“The House of Arsceneaux” by Caterina Novelliere is a captivating blend of past lives, curses, vampires, and gods and goddesses. Gage and Caitlin share a mysterious connection, with Gage eagerly awaiting Caitlin’s lost memories. The book is filled with twists and turns on their path to a redeeming love story. While the introduction of time travel towards the end was a bit challenging to follow, I thoroughly enjoyed their tragic journey. Overall, “The House of Arsceneaux” is a mesmerizing read that seamlessly combines supernatural elements with a compelling romance.

I found this book to be a very interesting take on magic fairy tales. Each story really leaves you thinking. Letters From a Wu was my favorite. What a fascinating thought and very creative. The writing is imaginative and will catch the mind of the reader. Each story is different yet it builds as ir goes. A good read that I would recommend to fantasy lovers.

This is my first time reading this author and now I feel like I need to read more of their stories! The story drew me in very quickly with all the little hints as to what was going to happen. And just as I thought I had it figured out, there was MORE! It was a good read, quick paced and fun. I enjoyed the characters and how she wasn’t a damsel in distress that needed to be rescued. I look forward to more from this world that the author has written.

This talented author is a new author for me and I am very happy to have found her. She weaved a fantastic storyline and gave us readers a great mix of characters to both love and hate. Evariste and Caitlin in particular were wonderfully written characters with amazing, undeniable chemistry who draw you in right from the start. I was captivated by this book and highly recommend you all give it a read! I can’t wait to read more by this wonderful author.

I loved this book! Towards the end it seemed to lose my interest as I was easily distracted from it but it could be just my ADHD. I loved the flow of the story and attention to detail. This is an amazing love story with gods and ancient beings. There isn’t anything bad I have to say about it!

Loved Loved Loved this book. This is the first book I have read from this author and I will be reading more for sure. She has a way of writing that brings you right into the characters and keeps you there.
Fate can be a cruel beast at times and these characters prove it.
Everiste (Gage to his family and friends) is a man/vampire that will not sell his company to anyone, although they try their hardest to get him too. He’s a successful business man with a penchant for fishing and being away from people. He’s stubborn and very protective of those he loves.
Caitlin (Cate) (Cher) is planning on vacation when her boss strong arms her into a working holiday. She is to investigate Everiste’s company for new clients wanting to buy it. The one problem is that he will not meet with her and keeps disappearing until his sister gets involved.
There is so much going on behind the scenes that we learn as we read. I ended up reading this book in one day as I couldn’t put it down. The things that are revealed will keep you reading and excited and pained all at the same time.

Fantastic story that gave me what I love about vampire romance…intriguing story, vampires, healers, glamour, secrets, danger, time present and past, and with a romance that never died with twists and turns along the way…the story of Evariste and Caitlin had me from page 1.
There has always been a connection between Evariste and Caitlin, but in this day and age, Caitlin had no idea what was to become of her and her connection to Evariste until she was head of a project when other clients were interested in buying Evariste’s business.
Evariste wanted nothing to do with anyone buying him out until he finally meets Caitlin for the first time. The connection between them, Evariste knew that Caitlin was from his past many years ago of someone he loved dearly but could not save.

I love a good vampire love story so when I read about this book, I was excited to read it. The book did not disappoint.
Caitlin has been counting down the minutes to her well deserved vacation, that is until her boss gives her a last minute job that will cut into her personal time. She has to go to a property and scope it out for her clients who are potential buyers of the company. The owner of the company, Evariste, has no interest in selling his company and skips the meeting with Caitlin but after his sister blindsides him with her as a dinner guest, he is all of a sudden for Caitlin snooping around.
Evariste thinks that Caitlin is his dead wife reincarnated based on her unique colored eyes matching hers exactly. Caitlin remembers nothing of her past life, if she is even the wife. Evariste tries to get her to remember by traveling back into the past. He tries to get her to trust him and fall back in love with him. They were fated mates after all. Can Caitlin trust him? With danger lurking around the corner, she really has no choice but to trust Evariste.
I love Caitlin’s character. She is stubborn, sassy and will say almost anything even if it’s not the best idea. The only downfall about this book is that at times I found it was confusing to keep track of if you were in the past or present. As time goes on, it’s easier to know where, or should I say when, you are.

Forbidden Blood (The Shadow Chronicles Book 4) by C.R. Robertson 4 Stars
This was a great instalment to this series. It focused mainly on Kimber who up until now we’ve only seen a bit of. Most of the series was focused on Tasha so this was refreshing. A new character was introduced whom I loved, Fabian. He is a shaman but is called many other names as well. He is powerful, kind and helps Kimber break out of her shell. This is their love story. It is definitely not an easy one. They have many obstacles in their way, too many creatures want to kill them. Will they get a happy ending?
Vampires and Lycans are finally working together against a common enemy. There are so many different hellsoawn. They are struggling to keep up to kill them all. They kill one and many more return. With the entrance of Fabian, he teaches them a lot. This book is filled with action, drama and plenty of secrets are revealed. This is definitely a must read but I suggest that you start at the beginning.

This is the 4th book in The Shadow Chronicles series. I completely love this paranormal romance series. A mixture or vampires and lycans with added danger means these stories are definately a great read. I highly recommend reading this series in order so you can get the complete story. The author has done a great job with these stories and the character growth in each book keeps me reading time and time again.
We are back with Kimber. She has now become of age and is ready to join the vampire army. Her family has kept her hidden and protected until now. Kimber had special magical gifts which she needs to keep hidden from her leader However when he discovers them she becomes just another pawn in the deadly war that is raging on. However when she meets a dark King this could all change. With danger, Suspense, magic, Romance, hidden agendas and corruption this book is definately a page turner for anyone who love paranormal stories with a side helping of romance.

This book had me hooked right from the beginning. It was so well written and descriptive that it almost felt like you could reach out and touch everything and know what everything smelt and see. The characters each had their own little back story which I absolutely loved to read about, it’s like little breadcrumbs of knowing and understanding who and where they all come from and are going, thou. The farther I got into the book the more I couldn’t put it down and wanted to know more. I can not wait to read more about Amber and Chloe’s adventures of what this prophecy holds and what is to be done.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy this author’s writing skills as well as their ability to keep me engaged throughout the story. This book is no different. It is a well written story with immortals, magical powers and a woman who has been hidden until she is able to join the vampire army. This is a story that has much going on but the author did a great job keeping me coming back for more. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world with ease. They have great growth as well as growth with the plot. They also kept the story interesting and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed reading this paranormal story. I highly recommend this book.

Yay! Series continues I was soo happy to see that there was a fourth book in this series. I love the Shadow Chronicles and this was a brilliant addition. This has something for everyone – paranormal romance, action, magical beings, drama, danger, fated mates and more. As with the previous books writing draws you in and brings the reader into a world of vampires and lycans. This is Kimberly and Fabian’s story and follows on from Tasha and Levi’s story. I can not recommend this book and the whole series enough. Bring on Book 5!!

Theresa Van Spankeren is one of my new favorite authors of all time when it comes to the paranormal! The War of Destiny series has me on the edge of my seat and wanting more! I am so excited for this series to continue! Juliana has been building up her skills for this moment, and now we understand that she’s not crazy, but that she has a power that has not been seen in a vampire in a long time! Will she be able to master this skill before she has to battle her King Valentino, or will she not be strong enough for this battle that’s been building since the time of her transition to a vampire? Theresa Van Spankeren outdid herself on this one, adding a new character, Lane, to our cast of characters that we’ve grown to love and seek retribution for. Fallen Soul Book #4 in the War of Destiny series will not disappoint in one bit! This book follows Lane as he is on the run from Valentino’s minions, on a quest to get home safely. He runs into a group of vampires who seem to live very differently than anything he’s ever known. Will the beloved group we’ve been following since Book #1 be the answer to Lane’s problems or will they be another obstacle in his path? Lane questions whether they be friends or foes. Will he be able to trust this odd group of vampires, or will they cause him trouble as Valentino has? I am in awe at how amazing the War of Destiny series by Theresa Van Spankeren is getting. I did not think anything could stand up to Book #1 but this is now by far my favorite in the series so far! Juliana has betrayed her people and now must seek help from her old Ka-tet partner Matthew, but will he turn her away or will they be able to work together to figure out what is going on? Will these apparitions that Juliana continues to see ever make sense, why are they haunting her so? This series just continues to grow on me more and more as I progress in the series. I had no idea the characters could continue to develop any more than they already have, but as I delve into each new book they continue to grow in detail, and I understand them even more fully. Theresa Van Spankeren continues the War of Destiny series with Book #2 Pursuit into Darkness. I could not put this book down from the second I picked it up! Despite it being 70 years later for Juliana, for me no time had passed at all, we jump right back into the life and adventures of Juliana and all of her vampiric friends. There are so many well-developed characters that we fondly remember from War of Destiny Book #1 as well as some not-so-great new characters that we get to know more. I just love how full of action and excitement this series is, and love that it helps to fulfill my love of reading about vampires and the magic surrounding them. Lost Soul is the first book of the War of Destiny series by Theresa Van Spankeren. This book had an amazing development of characters, they were so realistic. Juliana, our main character is such a strong, vibrant young woman when we first meet her in the story, so full of life and hopes of a future filled with love. This is sadly not the future that she is meant to have, and it just broke my heart! The abuse that she endures amazes me, it is so realistic, you feel like you are right there with her, feeling her fears, her pains, and her grief over a life that she was not meant to have. This book is so intriguing, it primarily takes place in view of Juliana’s life and all that she must endure, when there is a knock at the window, as she answers the call her whole life will come to a fork in the road where she needs to decide which path she wants to take, remain in her personal hell, or accept the help of this stranger. Colour me a happy little bookworm right now. This right here is pure paranormal perfection!! One of my top three books for the year so far!!! All the stars!!!! Forbidden Blood is the spellbinding fourth instalment in The Shadow Chronicles by C.R Robertson. I devoured the first three books and they immediately hit my favourites list, so to say I was excited to get my hands on this fourth instalment is a bit of an understatement. I shoved everything else I was reading aside, and plunged right in to submerge myself in the story. I was so engrossed in everything that it only took me a couple of hours to read it as I practically inhaled it. I got to the end and turned around and started it again- it was THAT GOOD!!! I had such high expectations for this book, as I adored the previous books (well lets be honest here, I have read and adored ALL Ms. Robertsons books) so this had a lot to live up to. But, again, Ms. Robertson didn’t disappoint conjuring an incredibly riveting read that has taken my addiction to C.R Robertson’s work to a whole new high- but it’s an addiction I have no intention of quitting any time, ever! This is definitely another jewel to add to Ms. Robertson’s crown. Even though this is the fourth book in the series, it could be read as a stand alone if you wished. But in saying that, you would be seriously missing out on some spellbinding reading if you didn’t read the first three books- plus there is some continuing story arc as well as some shared timeline and other details that you will want to have on board to be able to fully appreciate this exciting instalment, and the series as a whole. This is Kimber and Fabian’s story- we met Kimber previously as she is Tasha’s younger sister (Tasha and Levi’s story was in the previous three books). Kimber has never felt like she belonged. Always felt like she wasn’t ‘enough’. Always felt like she lived in the shadow of her older, more talented and capable sister. But fate has had its own plan for her all along, and the time has come for her destiny to be unleashed. Get set, because Kimber’s world is about to take a very intriguing turn. Add a swoony, smouldering, mysteriously sexy man to the mix, and the sparks fly. This is a fast-paced, action-packed, adrenaline fuelled, paranormal romance, with a complex, multi-layered, and addictive storyline. The story is incredible, with vampires, shifters, Lycans, magic, different realms, demon hellspawn, witches, sizzling chemistry, politics, agendas, drama, danger, secrets, paranormal beings, battle/fight scenes, violence, adventure, sizzling encounters, fated mates, forbidden romance, and incredibly high stakes. Again, I absolutely love Ms. Robertson’s take on Vampire lore, her imagination knows no bounds, and tells a very compelling and exciting story. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READING!!! Sooooo my mind is blown. I had a feeling while reading this book that there had to be more to the story than just Cate being his wife reincarnated. I just didn’t expect it would be so much more. This book had me in such a hold. It is easily in my top 5 for the year so far. Just know that you are in for a hell of a ride. People are more than what they seem and what you think you know about the supernatural isn’t quite the same here.

This was a clever tale! I love dark paranormal romances as a genre but I Iove it even more when they blend myths into the package! This book begins with a glossary that in and of itself was daunting. So many cultures! However, as you read, this author spins a tale over years and years, but manages to keep it interesting! The female protagonist is clever and strong. The male protagonist has actual depth, not just a hunk with a dark side. Definitely worth the read!

Mystery. Oh, where to begin. This is the first book I have read but the incredible Caterina Novelliere, and I can’t wait to read more. The cover was honestly what pulled me in, but the mystery filled synopsis made me want to know more. Primarily told from Caitlin, and Evariste’s perspectives multiple other characters sides are used in a seamless flow that fully immerses the reader into the building mystery. Caitlin DeDanann lives in Williamsburg Virginia and works for a top firm. Her boss Sean Watchous took her in and raised her after her parents died for her grandmother, who is still in England. Evariste Arsceneaux is the CEO of Lagniappe Shipping and Ag based in New Orleans Louisiana. According to his sister Allister he once was a much different man than he is now, once taking life in strides now only throws himself into fishing and working nothing else. After a bad run in with some high-profile clients (Dante and Rayne) at her local coffee shop Caitlin is not impressed with the men hiring her firm to buy Arsceneaux’s Company. With her upcoming vacation to New Orleans her boss was able to bribe her into doing the onsite investigation for Dante and Rayne. Early on you discover the level of the mystery when Sean is surprised Caitlin doesn’t recognize Dante and Rayne, from her memories not the morning coffee shop incident. Dante even mentions he shifted the cup to save her white blouse. Allister and Alcee were shocked when seeing Caitlin, and Alcee says seeing her picture is the only reason he offered a tour of the company to get her there. Allister takes the next step, forcing a meeting between Evariste and Caitlin. Familiarity fills Caitlin when meeting him, a sense of comfort when near him. Evariste, he knows she is long gone how is it possible after three hundred years she has returned. Will Caitlin ever figure out the cause of her familiarity and comfort towards Evariste? Can Evariste escape the ghosts of his past determined to bury him? The characters the author creates, and the mystery that fills every chapter keeps you on your toes guessing what will happen next. While the world around them is primarily reality based the author brings a level of otherworldliness to the details. I admit I am very excited for the next installment in this new series to learn more about this world and the characters bringing it to life.

I love C.R Robertson’s writing so I was jumping with joy when I saw this new book was out. Forbidden Blood is the fourth masterfully crafted book in the amazing original Shadow Chronicles by C.R. Robertson. Who doesn’t love a good story that is full of Lycans and Vampires. This series just keeps getting better and better sometimes 5 stars doesn’t seem enough. This engrossing paranormal forbidden romance story has something for supernatural lovers and as with the other books in the series it will blow you away. CR’s writing paints a vivid picture each and every character and the world building and wordsmithing allows my imagination to run with the possibilities. Forbidden Blood is action packed, danger and secrets, drama and adventure, paranormal creatures, magical beings, fated mates and magic. Pawns are being used in a deadly game of war where there are hidden agendas, corruption and where evil is lurking. This paranormal suspense is a sweet seduction at its best. It is so easy to get swept up in this journey and pulled into this world. This cleverly woven tale is pulled together with multiple layers and complex threads that kept me glued to the pages. I really can’t wait for more.

Julia is a young woman in appearance, but in reality, she is a vampire and albeit she is young in comparison to others, she has had to endure more than most. It is well known that vampires gain abilities as thru age, but Julia instead struggles with a feeling akin to madness, but all that changed when she was confronted by something impossible and this is where the truth became known and finally, accepted.
After all that happened in the build up to when she betrayed the Resistance and her ka-tet, between hearing voices, seeing apparitions and realistic dreams, all the trust her group had built up was destroyed and Julia has been trying to make up for it ever since. They all thought she was delusional and so did she, but this harm went deeper than anyone initially realised, so when Julia is at her most defeated, the light finally shines through and help is sought from another group of vampires who can hopefully teach Julia about her gift, the ability to see and hear the dead, something which hasn’t been seen in centuries and would explain why Valentino was able to take the advantages which he did.
This is when it finally looks like life can get back in track in a manner of speaking and when the Resistance find out that Julia isn’t insane, they want proof, but will Julia be able to master her gift enough in the time frame they give her, or will Valentino come to throw another spanner in the works? This is another fast paced installment into this paranormal romance which is full of action, adventure and vampires galore as you race across countries, as time runs out and complications arise to detail any attempts at normality.

Forbidden Blood is the fourth book in The Shadow Chronicles Series. This is a wonderfully written Paranormal/ Fantasy Suspense/Romance that will captivate you from the beginning and its hard as heck to put down. I read in one afternoon. This author is one of my favorites and each book is just as good as the last. Her style of writing and attention to detail makes for an epic story. The characters are relatable, fully developed and creative. They definitely bring the story to life and you feel like you are apart of the adventure. This is Kimber and Fabian’s story. Kimber is empathic she senses people’s pain and emotions. She also has visions . These abilities aren’t normally found in vampires. Kimber has been held captive by her very selfish leaders. Fabian is shaman and watches over the world and magic. He’s very different from others as he genuinely cares for others. These two together can they join forces together and keep all evil away? I’m afraid im going to give to much away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. As always I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Forbidden Blood is Book Four in The Shadow Chronicles Series. If you have not yet read the first few books in the series, I highly recommend that you do, or you may feel a bit lost. In Book One we meet Tasha, who is a vampire with special abilities. She meets Levi, a Lycan by chance one night and the two fall in love. Their love was forbidden because vampires and Lycans are enemies, so their love remained a secret for a while. When their relationship was brought out in the open, they found a way to make it work and be together. Inevitably, war ripped them apart although they vowed to find their way back to one another. In the first book we were introduced to Tasha’s younger sister, Kimber. This book continues with the overall story from the first few books with the focus being on Kimber’s story.
Kimber is also a Vampire with special abilities that were utilized by her coven leader for years while he held her in captivity. She can see the future, the past, and sense the emotions of others which leaves her feeling fragile and vulnerable. A lot of these feelings come from Kimber always being treated as though she were fragile and helpless, which has inevitably left her feeling helpless and like a victim. She does not believe in herself and feels alone. Her family has kept her special abilities hidden until now when she is at the age to be conscripted into the Vampire army. When evil forces and dark magic threaten to crumble the barriers between worlds a Shaman is sent to keep the balance of the worlds and watch over the mortals. Fabian is the one person Kimber can turn to because he understands her and sees Kimber as more than a weapon against evil. He makes her feel safe and helps her to realize that she is a strong and powerful woman.
This story, and this series, were wonderfully written with detailed scenes that fully immerse you into the storyline. The characters of Kimber and Fabian complement each other nicely. From the beginning of the series, I felt as though there was more to Kimber, but she was treated as though she was fragile and needed protection. It was nice to see Fabian enter her life, protect her, guide her, and help her to realize she was not a victim. Fabian gives Kimber the confidence boost she needs so that she feels strong and powerful. A great read with dark magic, vampires, Lycans, shamans, danger, mystery, suspense, love, war, and good versus evil.

I really enjoyed Kimber & Fabian’s story. Watching these two as their relationship developed was quite the interesting item. I really enjoyed watching Kimber grow into her talents and develop her Earth Goddess skills. She deserves someone like Fabian to love her. Fabian kind of gives up everything to love her. Seeing the sacrifice he makes shows his devotion. I have enjoyed watching the characters in this series grow and develop. The writing is fantastic and fun to follow. The storyline is entertaining. It’s a wonderful story and a definite must read.
