced novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire way through! Having read books by Meghan O’Flynn before I knew I was in for a seriously good ride anyway. And the blurb to this book sounded better, in my opinion, than any of her others and it absolutely did not disappoint. More than once I found myself sitting there with my heart pounding, hanging off the edge of my seat, hardly daring to read what would happen next. There was never a moment you could be bored with this book. It takes you on such a rollercoaster ride. The twists and turns will leave you gasping for breath. This book is well written with in depth and complex characters. For anyone that likes this type of book Shadow’s Keep is an absolute yay read.
Dark and twisted, this thriller had me on the edge of my seat for the entire ride. O’Flynn has proven herself to be a masterful storyteller and this latest book is no exception. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The plot twists kept me guessing and the ending was completely unexpected. Loved it!

Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in, that I was in for something crazy. I was not disappointed in the least. After binge reading and watching happy, heart melty Christmas books/movies, I needed this turn into the dark twisty, thriller verse. This book was truly the perfect kick off for the New Year.
There is so much going on in this book that I can’t just pick one thing to focus on, nor can I give anything away. This book like the authors other works, are full of small clues that you think insignificant; to shocking twists you don’t see coming, to of course, that heart pounding, breath catching ending that leaves you not only shocked, but for a moment, a little confused.
The attention to detail was on point, but it’s not something I’m shocked about, as this is a constant staple throughout the author’s works. What gets me is the ability to not only have shock factors that you don’t see coming, but the ability to grow them as the story moves forward. Each one plays on your mind, and you almost have to back track to see if you can catch were the author led you astray.
The characters, are well built and multi layered, they make this story real and it’s almost like you’re there, taking part rather than watching. This book is another masterful written thriller, from an amazingly talented author. And if you haven’t guessed, I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
An exciting and gripping crime novel, Shadow’s Keep by Meghan O’Flynn is unforgettable. I could not put this novel down. Will was an excellent main character and I loved following him as he worked this case. Cassie was sweet and Mike was interesting. I really liked this novel’s easy to read story line. I felt it was very realistic and enjoyed that small towns where the focus of the setting.

I loved this book! I love how this author has the ability to pull me in right from the beginning. The twists and turns left me sitting on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know what was going to happen next which made the suspense even more intense for me. This story took me on a journey of a string of murders and William the investigator. I loved his character and his ability to love despite what his past has done to him. This is a creepy, dark must read story you don’t want to miss!

The story Shadow’s Keep: A Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is a thrilling book that I loved reading. It constantly had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Chilling scenes which made tingles go up and down my spines had me wondering if everything is what it seemed to be. I loved reading about the character of Deputy Sheriff William Shannahan. He is a man that can’t fight the feeling that there might be more to the killing that is being called an animal attack. He has a strong will and determination. He also is falling for Cassie Parker. William’s investigation leads him down many roads and it is a puzzle that has many pieces to it. Will he be able to find the glue that puts them all together? Read this story to find out. This book has intense scenes and dialogue. William comes from a small town which includes gossip and politics. William also finds himself trying to deal with those who show indifference. Cassie is an intriguing and fascinating character. She is a woman who has fears and scars. This story had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let go until I had finished the last page. Conviction is the second book in Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park series that takes place in the run down area of Detroit. It could be read as a standalone but there is a backstory and characters that are present throughout the series. You can see how the writer has gotten deeper into the Ash Park world, the story is complex and the characters have layers, you learn more about them and it makes you understand where they come from and why they act the way they do. All of them are like us – dark and light – and it is up to them how they choose. We have Petrosky and Morrison with Shannon Taylor from the prosecutor’s office and all of them have their doubts regarding the ‘guilty’ verdict that the young woman Ashley Johnson received. And the doubts grow stronger when Shannon gest stalked and her family gets harassed … and there is a galore of suspects … take your pick! At the same time, the story is much more than just trying to find out who the killer is … I am looking forward to the next story to see where the writer takes us …

Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is the opening to her Ash Park series that introduces us to Detective Petrosky who will be our lead throughout the series. How do I know? Well, I happened to pick up the fourth book first and realized that even though it sort of seemed like a standalone, I needed to come back to the beginning … This opening to the series was a bit underwhelming, at least that is how I felt as I had read the fourth book … I know though that it will get more intense with each book as the writer gets more and more into the characters, giving them more dimension … it is a great start to a twisted labyrinth of violence where everyone has too many skeletons in their closets. The writer gives us a cat and mouse serial killer universe that leaves you doubting yourself and guessing at who it is. I loved that the story was told from multiple characters’ point of view as it added dimension and layers. I have to warn you that it is very graphic so it is not for faint at heart! I will forge on to the next book in the series!

Repressed is the third story in Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park series and I think she has done it now … I have nothing to say but “she has arrived”, roll out the carpet! Repressed is THE story of Detective Curtis Morrison who we met in the first book and learnt more about in the second book … but still (zen) waters run deep … his checkered past seems to be catching up to him – his wife (who we also met in the previous books, the second book was her book) and baby daughter go missing and there is this sadistic monster that is ruling this nightmare that he has initiated to make Morrison to pay for the sins from twenty years ago… The story is dark, disturbing … it is very graphic, the violence, it leaves you shuddering… the way the writer describes addition, it blows your mind … the story is fast paced and you will get a mystery with its beginning, middle and the end! If this is your first book of the series, it will pull you in and you will want to read the other ones and I promise you, you should! I started with book four and now when I have also read the first three, I keep thinking about the fourth one and lamenting what I missed … I think it deserves a re-read!

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is book five and the last in the Ash Park series. I have spent so much time in Ash Park, and I am sad this moving, engrossing, mystery filled, series has come to an end. O’ Flynn was able to grab me from book one till this book. Each book getting better and better and this ONE truly blew me out of the water. The crime coming back to haunt Detective Petrosky, connection to the Looking Glass Killer bringing up so much while Petrosky still dealing with his grief and must finally put this case to rest SOLVED! There are times I want to slap Petrosky but this book, showed me again shows me just how much I have grown to love him. He is a broken down man who has had to deal with such pain and tragedy. This man and all his grief are thrown into a case and investigation that will make him face his past and his pain HEAD ON! I fully can’t put into words how much this book and this series have stayed with me and will continue to stay with me. Meghan O’Flynn delivers each time, and makes me want to read all the books in one sitting. I am addicted to her suspense, her strong characters, and her amazing writing. I am so sad to see this end and truly hope that one day we get to visit Ash Park again. I highly recommend this series, this author, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

I actually only read the last 2 of this series and am so hooked I can’t even tell you, I will have the first 3 and actually think I might want this whole series sitting on my bookshelf next to some other authors that write in this genre, I won’t mention their names but you would know who I was talking about if I did mention them. This author deserves to be right next to them and for some of the writing in these stories Id say she even bypassed them, so yeah Im thinking I will add this series to my Christmas list so that I can read it from the very beginning and what a great excuse to read the last two all over again.
I don’t even have the words to explain how I feel about this book…The name this author chose is so spot on and I couldn’t wait to read it, after finishing Hidden I wasn’t quite sure what I would be walking into but I just knew that this author would take care of it and she did not let me down. Oh, thats not saying it was an easy read because it wasnt when some details were explained or we got to hear from a totally different voice, it was those times I just wanted to crawl through the kindle and beat the tar out of someone.
I truly love Petrosky, he’s not easy to love but I absolutely do, and Jackson, simply awesome!! I wasn’t sure at first but that didn’t last long.
I just don’t know what else to say without going into this long drawn out review full of spoilers so I think it is best I just stop and tell you to pick these books up, don’t start on the 4th like I did, go back and read them all, I can tell there’s a lot I missed, although it didn’t hinder my ready at all I still know I must have them all.
Brilliant storyteller, I read it in less than a day, and I will read every book this author writes, she is now firmly placed on my favorites list of all time.

What another gripping read from this series and author! Following Petrosky again, we are taken on one heck of a ride. I felt all he felt, and I just couldn’t put this down until the end. I’ve read all books from this series and have been dreading but also waiting for this book at the same time. I will be reading more from this author in the future for sure!

This series just keeps getting better and better. There are surprises at every turn. This book is well written and just as exciting as the rest of the series. It is also just as twisted and gruesome as the other books as well.
Detective Petrosky is an amazing detective, father and person. He is a human. He has made mistakes from the beginning of book one. But he is human. He loves with his whole heart, but he won’t tell you that. He’s tough on the outside and even tougher on the inside. I love that he is a larger type man, with common health conditions. Doesn’t everyone love granola bars!?
I also love the return of certain characters from previous books, especially Shannon Morrison. Watching her change from the hard as nails prosecutor into a loving and caring mother was an interesting twist. Knowing that some of the characters get closure, if not their own version of a happily ever after, makes this book a fantastic finish for this series.
I highly recommend this book as the perfect conclusion to the Ash Park series.
Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in her Ash Park Series and I just can’t say enough good things about this one. Each book grips you from page one and takes you in and out of dark places showing you a different terror and characters that willingly walk into that darkness. I can’t say enough good things about O’Flynn and this series, picking book one up was a whim, but I haven’t been able to look the other way since. O’Flynn spins a story so well that it draws you in and leaves you breathless before you realize there was an issue. This book takes place roughly 6 months after book 4, so while each book is written in a way that it could be read as a stand-alone, I totally recommend reading them all in order, so the characters and stories all make the most sense. The brilliant twists, surprises, and tension that unfolded with each of the installments in the Ask Park Series kept me glued to the pages and clamoring to find out what happens next. In Redemption, we are taken full circle, going back to where the journey with these characters all began and getting to see the storyline from a completely different perspective. Getting this back story on the characters, as well as motivations for why they did what they did made this a very interesting take on this series. This book really tied the entire series together making it an even better reading experience. Detective Petrosky is definitely the star of this book, and while he is very much a broken man, he is going to be pushed to a new limit with this complex investigation that is going to bring the ghosts of past back into play. This investigation really took me for a ride, keeping me on the edge of my seat afraid to turn the lights off. If you are looking for a fantastic read that is guaranteed to keep you coming back for more than this is the book, nay series, for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here, or any other books in O’Flynn’s collection because I just need to get my hands on more of her writing.

Redemption (Ash Park #5) by Meghan O’Flynn was a heart pounding, feels invoking, raw psychological thriller that not only hooked me like the other books, but it brought me back to the first book, to that unsolved case, that’s ends with a shocking conclusion.
Coming off the emotional punch to the face from the last book, this book picks up pretty close to when books four ends. I will say before I continue, though these books can be read as standalones, they are following a connecting plot line, and time line. So I highly suggest reading the other books in this series. Especially the first book, as this one directly connects to it. You won’t get the full emotional boot kick, if you skip it. Plus, all the books in this series are freaking amazing!
I don’t even know how to review this book, it wasn’t what I was expecting, and frankly this is probably one of the best books I have read this year. But, let me be clear, to get the full effect, you got to read the other books. You got to see the darkness that’s been smothering Petrosky. His downward spiral, his ghosts, his willingness to just end it all. All of that, from those books, everything leads up to this one. This book will shock you, wreck you and, you will not see the ending coming. I was second guessing everything, and it was, wow.. just wow.
I really hope this isn’t the end of the series, I feel like there needs to be one more, just one more to close it out fully. But if this is the last book, then I have to say, that Meghan O’Flynn has done this series justice and ended it just as strong as it was started. Every book was strong, and that consistency of high level writing is what separates this series, this book, from others like it.
In saying that, please, please, take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that this book is not only a must read, it’s a classic in the making. It will break your emotions, have you struggling to keep it together, and you will shed some tears. This book, this series, is on a whole other level, and is worth every bit of praise it has received.
I’ve said it once and many times, Meghan O’Flynn doesn’t disappoint her readers with her amazing way of putting words together. Words that are able to captivate the reader, and make you sit on the edge of your seat. This was my exact experience with Redemption in the Ash Park Series. It doesn’t matter that I’ve read the previous books in this series, but the intense suspense and thrill remains within the pages of the book and with the characters. I absolutely love how Meghan can develop characters that completely captivate you and don’t let you go. This was most definitely another 5 Star Book for me!!!

WOW! What a way to end a series! Redemption is Book 5 in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book seeing as though the last one left you a little worried. Detective Ed Petrosky has lost his partner and the son he never had. Now that Shannon is moving on with the kids, what does he do? That is the constant question that keeps remaining throughout the entire book. However, in true Meghan O’Flynn style, she has a twist for us. A new partner for Petrosky! And this one is a loop that you did not see coming! I’m not going to go in detail because I want you to be surprised but let’s just say Petrosky is way out of his league on this one! But you will definitely love it! I know I did. I absolutely loved this book as well as I did the others! I would definitely read this series in order because it ends up being one ongoing story. This author has really impressed me with her writing style and raw nature that you do not tend to see very often! I’m glad this series has come to my attention and I truly cannot wait to read more from her! Meghan O’Flynn has written the most intense murder mystery I have read in a long time. This story had me at chapter 1, page one. A non stop thriller, just my kind of story. The characters are just as intense as their story. This has been one of those books you hate to put down. Just enough action to keep you searching for the killer yourself. You must read the series in order. Not for those under 18 or with a weak heart.

Redemption is the fifth book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series is really amazingly disturbing in the psychological sense. Getting into the minds killers that are twisted and commit horrific acts, is Ms. O’Flynns specialty. This book and series is definitely not for the faint of heart. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read the series in order because the books are all great reads and you will miss some big parts of the backstory. This book is full of mystery, suspense, horror and disturbing situations. This book is Detective Petrovsky’s story that started ten years earlier with his young daughters rape and murder. This book was filled with twists and turns and I really couldn’t guess who the serial killer was till the end. I hope tha this series continues, and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 5) by Meghan O’Flynn. I love these books. Its the continuing story of Investigator Petrosky and The Looking Glass Killer. He has promised to protect Hannah Montgomery who reminds him so much of his murdered daughter. He swears he will protect her if its the last thing he does. But when her father ends up murdered he has to wonder if its connected to The Looking Glass Killer. Petrosky is determined to keep Hannah safe and find his daughters killer at the same time. At this point in the series you feel like you can actually feel Petrosky’s pain because he feels like an old friend. This book will cause you to have nightmares but you will love it! They are very twisted and you think you know what’s going to happen next but its never quite what you thought.

O.M.G. This book is INTENSE. Frightening, scary, gruesome, and intense. I think I was holding my breath through the last half of the book. I know my heart was on edge! I think this one is my favorite of this series so far!
O’Flynn is a sick and twisted kind of author! Which is becoming my favorite kind of author! This book included our favorite characters from the first two Ash Park novels, Detectives Petrosky and Morrison and DA Shannon Taylor who had married Morrison in the last book. This story has our team hunting for a pedophile, a murderer and a kidnapper. What are the chances it’s the same person? What are the chances that it’s someone they know?
There are a lot of “repressed” memories and feelings in this story. (Wow what a great title!) I am surprised there weren’t more bad guys!
“Perhaps one day the other memories would fade as the good in life oozed in to the crowd out the tragedy.”
I definitely recommend this story but advise that starting with book one will help you understand the characters feelings and personalities that much more.

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the 5th book in the Ash Park series, a series I would recommend reading in order as each new book follows the last. Redemption is dark, suspenseful, intriguing, heart-wrenching and a fantastic conclusion to a mind-blowing series. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this series. Every book kept me on my toes, constantly guessing and coming up with theories.
I have loved following these characters and their development, Detective Petrosky specifically. He’s a broken man who has experienced so much loss and seen so much evil and he finally gets the justice he so deserves and for that I couldn’t be happier.
I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for their next crime read!

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in the Ash Park series. I highly recommend reading the books in order to get the full impact. This continues along the storyline of the prior books and is hard to put down read. There were some terrifying scenes and twists but did not let me down. This was a great end to the series and only improved from book to book. I will be looking for more from O’Flynn in the future because her writing always is a great read.

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 5 by Meghan O’Flynn 5 out of 5 stars This is a book where I had to sit and pace myself. This story picks up 5 years after a killer was loose on the streets. Think London’s Jack the Ripper, but in modern day Ash Park. Detective Petrosky is a recurring character from a previous book, Volume 4, Hidden Ashes, in this series and he has some serious ghosts to slay. All of his past and the ghost of his murdered daughter, a victim of the Looking Glass Killer, comes rushing back when a woman is kidnapped and she looks just like his daughter. Petrosky is on the hunt for this terrible, terrible person. The last 5 years of guilt, sorrow and hatred is fueling his desire to bring his killer down. O’Flynn is a masterful storyteller for the ages. The details and depth that she gives to each of her stories is incredible and I would place her talent on par with James Patterson and Patricia Cornwall. These books can be read as standalone but I HIGHLY recommend reading them all and in order.

5 Star Redemption : An Ash Park Novel (Volume 5) By Meghan O’Flynn is the fifth book in the An Ash Park series. I’m in complete shock and speechless. Holy Cow!This series has pretty much ruined me for any other thriller series. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, bam it does.I loved this entire series and will definitely be rereading this series at some point. All I have to say is if you haven’t started this series do it now!I promise you won’t regret it. This nail biting book wow!Definitely some twists and turns that had me biting my nails while on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Once I started reading there was really no putting it down. Redemption was a thrilling 5 star read and book 5 in the Ash Park series. I was so excited to get my hands on this book to see how the series ended and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I really enjoy books that have me trying to figure out things as I’m reading, only to be thrown way off base. There were several twists and turns that added great elements to the story. We continue with Detective Petrosky and the cases he is working on. Could there be a connection between them? Will he finally solve his daughters murder?
I don’t want to give anything away about this great read so be prepared for an intense read that will leave you emotionally spent. Meghan does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. All of the secondary characters were great. It was great how everything tied together in this series finale. I highly suggest reading all of the books in the series before this one.Beware that there are some scenes in the series that could be triggers for some. I look forward to reading more from this author.
