Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders by Kara Liane, K.L. Montgomery, Harlow Layne, Amanda Siegrist, A.K. MacBride, Jody Kaye, Syd Ryan, Alyne Hart, Kelsey Cheyenne, Larissa Gail was definitely a hot read! I would give these set a five out of five stars! I loved the variety of first responders and the different plots. I definitely shed a few tears while reading some of these stories. They may be a steamy hot read but there is more to it. I found myself unable to look away from the world that these wonderful authors built for me.

This anthology features ten stories by ten authors who bring us stories revolving around the love lives of first responders. Each story features a couple that deals with the drama of everyday life on top of the requirements of their jobs. Each story was well written, and I found myself falling in love with the characters throughout the book. Two of my favorite stories were Reconstructed Heart by K.L. Montgomery and Romance on the Rig by Kaira Lane.
Reconstructed Heart tells the story of Trey Prince, a member of the Collision Reconstruction Unit, called to scene of an accident where he finds himself personally invested in figuring out what happens. Jenna Labato is an officer that responds to the initial scene and tries to help Trey heal as he deals with the aftermath of the accident. Jenna is a strong character that balances Trey as he is falling apart. This story shows the human side of officers that deal with horrific situations on a daily basis. I found myself fully invested in their story and rooting for them.
Romance on the Rig focuses on Lana Royce and Sean “Murf” Murphy. Lana lives with her sister and helps take care of her niece and nephew. Murf is an EMT that has been burned in the past when it comes to his love life. From the beginning, there are misconceived notions and misunderstandings between Lana and Murf that may derail this relationship before it ever starts. Lana is so giving to those around here and Murf wants to be the guy to give her everything she needs, if he could just get out of his own way.
I enjoyed reading each of the stories in this anthology and will be looking forward to reading future books from each of the authors.

Love & Omens (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen was fun paranormal romance to read. I would give this book five out of five stars. This is the second book in the series, can be perfectly stand alone. I did read the first one and loved the encounters with Sydney so when I saw this was her story I got excited. Sydney is definitely a spit fire, she dances to the beat of her own drum, and I loved every second of this book. I did enjoy Blake’s character as well, he was well rounded and definitely a dreamy read. I loved the plot and twists and turns that presented themselves. There were definitely times where I wished I could jump in and tie all the pieces together for the characters. I was easily captivated and fell in love with New Orleans more than I already was. There is just a way that the city and characters are written that the city comes alive in the pages.
Not a Good Death is the second book in the Agents of Dart Series by Naomi Bellina. Naomi Bellina has a talent to grab the reader from the first page to the last page. It is a mystery and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot line has many twists and turns. The characters are complex and relatable. The story brings the question of can two people who are involved can work together. Lillian and Dillion is a couple who work together and are involved romantically. Will these partners prove that you can work and be involved? Read this story to the end to find out the answer to this question and more.

Sarah Smiles By: Sean-Paul Thomas 5 out of 5 stars
The story Sarah Smiles by Sean-Paul Thomas is a YA/Coming of age book. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. This is a book that takes you on a journey with the characters and I couldn’t help but grow to care about many of them with each chapter that I read. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Liam and Sarah. Liam is a teenager who has just started another school. It is here that he meets Michael, the school bully. Sarah is a young girl who seems to have spellbound Liam. He finds himself calling her a friend. Liam and Sarah’s days are filled with different adventures. Many are positive, others have them confiding in each other their fears. What does the future hold for both Liam and Sarah? How long will their adventures last? Read this book to find out. This was a story that has heartbreaking moments and others when you want to cheer for Liam and Sarah. The situations that they deal with while living in an adult world will have you feeling empathy for them. There are also other characters that you are introduced to and some are helpful, while others only think about themselves. This is a book that I enjoyed reading and one that touched my heart. I highly recommend reading it.

Wynne hits it out of the park with this one. I LOVE historical romance. When you throw in a rogue and an innocent and sprinkle it with Regency… I’m done for. And this book certainly lived up to all of my expectations. A classic storyline that doesn’t feel trite or over-told, I found it simply wonderful, rich with imagery and emotion. Loved every page and look forward to reading it again very soon!

What a wonderful collection of winter time stories! There is definitely something for everybody in this anthology – from paranormal to sweet romance. One of the stories I particularly enjoyed was Poinsettias for Carly by Michele Sims. I enjoy second chance romances so this one was always going to be a great story for me and throw in Christmas time and it ticks every box! Although this was a short story it wasn’t lacking in anything at all – it was well written with characters that were developed nicely. I loved Carly! I thought that she was a great character. She’s been through some tough times but she absolutely stands up for what she believes in! Even if that means standing up to the man who she shares a past with! This really was a lovely story and well worth a read from this anthology!

Risking Everything A Steamy Anthology Of First Responders By Kara Laine + 4 more ☆☆☆☆☆ One hot steaming hero coming up. In this Anthology!
My review is on Walk The Line By Harlow Layne
Gage Walker is one of the men in blue. He is a twin and very close to his family. One night on a call, he finds himself down a cliff helping to keep Claire Blake alert and talking. While the responders cut her out of her car. He has no clue what it is about this woman, but he intends to find out. Read this story to find out if they have a HEA.
Harlow Layne is a new author for me. But after reading this fast page turning story. She has become amongst my favorites. Her story is steamy, hot and well written. You will find romance as well as suspense. My two favorite components in in most romances I love to read. Gage and Claire are just right for this book as well. I will be reading more from Harlow Layne!

Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders is a charity anthology, with all proceeds going to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. So, not only do you get ten superb stories from ten talented authors when you purchase Risking Everything, but you will also be helping out a very worthy charity in the process. All the stories focus on the theme of ‘first responders’ from Firefighters, to Police Officers, EMT’s to Collision Investigators, and dedicated Emergency Dispatcher- are just a few of the many first responders who play a part in this fantastic book. We get to see these everyday heroes as ‘real people’ with real issues and emotions. We get to look behind their professional mask, to the person behind the ‘job’. I really thought the authors did a great job of showing their characters vulnerabilities, quirks, and flaws. It made them all quite ‘real’, and entirely believable. It also made for some emotive reading which tugged at my heartstrings. There is s define spicy element to the anthology too, which will keep you warm while you are reading. So, what are you waiting for? Grab yourself a copy and dive in. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Loving Jake written by Lisa Lanay is the first installment in the Almost Perfect series. I decided to read this book on a whim because it seemed like one that I would enjoy… I was correct. This was a short and sweet book that I highly liked! The writing in this book is flawless and paired with the perfect character descriptions and catchy story line, it was hard to put down. The characters in this book were likable as well as being easy to relate to. This story is more than the simple “two people meet and fall in love” because Jake and Kimberly have known each other most of their lives. Throughout this whole story I was on the back and forth of “man ya’ll need to get it together” and “no, don’t do that”. It was frustrating at times with some decisions that were being made but in all honesty I can see why things were the characters were making those awful decisions. Things finally fall in to place and IT WAS PERFECT! The ending of the book is the sweetest thing ever. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!

Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders. This was an anthology with ten amazing stories written by some of my favorite authors and also some that I haven’t read before. One of my absolute favorite authors, KL. Montgomery’s Reconstructed Heart was a great read. Trey is called to the scene of an accident and is met with some heart wrenching news. This story had me ugly crying at times but then mended my heart right back up. Ms. Montgomery has a way of tearing our hearts out and fixing them just as easily. This is definitely a must read!!

The Hazed Boxed Set by Brittany Tarkington. This is a new to me author and I absolutely loved this set of books!!!! There was definitely a lot of emotions going on, at times dark and full of emotional ups and downs. You will deal with addiction and obsession while going through this journey with Taylor and Hayze. Jump in and find out if their relationship will continue or not!!! I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did!! and I can not wait for more.

Alice Will: Dreams of Chaos, Book 1, by Ashley Chappell is an awesome book. I’m almost at a loss for words to describe the complete ecstasy I’ve had reading this book. If I could give this book 10 Stars I would. The world that Ashley Chappell builds for us in this story is remarkable. The language is like butter. The characters are all striking and so unforgettable. Trotter who is our heroine in this story, you will bond with this young girl and the way that Ms. Chappelle writes you will feel what Trotter feels, you will be Trotter. Love and risk and sacrifice it’s all here. You need to make sure you’ve done everything you need to do because once you get to the middle of the book you won’t do anything else till you finish.

Mommie Dearest By: Christina Crawford 5 out of 5 stars
The story Mommie Dearest by Christina Crawford is a biography. It tells the story of a daughter whose only wish in life is to be loved and gain the acceptance of her mother Joan Crawford. It is also a book that sheds light on the abuse that she received. The story is heartbreaking and at times had me angry with situations that occurred. It is also a story of survival and of the strength of character that Christina showed throughout her life. The book gives details about Hollywood and the different roles that Joan Crawford played as well as how alcohol was a major part of her life. I found my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading this story and I found Christina to be someone what I had empathy for. Even with her home life in chaos, Christina was a someone who excelled in all that she did. This is a story that kept me up far into the night as I just couldn’t put it down until I had finished the final page. This is a biography that touched me deeply. I highly recommend reading it.

The story THE HUSBANDS by T.J. Brearton is a book that I loved reading. It pulled me in right from the beginning and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. It is a heart-pounding thrill ride that just won’t let go. I loved reading about the character of Kelly Roth. She is an FBI profiler who has returned home in order to help local police find a killer. The killer is intelligent and always seems to be one step ahead. Kelly has to use all of her skills in order to outsmart the killer and justice to prevail. Will she find the killer? Is the killer playing a twisted game by contacting the husbands in their time of grief? Read this book to find out. This story is thrilling, mysterious, and had me on the edge of my seat. There are scenes that are intense. I found myself caring about Kelly with each chapter that I read. I wanted her to succeed in her investigation. Kelly is determined, intelligent, and excellent at her job. She uses her instincts and is a wonderful profiler. She is also one that takes a chance when she needs to. There are many other characters that are introduced that I enjoyed reading about, They help Kelly. Then there are those who seem to have their own agenda. There are secrets uncovered and no stone goes unturned. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you reading far into the night in order to finish the last page. Highly recommended reading.

Not a Good Death is a novel by by Naomi Bellina. This is my first novel by this author.
Lily Blume and Dillon Hurst are partners and working together together for an assignment. Things changed when their assignment runs off after attacking them and a girl is found dead.
With Lily in danger it’s hard to keep personal life away from work.
This was an amazing story. Lily and Dillion are more than just work partners and letting your feelings get in the way can cause someone to get hurt if the killer strikes again.
With a good mystery and storyline, I highly recommend this.

I was hooked from the first few pages and I didn’t out this down until it was finished. The suspense kept me turning those pages and the sexy factor kept my eyelids open.
This is just a perfect story. First off I love jungle themes. Anything can and will happen there. Secondly I liked Kinley Dunn from the get go. She is smart and quick witted. The meeting between the two characters was a great way to introduce them. It was quick and showed the domineering side of Shane. He gets what he wants! Lastly The intro of Ace and Phantom was nicely done. The author wrote then well. I see the dangerous, I see the humorous And I see the protectiveness in them.
This is a dangerous story filled with protectiveness and love from the characters. This isn’t my first book by this author. I love how she writes and brings feeling to her characters. She did a great job with the spin off and i look forward to more from this new series.

IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS (Irresistible Romance Book 2) an Anthology is full of some of the great writers I have read before but I have also found myself some newbies as I was so impressed with their stories. Each story is different but each one evolves around Christmas. Some are sweet, some are fun and some are funny and some pull at your emotions and make you cry but they all involve romance in various degrees. This is a wonderful collaboration of works coming together to give us a most pleasurable read.
Two Hearts’ Christmas Gift by Tamara Ferguson is just great. I love her wounded warrior series and spin offs etc. Great read. A story of waiting for the right time for love to reconnect with the love of your life and settle in to the love and life you have wanted since a first kiss in a magical place. Gifts Of Love by Natalie Ann is a lovely story of a man who has everything but someone by his side. Can he show her that he is more than his money? Will she get over her past hurt to let him in?
Charlie Saint by Suzanne Jenkins is a story about a man who almost loses his life and the woman who chooses to stick around but she needs to let go of a painful past in order to truly open her heart. Beautiful story.
Home For Christmas by Cynthia Cooke is a lovely but painful read where Melanie returns to Pineville to renovate her old home and face old memories. If only the contractor was not the one person she has believed responsible for turning her world upside down.
Keep Me Warm by Alicia Street tells the heart-warming story of a small-town girl who suddenly finds herself in love with the enemies. Can they really be in love? Will they truly turn it around to become the one/
Miss Christmas by Stephanie Queen is a fun story of Scarlet who scraps by on the best days and decides she wants to become the next Miss Christmas pageant. When a stranger walks into her life she can’t believe her luck but is she willing to give him all her heart. He decides that she is not the one for him, no matter what his heart says. Will he let go and realise just how good they can be together?
Christmas Con by Rachelle Ayala, tells the sad story of two people who have just met but become a lie to keep a grandfather happy for what will be his last Christmas. Bring the tissues.
Courage To Celebrate by Taylor Lee this is also a sad tale but also one of something precious out of so much torment. Luke and Ava are dealing with the loss of several people in their community and now their hope and dreams has decided to come about a little earlier than they thought.
Christmas Wish by Patrice Wilton is a wonderful story of a man who loves them and leaves them and apparently has foot and mouth disease when he is in the same place as Meghan the new woman in town. Meghan has just moved towns to be closer to the special school her young son needs but when faced with the man upstairs she begins to wonder if she needs some her time and whether or not it could be more. But she can’t be a one night stand and is he willing to have more? This one made me laugh as well.
I love reading anthologies because you get a number of books in one shot and who doesn’t love stories about love, hot men and adorable women and Christmas!!
Not a Good Death: Agents of Dart Series Book Two (Romantic Suspense) by Naomi Bellina is a story full of danger and mayhem, mystery and murder and thrills. I loved the MC’s and their journey as they get pulled into a mission that doesn’t go to plan. I have not read anything from Naomi before and I enjoyed it so much I am going back to get my hands on the first book. Whilst I didn’t read the first book I enjoyed this one but I kept wondering what came before throughout the story.
DART Agents Lily Brume and Dillion Hurst are not only lovers but they are also now on their first official mission together. Whilst Lily has been in the job for a few years, Dillion has only recently joined having served in the military. What is supposed to be a simple retrieval turns in to something more sinister. Can they continue to be partners in life and work and make it work or will the stress pull them a part?
This captivating and enthralling read makes me eager for what is to come.

Vampire State by Alexander Charalambides was a unique take on vampires. This is my first book by this author. I feel like he did a good job with his characters. Rowena I feel like was very dedicated to her survival and family. I also found her to be very interesting and can’t imagine myself what choice I would make with what she is given. The beginning was a bit slow but I feel it speeds up the deeper you get in. Overall it was a good story. I would rate 4 stars.

I am a huge fan of ghost hunting shows so I couldn’t wait to read Love & Omens, book 2 in the Crescent City Ghost Tours series by author Carrie Pulkinen. I was not disappointed at all, this book was right up my alley. I did not read the first book in this series and I had absolutely no problem following along as each book is about a different couple. Sydney Park is a tour guide with Crescent City tours who gets premonitions making her the perfect guide. She considers her gift a curse, so when she has a vision of a funeral she automatically fears the worst especially when her college sweetheart enters the picture after 8 years with his own agenda. Who does Sydney’s vision concern? Is her former flame the one she is meant to be with? Read the book and find out! You won’t regret it!

Autumn Sand is a go-to author of mine so whenever a new book comes along, its a no brainer for this to be read! Once again she continues to show what an incredible author she is. She creates a read that has a captivating storyline that you can’t help but get invested in, but also create characters that you can’t help but love and enjoy following their journey and hope they get a HEA. This book is no different and I loved it from start to finish and didn’t want it to end. For this being s novella, it didn’t feel rushed and wasn’t lacking in storyline, emotions or content.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole read! Great read again Autumn Sand cannot wait for more!

Love & Omens by Carrie Pulkinen is the second book in the Crescent City Ghost Tours series. After reading the first book I knew roughly what to expect from this book however I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I really found myself connecting with these 2 characters. From the moment I started reading about them it felt like I was sharing their journey with them. Their abilities felt so different from each other and yet at the same time completely relatable to the other. The story was well developed and interesting. More than once I found myself reading quicker and quicker because I wanted to read more of it. While I enjoyed the first book I have to say this one definitely stole the show for me. I am so excited to see what else is to come from this series!
Testament of Feats Book of Judgement by K. H. Jones 4 Stars!!!! I am totally lost for words. This is the first book by this author that I have read and I must say I was not let down. This is out of my preferred genre and I really got lost in the book. I do like fantasy and this book totally drew me in and had me hooked. I really like how that author creates the book world.
Following Scream’s journey is very captivating. I felt as though I was right along side him as the adventure advanced along. I really liked the whole fantasy supernatural setting of the world and the creatures within it. I like how the author creates the world around the story and how the past is entwined into it. I also like how the world even though fantasy can be related to the real world. I very much look forward to reading more from this author and series as I am eager to see how things unfold. This book is a really great read and I love that I was glued to the pages and was able to delve into a fantasy world and be taken away for a few hours and escape to a fantasy world.

What an Irresistible read this anthology turned out to be. Everyone knows I love a great anthology, and I am a real sucker for Christmas stories- so it’s a given that I will be diving in, especially so when I find one that combines the two. It had won me over as soon as I saw who the authors were- and they certainly didn’t disappoint. This book was every bit as good as I had imagined it would be, and then some. Irresistible At Christmas (Irresistible Romance Book Two) is a collection of wonderful stories from nine very talented authors. The authors all have different styles and takes on the theme- which is Christmas/ holiday romance. Each story is unique and quite individual to their author- but all manage to complement one another as well. There are a variety of stories- all engrossing from beginning to end. From wounded warrior, sweet romance, enemies to lovers, 2nd chances, suspense, danger, and much more. Where we meet a variety of leading characters, who bring their stories to life. This is definitely one of the better anthologies that I have read this year, and one of the better Christmas Anthologies full stop. All the stories are well written, very captivating, and well-rounded. What better way to spend a day than curled up with a book that will delight you and leave you feeling good.
The Anthology contains:
-Two Hearts Christmas Gift By: Tamara Ferguson -Gifts Of Love By: Natalie Ann -Charlie Saint: The Saints of San Diego By: Suzanne Jenkins -Home For Christmas By: Cynthia Cooke -Keep Me Warm By: Alicia Street -Miss Christmas By: Stephanie Queen Christmas Con By: Rachelle Ayala -The Courage to Celebrate By: Taylor Lee -Christmas Wish By: Patrice Wilson
So, settle down for some wonderful reading, which will entice you with heartfelt romance, emotion, some suspense, a bit of danger, a little mystery, drama, sizzle, and much more. There is something here for everyone! I really do recommend this Anthology- it is worth every cent of the purchase price- nine books for the price of one. #Win-Win! Happy Reading!
This is the first book I have read by this author so I had no idea what to expect. I found this book to be a bit dense. In other words, this isn’t something you can pick up to read on a 30-minute lunch break. There is a lot to unpack so you want to take your time to absorb it. It definitely isn’t your typical Fantasy novel. I’d say it has a LOTR feel in the attention to detail and sense of adventure.
The world building in this book is excellent. You feel like you are in the story with the characters. And the characters have a lot of depth to explore. My advice is to take your time with this story so you can fully appreciate the artistry of the work. You aren’t going to want to put it down. EPIC READ!

Love & Omens is the second book in Carrie Pulkinen’s Crescent City Ghost Tours where she gives a next romantic paranormal story in the city of magic (well, at least I think that NOLA is the city of magic!). The story takes us on a rollercoaster ride that has chills running down your spine! Sidney and Blake are a couple that seem a match made in heaven – Sidney can see the future and Blake can read the past so you would think that they have it covered! Be prepared for the story that leaves you breathless, it goes so fast that you feel like you got a whiplash and you feel like heck, what happened now! Add to it the Mardi Gras atmosphere and the history the two have and you will be swept away while keeping your fingers crossed that these two make it! In addition to Sidney and Blake there is a number of other characters that I hope the writer will bring back in the next story (as we met Sidney in the first book series and she became the heroine of the second one)! So welcome to the Crescent City and the Ghost Tours!

Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson was a fun second chance romantic read. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I found the story well written and the holiday time frame made it super emotional. This was a quick read and definitely got me in love your family mood. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I was happy with the ending and cannot wait for more!
