My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding Leda, the Science of Happiness (The Italian Saga #5) by Gaia B. Amman was a good 4 star read.

Leda is going to school in Italy. She has struggled with several self image issues and is recovering from an eating disorder. Having also suffered a broken heart she is trying to move forward from that as well. All of this has turned her into a very strong young woman.

Leda is so busy that she wasn’t looking to connect with anyone but when she meets him there is an instant connection which gets her wondering about her future.

Could he be the one? Does she have room for a relationship?

Overall this was a good read. We get to see Leda grow through the story. We get love, humor, self growth and so much more. All of the characters added a good element to the story. I was pulled in by the author’s writing, I really liked the setting. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love is What You Bake of it (Meraki #1) by Effie Kammenou was a great 5 star read. This was a great start to this series. I was pulled right in from the beginning.

We get an intro to Kally in the prologue where she meets a woman who helps her realize some things. We jump ahead a few years, Kally finally has her own shop regardless of how much her father gripes about it. One day a man walks into her cafe and he comes across very arrogant. But her friend accuses her of always finding the bad in men. I loved her friend.

Kally was hurt very badly so she has some pretty high walls and is not actively looking for a man. However there is something about Max that pulls her in. Will she finally let someone in and get a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. This greek family reminded me of the movie My Big fat greek wedding. All of the secondary characters were great, the family had me lol at times. We get romance, suspense and so much more. I can’t wait to read more from this series and author. 1-click and get started today.

Holding Out for You by Anna Paige was a great 5 star read.

We start with Blair and her friend going to a party. Blair’s friend has set her up on a blind date that is a total bust, he is not the guy for her. She gets a call from her brother to go get his best friend Ashton. The man that has done nothing but torment her through the years.

Just a few more short pages into the book these two admit their feelings for each other. There is a twist and we get an even better story.

We get several POV’s in the book which I really enjoyed. All of the characters were great.

ThrowbackThrowback by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Throwback by Zeia Jameson was a great 5 star read.

We start by getting clips of Livy and Jeremy’s childhood up to an adult. They both had different but heartbreaking childhoods. Livy was counting the days until she was 18 so she could get out and away from her mom. Jeremy lost his dad to a drunk driver when he was little and wanted to make his mom proud.

These two end up meeting at the bar Livy worked at and they had an instant connection. As they start dating they have to learn to drop their walls and learn to trust each other. They also have some challenging twists and turns.

Can these two have a HEA?

There is so much more to this great read that I don’t want to give away. This author has done a great job of pulling me in with her writing and I couldn’t put it down. Great debut novel! Forbidden Desires: Taken by her Son’s Best Friend (Confessions of a Trophy Wife Book 1) by L.M. Mountford – Review by Michelle Austin

Forbidden Desire (Confessions of a Trophy Wife, #1)Forbidden Desire by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Forbidden Desire (Confessions of a Trophy Wife #1) by L.M. Mountford was a steamy 4 star read.

Elizabeth is in a marriage that has diminished the last few years. She doesn’t feel the love and romance that was once there. Her husband is always gone for work and now her son has gone off to college. She has the whole house to herself and she is extremely lonely.

When she goes to her best friends house she ends up seeing Hugh. Hugh is not only her best friend’s son but her son’s best friend. You can feel their connection as soon as she walks in the house. They have a steamy moment, however she rushes off. Hugh is not letting her get away that easily and shows up at her house. Will Elizabeth push him away again?

Overall this was a quick read with lots of steamy moments. I rated it a four because it felt rushed in some areas. I also would have liked to have gotten a little more to the story. There is a little twist that threw me off and I had to reread that piece. Note, if you don’t like cheating this isn’t the book for you. Badge Bunny
Brynne is an ER doc who has sworn off men in uniform. Chris is a state patrol officer whose job brings him into the ER quite often.
The first time that Brynne meets Chris, let’s just say that Chris didn’t make a very good impression and pretty much insulted Brynne without realizing it. When Chris asks Brynne out he gets quite an earful on why she doesn’t date cops anymore. I had a lol moment with his response to her.
Brynne is very annoyed by Chris but yet she notices very much how hot he is. She can’t stop thinking about him and when they both end up at the same wedding things take an interesting twist. This was a great read, I had several LOL moments. All of the characters are so lovable and sassy.

Wedding War
This was a fun read. Jason and Hannah’s families were in the wedding business for years until a fight happened and they ended up being enemies. We jump ahead to Hannah who is worried when she finds out competition is coming to town. She realizes that she may need to ask Jason for help, even though he’s considered the enemy. Will he help Hannah?

Stage Mom

A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon, #4) by Jean Wilde was a good 4 star read.

Victoria is 24 and really wants a husband and family, at her age she is considered a spinster. Then she meets Blake at a party, he’s the son of a tycoon and let’s just say there wasn’t any love lost between them. This is a good love and hate story but you could feel the attraction between them. While at another party something happens that unexpectedly brings them together and they have to marry.

Can these two put their hate aside and actually find love? Will they make it to the altar?

Overall I enjoyed this book. I really liked Victoria, she is a strong character who isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind. Blake has been hurt in the past and is very cautious. Book 1 Music Man:
This is Claire and Jack’s story and I loved it.
Jack has always had the dream to make it big in the music industry. Life had other ideas for him and he ended up a music teacher. When he meets Claire there is an instant connection, they are great together. After Claire encourages Jack to enter a contest, things take a great turn for him and he gets another chance at his dream.

Can Jack have it all, family, music career and Claire?

Overall I really enjoyed this story. Claire loves Jack and will support him in anything he wants to do. Jack also loves Claire and is great with his daughter. There is so much going on in this read I don’t want to give anything away. The secondary characters were great. I also had some LOL moments as well.

Book 2 The Flip:
What do you do when the person you hate becomes a co-owner of the same house as you? Andrew and Sonnet have a not so great past from high school, when they find themselves in an odd predicament they choose to fix up the home and sell it. Sounds easy right? Not so much.

These two have such a connection that they try to deny in the beginning, eventually they decide to give a little summer romance a try. Will it stay just a summer thing?

I was pulled right in and couldn’t stop until I was done. I loved all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. Both Andrew and Sonnet grew on me, I loved her sassiness. There was something enlightening about reading this book, I had so many LOL moments. If you’re looking for a good fun read, this is your book.

Book 3 Plot Twist:

When Lindy’s friends convince her to join the theater, this is where she meets Meric.

Meric is an accountant and is in the middle of a divorce. When he meets Lindy at the theater he is drawn in by her. He wasn’t planning on any type of relationship but something about her is different.

These two have some issues that have them holding back. Can they get past these feelings and have something together? They form a great friendship, it’s great watching them grow and develop their relationship into something more.

Will they get a HEA?

I really liked Lindy’s sassiness and how she connected with Meric. These two pulled me right in with their story. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. The only thing that gets to me is that Lindy is plus-size and I at times have a hard time with what is considered plus-size, I would have been just as happy not knowing her size and only knowing her as the great loveable character she is. If you are looking for a great romance with some LOL moments this would be a great book for you. Thank you K.L. Montgomery for another page turner.

Cade (Default Distraction #3) by A.S. Roberts was a great 5 star read.

I was pulled in right from the beginning. Winter is planning an event for her brother’s band and when she has a meeting with the band Cade locks in on her. Cade is the drummer of the band who has a past of drugs, alcohol and lots of women. There has always been something between them following a brief relationship when they were younger and he has picked up on Winter’s vibes at the meeting, he sees the need in her eyes. Let’s just say he doesn’t let her get very far, he is right there trying to tempt her at every turn. He wants to have her again, to calm the burning attraction between them.

WIll one night be enough or will their past bring them back together?

Devil’s Spawn (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read. I have to say it did take me just a bit in the beginning to get pulled in as we were getting introduced to all of the characters because you basically have two stores going on at once. Keeping them straight threw me off a little until I got to know them better.

My heart broke for Vannah and her son. Liz was her husband who suffered a traumatic brain injury in the military and pretty much lost all memory of his family. Giving him the space he needed Vannah had stepped back for 10 years but yet kept tabs on him. Now she is struggling with her son and realizes he needs his father. Can the club help Vannah and her son reconnect with Liz or is he lost forever?

Mace and Shayla also had a great story. Shayla came into the shop wanting a tattoo removed but there was something about the tattoo that Mace needed to check into. Who is she and what is she running from?

OVerall this was a great read. Mace was great trying to help Vannah and her son and his story was great as well with Shayla. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. It is a great rival to lovers read.
This is Julien and Monroe’s story and I loved it.

Monroe’s bar has been struggling and she gets concerned when the place next door is bought. She has loved working there and since the owner isn’t the nicest person she gets concerned when the place next door is sold. She decides to snoop on the competition and when she meets Julien, the new owner she is immediately drawn to him.

Julien likes Monroe instantly, what will happen when he learns about Monroe’s secret? Will that change things for them?

These two were great, I had several LOL moments. Julen being a frenchman was a plus along with being sexy and super nice. Monroe was adorable and determined. Overall I really enjoyed this read. I loved the ending and can’t wait to read more from the series. 1-click and get started today.

Irresistible Valentine was a great 5 start compilation of nine Valentine Romance stories and the third installment in the Irresistible Romance series.

Two Hearts Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson is about Eve and Harry. We get another great story written around Crystal Rock where these two grew up together. We go past to present as we get the back story. Can these two find their love again now that they are back in Crystal Rock?

Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Michelle Austin

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mountains Trilogy is a great 5 star read from the Mountains series.
I was pulled right in and really like all of the characters in each of these books.

Book 1: Mountains Wanted
Sarah is a professor and a single mom. When she meets Jame’s she is immediately attracted to him and they have a great connection. And we get some steamy moments from them. Sarah struggles with how to tell Jame’s her secret. How will he react, will he understand?
All of the secondary characters were great, I loved Sarah’s best friend, she was a hoot. I had several LOL moments, especially when her son would ask her questions. We get a cliffhanger that leads into book 2. Thankfully this is a trilogy so you don’t have to wait to find out what happens.

Book 2: Mountains Climbed
We move forward with Sarah’s story. She has revealed her lifestyle and is a very loving person. James has been deployed and moved on. Sarah is broken hearted and ends up meeting someone new. They both struggle with moving forward. There is so much more to this read, I don’t want to give anything away. I will say that my emotions were all over the place.

Book 3 – Mountains Loved
This book tested my feelings for Sarah at times. I didn’t always agree with her decisions on things. We see a change in Sarah’s behavior, not what we are used to seeing in the previous books. It shows that she’s human. James was another one that pushed my buttons as well. I don’t want to go into detail on this with the risk of giving things away. I will just say 1-click and get started on this great series so you can understand my feelings.

Overall this is a great series and I really enjoy all of the characters. I look forward to reading more from the series and this author. Your emotions will be all over the place and we get some very steamy moments. Thank you Phoebe Alexander for a great read.

2am Secrets by M. Piper – Review by Michelle Austin

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2am Secrets was a great 5 star steamy read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We start with Sadie trying to find her keys, once again and risking being late for work on a big tip night, New Years Eve. Archer offers to take her but she knows that wouldn’t be a good idea. Archer is her brother’s best friend and someone she needs to stay away from. The last few times these two were around each other sparks have been flying. Sadie made an agreement with her brother to but it’s getting harder and harder to resist.

When Archer and her brother show up at the bar things get very interesting. Archer is pushing the limits when her brother isn’t around, it’s thrilling and hot but dangerous as well. When Archer agrees to stay and make sure she gets home ok, he makes his move and gets her to agree to come to his hotel room. And let’s just say it was a heck of a steamy scene. Let’s just say things get even steamier and more interesting from here.

Archer wants more with Sadie, can Archer convince her? What will happen if her brother discovers their secret?

I really liked both Sadie and Archer. Archer is hot, dominant, romantic and caring. Sadie was just as feisty in bed and I loved her strength and caring side. All of the secondary characters were great. Grandma was my favorite. I would love to see more from some of the other characters. I look forward to Sam’s story. If you are looking for a great steamy read 1-click and get started today.
