Wow! I am not typically a fan of paranormal stories but this book had me hooked from the start. I did not read the first two books in the series but after falling in love with Max and Claudia I will be revisiting the first two books. Watching Max and Claudia’s relationship, which is not a “normal” pairing, no pun intended but truly magical. Witches, werewolves, magic and love, this book will definitely have you hooked until the end.

Life’s a Witch (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 3) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen was a sexy and funny read! This story has a very light feel and also is a hot listen. There is conflict and I love that we’ve expanded the supernatural and focus on demons too. I absolutely love Crimson and Mike, their energy just flows through the story. It is very difficult to ignore their connection. I really enjoyed the narrator and pace, the audible version of this book just had me hooked.

This book and series has been addictive to say the least. I really enjoy the author’s writing style and the way the story is woven together. Just the right balance of paranormal greatness, suspense, and romantic chemistry. A hard book to walk away from, I had to finish it in one sitting. Loved it.

Going in to this book I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, I’m not a huge paranormal fan but I really like this author but the story was amazing. Full of so much emotion I was completely captivated by what I was reading. I felt what the characters did and I thought the author just did a wonderful job with them. There were some unexpected twists and turns and it was actually a really though provoking read too that made me think about what I was reading. Overall an amazing read and one that I would highly recommend!
I can’t say enough of this series! The continuation of the characters is fantastic! I love a good demon and nothing like a witch to fall in love with! I enjoyed the story of Crimson and Mike. The story is funny, light and some hot romance. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Life’s a Witch: A Frightfully Fun Paranormal Romantic Comedy is the third book in the New Orleans Nocturnes Series by Carrie Pulkinen. This series is so delightfully funny, with witty dialogue and amazing characters. I think this book is my new favorite. Crimson and Mike have such chemistry and the stuff they get into is hilarious. Ms. Pulkinen’s writing is so descriptive it really makes the characters pop. If you like fast paced fun paranormal romance I would highly recommend this series.
Hollie Jackson has narrated the first three books in this series, and does a wonderful job. Her voice is smooth and easy on the ears. She really brings the characters to life.

Blue Summer Part One is a quick read with wit and humor, steamy romance, and magic. Lillie is a strong and independent woman who is used to only being able to depend on herself. One day, her purse is stolen and she runs into two Zayed while trying to recover it. The Zayed are blue humanoid creatures that rather remind me of an old childhood favorite. The Zayed have been in conflict with an evil sorcerer for many years, and this brief contact with the Zayed now has Lillie in the sorcerers sights! When the Zayed take her back to their village, she must figure out her place and discover if she’s strong enough to help the Zayed prevail. My only critique is that I do wish the story did not seem so rushed. The entire first part spans less than two days. The story ends on a cliffhanger that will definitely have you looking to buy the next part! I look forward to getting to read it!

Everly Taylor is a newer author to me and with that being said, I cannot wait to read some of her other books. Blue Summer has a nice easy, but fast pace at the same time, story. It has a meaty plotline that will hold your attention. The characters are full of zeal and life. They are well written with many details to make them real in your imagination. Lillie takes us on an adventure. The community of Zayed changed Lillie’s life. Will Lillie figure out what is going on around her before it is too late? Why is she so drawn to the Zayed community? I cannot wait to see what is in store in book 2. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Third book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series by Carrie Pulkinen. OMG One paragraph in and I was hooked! I loved everything about this audiobook. Crimson Oliver the “bad” witch just can’t seem to get it together. Things just seem to go from bad to worse for her until she meets her demon Mike, the Devil’s Advocate.
Faced with the threat of having her powers forever bound, Crimson hastily challenges the Head Witch to a battle of magic that she can’t possibly win with her current abilities. Enter Mike, the recovering Devil’s Advocate. Crimson and Mike have undeniable chemistry and are just starting to delve into their relationship when Mike accidentally makes a deal with Crimson to sell her soul to the devil.
This book has me seeking out other books by Carrie Pulkinen! You won’t be disappointed.

Adelia lives the ideal life with love and promise of a bright future with her husband. That all changed when she left to live as a lighthouse keepers wife. The loneliness can really make someone go mad. Her husbands befriends Devon and Adelia ends up falling for him. Adelia is met with Hope that is there to tell her story of love and death. I really enjoyed the twists in the book and Mya O’Malley really made you feel for the characters. I like how she was able to weave the stories into on. I cant wait to read more of what she puts out.

Cursed whispers is a really good book about witches and werewolves. This is the 1st book i’ve read in the series but I didn’t feel lost because it filled in the background pretty well. I will definitely have to go back and read the 1st two books in the series. The witches in this story all have unique powers like Max being able to speak to animals. The love Max shows for Claudia and her daughter right after meeting them is really sweet. The book was entertaining and had a lot of details that made the characters more realistic.

I really liked this story. I was a little apprehensive as I don’t normally read romance, and there were echoes of ‘Twilight’ in the theme (which I did not enjoy), but it was recommended to me, so I decided to give it a go. Very glad I did! The characters are fantastic, all of them brought to life with their own unique personalities and challenges. Livia is an amazing heroine, brave, strong, and very relatable. I loved seeing her find her inner strength, and refusing to compromise on the things that matter to her. The plot was well-thought out, and kept me hooked throughout the book. Some steamy sections, but overall they were secondary to an awesome story and adventure. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.

When I say it is a paranormal romance, I mean its paranormal! Shifters, Vampires, Fae, Egyptian mythology- Lilly Rayman really hit a homerun with this. I was a little lost in the beginning because she throws a lot at you so fast but once the story gets going it truly is worth finishing and to say I am exciting for the next book is a huge understatement. Livvie has my heart and soul, she was such a relatable main character and I loved how strong she was even when she was struggling with all she had to face. Cursed Whispers by A.J. Renee is the third book in the Broderick Coven series. This is a series that seems to just go from strength to strength to strength. So far this book is definitely my favourite of the series. Claudia and Max have such an undeniable chemistry, you can literally feel it on every single page! I was hooked on their story instantly and just had to find out if they would make things work. I also really enjoyed that fact that the book featured a male witch. More often than not I find authors tend to fall into the habit of witches being female and the male being warlocks or wizards. It was refreshing to read a book the decided not to follow this norm. The story itself was great. It was well thought out and developed just right. The author knew just what to do to keep the story moving at the perfect pace. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend – the whole series is definitely with your time!

This is the 2nd book in the Soul Connection series. This is a Paranormal Ghost novel and is 521 pages. This story follows Logan and Angel. Logan is a drunken and bitter man whose sister, Andi, was murdered. Angel feels guilty about Andi’s death. Angel witnessed it and never spoke up. Angel has an accident at the hands of Logan, but Logan does not remember what happened. Angel was in a coma, and when she awakens, she is in someone else’s body and has no idea how she got there. Why can she not get back to her own body?
I found this paranormal, fantasy romance both entertaining and engaging. The synopsis does not give much away so I was looking forward to getting immersed in the storyline and I was not disappointed. Lillie has grown up with hushed whispers about the blue skinned Zayed and has been taught to fear them. However, when she has an encounter with the Zayed she realises that the whispers and rumours are not true and changes her mind about them. When she is kidnapped by a sorcerer who believes she knows more than she does Lillie is taken deeper into the Zayed’s world. As she gets to know, Chief, Clay, Heath and Brian she discovers that she feels more at home in their world than in her own and has to figure out her role to save both herself and the Zayed community. This is a short, fast paced read with an exciting and original storyline which flows wells. The plot is full of drama, fantasy, romance, wit, and suspense all of which had me hooked from start to finish. The authors wonderful world building and descriptive narrative really bought the Zayed and their community to life and I fell in love with all the main characters. The cliffhanger ending has left me looking forward to book two.

There are a lot of books circulating about werewolves and vampires. However, this book had a unique spin on it. Are they meant for one another? “An Unexpected Bonding” really drew my attention because of the dynamic between the characters and their particular species. I loved this book! I would highly suggest reading this series in order, this story will be better enjoyed having the full backstory of other characters. Just like the other books in this series, Cursed Whispers, is entertaining, unexpected, intense, heart wrenching and basically amazing.

This paranormal story is the third in the Broderick Coven series. I highly recommend reading the previous books. She does an amazing job writing about shifting and romance. She is able to intertwine the two worlds. I love the romance between characters as well. In this story, a veterinarian rescued a wolf, but he did not realize who he really rescued. He is able to talk to animals which is when he realizes the beauty underneath the wolf. The problem is that the wolf has some rough past. Will he take the challenge of her past or will it be too much for him? I could not put this book down until I was done with it. I highly recommend this book and series for entertainment to escape the world for a while.

This was a new author for me, Lilly Rayman. An unexpected Bonding was a more take on the vampire/shifter romance. In most vampire/shifter romances they are enemies and don’t fall in love. In this one there is a love story between a vampire and shifter. Darius and Livvie’s story is filled with mystery, romance, and obstacles they must overcome. There are vampires, shifters, faeries as well as mythology in this tale! All the components of a great story. It was done well too, there are a lot of factors that could have made it confusing but, because of its length and detail it was not. There was a lot of jumping around in her story from different characters to different timelines. This did not bother me that much, although I thought it could have been just as good a story without as much jumping. Throughout the story you can’t help but root for Darius and Livvie through everything. If you enjoy mythology, supernatural elements or both, this book is for you!

An Unexpected Bonding is the first book in The Unexpected Trilogy. It is a very original paranormal, romance that includes werewolves, vampires and Fae with drama, and chemistry along side a secret society. It tells two point of views, which I love. This is my very first read from this author and I loved it! The story was very interesting with great characters and an amazing story line. Was intrigued from the start and until the very end. It definitely had it’s own flair. So excited to read the next story in it’s series!

An Unexpected Bonding was a very interesting read for me, filled with fantasy, myth, romance, drama and more it had me flipping the pages quickly to see what happens next. Ms. Rayman leads her readers down a very unexpected path and her words are so well written that you never see what is coming next. Ms. Rayman incorporates several wonderfully written characters and their stories but by the end of the book she ties up all the loose ends perfectly. At 395 pages An Unexpected Bonding isn’t too short or too long but more like the perfect length for a lover of the fantasy genre. So if you are looking for a new wonderful fantasy book to read this weekend I highly recommend An Unexpected Bonding by Lilly Rayman.

There has been a war between the werewolves and the vampires for thousands of years, it is bloody, it is gruesome and it may be about to end thanks to a faerie prophecy which foretold of future events that would shake the paranormal world to its core. A member of the vampire council is cursing the werewolves near to his territory, they seem to be allowing themselves to be seen by humans so that they can scare them away and move into the territory and this vampire is not impressed in the slightest by it because their preference is to drink straight from the vein and this can’t happen if there are no humans. At the same time, another of the council has a plan to try and broker a peace deal between the two warring factions, however, it needs to go before the Council before it can be approved. Meanwhile, Livvie is the daughter of the Alpha of the Romulus pack but she is wolf-less and because of this she has been living away from her pack for the last ten years in Texas on theThunder Hollow cattle ranch her late fiance left to her after his death and this year is the first year where her bulls will be entered into the local rodeo, she is still grieving his loss and feels it as acutely as she did when it happened three years ago, but life goes on, she works hard and hopefully will see the fruits of her labours soon. All of a sudden Livvie senses someone entering the bar who shouldn’t be there, it is a vampire, she is wary but engages him in polite but stunted conversation, but his expectations are disappointed when the friend he is looking for in Livvie cannot be called out and as she walks away, he is left surprised and she returns to her home.
As the vampire Council convenes, they discuss the proposal set before them, there is opposition and discussions around the who, the where and the why, but they eventually agree that it is a good proposal and that the werewolves should be approached about iy, meanwhile the Romulus pack is disturbed by news of a rival pack moving into territory near where Livvie is living, so a few of the members decide to go down to the rodeo and use it as an excuse to see Livvie at the same time. Livvie is hard at work preparing her cattle when her friend comes to look them over, she is surprised that he is not alone and that he has brought someone who wants to work at the ranch with her, as he introduces Darius to Livvie she cannot help but feel drawn to him, however, she keeps that to herself as she feels guilty about the feelings it stirs up with regards to Nate. Darius is just as drawn to Livvie as she was to him, although he also doesn’t want to acknowledge his feelings over the grief he still feels at the loss of his late wife, three years before, so he shuts down the feelings straight away as well.
As the weeks pass, Livvie and Darius fall into a comfortable working relationships on the ranch and when Livvie’s finds out that her pack brothers are coming to visit she is excited, but later on that day she has an accident when she is attempting to fix a windmill on , but when Darius goes to her rescue, the feelings that they are trying so hard to repress come back until the vampire from the bar turns up and that is when she finds out what Darius really is and when another unexpected visitor turns up, her wolf is called to the surface, however, she is strong and has to be temporarily bound again, but the instincts are awakened nonetheless and these are what could get her into trouble. As the rodeo approaches and the pack find out about Darius for the first time, fists almost fly and Livvie’s true nature starts to show through, this shocks her family, however when the rival pack kidnap Livvie, everything else is put on the back burner as Darius realises exactly how deep his feelings for Livvie really run.
Will the werewolves and the vampires be able to work together to return Livvie and rescue her from the clutches of the rival pack, or will she be able to free herself when the full moon rises? Will the prophecy play out as planned and a peace be brokered, or will things derail the plans and go awry? This is a complex and exciting journey through the history of vampires , werewolves and the faerie while keeping romance in full flow, it will draw you in and land along for the bumpy ride in more ways than one.

I am not going to lie when I read the blurb to this book,—while pulled my interest—I was like ‘oh this is going to be a typical runaway find love trope.’ I thought I had the whole story mapped out. Boy was I wrong! This book pulled me into the story almost immediately and I am glad for it! Maxwell is a Broderick witch and he is gifted with the ability to speak to animals along with some telekinesis. Enter Claudia, a werewolf, on the run from a massive psychopath that had held her captive for 8 years. This book was delightful. Now I am going to go back and read the other books by this author because it was that good. I definitely recommend this book.

The main characters of Cursed Sight are witches, Ethan and Serena. There are other magical characters in this story such as shifters and demons. Oh my!
While I did not read book 1, I really liked this story. And now I know I need to read the first book in this series, obviously Brandy and Ryan’s story is something that I need to know.
Cursed Sight is about Ethan finding his powers and learning what he sees and how to prevent his visions from becoming a reality. His story looks like it begins in book 1 so all the more reason to read it! Serena is the coven high priestess. Her powers surpass almost everyone’s, but she too, has lessons to learn, like who might be trying to get rid of her. Helping Ethan with his powers may protect her as well.
Ready for book 3…wondering if it will be Peter’s turn or maybe Max? or one of the other brothers?

Each story is getting better and better. Loved these characters. Loved their protectiveness, their devotion, and their energy! Renee writes about a magical world I can imagine being a part of, a world that I want to be a part of.
Many stories build up to the climax and rush the ending causing a letdown feeling, but not Renee. The buildup is intense and well written. The climax was paced just right in this story, I did not feel any disappointment at the “ending”.
Every time I read another shifter story by Renee; I remember just how much I love them! While this is the third in the Broderick Coven Series, it could possibly read as a stand alone if you didn’t already have the first two. (FYI the others as just as good! You will want them too!) The main characters for each book is a different couple but from the Broderick family. Cursed Whispers is about Max Broderick, the veterinarian. The veterinarian that can talk to animals. He finds an injured wolf who turns out to be Claudia, a wolf shifter in need of more than just a doctor’s help. Luckily, Max is special. And ready to fight, protect and love.

Blue Summer Part One By Everly Taylor ☆☆☆☆☆ Paranormal Romance with suspense is what this book holds for you. Full length and ready to be read. What a fun story to read.
Lillie life is turning a corner of falsehood. Everything she had been told growing up, the fears she carried were so very different as an adult. Good thing Lillie has an open mind, because she has stumbled into quite a mess. First her purse is taken off her shoulder, at which point she takes her heels off and in pursuit of the creep. Did I mention Zayed (The Blue Men)? She is much stronger than even she knows. Her strong will will either be her demise or saving grace. You must read the book for there will be no spoilers here.
I have not read anything from Everly Taylor in years. I am so pleased I took a chance with this story. As always she does not disappoint. You can’t help but fall in love with the blue men. In fact you can’t help falling In love with all of the characters. I love where this book goes and look forward to getting back to reading more from Everly Taylor. Job well done Everly Taylor! Well Done! Bring on Book Two.

Blue Summer Part One by Everly Taylor is a fast paced story and exciting. I found it to be a pretty quick read because I got straight into it. I read it all in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen. I enjoyed the overall storyline of the book. The idea was good and well thought out. The characters really added to this – especially Lillie. I found her to be engaging and likeable right from the start. This book does end on a cliffhanger so I will definitely be looking to read book two. But it is well worth your time and thoroughly enjoyable.
