This is a new author for me but based on the title and book cover I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t be disappointed. And I was right. This turned out to be a great romantic comedy. I laughed from the beginning chapter right up until the last page. Her characters were so warming and inviting, and she really has a way of writing about family dynamics that if like me, you find yourself wondering if this is your family. I wondered at times of some of this was based on actual real-life events because she did such a beautiful job describing what was going on. I felt like I was watching it all unfold before my very eyes. I can certainly say that she has quite a way with telling stories that made me laugh so hard I cried. I promise that this will not be the last book I read by this author. I look forward to many more.

Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis is a romance filled rom-com with just the right amount of drama. It is very unique compared to other books in this drama because the main character, Ivory, is very flawed which makes her all the more real and likeable.

Ivory is the CEO of a dating company but with no love of her own. When she gets offered publicity, it is brought to her attention that if she doesn’t have a SO, it looks bad. Li, Ivory’s intern, offers to be her fake boyfriend to the public.

Ivory struggles with very low self esteem, stemming from an emotionally abusive father. One element of this book that I really love is watching Ivory grow into her own and battle her flaws head on.

The author uses a lot of food metaphors. I would suggest not reading this book on an empty stomach or you will be drooling and starving by the end of it. I sure was.

This is such a fun story. The author brings us into the story from the start. I know I can identify with Ivory in a lot of ways. I Love the family bond with the culture of the Chinese! Just wait to see Ivory and the relationship with her own father unfold!! I can see this one turned into a movie.

This story was everything that I didn’t know I wanted. I love watching rom-coms and reading YA or supernatural types of novels, but this book was perfect. It was a light read that made me cringe, laugh, and smile with my whole heart.

Ivory Tower is a successful businesswoman who is running her own dating service. She has a not-so-great history with her father and looks down on herself because of this. She is obviously a beautiful soul inside and out, but I think that we can all relate to having someone or something in our lives that makes us feel less than we are. So, what is the big problem? She isn’t dating anyone herself. Network execs want to do an interview with her and her “beau” and she agrees without thinking it through! Thankfully Li-Qiang (our hunk of this story) is an amazing intern and offers to fake a relationship with her – for the sake of the business and her reputation, of course.. This story has everything a wonderful light romance comedy needs: flirty looks, learning to stand up for yourself, a surprise reveal, a nosy family, and a whole bunch of laughter. Ms. Reis did a fantastic job with this story and I look forward to reading more from her! Pick it up. Enjoy the read. You won’t regret it!

I have found yet another great summer beach read in Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis! Not the common romance novel I normally read, but definitely enjoyed the coworkers to lovers storyline. Natalina has written two very relatable characters in Ivory Towers and Li Qiang. This age-gap comedy will have you rooting from the very beginning for the two of them to find happiness with each other. You’ll just have to read to find out if they do! I’m very excited to read other works by this author.

Dating The Intern by Natalina Reis is a brilliant book that will really keep you absolutely enthralled. This is quite a short story but is one that is full of romance and sweetness. This author really does know how to create a brilliant story that pulls readers in and makes you fall in love with the characters.
I don’t normally like books where the male character is younger than the female. I find it normally feels forced and unbelievable and I find myself growing bored of the story. However with this book I was completely sucked into it. I engaged with the characters and I really grew to love them both. The only thing about this book that I found myself cringing at a little was the name “Ivory Tower!”. I thought it was a little cheesy and a bit off putting. However it doesn’t detract at all from the story or from how much I liked Ivory.
This author has really become one of those that I don’t hesitate to pick up her books. Most of the time now I don’t even read the description, I just go in blind and see where it takes me. I have never yet been disappointed. Her books are always well written with fantastic storylines, this been no exception at all! I would highly recommend this book.

This was such a fun read I absolutely loved it. I loved the banter between the characters and I loved that it was such a light hearted read, such a pleasure to read. I have read books by this author previously and I’ve really enjoyed her writing. Ivory was so great to read about and Li Qiang was such a lovely person. I really enjoyed reading about them together. The secondary character sin the story were really good too and definitely added that extra layer to the characters’ lives.
Overall, a really fun and refreshing read and one that I would highly recommend! I can’t wait to read more from this author again!

I absolutely loved Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis. I read this rom-com in just a couple of hours. It was a story of a woman, Ivory Tower, who owns a dating service and due to a journalists insistence, finds herself in a predicament where she states she has a long term love but in fact does not. This leads to Li Qiang, her intern, stepping up to be her fake boyfriend to get past the live TV interview. The story of these two leads us into a love that was meant to be all while adding depth to the characters with the family dynamic that plays out.

This was such a fun rom com to read! I had a blast reading it, and I had more than just a few moments where I laughed as well as smiled. The story and the characters were more than just engaging. And between the two main characters there was more than just them, it was their family as well that greatly impacted who they were in this story!

Ivory is basically someone powerful and successful in her career, but still she longs for the acceptance of her father. Sadly, I think even she knew from the start of the book that earning that respect would be hard to come by in more ways than words can express. Throw in Li Qiang her intern who is younger than her agrees to pretend to be in love with her in hopes to win over her father at long last. He lives in a different world than she does family wise. He seems to always have had the love of her family and when the two individuals get together with his family its sheer bliss and I think Ivory saw this is something she wishes she had all the time. As love stories go, you can only pretend so long before you begin to catch real feelings, but how can you be sure the other is as well? And how do you know when its not just pretend anymore? Matters of the heart do tend to be questionable at times, doesn’t it?

The story was full of so much happy feelings at times and a lot of love as well! The novel was a quick read as I got very much invested in the characters and I kept hoping they would find what they both deserved, but maybe even knew they wanted in life! It was a care free read, and the author gave us as the readers, a fun read, that was more than enjoyable and I surely enjoyed it till it’s final page! Wonderful read!

This is such a cute story! Natalina Reis did such a great job at making the characters engaging and relatable. With a little twist here and there, a story that may have started as predicable became original in a cheeky and lovable way! Descriptions were on point and the flow was perfection! Non-traditional protagonist/antagonist situations makes this story even more original and fun to read.

I absolutely enjoyed this book! I was engaged from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. As a 37 year old woman, there was a lot of relatable ideas to the main character, Ivory. I will say, I am fortunate to not have the confidence demons that she has and I got so frustrated for her trepidation throughout the book.

I liked that the story was light and moved smoothly. The plot kept moving and all of the details were relevant to the story. I would definitely read more books by this author!

I thought this was such an interesting, cute, intriguing, and engaging story. I always like to see if the first line really draws me into a book. That really sets the tone for me. With this story I was not disappointed. From the first line of the book, I was hooked! It was just so good! The rest of the story did not disappoint either, it kept its tone from the very beginning for sure! Natalina Reis is an author to look for in the future. I also loved that the author added a bit of a personal touch at the beginning with a forward, a guide to dating vocabulary and the Mandarin words and phrases used. That was a really nice touch.

Natalina Reis writes in a way she has you feeling for her characters. Her novel Dating the Intern appealed to me in ways I enjoyed, but also brought up memories from a painful past. Don’t let that deter you though, just keep in mind it could be a trigger warning that’s all.
Li Qiang is such a sweet and selfless character who would do anything for his boss, Ivory Tower, since he’s been crushing on her for a long time. A character I grew to love and rooted for as I got deeper into the novel.
Ivory on the other hand drove me crazy, but I feel like that was more on a personal level vs how the character was written. I’m Ivory through and through. I may not be a business owner but that’s the kind of abuse I suffered in my past from my father, which makes it hard to accept love today.
Though a novel about a fictional romance, it made me take a deeper look at myself and how I’ve overcome the same obstacles in my life. I know this review sounds really sad & depressing but it’s not meant to be that way. It’s meant to just describe how Natalina’s novel impacted me emotionally. It’s not very often I get that emotionally invested in a work of fiction, but in the end I LOVED IT!!! If a writer can have you connect to their story in such a way you evaluate how you handled things, doesn’t that make them a GREAT writer.
Was the story a trigger for me, slightly but I’m glad I read it then reflected upon my life. If you’re looking for a story to emotionally impact you in such a way you evaluate life, TRUST ME when I say you NEED to read Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis!

Li Qiang, a much younger intern, offers to pose as her boyfriend. They must then get to know one another and make their fake relationship believable. Book Review: Dating the Intern
Author: Natalina Reis
FOUR STARS
This is a charming fake boyfriend romance that of course has a happy ending. Ms. Reis weaves a wonderful story about a dating service and how Ivy gets selected by a TV station to promote it.
Having been put down and insulted by her Father her entire life, Ivy has self-esteem issues and finds compliments hard to accept and believe. Li Qiang is one of 3 kids and has found himself in love with Ivy. The difficult part is that he is an Intern and she owns the company.
This book is sweet and endearing.

Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis is a romantic comedy for people of all ages that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in love all over again.

Ivory Tower is the successful owner and CEO of an online dating agency that takes delight in finding genuine love for its clientele. Except for herself, everyone. Ivory has a dilemma when a TV studio wants to feature her firm live on television; she can’t find the boyfriend she needs to avoid seeming like a fake. Ivory thinks her problem has been addressed when Li Qiang, her ten-years younger and toe-curlingly beautiful intern, agrees to masquerade as her lover, but getting out of this position will need more than the ideal algorithm. Li Qiang is both easy to love and difficult to forget, and the issue remains whether he truly loves her or is just playing his part.

I loved this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is the first book that I read by this author and I can’t wait to read more.

Dating the Intern by Natalina Reis is a fun RomCom with an age gap element, humour, romance, emotion, and just enough drama to keep things interesting. I always enjoy Ms. Reis’s stories, and this was a particularly fun read. The story is fairly light-hearted and sweet- which proved to be a great palate-cleanser for me after quite a few ‘heavier’ and ‘darker’ reads.
A single matchmaker, a fake relationship, an age gap, wonderful characters, and plenty of giggles makes for a really fun read!

Thank you, Natalina Reis!

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books pull me in from the first word and they are written with a lot of heart. This book is no different. This is a fun romance story that is shorter but it packs a punch. The characters brought the story to life and they are connectable. They made the story engaging and easy to read. I read this book in one sitting as it is that fast paced. The author’s use of details gave the story a realistic feel and I had no problems feeling I was right with the characters. This is a story about Ivory and Li. Their growth and chemistry just adds to the story. Their story is one of love and emotions. What will happen when Li says that he will be Ivory’s pretend boyfriend? This might solve her problem but they may just get more than they expect. I loved them and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book and this author

They have plans for Aiden but all Aiden wants to do is spend some quiet time with his boyfriend. Will Aiden be able to spend quiet time with Nael or will his mother and Baburaj get their way?
