Taz may look like hell on wheels with her wild colored hair and Devils Handmaidens MC association, and she definitely can be – but there are many layers to her.
Taz is a fiercely loyal friend, a dedicated and loving mother, an astonishingly good accountant and an abuse survivor. When her ex, Slick, reappears and finds Teddy at school, it’s a matter of time before he gets ahold of her. She immediately shrinks in upon herself, lost in the memories of the abuse she suffered at his hands and in fear that she and Teddy are in danger.
It is then that she realizes just how much her MC and their brother chapter care for her and consider her and Teddy family. They pull out all the stops to show just how far they’re willing to go to protect one of their own. Angsty, emotional, harsh and hearthwarming.
This is the third book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC series. Although this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two books in the series. This book focuses on Taz and Enforcer but previous characters make appearances.
Once again, I loved being thrown into the brilliantly created world with the amazingly strong women and the people who support them. Taz is remarkable, having a difficult past and working hard to make a new life for herself and her son. When her past comes forth bringing danger, she is fierce in the face of her fears and Enforcer (as well as the rest of the MCs) support her like the family they are.
Not only are Taz and Enforcer holding a special place in my heart, so is her son. The inclusion of this new dynamic brings an extra element of emotion to everything they go through. I was incredibly emotionally invested, beginning to end, and still am.
Cannot wait for the next instalment to be released!
What a ride! TAZ is the third instalment in DM Earl’s Devil’s Handmaidens all female MC: Timber Ghost Montana. I was so excited to see the next book was out and jumped on that straightaway. It is one of my favourite series. There is a large cast of characters and a lot to keep up with, but DM has masterfully woven it all together to give us something that is raw, dark and gritty making it a gripping and captivating read. These amazing characters are flawed and broken and have been through so much but with all that they are a family of choice. Taz is as colourful and sassy as her hair. She was on the run but found a home but that is all now in jeopardy when her past comes knocking. We see the women of the MC and others who answered the call put through their paces with this one with white supremacists and corrupt politicians. It is jam packed with danger, action, suspense, suspense, drama, angst, and tension. Hopefully Taz and Travis can survive the storm with all the secrets and lies. I look forward to reading so much more from this series.
Taz is a member of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, she is good at numbers and when she notices money missing from the Tink’s account it begins to unravel into something more. Her son is attacked from the cruel man from her past and while all this is simmering in the background, her secret relationship with Travis “Enforcer” Milford becomes something more. Taz’s focus though is her son and protecting him at all costs, especially since her ex doesn’t seem to want to go away.
It is unusual to find a book with a female MC which is refreshing. I thought Taz was a strong woman who got fooled in her earlier life. I loved the interaction she has with her son. Travis and Taz had terrific chemistry even when they disagree. Definitely going to go back and read the other two books.
Taz is Book Three in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC Series. The series focuses on strong, feisty, smart, bad arse women who do not back down from a challenge. The women are part of a motorcycle club, and each has their own backstory that has led them to be part of the club. This story focuses on Taz, who was running with her young son Teddy from her abusive ex when she ran, literally, into Shadow. Shadow offered her and her son protection and the club took her under their wing. Taz first became a prospect, and then a member of the Devil’s Handmaidens and now is their accountant. Taz will do anything to protect her son Teddy from being hurt and so will the members of the club. When Taz’s ex comes back into the picture and enlists the help of a white supremacist club Taz and the Devil’s Handmaidens enlist the help of a male MC club known as the Intruders. Together they fight to protect Teddy and take down the white supremacist group.
This was another superbly written book in this series with a strong cast of characters and an amazing storyline that pulled me in from the very beginning. Taz was a colorful character with her multi colored hair and looked tough on the exterior but was a bit of a nerd deep down. When it came to protecting her son, she was fierce. The Devil’s Handmaidens and the Intruders were made up of strong men and women who believed in protecting their loved ones and bringing justice to those who deserved it. Travis, AKA the Enforcer, was willing to protect Teddy at all costs. This book was full of drama, action, suspense, danger, angst, intrigue, and twists and turns that will keep you riveted until the end. I highly recommend this book!

I thought Tink and Shadow took the title of Badass. Taz has been through some bad stuff and had her world turned upside down. Her little boy, Timothy, who has autism, is my little hero. I have not laughed so hard. I don’t know where the inspiration for him came from but raising an autistic little boy myself, you hit that spot on. The weenie conversation had me spitting coffee and falling off my chair. Taz and Enforcer have a lot to overcome but they are one couple that I found myself rooting for. Those two deserve peace and love. Old faces came to visit. Both MC’s were involved in the story along with the Grimm Wolves. Action, drama, suspense, romance, and a bit of Montana Militia. You’ll be on the edge of your seat and have to read the whole book in one sitting. I love this whole dang series. The author writes it so well. It can be graphic but it so well written and the characters are so relatable. One of the best MC series around. This is my favorite book in the series yet.
Another gripping story featuring the women from the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter. As usual I was hooked from start to finish by this MC romantic suspense, which is full of drama, making it hard to put the book down! The storyline focuses on the Clubs Treasurer, Taz with her wild and colourful hair. Although she comes across as the shy nerdy one of the MC, if you mess with her family you get her rough and hard side. So when her ex comes back into her life putting son Teddy in danger, she’s determined to protect him. Even if that means enlisting the help of Travis “Enforcer” Milford, and his brothers from the Intruders. Both the Devil’s Handmaidens and the Intruders work together to go up against their enemies, who don’t stand a chance. Especially when it also becomes personal for Enforcer, who will do anything to keep Taz and her son safe. Once again I was fully immersed in the Devil’s Handmaidens world, which is brought vividly to life through the well defined characters and the descriptive narrative of the setting. I love the fact that it’s an all woman’s MC which is unusual in novels, and I love all the unique and quirky characters who are all individuals. The storyline does get a little dark, but I loved being back with the Devil’s Handmaidens and look forward to returning to them soon!

Wow. Just wow. If I thought I was emotionally invested in the first book, it has only intensified in this one.
My heart ached for Shadow and everything she had been through, but I could see how Shadow’s past shaped her and it gives me an even greater appreciation for her. The way that she fights hard for those who need it and her dedication to free those trapped as she was is heart-breaking, especially as her own mental wounds are still healing. I thought Shadow was portrayed very well, there was the right amount of balance between the trauma and recovery and the way she initially reacts to the character of Panther felt raw. She is such a strong character, I love her.
Panther is also a lovable character, his patience and support for Shadow makes him perfect for her as she tries to heal and move forward. He himself has his own healing to do and I think that helps him in understanding Shadow and her needs. He plays an important role in the book, not just as a love interest, but also in helping the women being trafficked. I enjoyed the pair’s dynamic, and their progression was realistic and relatable – I was rooting for their relationship the whole way through.
Another great book in this unique series. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Shadow is the Devil’s Handmaidens MC enforcer, I one-percenter motorcycle club of all women. She is strong, serious, scary, and THE force to be reckoned with. We meet Shadow in the first Devil’s Handmaidens MC book where we discover her position as enforcer makes her switch into a monster who can torture, kill, and cause so much pain, nobody wants to be on her bad side. In this continuation of the series, we find out why and how Shadow is who she is and can do what she can. Panther is a Navajo Indian who fought in the military and has his own warring background. In this story, we get to watch 2 halves become a whole, and be ripped apart by something so intense, it could kill them. Shadow’s past. This book is tortured and beautiful, heartbreaking and strengthening, painful and comforting. This book is an enigma of contradictions and I loved it so much! Be prepared for trigger warnings, this book is full of them. But if you can make it through, it is worth knowing Shadow and seeing her wounds reopened and healed all in one story.
This was a heavy book for me. There’s a lot of detailed scenes in this book, so please heed the content warnings. Shadow is definitely a complex character, and by the end of the book, I found myself applauding her from her character arc of survival to living. Those of us who have personally dealt with similar issues know what I mean by that. It’s a very fast paced book like the first, and the new characters introduced in the book are some of my favorites so far. If you’re into the MC books, with lots of tenacity, twists and turns then you would enjoy this one!
This was a very fast paced book! Loved the HEA, and the plot line. The writing style was different from what I’m used to, and it took me a bit to get used to it.It does have very heavy content material, so please proceed with caution and take breaks as needed. I normally don’t read a lot of MC books, but this one was pretty alright! Mafia still has my heart, but if you love gangs, justice, romance, and some kick-butt fighting, then I would definitely recommend this for you.
This is the second book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC and once again D.M. Earl delivers. The continuation of learning more about Shadow is seamless in a way. In Tink, book one, we get glimpses of the fierce enforcer but in this book everything is laid out at our feet breaking our hearts and lighting our torches again. Similar to the first book this book gives us multiple perspectives including more from Tink. Shadow’s story is finally revealed, the reason for her face tattoo, the reason for her indestructible walls that she hides herself behind, everything. After years of praying Tink finally believes in God when he not only heard her prayers but answered them in the form of Panther. In her words anyone with eyes could see he was in love with and only has eyes for Zoey (Shadow). He sees her true beauty, feels the tattoo on her face only enhances it, everything about her has him entranced. Panther has been tracking a pedophile ring for years and finally has a chance to take them down, calling Shadow for assistance everything suddenly goes belly up when the ring leader only wants Shadow. All hands-on deck as the search for Shadow begins. Can they find Shadow in time? Will Panther succeed in getting through her walls? Shadow has found someone that loves her and everything about her, but can it survive all that is thrown at them? This series has a way of hooking into your soul and dragging you back for more no matter how much your head tells you to walk away for a moment to breath. These women are more than heroines they are everything and more to the survivors they rescue, because they are survivors themselves. They understand the pain and the demons each victim has survived and shows them they can fight those demons and win. I can’t wait for book three, Taz, May 18th, 2023, to learn more about these incredible women.
I had to let this marinate in my head before trying to write this. The horrors that Zoey (Shadow) went through should have been more than she could survive but she did not give up. Now she does what she can save others and try to stop the sick monsters from doing it to others.
Panther is the type of man I dreamed of meeting when I was younger. Strong rugged man who gives Wind in His Hair vibes (yes I know I’m dating myself) and a strong desire to do everything he can for the woman he loves.
I have been impressed by this series and Ms. Earl, the two I have read by her have kept me wanting more as I turned the pages. Will be looking for more by her in the future.
This is the first book I have read by D.M. Earl, and she set a high bar for other MC books. I haven’t read any others before this and the over all story and the work that the Devil’s Handmaidens take on is awe inspiring. While this book is Tink and Noodles story its so much more than that. Being the first book in a new series Tink sets up the world and introduces you to the characters that make the world what they want out of it. As a survivor myself of sexual assault I found Tink’s flashback of when she was 12, to be a little difficult to make it through and had to take a few after to continue but it was well worth it. Told from not only the main couples’ perspectives we get the perspective of Shadow also. Tink is the president of the Devil’s Handmaidens, after a tragic event when she was only twelve years old and then another one at eighteen; she discovers her hearts mission, ending human trafficking and abuse. Noodles is a Navy SEAL veteran that is new to Timber-Ghost Montana helping a friend Ollie, with his heart mission. Building a sanctuary for military vets and animals. No longer wanting to play games and wanting to settle down Noodles is up front and honest with Tink, informing her that he is interested in her and doesn’t want games but to see where things go. With a little shove from Shadow, Tink gives him her number and things begin. Shortly after an intruder on Tink’s ranch has her and everyone around her searching for the person responsible and asking the question why. Shadow is the Devil’s Handmaidens Enforcer; she does what she must so the others don’t have to. Being one of Tink’s only constants she is family, not by blood but by heart. After the break in and the warning of “soon” written on her wall Tink has no choice but to share her survivor story and the reason for her life’s mission with others outside of her family and MC. Full of action, drama, suspense and a little steamy romance this book kept me hooked throughout. Zoey “Shadow” Jeffries is the club’s enforcer, and has a heartbreaking back story, of being sold into slavery as a child, then being left for dead and having to fight for her freedom. Shadow, along with the club now help protect and save other young trafficked victims from sexual predators. When Shadow meets Panther, a sexy Navajo horse rancher, they become a team navigating the dangerous world of human trafficking, in order to save the women. However, working together they can’t deny their mutual attraction or chemistry, which sizzles off the page. Both have their own pain but they might just find their own happy ever after together. Another dark storyline which is not always an easy read, but the great characters and the connections between them make this an engaging story. I felt completely immersed in the MC’s world thanks to the descriptive narrative, and I look forward to returning to it, with the next book in the series.

This book was hard to put down once I picked it up and started reading it. We learn a lot more about Shadow in this book, her history was heartbreaking and she has been keeping the worst of it a secret. This was an emotional read from all the horrific things that have happened to Shadow and the terrible things done to the children but also the emotions that come from all the people that care about Shadow. My emotions while reading this story were definitely up and down throughout. I found myself rooting for Shadow and Panther to be what each other needed. I can’t say enough great things about this book and how well the author wrote it. I can’t wait to read what the author has in store for us next. I highly recommend this book.
Zoey was sold into a life of slavery as a child and had unspeakable things done to her. After being left for dead she finds the courage to get free and in doing so meets Tink. Together they start an all-women’s motorcycle club where Zoey starts her new life under the name Shadow and becomes the club’s enforcer. Like Shadow, Tink, and all of the other female members have had traumatic pasts they have overcome and because of this they have made the club’s mission to save others from being sold into lives of slavery and exploitation.
When Shadow meets Panther things change for her and she feels an emotional connection to him. Although she is sexually attracted to him, she cannot bring herself to overcome the demons of her past and sleep with him. Shadow and Panther both feel a special connection to one another and find that they have a common bond in trying to save the lives of women and children being sold into the sex trade. The two of them try to navigate their feelings and desires as they both struggle to overcome the demons that haunt Shadow’s thoughts and memories.
This was exquisitely written, and I loved the characters of Shadow and Panther. Having read about Shadow in past books I could not help but wonder what her story was. Once I read about the absolute horrors that Shadow had experienced as a child I was repulsed. I felt my heart breaking for her and was sickened at the abuse she had suffered at the hands of so many. Shadow was a woman who could have easily let her past abuse and trauma break her but instead chose it to help others in similar situations which is truly admirable. I was happy to see that she found Panther and that he was so patient with her. He never pushed her for her story or tried to make her do things that she was uncomfortable doing. Panther was patient, gentle, kind, and understanding even without knowing Shadow’s story.
Another amazing book with take charge, no holds barred, strong women who do not let their past demons stop them. They take their demons and channel them into helping other women and children. This book was full of action, violence, mayhem, bloodshed, romance, lust, love, emotional highs and lows, strength, hope, and courage. I highly recommend!

Shadow is a total bad ass and Enforcer for the Devil’s Handmaidens MC but underneath it all there is a vulnerability mixed with true strength that Panther sees and is drawn too. Shadow doesn’t always make it easy, the demons from her past that she carries with her make that difficult but he knows what he wants and he wants her so no way is he giving up! I absolutely loved these characters and the truly creative and wonderfully written storyline created by this very talented author. I started this series on book 2 and my enjoyment was not effected in any way as it definitely can be read as a stand alone BUT I enjoyed it so much that I will be reading the first book and the rest of this amazing series as soon as I can!

Wow! This book is dark, violent and graphic. I love it! Thankfully there is a warning before you buy this book. It is NOT a sweet love story. It is dark, violent and graphic. It is not sunshine and rainbows. It is human trafficking, ugly, violent. It is not a take home to your mother type of story, well unless she likes her heroines a little more broken, a lot violent, a little angry and a lot bad as can be.
Shadow is probably the most broken character I have read about. She has had a harder than hard life. She has no one to trust, to love and no reason to live. Until she meets Tink. Tink and her parents give Shadow a reason to live. A reason to even breathe. But she is still broken inside and wants to hide behind her mask and walls.
Ridding the world or at least Montana of human trafficking is Shadow’s job and reason for being. With Tink and the Devil’s Handmaiden MC these women take down one circuit at a time. With the help of others like Noodles and his ex-Navy Seal friends, Tank and his MC, and now Panther and his crew more evil can be put down.
This story is not for the weak or faint of heart. This story has a smoother flow than book 1 and is well worth the sleepless nights. Looking forward to more by this author and about these bad as can be women!
This is a really good story line. The actual writing is not too bad either. The characters are grotesque, violent, dark, with a little bit of sweet and dedication which makes them all absolutely perfect! I love that this MC is all female! I love that the men they work with are strong men who know how to work next to, and even follow, strong women.
I loved the names these characters had for themselves and each other, Tink, Noodles, Shadow, Pops, Tank, Heartbreaker…the names give a little look into the character that you can’t always get from just a description. I love that one person can have more than one name, depending on who they were with, who was in that inner circle, who they trusted and loved the most.
The beginning and part way into the middle of this story was a little slower than I like…a slow burn for sure. The building of relationships, the telling of the story, a glimpse into certain characters’ pasts. The ending is a fast explosion and over quickly. And while happy is the correct term for this ending I can’t think sunshine and rainbow happy, more like happy for now because there is so much evil in the world and Tink and her crew are doing their best to fix that…so yeah, happy for now.
I will read more from this author as I am curious about the other sisters in the MC.

This is the story of Shadow who has had bad luck in her past. She meets Tink who is the President of the Devil’s Handmaidens Motorcycle Club and she takes Shadow in since she doesn’t have any family. Together they are determined to take own the people who hurt Shadow and keep the for hurting others. She is also forming a friendship/relationship with Panther and there relationship may not be conventional but it works for them. Learning to trust people has been so hard for Shadow but she is slowly learning to with Tink and Panther. When they try to take down the people who hurt Shadow, Panther is shocked that they are asking for her. When they are ambushed by the group all hell breaks loose. Will Shadow be able to survive this horrible situation and if she does will she be able to love and trust again. Read this amazing MC book to find out.
This book was just as incredible as the first. But this time we go on an adventure with Shadow. This Female Mc club are an amazing strong bad a** club, the are the most insanely incredible characters. This book and story are so well written that it really makes you feel like you in the book riding along with them. We all have a back story on what made us the person we are and oh man does Shadow have one of those stories. When Shadow and Panther get together, I was super excited that she was able to find someone that would make her happy and excepts everything that Shadow is and hopefully become. Panther is the strong and the time he took to really get to know her, and her story was what Shadow needed to finally let someone in on that level. This book had it all and I honestly couldn’t put it down till I was done. The Danger, action, suspense, love, excitement and all-around thrill of just reading. I will definitely be getting my hands on the rest of these books, such an amazing series that can show how powerful women can be.
This book follows Shadow of Devil’s Handmaidens MC and brings light to the past of her dark childhood. This book feels you with all the emotions for a broken child and to follow her as an adult and having her seek retribution in addition to finding love with Panther. It also gives you the hope that anyone no matter who they are has a soul mate out there waiting for them. This can be read as a stand alone but you can follow along with the motorcycle club by reading additional books in the series

I was all in on the Devil’s Handmaidens after Tink but I wanna learn to ride and move to Montana after Shadow. This book wrecked me. The emotions that were evoked from me by this book were completely unfair. It wasn’t just one emotion, there were mixed emotions in bunches. As Shadow’s history was discussed, I felt anger at the b@sterds that hurt her but compassion for her and those that care about Shadow. I felt Shadow’s pain. The author made it so easy to feel with Shadow as her emotions dripped from the page and soaked your fingers as you read.
Zoey/Shadow has always tried to blend into the background. It was a defense mechanism. If no one could see her, no one could hurt her. Shadow was used to being hurt. She doesn’t remember a time when she wasn’t being hurt. When Zoey was about 12, she was found by Tink, who forced Zoey to be her friend by never giving up on her. Tink has stuck by her ever since. Now someone else is trying to break through Shadow’s carefully crafted walls, well actually two somebodies. Hannah has attached herself to Shadow and isn’t letting go. But the real problem isn’t the annoying little sister, it is him.
Panther has been chasing Zoey for a while now. There is a connection between them he can’t explain. Maybe it is the work, breaking up trafficking rings, that they do together. It could be that she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Panther got a glimpse of that beauty as he watched her face tattoos being applied. Panther thinks that her tattoos only enhance her natural beauty. Panther has asked Shadow to help him out on a big job. This is a ring that he has been tracking for years. When the time comes, the ring leader only wants to deal with Shadow, putting her in danger.
When Shadow is taken, Panther’s team, the Devil’s Handmaidens, Tink’s father’s MC, and a few friends help track Shadow’s whereabouts in attempts to save her. As they search, they discover secrets about Shadow’s past. Will they be able to save her in time? Will all the secrets still left to be discovered be what finally breaks Shadow? You have to read to find out!!
OMFG!!!!! What an emotional ride. I don’t know how you love a book that tortures your soul, but I do. I am deep with this series. No matter how much it hurts, I will read each and every book. These women are more than survivors. They are heroines just trying to give back, even if they have to crack a few heads to do it. I luv all the characters. I luv the over-protective alphas that get put in their place by the pixie-esque women. The realness of this series, of these women, is almost too much. But since they lived it, we can do them (the real women in the world facing these issues everyday) the honor by reading about it, getting angry about it, and doing something to stop trafficking in all forms!! Give me a kutte and the ink, I am in (minus the whole knowing how to ride thingy)!!!!!
This is my first time reading this author. I was amazed. All the aspects of this book made it very enjoyable. The author really knows how to draw you in and keep you wanting more. The characters were well developed and entertaining. I highly recommend this book.
Shadow is the second book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC Series by D. M. Earl. The series follows an all-female motorcycle club, with each book focused on a specific member of the club. Shadow focuses on the club’s enforcer, Zoey. There is such a roller coaster of emotions in this book; from anger, fear, and heartache to shock, sadness, and love. Just like the first book, Earl uses amazing world building to put the reader in the middle of small town life in Timber-Ghost, Montana. I think Shadow could be read as a standalone; however, having the back story from the first book and getting to know the characters already will really make this book flow a lot more quickly. Definitely another winner by D. M. Earl!
This author’s storytelling has me hooked. The character development and banter are unmatched. Here, we dive into Zoey/Shadow’s story, and it is dark. What’s amazing and consistent is those she is surrounded by and their love and concern for her. How she learns to navigate that and grow by the end is wonderful. I would read 100 mire stories about Zoey.
This book I’ve been looking forward to since the first one! Shadow is the tough-as-nails enforcer for the Devil’s Handmaiden’s MC and I am absolutely blown away at how Earl wrote this one. I was on the edge of my seat and in tears at times, but the development of her character in this tale was just so well done. Serious Trigger Warning, but if you want to believe in someone being able to heal and have a life, this is the story.
