This story only comes up short in length. I wish there was more. My heart was in it the whole time. Poppy is your average nerdy girl who lives next to Turner, the sexy next door neighbor. In the short time it took me to read this book, I couldn’t put it down. I would recommend this book to anybody who wants a quick taste of attraction, lust, and nerdy romance. This would be a book I’d keep on my shelf for whenever I need a quick pick me up.

I really enjoyed this story. Its a really quick read but full of spice and passion. Even though it a short story you get a complete story so nothing is missing. The author does an amazing job with her character. It’s a relatable situation of the hot guy who ever woman wants and the geeky girl who thinks no one would want her.

The feelings from Poppy are so raw. You can really feel her fear and anxiety about her feelings for Turner and how she is going to progress with them in this state of constant anxiety.
Turner is totally in love and wants to do everything in his power to prove to Poppy she is everything he wants. All she has to do is trust and let him. However that isn’t as easy   as it sounds.

Sex On Fire by Ashley Bostock was a very quick read. I honestly expected it to be a little more steamy, but for how short it was I was very impressed with the story. Less is more indeed. It was very quick and to the point, and interesting. It was also interesting to have a female lead interested and in the business of video games as that is usually a male dominated area. So I really enjoyed that small aspect. If you’re looking for a quick happy ever after story this is the book for you. I can’t want to read the next installment in this series.

Sex on Fire (Naughty Neighbor Book 1) by Ashley Bostock is a sexy 1st installment to the Naughty Neighbor series and can easily be read in one sitting, I know I did. Have you ever wondered what happens when two neighbors are attracted to each other? Well I won’t ruin it for you you’ll have to read all of the fun and sexy details for yourself. Ms. Bostock gives us fun and sexy characters, with an equally as fun and sexy story and this series is shaping up to be one of my favorite from Ms. Bostock. While this installment ended nicely I personally can’t wait to see what Ms. Bostock gives us next.

Sex on Fire: A Quickie Read (Naughty Neighbor Book 1)Sex on Fire: A Quickie Read by Ashley Bostock
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first read by this author, who certainly knew how to use words and how to play upon getting the readers eye and mind with characteristics, the characters looks, down to the undeniable chemistry between Poppy and Turner

I loved Poppy so freaking much. She reminded me of myself, a geek and dress attire was something I would totally do. And having a neighbor as hot as Turner…she certainly had a strong will as far as she made it I must say.

The scenes where they first talked before the BBQ, seriously the chemistry was leaping off the page and I wanted them just to give in so very much. The author knew what she was doing, she wanted us as the readers to wait in anticipation because we all knew it would be worth the wait in the end! And oh heck yes it was!

As the story progressed and the events that made Poppy insecure were also what bought them together knowing they had the real deal in the end. And lets not deny the amazing fun in the bedroom. They were both so likeable characters and both put on show that was steamy and I personally think all of us who read this book were left with our tails wagging.

Loved it. It was a short and hot read with lots of steam and feeling a little bit warm in here moments. I loved this first book in the series. I can not wait truly for the next one in the series. This is a great read to go at and read before bed especially if you have some time to yourself

And it wasn’t just the sexy aspects of the book I loved the two love interests and how well they meshed together. Truly enjoyed this book for everything it was 🙂

Sex On Fire: A Quickie Read is the first book in the Naughty Neighbor Series by Ashley Bostock. I love this book with its quirky characters. It only took about twenty minutes to read, short books with hot guys and sexy girls (not that Poppy knows it) are really nice after a long day at work. This book has just the right amount of sweetness and sexiness to lift my mood. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!

Sex on Fire: A Quickie Read (Naughty Neighbor Book 1) by Ashley Bostock does live up to its name.
It is a very quick read.

Poppy is very shy and Turner is her very attractive neighbor. She keeps an eye on his comings and goings but isn’t brave enough to make the first move. Turner only has eyes for Poppy and wants to make her see that he only wants her. But some embarrassments are hard to overcome. Like setting a fence on fire.

I thought it was a cute, fun read.
Personally, I would have liked a little more character development, but for a very short read, it was well written.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Ben saw Jazzy he had an instant attraction but with her crass and stroppy attitude, can he try and break the outer shell of her heart and help her recover.

Ben is an all round good guy and being a jock and hot is always in the limelight, but when he sees Jazzy he instantly has an attraction that won’t go away, the only problem is that she is a bitter, twist girl but can he try and uncover why she is so broken and try to heal her.

Jazzy has a past which she would rather forget but this has imprinted on her attitude and would rather push the boundaries rather than keep within them, but when she meets Ben he is the only person who has tried to help her but can she let him in or be allowed to love again.

I loved the story and the characters which are developed within this book. The story is hard hitting and delves into subjects which are not comfortable to read, but Stephanie writes with such passion and delicate that you at times feel sorry for Jazzy but with her attitude you could hit her aswell.

The character of Ben is lovely and although these two characters are different but still complement each other brilliantly. I can wait to read the next book in this series.

Nothing like a hot, steamy lunchtime read! Ashley Bostock has captured that! This is one quickie you should not pass up!!

Poppy is an introvert to the core. Poppy has developed a crush on her neighbor, Turner, but he is not only a social butterfly, he seems to have a revolving front door. Turner hates all the attention from the women in the neighborhood. He has it bad for the one woman that is determined to be his friend, Poppy. When Turner finally convinces Poppy to emerge from her shell, it is a flaming disaster. Can he find a way to make Poppy see that he wants only her and doesn’t care about what happened?

This delightful, short read will have you returning to your desk, your family, your life in just a few minutes. Everyone deserves to have this break! I finally don’t feel guilty for reading at my desk. Keep these quickies coming!!

Sex on Fire by Ashley Bostock a fun and fiery five-star read. This was super short but packs enough of a punch that you know you have read and enjoyed a great story, I can’t wait to hear more about the naughty neighbours. Turner was so much more than I imagined him to be, and Poppy was some one I could understand deep in my heart. This is ideal if you just want something short and sweet, with enough heat to warm.

Bad Man on Campus, the third book in the Big Men on Campus series by Stephanie Queen is a second chance romance you don’t want to miss. Kace and Glory were high school sweethearts before a tragic event made them lose touch. Years later, they meet back up in college and let the emotional rollercoaster begin. Trust me you will feel every emotion and your heart will break for these two. I’m not a huge new adult/college romance reader, but this story left an impression on me.

Confronting and real
This is a second chance romance novel and the third in a series. It does not run along the same lines as other second chance novels I have read. It has a raw edge to it as Glory faces the demons of her past and Kace tries to stand by her side. The author has interwoven a very confronting issue throughout the story extremely well and I was vested from start to finish. A brilliant addition to the series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bad Man On Campus is the 3rd book in the Big Men On Campus series by Stephanie Queen. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone. I had not read the previous two books in this series and did not feel as if I was missing any vital information to help me m enjoy this book. I have read this author’s work before and thoroughly enjoyed the Playing Series so was looking forward to reading more of her work. This book was a great choice as I really enjoyed it. I do like reading a book set in college/university and this is a great example of that.
This is a great second chance romance that got my emotions going. Glory has been through a very hard few years having lost her best friend in a car crash and she’s still struggling. She’s now about to start college where her ex boyfriend, Kace, the brother of her best friend also attends.
As much as my heart broke so much for Glory many times, she also exasperated me. I wanted to shake some sense into her and make her realise the damage she was doing to herself and how this was affecting Kace. I adored Kace and loved how he would do anything for Glory and was willing to risk all to keep her safe.
This is a great book and I’d definitely recommend it to other readers.

Glory Rose has become a different person over the last three years. A traumatic accident brought an end to the happy girl that was in love with her high school sweetheart…and has changed her into a person that is damaged and uses alcohol as a coping mechanism. As she is getting ready to finally head off to SPU, she gets wind that Kace is back in town. She is determined to see him before they are both at the same school. Even through their shared traumatic past…there is still a spark…and they are going to see where it leads.

Once on campus, though…things start off bad and just get worse. As they try to see who they are after three years, there are situations that are testing if they will be able to actually make it work. While Glory Rose needs to get herself in order, she is also trying to make sure that Kace doesn’t throw his own future away for her. The cards are definitely stacked against them…so are they strong enough to stay solid?

This book is so much more than a second-chance sports romance. It is about two people who have to face the past and heal in order to move forward. While Glory Rose tended to stand in her own way more than once…she seemed to mature and start growing by the end of the book. I understand Kace’s need to protect her…and that led to his own kind of healing. Overall, I enjoyed the story.

This is the 3rd book in the Bad Man on Campus Series. This is ok to read as a standalone alone which is what I have done.I found this story really sad and heartbreaking at times. But a good story through all the pain.
The author does a good job with the characters.
Glory has had a really hard time in her life. With an incident that happened in her past it sent her on a downward spiral, and when the love of her life left that was when she turned to drink to cope.

3 years later she is on the road to recovery from the trauma and also her alcoholism. Things are better and when Kace arrives back in her life this could be their second chance.

Kace  left to deal with his own problems and his need for distance from everyone he knows to move forward. Now after a successful time as a hockey champion he has returned to get back the woman he loves. However time has changed and Kace’s reputation as player means that the couple will have a lot of hills to overcome if they are going to be together. Hills and obstacles put in their way from the past and the present.
Are Kace  and Glory strong enough this time around to get through them and revive their love. Or will too much have happened and things not been forgive will that eventually tear them apart.

Untouched (The Cadence Duet Book One) AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

I loved this story of Cadence and Fitz…. At first Cadence gives Fitz a run for his money when it comes to jobs at Camp Riley during one summer. Little did she know it did not take much for her to fall for him. Fitz, a son of a wealthy politician, really stole my heart strings. When Cadence really gets to know Fitz and about his back story growing up, you cannot help but love his character. Fitz knows after his summer is over spent at the camp, he has to go back to his father to Washington DC… will their summer romance survive….. listen and find out… cannot wait until I listen to book 2. I really enjoy Author Dakota Willink’s books..and this is definitely 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 listen!

Untouched (The Cadence Duet Book One) AUDIO BOOK by Dakota Willink – Review by Kerry Baker

Cadence Untouched Audio Book by Dakota Willink is the first book in the Cadence Duet. This is a book that defines a sweet summer romance in one breath and then in the next hits you fully with all the emotion. As this story built up I found myself falling more in love with Cadence and Fitz. Although on the face of it they are so completely different they should have never worked in reality they seemed made for each other. The author did a great job of creating that connection between them.

I knew from how the book started that I was in for an emotional ride and that is exactly what happened. I was swept away by the book and enjoyed every part of it. I cannot wait to see what happens next in part two.

This is the first book in the Cadence Duet series.  This is an audio book and is just under 6 hours of listening time.  This is written by Dakota Willink and narrated by Zachary Webber and Lacy Laurel.  This story follows Cadence and Fitz.  They meet at Camp Riley, and while Fitz is somewhat of a bad boy, she should have walked away, but there was just something about him.  Fitz was set to go back to D.C. after the summer, but how can he knowing this is turning into much more than a summer fling.

Untouched was a really lovely audio book to listen to, I really enjoyed the story and the narrators really brought the story to life. It was a great listen, not overly long – just right. There were some very unexpected twists and turns in the story too and I cannot wait to listen to the second book in the duet. I loved Cadence and Fitz, really great characters in the story. I definitely felt to innocence of Candence in the story – the author really managed to capture that well. I’ve listened to a few audio books now and I think this one probably had the best narrators, I really felt like they understood the characters well and that definitely came across.

I am really looking forward to more from this author and definitely the next book in the duet to see where this story will go.

I would definitely recommend this audio book to other listeners!

This was a super quick read! I would have liked to see a little more development prior to them getting together. There was, however, a fair amount of story within the short amount of pages. I appreciated the glimpse of character development that alluded to Poppy being an introverted person realizing that a relationship with Turner will encourage her to come out of her comfort zone. I would like to see a continuation of this and see where their journey progresses.

This second chance romance was my first read by Stephanie Queen and it was a great introduction. As this was the third book of the series, I can honestly say that it can be read as a standalone as I had no problem jumping in with book 3.

This story follows Kace and Glory, two broken characters with an emotional past. The author did a great job in conveying those emotions and tension, as the reader I felt as if I could feel those emotions through the pages. It was heavy, unpredictable, heart breaking, and complex.

I enjoyed how this wasn’t your typical romance read, it was a nice change! I hope to read more about these characters in the future!

This is a fantastic second chance romance that really draws on the emotion of the two characters. I found that this wasn’t the typical sports romance that I thought it was going to be and it really took me by surprise. I always enjoy this authors work but this book for me was easily my favourite. This book sucked me in from the beginning. The storyline was absolutely amazing. Heartbreaking tragedy that rips at your heart from the start. Your emotions start with some definite feelers. As they get back together, there are just so many little issues to work through that threaten to tear them apart. I did have to wonder how a grown man couldn’t stand up to his family for the love of his life. Could the love of his life remain the love of his life? Tears of sadness, joy and feelings of anger for Mad. The characters were very well written. I will need to find more on Dooley as he actually turned into my favorite because he turned into a side character that played an integral role. The ending surprised me. I thought it would turn out different but I am glad that they both seemed to mature from that situation. Definitely a must read.
