Once again I was drawn in by this author and her beautiful covers, and amazing synopsis. Upon starting to read this book I was blown away with the world that our author has created, and her wonderful characters. Full of twists and turns, drama, suspense, danger, romance and more I just simply couldn’t put it down. Probably the only complaint I have is that it was just too short, I really started falling in love with my favorite characters on for it to end, but I’m hoping our author will bring back our favorite characters in the next installment. But will put main characters get their happy ending or will we be left on a cliffhanger? You’ll have to read this book to find out for yourself.

The Clockwork Solution is the second book in The Clockwork Solution. The book is the continuation of the story of Arabella and her magical power of technomancy. I enjoyed this book more than the first and could get into the story more. Though aiming for a YA audience, I think teens and older readers can enjoy this series. The characters have become better developed, which has helped drive the story. However, it did end a bit abruptly, so I hope there is more to this series in the future. I look forward to finding more from this author in the future.

This was an unexpected read for me in a wonderful way. The author was able to bring out the good vs bad, love vs hate, loyalty vs distrust among all the characters.
Our main character Cathy is a strong independent focused career woman. She has seen heartbreak first hand having her heart trampled on. She picks up the pieces after expelling brute force on a nail with a hammer. That part will make you chuckle under your breath.
Daedriel is an angel who is on earth to find Rath, a former friend turned evil betrayer. Although this book has both sides of good and evil, you are left with an overwhelming feeling of pureness and wanting to be the best you can to yourself and those you love. I felt at peace and warmly happy when I finished this book. Thank you to the author who took me on a ride of the unexpected.

I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. The author does an amazing job with the characters that you can’t help but wish they get their happy ever after. The way the author mixes the paranormal worlds with earth in a way that the story feel real only adds to the magical story.
In this book we meet Cathy and Daedriel. Cathy has been hurt in the past by losing her mother and then being deceived by her ex partner. She has shut herself off from love and believes it isn’t for her. That is until she meets Daedriel.
Daedriel is an angel. He has been sent to Earth to capture a fallen angel with power to turn the Earth into darkness. He has no plan to fall in love until he meets Cathy. What follows is a story about good and evil and the fight to stop evil from taking over the world. The story is full of magic, Romance, and danger. It shows that true love can overcome any evil thats out there.

I want to be a bit brutally honest for a moment here because this is a review and well I have an opinion lol… This book was completely nothing what I thought it would be. In fact it was ten times better and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really loved it and want more. I just happen to be one of those weirdos that tend to judge books by their covers and this book, well, it doesn’t do it for me. And it pigeon holes it into a category that won’t snag the group of readers that this book needs to snag because it is that good. It needs a bright beautiful steampunk, catch your eye cover. The adventures inside don’t match the little house on the prairie on the cover.
With that I feel better and this book was amazing. If steampunk adventure fantasy reads are your thing, this book will blow your mind. I was whisked away to this new world of adventure with Arabella and I am super excited to find out more with future books! This is a new author to me and I really love how she writes with such vigor and passion, it really shows in the story and character development. The side characters are just as fun as the main ones. I will definitely be back for more and look forward to sharing this one with my teenagers.

This is such a beautiful romance. This story pulled me right from the very first page. Cathy is so funny and Dae is just incredible. The chemistry between the two of them if amazing and the connection that draws them together is undeniable. There is so much romance and action in this book and I couldn’t make myself put it down once I started it! I just had to find out what happened next. The author is so great at creating this magical world that it felt like I stepped right into it. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. The true love aspect just took my breath away. If you love romance with a magical twist then you absolutely won’t want to miss this one!

This was such a great read! A beautifully well told story that provides a feel good feeling, and a happy ending. Dae and Cathy had immediate chemistry and it flowed throughout the book. The story itself captures good vs evil and leads you on a magical adventure full of romance, danger, and mystery. All the characters played a key part and truly shaped the story supporting our H and h. Its a thought provoking journey and one you do not want to miss.

This book was as mesmerizing as the cover in which contained the words it spoke to me. I loved the story. There are always two paths, good and evil. How we choose to walk, defines and shapes our future. I could not get enough of this book or the characters, it was a really good read!
The story was whimsical from start to finish! I loved the story of the magical sense it brought forward. Cathy was a wonderful character, when she started to even in which she became. I was taken back by her in more than one way, also loved her tender heart and her personality. When it came to her and Dea, you did not just read their feelings or wants for one another, you felt them! It was amazing and powerful all on one. As the story pressed on, more came to light. I was hooked and was sad when I had concluded it I did not want to say good bye just yet. I will say hello though to the next installment!

Oh my goodness, this book has just been added to my favorites of the year (and it’s only February). If this is any indicator, it’s going to be a fun year. Dea and Cathy’s story was a challenge from the start. He’s here hunting bad evil and gets a wee bit distracted by her. She’s getting over a bad romance and grieving her mom’s death. With moon vibrations and Tika, Dea’s best friend, they might get through this. Rask tries to throw a few twists but these two have chemistry and a pull two each other. The plot is fantastic. You feel it all in the writing. And the descriptions….if only Dea could have popped out my Kindle. I loved every minute of it. Not a dull part to the story. The characters are very bit as relatable as the person standing next to you. I can’t wait to read book 2. Get out there and read this one. Guarantee you’ll have a good time and smile. I’d give it more than a 5 if I could.

This the first book in this series for this author. It is a paranormal romance story that is a shorter story but packs a punch. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story that kept me turning pages to the end. The characters are connectable, unique and strong. They are supportive of each other and had great growth throughout the story. This is a story about Cathy Lu. She has not the best of relationships and she puts everything into her career. What happens when the August Full Moon comes out and changes her into a beautiful angel, magical. Will one kiss change her feelings on relationships? What will fate have in store for her? Safety or darkness. You will want to see what happens next with Cathy Lu. She is such a great character that truly made the story for me. This is a story that has great chemistry and is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

This is a captivating shifter book. Aranha is such a great heroine. She’s strong and beautiful and she has such a big heart. I was pulled right into the colorful world that the author creates from the very first page. This is so different from the other shifter stories that I’ve read and I absolutely loved it! There’s so much action, and the electricity between Aranha and Dag is incredible! I was fascinated by the Garden of Eden theme, how so much was shielded from everyone and faded into the background until it was brought back in a very startling way! It was great seeing the interactions between the different species that happens in this book, it’s one book that you definitely won’t want to miss.

It’s books like this that make keep me coming back for more. I get so excited when I find a book that looks like it will be an interesting read, but turns out to be so much more- providing an escape that just blows me away…. A Spider In the Garden is a fantastic urban fantasy from Courtney Davis. This may be my first read by Ms. Davis, but after reading this book she has definitely gained a stalker, ummm I mean avid reader, for life!!!! #mustreadauthorlist This is such a wonderful, and refreshingly original paranormal romance that completely captivated me right from the beginning. As a major arachnophobe, like I can’t even stand to be in the same room as a spider (even a teeny-tiny one)- the chances of me falling in love with a spider-shifter story wasn’t a high probability. But as I love to read different things and push myself out of my comfort zones, I thought I would take a peek at this story. And I am soooooooooo happy I did, because I absolutely LOVED it!!! Yep, this may have cured me of my arachnophobia- well let’s not get too carried away, but at the very least this has cured me of my fear of spiders in the printed world lol. Aranha is a spider shifter, and the last of her kind. Her days are a constant struggle for survival. Humans don’t pose a threat to her, but the vampires and werewolves certainly do. It’s imperative that she stay hidden from other paranormal creatures who would kill her if they knew of her existence. Much better for them to think webmakers to be extinct. But then fate leads her into Dag’s bar, and things get….interesting. Add in some hidden agendas, an innocent girl captured by vampires with a diabolical plan, intrigue, mystery, emotion, paranormal politics, and palpable danger- and this story really takes off. I hope there are more books planned for this ‘world’ as Ms. Davis has left me with a bit of an addiction and I need another ‘fix’. I am so thrilled to have discovered Ms. Davis and her wonderful stories. I am off to read her other book ‘A Werewolf in Women’s Clothes’ and can’t wait for her to release more stories for me to devour….. Happy Reading!

This book was absolutely incredible. Urban fantasy is my favorite genre, so I am pickier with these books. I loved it from the beginning! A spider shifter — wait, what?!?!?! I have never read about one before and was instantly intrigued. The author did not disappoint. Not only is Aranha a unique and original creature, she is endearing also. She has a heart of gold, does what she thinks is right and will do anything to protect the innocent and those she cares about. But she’s not perfect, she has her own struggles too. The other characters in the book are also well done and make this world even more complete.
Then there is the story. This is also very unique and different. The author did not use a cookie cutter base and make changes . She went out of her way to create something new a different — and blew the others out of the water in the process. The tale she weaves is so magical and gripping. I could not put it down and urge the author to give us more set in this fantastic world.
If you are a fan of urban fantasy with string female lead characters, great supporting characters, and a story of action and heart, this book is for you.

This paranormal read was just simply amazing, the writing was out of this world and I just simply couldn’t put it down. The depths that the author goes to describe our characters were amazing, her plot was fantastic, and her word play was brilliant. Full of paranormal characters, excitement, suspense and more our author really knows how to draw her readers in and keep them on the edge of their seats. One thing that I really loved about this story is that it was told from a duel POV, which made it unique in its in oh way. But what happens when two paths cross to save one human girl? Well you’ll have to read this story to find out for yourself.

When she meets Dag at a seedy bar, she is shocked to learn that he is also a species nearing extinction – and gives off pheromones for days. The unlikely duo end up on a mission together that will pit them against vampires and werewolves – two species that can kill them with their venom. In the process, they gain some answers about their ancestors and the future of their species.
I enjoyed the plot of the novel, and liked femme fatale Aranha. Her attraction to Dag is scorching. I found myself struggling to keep engaged in some parts, but I’m glad I stuck with it in the end.

Yes Yes Yes!!! This book is just totally fabulous! I was already intrigued by the cover and the story just takes off. The story is paranormal fantasy romance but can I just say I loved having something new of Webmakers? The story really pulls you in……Aranha is a shifter and I really loved her character. She is more like a hero in a sense, preys on bad people who do bad things. She meets Dag, and loved that he is a DayWalker and he is immediately drawn to Aranha. Dag feels like Aranha can help him find out what the vampires are up to…as the feeling is they are up to something not good.
This story is quite amazing and I truly loved it. The characters had me totally drawn to them and the story for me flowed. Totally worth the read!!

I really enjoyed this book, the other took a really interesting concept and turned it into an incredible adventure.

I like finding new authors and I also like new series. I found that this author has a very unique world she has created and really draws the reader in. I really like how the characters are unique and refreshing. I was certainly drawn into this new world and I was not wanting to put the book down.
I like how there is tension as well as a bit of romance. The book is well balanced. I was drawn in with the tension of the factions and just didn’t want to put the book down till I saw how things would end. I look forward to reading more from this author and also see how this series progresses.

I love paranormal stories to begin with and this one did not disappoint. I love when authors come up with different ways of how they interrupt the paranormal, its so refreshing and really makes me think about it. Aranha is an amazing character and the love she has for helping and making everything good. I always enjoy back stories to a character and this one didn’t disappoint, it really makes you understand the character more, and what they have been thou. I loved how creative the characters are in this book. This book was very well written and captivating, it kept me entertained the whole time.

Aranha chacter is nicely written. Dag honestly I struggled with the name as it reminded me of a YouTuber. The characters however did have a great connection and that what is brought into the book. I would highly recommend reading this for you teenagers.

You will find yourself engrossed in this unique urban fantasy tale. It is refreshing to see authors come up with new things and this genre is the way to go. This is the authors second book, and I am looking forward to more. I love the cover. Shifters, vampires, and other creatures have staring roles in this tangled web of survival and deceit. Its tale is told from dual POV, so you get a much more in depth look at the characters and the world they belong in. I love that the author makes things look realistic but in a paranormal way. The world that has been created where Webmakers and Daywalkers dwell is easily imagined and is only limited by one’s imagination. There is some violence and a little sexiness. She has been alone for many many years, preying of the wastes of society. Both find themselves in a battle to save a human girl from the clutches of Vampire’s clutches. Their future and their history have always been entwined. Find out just what does go on in The Garden of Eden.

I enjoyed reading this story. The writing was done beautifully, and the story drew you in and it was like watching a movie. Aranha is a badass spider shifter who can see people’s thoughts and memories through spider webs and track them via webs too. She is the last of her kind and is feeling lonely because of it. Dag the vampire turned me off a little at first, but as the story went on and got to know him better, I liked him a whole lot better. I look forward to reading more by this author and cant wait to see what she cooks up!

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved all the elements this book has to offer. It kept my interest. The way the story flowed was amazing. It was a good change from what I normally read. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

The Clockwork Solution is the second book in The Clockwork Chronicles. It is a steampunk fantasy about a young witch whose unique power, Technomancy, puts her at the forefront of a changing world of both magic and technology. This series will delight young adult and older readers who enjoy the intersection between magic and tech, and stories with a historical setting. In this second book, Arabella is sent to Ireland to see if there is anything her family – both witches and “mundane” relatives – can do to help reduce the impact of the famine. But witches, blamed by many for the famine, are not welcome in Ireland. And there is no guarantee that the forces threatening her in London won’t have followed her across the Irish Sea. I particularly liked Eliza and Sarah, the Guardians who accompany Arabella and her sister, Rowena, on their journey. Both powerful and experienced, they have strong personalities which at times are in conflict but at others provide a balanced and thorough approach. This book gets five stars from me, and I can’t wait to see how Arabella’s next adventure turns out. I would recommend readers start with the first book in the series, The Clockwork Witch, to get to know the characters and the wonderful world portrayed in the books.

I could not get enough of this book, and the writing. I love my paranormal stories. That goes without saying. I loved this one especially though, as it goes really deep into the depth of the characters and the paranormal side as well. This one was full of excitement, as well as suspense. Great read!
Aranha was a great character. I knew right from the start I would be drawn to her with no questions asked. She was convincing in her ways a as a character. She was a born species, that was unlike no other. I loved her backs tory and where she had come from. As well as who she was as a person. Interesting and fascinating all swirled in the same glass. i loved the side characters well They all made this great circles that really built the story as well as its flow. I loved the build up, all the way to the ending. I highly recommend it, I loved this book and really enjoyed the work of this author!
Wonderful read, full of everything and more for a great read! I highly recommend you picking up this book as well as enjoying work by this author. Both are a high recommendation and not ones to be passed up. The author wrote an engaging story, and I loved it. So happy I came across this book!
