I have greatly enjoyed this latest edition in the Lucky Devil series. Mackie does a fantastic job writing a steampunk fantasy with a some romance thrown in. I have just loved how these books have been constructed and this latest installment lived up to my expectations. I greedily dove straight into this story and enjoyed every page. Radtke delivers a colorful story with great characters and an interesting storyline. I love period fiction and relish in a good cozy mystery. This book delivered on all counts and is one I will gladly go back and read again.

This is not my first book by these two authors but it is one of my favorites. I enjoyed this vampire/human paranormal story. This is a well developed story that I had a hard time putting down. I was pulled in right from the beginning and kept engaged to the end. What will happen when a hundredth anniversary party turns into a missing person? Darren thought he was just chaperoning his brother, Dan, until Dan comes up missing. Darren is determined to find his brother, get in and get out, a clean escape. Will Edith hold the key to finding Dan? What will happen between her and Darren? I enjoyed their characters and watching them grow throughout the story. They really made the story for me and easy to read. I highly recommend this book and these authors.

This beautiful tale is right on point for the holiday season. I loved the illustrations and loved being able to share the story with my children and watching them engage with the beautiful visuals. This is a timeless story appropriate for any time of year but especially one I will treasure sharing multiple times leading up to Christmas.

High Heels and Mistletoe is a great book to kick off the holiday season. It revolves around the magic of Christmas and a little bit of magical curses. Julietta is a hard working woman with an aversion to Christmas. She usually spends the holiday in a tropical location…and she is ready to leave on this year’s vacation. Unfortunately, she can’t leave until she closes the deal on the Winslow account. Luke Winslow is not making it easy and her vacation is non-refundable. Luke Winslow is a rich playboy that embraces everything that the Christmas season entails. He is also out to find a date to his family’s Christmas Eve party that will make up for the debacle of last year. When he crosses paths with Julietta, she intrigues him from the beginning. When he finds out she is in charge of his account, he tries to woo her while hanging signing the deal over her head. What ensues is a little bit of romance, quite a bit of humor, some personal growth, and a whole lot of Christmas magic. I enjoyed Julietta and Luke’s characters. They both evolved in their own way throughout the book. I devoured this book in one sitting because I couldn’t step away. I needed to know how it would all end up…and I was not disappointed. This is a good book to get into the holiday season.

As an avid book junkie (yep..that’s me), it’s difficult to find new authors who catch your interest. With so many genres (and we all have our favorites), at least with me, most readers tend to stick to their favorite authors. So to find a new author that really catches your interest is rare and exciting. But that’s what happened to me. Who’s the author? India Kells. Talk about refreshing! So let me explain WHY she is now a new favorite for me and will hopefully become a favorite author for YOU!
The Sanctuary Chronicles is a mish-mash of nothing but goodness! Paranormal romance AT ITS BEST. Be prepared for vampires, werewolves, and witches. Romance, mystery, and angst. Humor, intrigue, and drama. I think you’re getting the idea. Ms. Kells weaves wondrous tales throughout these books that surpass your average “good book”. As each book can be read as a standalone, do yourself a favor and pick up this box set. The books included are Broken Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles Book #1), Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles Book #2), Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles Book #3), and Hidden Magic (A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella). Although I would love nothing more than to tell you about the goodness in EACH and EVERY book, we don’t have ALL DAY and I think my fingers would get tired from typing, LOL.
So, what is so different about these books than any other romance novel? Well, Ms. Kells does a fabulous job in book one of setting up the characters and storyline that keeps you ensnared from the beginning until the end. This is carried through each book, where the reader keeps being enchanted with the recurring characters and a spellbinding storyline. But don’t think with all the action, suspense, and drama that Ms. Kells forgets about the feels. Those are there in-mass! Each book builds on the last leaving the reader clamoring for more. If you’ve never read Ms. Kells, this is a fabulous way to be introduced. So pick up this box of goodness and follow Valeria, Sera, and Violet as they battle dark forces, make self-discoveries, and find love all in Sanctuary.

Short version: This is an amazing series! Read it!
Longer version: I love the way Ms. Kells writes her characters. They are relatable and you really get to know them as the stories progress. Witches, werecreatures, and vampires – what’s not to love! The world building is superb. The box set is a great way to read this series because you can binge read it without any breaks between stories. A definite must read for Paranormal Romance fans!

The Sanctuary Chronicles Box Set by India Kells contains three full length novels and 1 novella. They are: Broken Magic – full length Blind Magic – full length Dead Magic – full length Hidden Magic – novella
I have been a fan of India Kells writing for a couple of years now but had never read any of her paranormal work until now. OMG I was seriously missing out on some amazing writing! I’m so glad that I chose to read this box set as I absolutely loved it.
The one thing I loved most about this box set are the characters. The characters are totally kickass and I loved them so much. I keep changing my mind on who my favourite couple are, who my favourite female is and who my favourite male is. Each time I read a new book, that book’s characters became my new favourite.
As well as the romance aspect of these books (BTW these books are hot and sexy!) the drama that unfolds through each story is so well written. We have shifters, werewolves, vampires, witches and just about every other type of being imaginable. Add in some murder, mystery, intrigue, curses etc and you get a set of amazing stories that will have you gripped from the very beginning and keep you tight in their jaws before spitting you out at the very end wondering what the hell you’ve just experienced.
If you love a paranormal romance then The Sanctuary Chronicles needs to be next on your TBR list.

The Devil’s Day (The lucky devil book 3) by Megan Mackie Review by Kaitlyn Stewart 4 out of 5 stars
This book is very action-packed and has that romantic tension that you can cut with a knife. The first part of the book was a little bit slow. Luckily it picked up in the second half of the book. Rune is strong and smart, she learns to use her magical powers. What will happen to Rune and St. Benedict? Read to find out!!! There is a small cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more!

Grumbler’s Ride: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2 by Manda Mellett 4 out of 5 stars Book 2 in the Satan’s Devil Series is just as amazing as the first. Grumbler is a tough dude that is all mush at heart. He is the definition of a tough teddy bear. Mary and her daughter are exactly what Grumbler needs in his life. Softness and light with a little bit of laughter. But as expected there are some growing pains when a single mom and teenage daughter start to hang around an MC Club, and quite hilariously so I might add. This book is equal parts sweet and loving. Grumbler was written just for Mary and Alicia needed a person like Grumber to come in a be that glue that keeps her from feeling that the world is falling apart around her. Lovers of the MC world will love this series. This builds on the book before and sets up for books to come and LOVE that about a series. I love that you can get the history of characters before you are able to visit them in their stories.

At Last by Mindy McKinley is book one of the Adams Brothers series. I couldn’t put this book down and can’t wait to read book two!
Lula is the sweet, shy, if not a little awkward. Dominic is quite confident and a bit of a playboy. Lula has one goal and that is to find out who her father is. She doesn’t have time for distractions between being the best teacher she can for her students and finding out about her father. Dominic never gets attached. He’s pretty good at it. What is it about Lula that changes his mind? All it takes is one night at a Jazz club. Lula doesn’t need complications right now though. What will the future hold for these two?
I couldn’t put this book down. I loved Lula, probably because I can relate to her awkwardness a bit. Dominic intrigued me a bit honestly. He seemed like a contradiction, which hooked me. These two together – whew! I absolutely recommend!

This is a book full of short stories and clearly shows the love of animals you can tell these are drawn from experience when reading. This is set in rural America. There is a melancholic feel to most of the stories, with recurring themes of death and long-suffering dogs, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book. It makes us aware that domesticated animals have a life and personality of their own and are not just there to fulfil a selfish purpose on the part of their owners. In our daily lives we tend to overlook – by preference or disinterest – a shadowy side of our own society … the abuse of animals. This can be a hard read but says alot about some animals reality.

The Devil’s Day is the third book in The Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. This author continues to amaze me with her many talents. I’m a huge fan of this series and this one is my favorite yet . I yet again found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down. I do highly recommend reading the first two books in this series if you haven’t already. Rune and St. Benedict both find themselves attracted to each other. Rune is trying to defend her claim to the House of Magdaline. But what will happen when the Devil comes a calling to collect what is his? What does her future look like? Find out what happens next in this action packed story with some twists and turns. I highly recommend reading this book and the whole series if you haven’t already started it.I look forward to reading more from this Author.

The Dog Thief and Other Stories by Jill Kearney is a collection of animal stories that will warm but also break your heart. This collection of stories is inspired by Jills heart and life experiences and it is easy to see in her writing. It is a story of animals that will continue to love no matter how broken their owners are. The animals themselves are the true heroes and heroines of these stories. I must admit that I had a lot of emotions when reading this collection and they stayed with me long after I finished the book.

Absolute must read! I was hooked in the first chapter and could not put the book down. I love the way that C. A. King writes and how well the story flows. I am a sucker for holiday romances and this one is no exception! The author jumps right into the story and keeps you reading to see what happens next between Luke and Julietta. I highly recommend High Heels and Mistletoe for a feel good romance. I can’t wait to read more from King!

Vampire State by Alexander Charalambides Four Stars
Vampire State is a paranormal/vampire book by Alexander Charalambides. This Is the first book I have read by Mr. Charalambides, but definitely won’t be the last. This story was full of twists and turns and had me hooked from the very first page. I read long into the night just to see what path Rowena would take. Rowena is a strong character that has to make some hard decisions. I enjoyed the political aspects that are approved in this book. This was a greasy read and I look forward to read the next book in the series. Review by @sunbarn

Murder Makes Waves is the third book in the Jack and Frances Mystery series by Carmen Radtke. This is my first read by Ms. Radtke, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into the book. I was definitely intrigued and as I love a good cozy mystery, I happily snapped up a copy to explore. The story is a cleverly woven historical murder mystery set in 1931, on a cruise ship on the high seas. The story is full of danger, jealousy, deception, murder, theft, crime & investigation- and with a cunning adversary to deal with. I enjoyed meeting Jack and Frances, along with Uncle Sal, Aunt Mildred, the other secondary characters, and of course Tinkerbell the Corgi. Even though this is the third book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone, without feeling like you are missing any details. The characters did intrigue me enough to want to go back and read the other two books to see what Jack and Frances have been up to previously. I am sure to learn a great deal more about them, as well as backstory information that I am looking forward to discovering. A fun read.

City Without a Sun by Alexander Charalambides is the second book in the Vampire State Series. I recommend reading the books in order because the story is building throughout the series. This is an action and mystery packed adventure. The characters are great and the development through the series has been wonderful. I am really enjoying reading about Rowena and the path she is taking. This book kept me up late because I just had to see how it would end. I really enjoy how the author is taking the vampire story and making it his own. I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author in the future.

Grumbler’s Ride (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2)by Manda Mellett
5 out of 5 stars
I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and her writing just gets better with each book. I love how thorough she is with her descriptions if it’s of the club house and compound or just the people in general. I loved how she describe Grumbler’s motorcycle. These guys are not just a bunch of misfits that come together it is a brotherhood.
Grumbler is the Sergeant -at- arms he has given his club more years of his life than he cares to remember. His life is settled and just the way he likes it. He thinks he is too old to change now.
Grumbler is asked to use his motorcycle in a photo shoot while there he meets Mary and her 17yr old daughter Alicia. Grumbler finds out that they were conned out of money for such said photo shoot for a book cover that he contacts Alicia and her mother Mary and told them he would take care of I and get their money. So, after Alicia calls Grumbler for help after a bad experience with a male model they all become close.
Mary is a single mother to a 17yrold daughter names Alicia who keeps her on her toes. Alicia thinks she knows everything she’s not quite adult, but doesn’t see herself as a child, constantly pushing at boundaries. She spends most of her time trying to stay one step ahead of her and it’s not easy.
So now he is chasing the photographer for none-payment sends things in a spiral turn that throws Grumbler and Mary together. As the MC investigates the photographer things come to light that they need to call the Utah chapter. Grumbler is not happy about this because he still does not trust them after their antics came to light.
I highly recommend this book/series…. Tracy @tracym

Blood of the Dragon is the fourth book in the Relic Hunters series by Martin Ferguson. It is a superb addition to the series and is my favourite of the books, so far. This is another fantastic young adult adventure- with plenty of action, thrills, drama, mystery, danger, historical details, investigation; while once again giving us a wonderfully complex and engrossing storyline. I have mentioned before, and will probably do so many more times- but this series would make a really great movie, or TV series- as well as the possibility of an exciting adventure game for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or other gaming system. There is so much going on in this book- the author reallly upped the ante on this one, really putting the characters through the wringer. I don’t want to give anything away as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Suffice to say that this action-packed adventure kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I really recommend this series to anyone who loves YA, adventure, and history. Even though you could read this as a standalone, I recommend that you read the previous 3 books before starting on this one- as this is definitely a series you won’t want to miss a minute of. Looking forward to more Relic Hunters adventures!

The Dog Thief and Oher Stories by Jill Kearney is a collection of 12 short stories capturing the connection between humans and our four pawed companions. These stories are drawn from the authors own experiences as a dog rescuer and carer. The stories are heartachingly poignant- with a very realistic and honest account capturing both human and animal in all too-real situations. This is not a light and fluffy read- there are moments of true heartache and emotion, but amongst it all are also messages of compassion, hope, determination, resilience, and survival. The stories are written to highlight the need for more focus on animal rights, welfare, and rescue. It also captures the connection between humans and animals, and how caring for one another and forming a bond with our furry companions can stabilise and really enrich lives.
The stories in the collection are: -The Dog Thief -Sparrows -Beverley and Jim -Arnie’s Last Ride -The Christmas Rats -The Angel -The Collie -Beer Money -The Quest -Ordinary Housework -Driving While Remembering
The author has a wonderful way with words, easily conveying realism and emotion. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more of her work to explore.

Grumbler’s Ride: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2 by Manda Mellet
I have loved every one of the Satan’s Devils books I have read, but think San Diego is my favorite of the branches at least so far. I can relate age wise with first Patsy and now Mary. Don’t get me wrong, I love the stories about the younger members it’s nice to have someone in my age range that I can relate to more.
As the mother of two daughters this story stressed me out. I have no idea what I would have done in Mary’s shoes. I do think it wouldn’t have been the same since I don’t have a hot biker in my life.
I cannot get enough of this series and can’t wait for the next book to be released.

This is the second book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego chapter from Manda Mellett, and it quickly turned into one of my favorites of all time of hers. Grumbler’s Ride will knock your emotions out of the ballpark and tear you to pieces before it slowly and tenderly puts you back together. Manda Mellett has this special talent of making her books carry a message and bring to light difficult topics that need to be in the spotlight more. I won’t give away much on the twist to this because I don’t want to ruin it for you. I will say Mellett did a wonderful job yet again, writing about a horrible situation and making it very very relatable. I can’t say enough good things about this book so I will keep it short and sweet. This is a must read if you love MC novels and books with heart and soul woven in every word that graces the pages. I cannot wait to see what the next book will bring us! I think I will go back and re-read this sucker while I wait again, it was that good, I need more! Thank you for the fabulous read here Ms. Mellett!

Scepter of Flint (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 3) by N.L. Holmes is another is a historical mystery story set in ancient Egypt with Lord Hani once again at the helm. NL’s real-life experiences, knowledge and passion for this period is easy to see through her writing. The storyline is original and engaging and is a good thriller where the plots have lots of twists and turns. Hani is in the midst of a plague and tombs are being robbed. Are they one and the same? Will he be able to stop the plague, find the murderers and save the tombs?

Holmes – Review by Jenni Bishop
The North Wind Descendsis the fourth book in The Lord Hani Mysteries by N.L Holmes. This is an historical mystery set in ancient Egypt- with plenty of historical detailing, intrigue, drama, and interesting characters. I am enjoying following Hani along on his mystery solving escapades- and the Lord Hani series is definitely my favourite of all the N.L Holmes books. I love the historical details of the story and the authors passion for the period- her in-depth knowledge and familiarity with the historical aspects of the times really does enhance to the whole atmosphere of the story. Hani is a fantastic character, who along with the rest of the cast, help to bring this story alive. He is a loving family man, as well as a respected diplomat. This mystery tests Hani, again, and brings with it more political agendas. Murder, intrigue, family, and political tension made for a great read. Looking forward to seeing what Hani gets up to in the next book!

City Without A Sun by Alexander Charalambides Five Stars
City Without A Sun is the second book in the Vampire State series by Alexander Charalambides. This book finds Rowena taking on the new challenge of a job at Gargoyle, a news network. She is trying to get the human perspective across but the vampires want nothing to do with it. Rowena’s character is growing. The book is full of twists and turns that kept me reading long into the night. I use couldn’t put it down. I cant wait to read the next book in this series. Review by @sunbarn

At Last: Adams Brothers: Book 1 by Mindy McKinley is a beautiful steamy contemporary romance. This is Mindy’s debut novel and wow did she do a good job. She has a passion that clearly flows through her words. I laughed and cried at this emotive story, watching as they fell in love. The story is told in the main characters POV and I loved their witty banter. If the other brother in the Adams family is like this, then sign me up.

At Last is the first book in the Adams Brothers seriesand debut novel by Mindy McKinley. This is a well-written sexy and steamy co-worker romance, with just enough drama and angst to keep things interesting. Lola is a great teacher, but lacks confidence and so tends to keep a low profile. Dom is a history teacher working at the same school, who has a bit of a player reputation. They have had little to do with each other until he sees Lola sing at a local Jazz club. Then things take an interesting turn. A fun read. Looking forward to more from Mindy McKinley in the future.

Will you be tempted into the world of Vampires, werewolves and mystical creatures, I say YES.
The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells is brilliant, I love box sets as you don’t have to wait to get stuck into the next installment and you will be chomping to get to each book in this series.
The boxset has three of the books within this series and a bonus novella which will have you looking to read the next book in the series. Each books builds the story and follows the different characters within the flow of the story.
Broken Magic follows Valeria and when the only thing that had centred her, her magic has become destructive.
Blind Magic follows Sera who loses her sight and is heartbroken when she thinks that her beloved books and research has gone, but the only person who can hep can’t even stand to be in the same room as her.
Dead Magic follows the story of Violet and her interaction with the oldest Vampire, Finn. Will give in to the chemistry which is obviously between them.
I love India Kells writing and this is the first time I have read her fantasy books but they have the same well developed characters and gripping stories as all the other books. This is not normally my usually genre I read but because of the author I thought I would give them a go and was not disappointed.
All three of the books were full of the usual angst and chemistry with the interaction of the secondary characters you find yourself transported to the world of Vampires, witches and all that goes with this wonderful world. I would definitely recommend this series as a gateway to the unknown world of fantasy.

The Sanctuary Chronicles Box Set – Book 1-3 + Novella by India Kells was a great 5 star read. We get a great collection of the first three books in one along with a novella.
Broken Magic: Valeria is a witch and her father is an enforcer. She has been given the job of hunting and killing those who are a danger to the supernaturals. This is when she meets Asher, he is the head of the werewolves that she was hunting. There is a connection between these two. But….if they were to be together it could mean death. Are they willing to take that chance? Something wacky also goes on with Valeria’s magic that causes tragedy causing her to be banished. We jump ahead a couple of years when she runs into Asher again but it’s not a pleasant visit, he has plans to kill her. Overall this was a great read with several unexpected twists and turns.
Blind Magic: Sera is a witch who is gradually losing her sight. She is curious and likes to learn about things and she isn’t shy about asking people questions. I loved the scene where she asked Ian to turn for her so she could see how it was done.
We move forward with a great story with mystery and twist and turns. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I really liked Sera’s strength and fierceness in protecting her loved ones. The connection between Sera and Ian was great, you could feel it coming off the pages.
Dead Magic: Finn is a very old vampire, he is at the point where he is ready to meet his maker. However, when a certain someone connects with him and asks for his help, his plans change immediately. She is the one and only person he would stay for.
Violet lost her parents to a vampire and should hate them but something about Finn pulls her in and she can’t stop thinking about him. He’s different from the others. When Finn arrives to help Violet, they discover that working together makes them stronger, can they work together to keep Violet safe and help with her internal war?
Overall this was a great read, my emotions were all over the place. The characters were all great. I love Violet and Finn’s connection.
Hidden Magic (Novella): This is Kat and Brant’s story. These two have a great chemistry that comes off the pages. Brant is a were-lynx and when Kat is kidnapped he is determined to find her. When he finds here will he be able to help her get through her demons and fears from her kidnapping? I really liked both characters from the start, Brant pulled me in right away with his feelings for Kat. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, you feel like you’re right there with all of the characters. 1-click and get started today on this great collection. I look forward to reading more from this author.
