Sleeping Angel is the second book in the Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. It is a wonderful paranormal romance, with a bit of an enemies to lovers feel, ghosts, drama, grief, love, loss, heartache, revenge, family, friendship, mystery, and emotion. I know I have said this before, but I really do enjoy Ms. Barrett’s work, her stories are always well written, cleverly constructed, and quite engrossing. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, especially after reading the first book and having loved it sooo much. This story is a little different from the first book- but still with Ms. Barrett’s clever little touches and attention to detail. I loved meeting Logan and Angel and following along on their journey. I also loved that Scott and Zelda (and Andi) from Peaceful Slumber (Book #1) also played a part in this book. That gave this book an added element of interest and connection for me. Bring on Book #3!

This was a quick, cute, fun read that took me a day and was really funny. I loved the main H inner monologue. I also love the take on demons and witches in this book, gives you a completely different POV. I cant wait to read more of this series.

Nightfall by T.K Lawyer is a captivating paranormal (shifter) romance, with just enough angst and drama to keep things interesting. This isn’t my first read by Ms. Lawyer, but it is definitely my favourite, so far. What happens when Tamara’s discovers there is a lot more to her faithful ‘pet’ than she could ever have imagined. And how exactly did Josh get himself in the position of playing ‘pet’- well, you’ll just have to read all the interesting details for yourself- because what happens here makes for a great read.

The House that Adelia Built by Mya O’Malley is an amazing Paranormal Romance. Mya O’Malley is a wonderful author and never ceases to amaze me!
The way O’Malley is able to connect the different stories and really help you feel like you are in the story is unbelievable. At around 5 hours long, this is a story you won’t want to put off.
Adelia was the lighthouse keeper’s wife in the 1800’s. Hope is a present day tour guide for the property, but feels an unusual calling to the old building. She’s falling in love with a new man, but still feels caught in old feelings, and the unexplainable mystery of the lighthouse. As the truth comes out piece by piece, Hope is forced to face reality and overcome her fears.

Cursed Whispers by AJ Renee is the third book in the Broderick Coven Series. Because each of the stories follows different people, you can definitely read them each as standalones. However, you will want to read them all anyhow, so just plan on it!
After being held captive for 8 years, Claudia is on the run. Badly wounded in her wolf form, she’s rescued by a veterinarian who just so happens to be able to speak to animals. (Only fitting, right?) Claudia isn’t looking for love, she’s looking for her daughter and for safety. Max feels the connection, but can’t seem to get Claudia to open up.
A great love story that leaves you rooting for true love, and on the edge of your seat for justice!

Cursed Sight by AJ Renee is the second book in the Broderick Coven Series. I did not read the first story, and did just fine, so I would consider this a standalone for the most part. (You’ll fall in love with the writing style and want to read them all anyhow.)
Ethan didn’t realize he had powers, and is looking for someone to help him use and control them. Serena needs an oracle in her coven when Ethan comes looking for help. An obvious match, they start working together. As the two grow closer, Ethan starts having bizarre dreams about Serena and becomes protective. Serena said she’d never love again, but is she falling for him?
Can they figure out the danger together and put a stop to it, or will Serena push Ethan away until it’s too late?

Life’s a Witch by Carrie Pulkinen is story number three in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. This is a fun paranormal love story that follows Crimson Oliver and Mike Cortez on their action packed journey to save Crimson’s soul.
Crimson isn’t a bad person, but she’s a terrible witch. She’s always in some sort of trouble and can’t seem to get her spells to work out correctly. When her powers are at stake and she needs help, she gets in too deep. With her soul promised to the devil, can she and Mike out smart Satan, or will she be stuck forever?

This is my first read from this author and I was pulled right in by her writing. I really liked the characters and their story.
Tamara has a not so great past with relationships, so much so that she has a pretty big wall built up around her heart. When Josh first saw Tamara, he knew that she was his mate. He takes certain steps to try and be around her until he can get her to open up.
Will Josh be successful and finally get his mate?
Overall I enjoyed the book. My emotions were all over the place. Had some level of frustration with Tamara. We get steaminess, romance, and so much more. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
Sleeping Angel book 2 in the soul connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett is a wonderful read. After reading book one in the series i was really looking forward to reading this book. Nikki Barrett is an amazing author and she delivered in book 2 as well. I loved everything about this book, it engrossed me from the start. I loved all the people in this book. Everything Logan is going through in this book makes you feel for him. I really enjoyed following all them around. I really suggest you add this series to your TBR if you have not yet i highly recommend this book and hope there will be more books in this series. Thank you Nikki Barrett for this amazing read.
Nightfall by TK Lawyer was an emotional paranormal read. I fell into it hook, line, and sinker. It dealt with a lot of emotions and internal struggles for both Tamara and Josh. I enjoyed the plot and pacing. It truly had all the things I love in a shifter book without being overwhelming.
Blue Summer Part One by Everly Taylor was a great fantasy read! I loved the detail and imagination that came to life in this book. There was suspense, history, and romance all wrapped into one quick read. I wish the pacing was slower but with this being a novella it made sense. I did not want it to end and am excited that there is a 2nd part to jump into.

This is an amazing second book in the Soul Connection collection. Nikki Lynn Barrett really grabbed me in the first book and in this book I was not disappointed. In this book, there is so much detail that held me from the first page until the last page. The characters are fully developed and believable. Logan is the main character who is living with the guilt of his sister’s death. Angel is a lost soul who finds herself in another body trying to figure out what is happening. This story has many twists and turns around every corner. I highly recommend this book to see what happens to Logan and Angel.

Miss Everly has done it again with part two of Blue Summer! I couldn’t stop reading through this second part and seeing our girl grow into a badass and be able to hold her own made me overjoyed. The writing is phenomenal and the steamy scenes had me begging for more! The guys weren’t too overly protective and aggressive like most harem stories. Everything meshed well and nothing overpowered each other. The story flowed quite nicely and quickly. I would 100% recommend!

Tamara is a woman who has her life sorted out she has a job she loves, friends around her who support her a love her and a home she has made her own, but the only thing she is missing is companionship since her beagle passed away, however, when a dog keeps appearing on her doorstep night after night she doesn’t know what to do, until she takes him to the vet to see if he is healthy, but when they tell her that it is possibly a wolf, she isn’t sure whether to keep him or not, but in the ends she gets his shots done and takes him home. Josh is a werewolf who is looking for his mate, but when he finds her, he doesn’t realise that he has met her in the past until he is enticed by her scent while on a run and ends up on her doorstep, that is until one day she takes him in as her pet. As she goes to the pet store to get the supplies she needs to look after her new pet, she starts to hear a voice in her head which isn’t hers, she thinks it might be the dog, but that would make her a little insane, so she dismisses it just as quickly. After they return to Tamara’s home she tries to lay down some ground rules, but cannot understand the dog’s behaviour sometimes, however while she tries to name him, she keeps coming up short until she thinks of Nightfall and with the dog’s approval, that’s what she names him.
After Tamara leaves for work the next morning, Josh shifts back into his human form and thinks about the predicament he has gotten himself into acting as her pet, it is taking all his control not to reveal himself to her, especially when she is changing into or out of her clothes. So as he deliberates his plan, makes himself something to eat and makes himself comfortable in her home, until she gets home and somehow finds a towel smelling of a man, even though there hasn’t been one in her home for days, albeit confused, she just dismisses the strange things happening again. As the days pass and the two fall into a routine, Josh is finding it harder and harder to keep his feelings and urges in check, but he has started the wooing with gifts, however, he struggles immensely when she goes on a date with another man, but he finds out where and turns up, it is a good job that he does when the date turns sour, he waits until she is safely on her way home until he returns there himself as Nightfall and when he does, Tamara is worried sick and then pours her heart out to him.
This is when Josh decides that he cannot keep himself away from Tamara any longer and decides to reveal himself to her that night, he shifts into his human form and wakes her up gently before springing the information on her, but how will she react to his revelations and will she accept him for who he is, or will she run a mile because of the past she has kept hidden for so long? This is a paranormal romance with a realistic look at relationships and how pasts can affect the present and future. It is a story which will keep you hooked on their rollercoaster of a journey until you find out the final choices they make
Nightfall by TK Lawyer is a well written shifter romance. I enjoyed the fact that with this book we got a slight twist in the usual shifter stories. I think this is the first one I have read where the wolf basically poses as a pet in order to achieve his end goal. I thought I was an interesting way to go about it. I really enjoyed Josh’s character. I thought he was the exact type of character who makes you want to keep reading. I didn’t connect with Tamara quite as easily but I enjoyed the way they worked together. Overall this I am enjoyable book and one I would recommend to fans of the genre.
Sleeping Angel by Nikki Lynn Barrett is the second book in the Soul Connection series. For me this book is even better than the first and had me hooked right from the word go. I loved the story of Logan and Angel, it felt different from anything I had read in a long time. I connected with them and their stories. They each had such a painful past and were both just doing what they could to get past it. The story was well paced and just perfectly well written. The author just knew what was needed to keep my attention easily. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to see what might come next.
Nightfall by TK Lawyer. This is a really good paranormal romance. Its the story of Tamara who find a stray dog (who is really a wolf) and adopts it. The “Dog’s” name is Nightfall and he doesn’t plan on staying Tamara’s pet. He is there because he knows he is meant to be Tamara’s mate. Tamara has had some really bad relationship’s so she’s not in the market for a boyfriend but there is something about Josh that keeps pulling her toward him. Josh is going to be close to Tamara no matter what it takes and eventually he shape shifts his way into her heart. Tamara has been beat down by others to the point of not wanting to ever open her heart again but Josh somehow manages to get her to let him in. When they connect sparks fly and they both find true happiness but will it last? Read Nightfall to find out!
Sleeping Angel is a paranormal romance that puts a unique spin on seeing ghosts. Scott from the first book is more of a minor character than he was in the first book but he still plays an important part. Angel and Logan are the main characters in this book. Angel and Logan go through a love-hate relationship throughout the story. The book is interesting in its paranormal aspects while also having some heart-wrenching moments when it comes to Logan’s Sister. There were many twists and turns throughout the story that kept me invested and intrigued while reading
With Book One ending with Lillie being kidnapped for the second time, I had to immediately seek out this book to continue this fun and steamy story. The evil sorcerer wants more power and will do whatever he needs to get it. He still thinks Lillie knows more than she is telling, can she save herself a second time? The Zayed are in imminent danger and she needs to get back to them and the life that she has found. She has finally found where she belongs!! I think that is something that we all look for in this life, somewhere to belong, I could relate very well to this.

This was a new author to me, but that I have heard good things about. The cover of this made me think of Jacob Black from the Twilight series so I figured that I would like it. And I wasn’t disappointed. I found myself pulled in from the very beginning of the book and couldn’t put it down. The author did an amazing job with her attention to details in both the characters and the stories. I felt like I was watching this happen before my own eyes. Those are the books that I really like. The way she was writing about the characters made me feel as though I knew them personally. Or at least wanted to. It truly is a great read and I do highly recommend it. Especially if you are into the paranormal genre that leaves you crying, laughing, and just wanting to live their lives.
5 Stars Cursed Whispers (Broderick Coven Series Book 3) by AJ Renee
Cursed Whispers is the third book in the Broderick Coven Series by AJ Renee. I truly enjoyed reading this book and this whole series. This is my favorite yet. I was pulled in from the beginning and I h had a hard time putting it down. What happens when a veterinarian rescues a wolf and he finds there is way more to her than she’s beautiful? What will happen when her past come to light? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I highly recommend this whole series as each book is just as good as the last one. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

“Cursed Whispers” is a multifaceted book. It touches on various issues that are personal to a large part of the population. This book took my feelings on a rollercoaster ride. Max is a vet with magical communication skills. Claudia has been to hell and back, and needs to return again. The story focuses on two very different families who have been through so much, but still drop everything to help one another. Read this book if you like drama, support, strength, and love. I promise it will be worth it.

This is the second book in the trilogy, loved learning more about Scott and Zelda. I fell in love with Logan, he is so distraught. Learning about the torture he has put himself through since his deaf/mute sister passed. I feel like in these times we all have a special person in our lives that we try to protect at all costs. Angel comes to new understandings about herself as she wakes up in someone else’s body with her own memories. Am really loving this author!!
This is the second book I have read by this author. Very different from the first but still amazing!! A man who can see ghosts…..and a ghost who doesn’t remember her past, not even her name. I love that the geekiness shows through as he calls her Zelda, as she didn’t like getting called ghost bride.. They have so many hurdles to finding out who this woman is, and why she can’t remember anything. Scott was a very endearing character as he struggled to come to terms with his “gift”.
Loved this story! I loved the shifter in Josh’s character from human to wolf. His love for Tamara is truly undeniable. There are plenty of ups and downs including some jealousy and doubt when these two get together. In the end, love should always prevail <3. This book was easy to read and hard to put down.
This book was excellent from the very beginning. The writing style is easy to read and gives a hands-on experience. A story of forbidden love against the biggest of odds. Tasha grows into her own as the story progresses and the author has you raptured with every page. A tale of vampires and lycans at war. I loved the intricacies of the characters and the character building of each and every story line. I was sad to finish the book but could not put it down. What an ending. Absolutely explosive.

I enjoyed this book by A.J. Renee. Cursed Whispers is a really good book. The world created by A.J. Renee is vibrant and interspersed with interesting intense characters. I really enjoyed the flow of the story and how the characters were developed. When I initially chose this book to read, I did not realize that it was the third in a series. Now that I know, I will read the first two books in the series by A.J. Renee. I look forward to reading more by A.J. Renee.

This novel was so intense and introduced to me a new concept in the paranormal world that I found riveting and I could not put the book down. Sleeping Angel took the concept of ghosts and elevated it into something new and interesting. Nikki Lynn Barrett created a vibrant world and filled it with interesting people. I like that fact that she writes about damaged individuals and throughout her stories you see that with work and help from others, those individuals grew and became better people. Sleeping Angel is well worth reading and I look forward to seeing more from Nikki Lynn Barrett.

I was excited to get to read the second book of the Soul Connection series from Nikki Lynn Barrett, Sleeping Angel. I was prepared, or so I thought, for the emotional roller coaster that it would take me on and settled in on a rainy afternoon when I needed an escape from some heavy stuff going on in my own life. While I needed it it was one heck of a tear jerker! So make sure you have your tissues ready when you do finally read Logan and Angels story. This is one you do not want to miss though. It is a wonderful reminder that our lives are short and we should really savor what we have when we have it and live it while we can. I look forward to seeing what will come with the next novel. I am sure it will be just as wonderful as the first two.
The House that Adelia Built intertwines the stories of 2 women, Adelia and Hope. Adelia-1875, living as a wife to Augustus, the lighthouse keeper. Hope-2017, living by the lighthouse and giving tours of the old property. When Hope starts having dreams that she can’t explain, she begins to dig into the history of the lighthouse. A delight to listen to, with unexpected twists and turns and an ending I didn’t see coming. The pacing of the story is great. The reason for 4 instead of 5stars is that I felt like the time with Adelia jumped around a lot and should have been smoother
