Irresistible At Christmas was an excellent collection of romantic Christmas stories and I could not put it down. I loved how well the authors did with the development and characters of each story. Hunky men and steamy scenes make this a great collection to read by the fire with a cup of coffee. I found myself lost in these stories. Each one was easy to read. I also loved how organized it was. I highly recommend this collection.

Summer Break: A Joe Football Novella by Autumn Sand

5 Stars

Reading this quick gem has made me want to go back and reread the first book. I love these characters and this story although quite short was jam packed full of vintage Autumn Sand, who couldn’t move up much further on my favorites list.

When all they wanted to do was have an awesome summer break, you just know that there’s a lot more to come than cupcakes and rainbows lol secrets and relationships tested. I loved it and can’t recommend it high enough!

Read Joe Football before this one, which is what I’m going back to do so I’m all ready for the next in this series…I can not wait!

IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS (Irresistible Romance Book 2)IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible at Christmas (Irresistible Romance book #2) is a beautiful anthology filled with stories by some of my favourite writers! I love anthologies as they give me an opportunity to discover new writers while delving deeper into the worlds by the writers I already love and admire.
My number one in this anthology is Two Hearts’ Christmas Gift by Tamara Ferguson! I have read every single story she has written and whenever I see that she has released something new, I jump on them and I absolutely loved her new addition to her wounded warrior series. It was a pure pleasure to be back in Crystal Rock and Dragon Pointe for a magical Christmas and if you have not read any of Tamara’s books before then this is a beautiful introduction into her world!
Another one of my favourite writers is Stephanie Queen and it was a great fun to read about Scarlet who decided to become the next Miss Christmas while falling in love with a stranger who for some reason is stubborn and thinks that Scarlet is not the one for him even though deep down he knows better!
Natalie Ann is another writer who I found in another collection and I loved her short story Gifts of Love. If you like stories about self-made millionaires and money not making one happy … add to it a woman who has been hurt too many times before and you have a story that will bring you into Natalie’s world.
I had also read Alicia Street’s books before so I knew that there might be something good in store for me and she did not disappoint! She gave us a well written piece of from enemies to lovers! Add to it a small town and you can close your eyes and just picture it!
If you feel that you want to celebrate the season with some season appropriate reading then this collection hits the spot!

Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Liz Vrchota

Hula GirlHula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lara Ward Cosio really hit this one straight to the home run. I absolutely loved everything about Hula Girl. That cover is bold and gorgeous drawing you in before you even know what it would be about. I loved that I wanted to read this before I even got to the nitty gritty. Then I found out that this book includes a lot of legal and lawyers stuff, a genre that I am partial to having wanted to always be a lawyer myself. I just connected with this fun and witty romance in every way possible.

We got to follow Ava on her hot sexy beach vacation and then we got to see how fate had her love life planned out well before she even knew what hit her. I loved the way this book didn’t fall into a predictable pattern. I had a blast seeing each twist and turn as they played out and when we get to that picture perfect ending it just really brings the book to a perfect close. I am anxious to reread this one it was that good! Can’t wait to see what else will come from the talented mind of Lara Ward Cosio!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Autumn Sand has outdone herself with this Joe Football Novella, Summer Break. The cover alone makes you want to read the book especially when I figured out it belonged to Autumn Sand and her Joe Football series. I would recommend that you read the first book in the series before diving into this one as it is a continuation of Brick and Favor’s story. It has our favorite characters experiencing summer break and all that it brings them. Of course we will get a small underlying message much like all the other books I have had the pleasure of reading by Autumn Sand prior to this. I loved that it was just spicy enough for me and I would still feel comfortable letting my teen read it. I loved the secrets and all that it did for the storyline. They were not done in a cliche way either so bonus! I can’t wait to see what we will get next for these characters and more from Autumn Sand!

Lost in CarmelLost in Carmel by Terri Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Every now and then I find myself lost in a novel that completely takes my breath away and makes me pause to re-evaluate my life and where I am in it. Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee definitely turned into one of those gems. I have not read anything by Terri Lee before this so I was not sure exactly what I would be getting myself into when I decided to give this book a go for the pure beauty that is the cover. I loved it and I am so glad that I did pick this up!

Lost in Carmel brings us the story of Natalie Hampton, a Hollywood star and pretty much America’s sweetheart. We get to see everything that comes with that title and all the dirty and dark secrets that often surround the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Things are not easy and she if faced with a lot of difficult life lessons that are of course complicated in general but then you add the extra issues of being in the spotlight and stuck to figure out how to navigate life feeling so very lonely. I adored this book and found myself reeling from the emotions from the very beginning to the gorgeous end. It was a nice little vacation to Rome as well and I loved the descriptions of the scenes that made me feel as if I was right there with Natalie. I look forward to seeing what else is available from Terri Lee while I anxiously await to see what will come out new from her as well!

The Hazed Series Boxed Set by Brittany Tarkington – Review by Carrie Reed

The Hazed Series Box SetThe Hazed Series Box Set by Brittany Tarkington
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars!

This series was remarkable. The storyline was perfect and the characters, very well developed. I love that the first 2 books are told from Taylor’s point of view and the 3rd book is from Hayze’s point of view. Having 2 different viewpoints always makes for a more interesting story. It’s also nice to see what each character is feeling in different moments.
Hayze is a typical bad boy, he has a lot of baggage and tries to bury it all by sleeping around, drugs and alcohol, he just doesn’t care. Then he meets the one girl that makes life seem worth it and he starts to get scared that his secrets will all be revealed. He spends time lying to Taylor and hurting her many times, but everyone has their own problems to work through. It is very frustrating wanting Hayze to share his secrets with Taylor, I knew in my mind she would accept him through it all. These books are filled with so many ups and downs, addiction, obsession, lies, drama, it all came together for a perfect series. My heart ached so many times, but I love when a book can completely crush me. I could not put these books down and I highly recommend them to any romance lover.

The Hazed Series Boxed Set by Brittany Tarkington – Review by Kerry Baker

The Hazed Series Box SetThe Hazed Series Box Set by Brittany Tarkington
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Hazed Series by Brittany Tarkington is a great story about two opposite personalities and the connection they forge.
I was intrigued by this series from the moment I read the blurb. I instantly knew I wanted to find out all about the secrets Hayze was hiding. Normally with a series like this I split it up and read something else in between each book. However with this series I found myself just continuing on through as I had to find out what was going to happen.
As I was reading the series I loved the fact that it was a YA college romance and yet it felt like so much more than that – deeper and more mature. It actually made the feelings the characters were experiencing more relatable.
This was a great series and a brilliant way to discover a new author.

The Hazed Series Boxed Set by Brittany Tarkington – Review by Karyn Taylor

The Hazed Series Box SetThe Hazed Series Box Set by Brittany Tarkington
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Hazed Box Set contains books 1-3 of the Hazed Series by Brittany Tarkington. I had never read any of Brittany Tarkington’s work so was unsure what to expect. OMG! I was taken on the most amazing of journeys.
This box set is unlike anything I’ve ever read. It’s definitely not a cute, sweet romance, far from it! It’s powerful, hard hitting and really gives you all the feels. You could correctly say that this is an opposites attract love story, but it has so, so much more than this. It deals with addiction and all the highs (no pun intended) and lows that go with dealing with addiction and obsession.
I adored both Taylor and Hayze but there were so many times that I wanted to slap them both and bang their heads together. Their story had me gripped from the very start, all the way through their traumatic journey, right up to the very end.
The parts of the book that were written from Hayze point of view (all of book 3 is as well as other chapters throughout) I found most harrowing. My heart truly broke for him on so many occasions. Deep down he just wanted to be loved and feel worthy of being loved.
I have read that there will also be a 4th book in this series and I cannot wait to read it.

This is one of my favorite authors. I know that I am in for a steamy, suspenseful story that I won’t be able to put down. This one is no different. This story is in POV of four characters which made the story engaging. In this story Katrinia and Chase goes up against family to take over her father’s dream. I loved seeing Katrinia showing us how strong she really is. There is steam, action and suspense that left me turning pages fast. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is a short and sweet little Christmas read that is full with emotion. On the flight home for Christmas Penelope, Max (her son), and Jolynn (her mom), are forced to land their plan in a very small town because of a snow storm. Unfortunately, fate would have it that her ex from years ago, Artemis Warren was also forced to land at the same tiny airport. The separate worlds of the two of them collide again, only this time there are a lot of scars and secrets… big secrets… secrets that could change both of their lives in a major way. The secret is soon revealed and so it begins the back and forth of the emotional pull between the two.
This book was delightfully pleasant. There was so much emotion packed in to this book and the character were very favorable. The story-line was great and I got the ending that I had hoped for all along. This is a quick read that would be perfect by a day spend by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

You can feel the passion and desire that these two have for one another. Katarina finds herself trying to fulfill her father’s dream. She first will have to get her Italian family’s trust and agreement. Chase will do anything and spare no expense to keep Katarina safe and protected. What does the future hold for Katarina and Chase? Read this book to find out. This story also includes the characters of Serena and Giovanni. He finds a strong attraction to her. She holds a secret. He will protect Serena. The Hazed series written by Brittany Tarkington is the first book that I have read by this author and it won’t be the last. This is a college romance with secrets, lies, obsession, and addiction all plays a part in this story. The characters are great and well written the plot is great.

Via Mari was raised in both the United States and United Kingdom and travels extensively. As a child she spent uncountable hours traveling and always enjoyed reading to pass the time and this pattern has continued in her adult life.

In fact, you can still find her curled up in an overstuffed chair, when the wood fire is crackling and popping, reading a page-turning novel until the early hours of the morning, especially during the harsh winters of the Midwestern United States or engrossed in a book as she travels from place to place researching for her own novels, or attending conferences.

Via’s inspiration to publish stemmed from research as she began writing love scenes for her own novels. It became apparent there seemed to be a cultural divide between what people believed was normal or vanilla sexual behavior and that which people considered BDSM and she felt compelled enough to write about the differences, similarities, and extreme feelings and levels of trust individuals in dominant and submissive relationships must have, and the desires that are at the heart of these relationships.

Not a Good Death: Agents of Dart Series Book Two was a thrilling 4 star read.

I was pulled in right from the beginning witnessing a murder of a teenage girl and another scared for her life. At least she had enough sense to stay quiet and not give herself away. When it’s safe she flees and knows there is only one person that she can call for help.

When Lily and Dillion go on their first job for DART, they get more than they expected. While trying to get the scientist to leave with them he gets a phone call, a call that causes him to run. Lily and Dillion are also a couple and while working on this case they encounter some challenges.

We get danger, murder, suspense and so much more in this read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. This is my first read from Naomi Bellina and I really enjoyed it. This can be read as a stand alone. I look forward to reading more in this series and from Naomi. 1-click and get started today.

Not a Good Death by Naomi Bellina is the second book in the Agents of Dart series. This book can be read as a standalone, you do not need to have read the previous book first.
As my first read by this author I wasn’t sure what to expect. I will be honest and say the blurb didn’t really grab my attention too much however the reviews it received definitely caught my interest. I found the book to be fast paced and exciting in a few parts. You could really feel the suspense throughout the book.
I’m not overly sure how I felt about Lily and Dillon choosing to work together given they are together. However that being said I think the author did a great job of balancing the two aspects of the story. I definitely warmed to them both by the end of the book.
The author has a great flow to her story and it is that which really kept me reading. I enjoyed the way the book was developed and the picture that was painted. I will definitely be looking into more work by this author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible at Christmas is an anthology of Christmas stories that are all perfect season heart warmers. I really enjoyed the fact that for once I knew the majority of the authors in this anthology so, although it meant I was introduced to less new ones I knew that I was going to enjoy it all before I started.
Each of these books had completely different things about them that I loved. And yet each of them had an appeal that made you want to read them. The authors all managed to get their own personalities across and yet the books all went very well together.
I don’t think I could honestly pick which of these books was my favourite as I enjoyed them all so much. If you haven’t started your seasonal reading yet then I would say this anthology is the perfect way in which to do so.

Not a Good Death (Agents of Dart Series Book 2) by Naomi Bellina. I LOVE this book! This is about Lily Blume and Dillon Hurst partners in life and work. While on a retrieval assignment working for DART(Damage, Avert and Rescue Team) in a small Midwest town their subject attacks them and takes off. Then they find a teen girl dead so their game plan changes. Dillon is struggling to obey rules and Lily is worried she might have made a mistake having him come to work with her. As they struggle to solve the murder which they think is tied to their subject they are learning its harder to work together than they thought. Dylan knows how to follow orders with his military background but when Lily is in danger and the rules suck they are proving very hard to follow. Both of their jobs are on the line if this job is screwed up and as more murders pile up they’ve got to solve this case. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first one. Its an awesome series and I can’t wait for the next one.
