Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Michelle Austin

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3)Fire & Ice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire & Ice was a great 5 star read and book 3 in the Spicetopia series.
Let’s just say that Fire & Ice describes these two characters to a tee.

Neve is head of security and Enya is the Director of PR for Spicetopia. They end up on a PR tour by themselves, when Cy has to return home unexpectedly. Neve doesn’t like to talk much and Enya is the complete opposite. She really annoys the crap out of Neve. They make it through the tour and return back to Spicetopia to discover that someone is trying to sabotage the park before it even opens.

During the staff only evening at the park lets just say that Neve and Enya have a very interesting encounter in the dungeon. Enya shares some interesting personal information with Neve and they discover they have some things in common. Just as things start to get even more steamy all heck breaks loose at the park.

WIll they find out who is behind the sabotage? Can these two actually have something between them?

There is so much more to the story from here. We get some crazy twists, mystery, suspense, etc. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see who was trying to sabotage everything. This is a great opposites attract read. I really liked Neve and Enya these two were exactly what they needed in their lives. Be warned that once you start you won’t want to stop until your done. This is my favorite in the series so far and I can’t wait to read more. 1-click and get started today.

Holiday Terminal was a great 5-star second chance romance.

I really enjoyed Penelope and Artemis’s story. These two find themselves in the middle of nowhere at a very small airport on Christmas. Due to a snowstorm both of their flights had to do an emergency landing and of course fate stepped in and brought them together again after 5 years.

Penelope is shocked to see Artemis, the old feelings come back and she goes back to the last time they saw each other. Her heart was shattered and he walked away. She also is afraid that he will discover her secret. What will happen when the secret comes out?

Artemis and Penelope start to realize that they both had made mistakes the last time they talked. There was a misunderstanding that changed their lives. Can they finally have what they wanted so badly or will Aremis’s family step in?

Throughout the years Becca and Zack are very close. Zack has always kept Becca at arms length, until one day things between them change.

Forbidden (Tales of Passion, Lust & Betrayal Vol. 1) by Autumn Sand – Review by Michelle Austin

ForbiddenForbidden by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forbidden was a hot and steamy 5 star read.

I was excited to read this book. The book starts with us going into club Forbidden, we meet Neria who is our hostess. She takes us through the club to seven doors, behind each door there is a different sexual scenario.

We get some very hot and steamy scenes that include some erotica as well. We also get some unexpected twists that added great elements to each story. Autumn does a great job of pulling you right in, once I started I couldn’t stop reading. This is a quick read that should be read with an open mind. I look forward to reading the next book.

Shameless (The Orphan Train Saga Book 2)Shameless by Sherry A. Burton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shameless was a good 4 star read and book two in The Orphan Train Saga series. This is an emotional read that will pull you right in. We continue with the story of the Orphan Train with Tobias’s story.

We start with Cindy and her mother finding all the journals and the keys for the boxes. As she and her mother start to read the journals, their relationship starts to change.

We meet Tobias in the first book and we get his story in this one. He has quickly learned how to survive on the streets and ends up joining a gang. When he sees Mileta he is quickly drawn to her and has the need to protect her.

Overall this is a good read and I really enjoyed this story.
This series has introduced me to the Orphan Train and I have done some research to learn more. It was such a sad thing and how these children were treated. I highly suggest you read book one in the series before this one, it will help you connect better with the characters and story. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

Tangles by Sharleen Scott – Review by Michelle Austin

TanglesTangles by Sharleen Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tangles was a great 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down.

We meet Logan and his family in the beginning, he is a great father that loves his children. He is also someone that when he sets his mind to it he is determined to accomplish his goals.
Logan started to wonder what was going on with his mom when he was on the phone with his dad, she was asking strange questions but his dad assured him she was fine. During a visit he knew his mom behavior was odd and she injured his son. Logan finally gets his father to share what is wrong with his mother, Alzheimers.

When Logan’s father passes he ends up caring for his mother. This is definitely not an easy task and he ends up hiring a nursing service to help him. When he discovers some journals that his mother wrote he ends up with lots of questions and discovers secrets that his mother had, secrets that make him angry and confused.

Will he be able to find someone that can help put the pieces together and give him the answers he’s looking for?

Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. My heart went out to Logan, having a friend who’s family went through Alzeimers with her mother this felt like it hit home. Sharleen Scott has done a great job with her writing and you feel like your right there with Logan. If you’re looking for a great read, I highly suggest this one. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Darcy’s Caution (Pride & Prejudice & Racecars Book 3) by Zoe Burton – Review by Michelle Austin

Darcy's Caution (Pride & Prejudice & Racecars Book 3)Darcy’s Caution by Zoe Burton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Darcy’s Caution was a thrilling 5 star read and the third book in the Pride & Prejudice & Racecars series. I love Nascar so it’s always fun to read racecar romances and this one did not disappoint. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.

This is Liz and Wills story. Will races stock cars and his beautiful wife is Liz. These two are so in love, you can feel it come off the pages. Liz is a strong, independent woman with a stubborn streak. These two have had some challenges and they end up facing another one when a stalker comes into the picture. Will and his family take precautions to protect Liz from the stalker. Will it be enough? Can Will keep Liz safe?

All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. Zoe Burton pulled me right in with her writing and I can’t wait to read more. 1-click and get started today on this great series.

The Fisher Men X-ing Lines (Fisher Men Book II) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey – Review by Michelle Austin

The Fisher Men X-ing Lines (Book #2)The Fisher Men X-ing Lines by Rebel Nicks O’Dey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The FIsher Men X-ing Lines was a good 4 star read.

This is Connor and Rika’s story, they have an interesting relationship. These two actually share an apartment but only communicate via text, their chemistry was undeniable. This went on for about a year. Rika is also a writer and is currently working on a book.

Will these two still have the same connection once they meet in person?

All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Nonna was a favorite of mine that had me LOL at times. Rebel Nick’s O’Dey does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. Overall I enjoyed this read and I look forward to reading more from this author. You can read this as a stand alone, however I highly suggest reading book one first.
