Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1)

I love paranormal romances involving shifters. As this is a new author to me, I was excited to read this book. Kodiak is a wolf shifter who must protect Tamaska. The problem is that she doesn’t want his protection. She is attracted to him but is fighting it all the time. She is stubborn and hardheaded. He must protect her against the vampires whom she knows nothing about. His alpha forbids him from going anywhere near her claiming that there are more important matters to tend to. Kodiak can’t explain his attraction towards her especially because she is a human. Be it as it may, he decides to risk everything for her.

This is a great start to what I believe will be a fantastic series. The foundation was built beautifully with just enough information, drama and intrigue to keep you interested in finding out more. I love the chemistry between the two main characters. They fit perfectly together. There is obviously a lot more going on and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.

Humans, Shifters and Vampires was all I needed to know in order to pick up this book and start reading and I am so glad that I did. This is the first book of this new series and it will leave you with a lot of questions unanswered at the end BUT this will definitely keep you intrigued and I am sure not so patiently waiting for the next book. I know I will be more than happy to return to this storyline and cast of characters because I need to know more! I have to say I was hooked and intrigued with Kodiak right from the very start. There was just something that drew me to this character while it took me a long time to come around to Tamaska. I still have mixed feelings about her but I am sure as this series continues and we learn more that I will grow to understand her more. This is also a new author for me and I am now officially a fan and looking forward to more.

This was an awesome book with a crazy good character dynamic between the MCs. With conflict and chaos, danger and excitement, this book had it all! The supernatural aspect really brought it home for me and i found this to be a really enjoyable exciting read. It was a nail biter for sure and I was in a race with no one to the end.

Let me start out saying if you don’t enjoy stories ending on cliffhangers, this one is not for you. This is both the first is a series and the first book by lilliana Rose. There is a bit of suspense, mystery, and romance. We have Tamaska, a human who is hired to organize the sale of the Blood Opal. It’s stolen before this happens; however, Kodiak, a member of the security team, knows it was the vampires who are responsible for the theft. His werewolf pack runs the security company hired by Tamaska, and now they must get the gem back. Will Tamaska find out the whole truth? How will she handle it? Will she choose a side? Can Tamaska and Kodiak overcome their differences?

While I really do not enjoy stories that are true cliffhangers, I didn’t realize this one was until I was too invested. I really enjoyed the authors writing style and can’t wait yo see how she has this story play out.

Like the 1st book, this was a great quickie!
Steamy & sexy with a surprising little twisty bit. There were so many cute moments & a few that made me tear up. The cruise setting through most of the book makes this a fantastic beach read or anytime you have a couple hours to escape into a naughty fantasy! Be careful, even MORE crushes on fictional men could happen.

This book is like a good quickie – flirty, steamy, & fun! Most of this is smut, & the rest feels a bit rushed to get back to the smut, but I am not mad at it ! Still a super sweet & cute love story with clever, lowkey suspense to keep things exciting in a different way. Great for a 2 or 3 hour break from the real world to have even more crushes on fictional men.

Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1)Shadow Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Lilliana Rose, and I was excitedly surprised at how quickly I was entranced. The synopsis grabbed my interest as I am a big Twilight fan so I wanted to give it a chance, only to be blown away. Tamaska Lane is an event planner with big career goals, that depend on tonight and the Blood Opal sale being a success. Kodiak Day is the Beta of the Shadow Pack; the wolf shifters have gotten into security to earn funds to live and provide for their pack.
The moment Tamaska and Kodiak first see each other it is like an invisible tether is linking them together. Each of them fighting the magnetic pull as they try to do their jobs. In an instant everything changes and becomes more complicated, Kodiak gets a whiff of a vampire blood scent. Suddenly on high alert and looking for the source he and his team are more interested in the Blood Opal. For years the shifters and the vampires have had a treaty, they each stick to their own boundaries and don’t cross so why are they suddenly on shifter lands now. After speaking with a stranger Tamaska finds herself off kilter, and her mind a haze with details slipping her mind about him. The lights flicker once, twice and they are plunged into darkness. When the lights finally come back on the Blood Opal is gone and chaos begins, Tamaska determined to blame the “hot guard” that was more concerned with her safety than staying next to the opal. Being a last minute hire for the job Kodiak is confused about the importance of the Blood Opal, and why the vampires would want it. He is also angry at the fact his mind is drawn to a human, when he is known for his hatred of humans. Both Tamaska and Kodiak have one goal, to find out who stole the opal and return it. Kodiak wants to find it to prove his innocence and prove his competence to Tamaska. Tamaska wants to find the opal to secure her job and make things up to her boss Carlene for losing it in the first place though it couldn’t have been expected.
Why do the vampires want the Blood Opal? Will Tamaska and Kodiak succeed in finding the precious gem? How will their magnetic pull affect the outcome? The world, the characters, the plot everything about this book pulls you in leading you deeper into the world of the author determined to find answers. I couldn’t put it down and sometimes found myself trying to guess what or who the thief was. I can’t wait to learn more about Tamaska and Kodiak in the next book in the series Marked Wolf, May 11th, 2023.

The description of this book pulled me in straight away. I loved the whole premise of the story and wanted to see how things were going to play out. The story itself I think could have done with a bit more development but I still found it enjoyable. The characters were a great fit for each other and I loved the obstacles they had to overcome. As the first book in a new series I think this is a great start and I am looking forward to what else the author will produce.

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This one was hard to read. I hate books that make my eyes sweat. It just isn’t fair. Minus that, another excellent book in the series.

Jocelyn met her best friends in the weirdest of ways, she dreamt of them. One night, she met Cameron and Reed in her dreams. They became fast friends, best friends. She wasn’t sure they were real. They couldn’t be, right? That wasn’t how you met people. But she had them for a while, then tragedy struck leaving Jocelyn broken, empty and alone. She refused to see them in her dreams. After 6 long years, she popped back in one night just to check in. They were there. Just like they had always been.

Cameron and Reed, cousins, had tried to move on but they couldn’t. When Jocelyn reappeared, it felt like they were whole again. And they had each other again. Until Jocelyn ran, again. When a chance encounter all found them on the same cruise ship, Jocelyn found out just how real Cameron and Reed were. Together, they found strength and love. Getting their families to accept their nontraditional relationship was going to be the next hurdle.

I totally get why Jocelyn pulled away the second time. I adore how this author handles telling the families and friends of the throuple. I am sure in one of these, someone will not accept them and that will be part of what the throuple has to overcome in the story to be together. These short, intense reads are a delightful palate cleanser for some of the darker stuff I read. This author is on my permanent TBR list. Another fantastic book!! Keep’em coming!!

This second stand-alone in the Made in Heaven series just like the first book is extremely well written. I wasn’t really comfortable with the whole cousin aspect of it, but the more I read the more I liked it. You have Jocalyn who just lost her mother to a tragic death, and she doesn’t have anything remotely related to love in her mind. Then she starts having these dreams about these two wonderful men. She starts questioning if it is real or not. When she finally meets these two on a Mediterranean cruise, she then realizes that her dreams were true. Does she accept these two men in her life, or does she push them away and lets guilt win? The up’s and downs that the MC feels just make you want to wrap her in a warm blanket and tell her that everything is going to be okay. I can’t wait to see if there will be more in the Made in Heaven series!

This is the first book in a new series and for me this seemed to be setting the scene of what is to come. The story is a slow build one, not overly fast paced but easy to enjoy. I liked reading about the characters for the most part however I found the female mc to be a bit too stubborn and difficult at times. However, she worked well with Kodiak and the connected the story quite well. I am looking forward to having some questions answered in the next books.

Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1)Shadow Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shadow Wolf is the first book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. Tamaska has hired wolf shifter Kodiak and his pack as security for an event she’s running. She’s unimpressed from the start, when Kodiak turns up as the event is about to start and refuses to follow her directions. She’s even less impressed when he fails to prevent the theft of the precious opal he’s been hired to protect.

Shadow Wolf introduces us to an intriguing world where vampires and wolf shifters live in a precarious truce alongside oblivious humans. They are powerful but not overpowered – see, for example, the wolf shifters needing to pick up work in security to be able to support themselves financially. Tamaska is oblivious to this world but has been thrown into it whether she likes it or not.

This book gets four stars from me. It would appeal to fans of paranormal romance, particularly werewolf/shifter romance. The next book in the series, which continues Tamaska and Kodiak’s story, is due out in a few months – I’m looking forward to seeing how their story develops!

To redeem himself, Kai accepts an assignment to kill demons that are causing chaos in the mortal realm.

Byron Black is targeted but is saved by Kai. Though he knows there is more than meets the eye with Kai, who is an angel, he can’t seem to stay away from him.

Who wants him dead and why? The journey to find out the answers brings them closer and the attraction becomes hard to ignore. As Byron and Kai get closer, Kai begins to feel sadness because of how his previous relationship ended. Not wanting it to happen again.

When I saw an MM romance, I had to read it. I don’t want to give too much away. It took some time for me to get into the story, but once I did, I could not put the novel down.

This novel is part of the Star Crossed Celestial series but it can be read as a stand-alone. I hope there is more novels in this series.

Emotional
This is the second book in the Made in Heaven series and I loved it as much as the first. Cameron, Reed and Jocelyn have so much to work through to get to their happy ever after. There’s mystery, paranormal, drama and, of course, romance. The chemistry is sizzling. I really enjoyed the down-to-earth feel from the characters. They weren’t flashy or fake. A great addition to the a wonderful series. Recommend.

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m obsessed with this series and I hope the author doesn’t stop at two books. I recently read the first book and I was excited to jump into Ocean’s Three. I kind of liked Ocean’s Three better. These books are a different perspective on soulmates/romance. Who knew soulmates could be more than two people. This book gives you that and so much more. Plus it gets any woman’s fantasies churning when you jump into a MMF romance. I wouldn’t believe you if you told me otherwise, but I digress.
Cameron, Reed, and Jocelyn meet in their dreams. Not very conventional but it works. Of course Cameron and Reed being cousins know it’s not just a dream. That it’s very real vivid situations that they discuss between one another at length. Jocelyn on the other hand doesn’t feel they are real, so she does what she feels is best to protect her heart. She cuts them off. That is until a very real Cameron and Reed show up on the same cruise she’s on for work. Now what?
This is their adventure. This is their story. The author pulls you in and gets you invested. You feel what the characters feel at times, which I attribute to great writing. When an author can get one emotionally invested in their work, it just shows how wonderful their work actually is. And this author definitely has me invested.
This may be the second book in this series but it’s no way connected to the first book. It’s very much a standalone novel. One worth reading. Me, I would recommend you read both and decide which one you enjoy more, but that’s just me. I guarantee you will enjoy both!

This is the fourth book in the War of Destiny series. Lane wishes for his home as he’s fleeing from the Vampire King. Will he find a way to survive and find his home again?
I unfortunately did not read the previous books. However, I found myself getting pulled into this story mainly because of the great writing by the author. As you read, you can imagine the danger, adventure, violence, and so much more that Lane is feeling. It’s hard not to turn the page to see what happens next. I will be looking for the other books in this series. I’m sure I missed some aspects of the story and I would like to read about Lane’s prior experiences.

This was a terrific paranormal romance full of steamy scenes and tons of chemistry. I didn’t realize it was the second book in the series, so I just downloaded the first so I can get the full experience. That being said, I wasn’t lost reading this as a standalone and loved it just the same. Cameron, Reed, and Jocelyn have the most amazing chemistry together and the emotions reeled me in. It felt like a rollercoaster of feelings with happiness, grief, mystery, plenty of steamy romance with MFM relationship. I highly recommend picking this one up and going on this sultry adventure with these three beautiful characters. I’m off to read the first one in this series and catch up. I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us, especially if it involves Cameron, Reed, and Jocelyn!

Ocean’s Three
By: Elena Kincaid

This is the second book in the Made in Heaven series, however, it definitely functions as a standalone. I did read the first book and I loved it and this one is just as good if not better.
Cameron is having visions. These visions repeatedly focus on a girl named Jocelyn, one that he definitely doesn’t think exists. However, soon these visions begin to feature his cousin Reed he begins to question what is real and what is not. However, one cruise brings the three of them together and no one can even imagine what will happen from there.
This book is so much different than the first book. It is very well written and definitely tugs on all of your emotions. I definitely recommend this!

Another enjoyable story by this author and the 2nd book in this series, and I loved the this story differed in a sense but stayed true to the MFM relationship.

Cameron has a sense of visions that he sees that include his cousin, Reed and also a girl, Jocelyn.
When the unexpected happens and Jocelyn loses her mother, she pushes away both Cameron and Reed as she deal with this loss. What happens when Jocelyn is at a worksite cruise and she meets Cameron and Reed in the flesh…..emotions run wild.

Will Cameron and Reed hold on to Jocelyn and can they find love and be all together? When Cameron’s visions come into play will he be honest with Reed or Jocelyn or try and protect them when it matters most.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ocean’s Three is the second wonderful book in the Made in Heaven series. I have not long finished the first book Three Made In Heaven and really enjoyed it so was happy to snatch this one up.
As with the first book there are many tropes to this book with ménage à trois, romance, MFM, erotica, paranormal and new adult.
Elena has written another beautiful emotional and heartfelt story. The characters are well written and their story is sexy and steamy, titillating and hot along with some fun.
Fate had somehow tethered them together long before they had ever met. What is real and what is just dreams they don’t know. But that all stopped when tragedy struck. When Fate once again steps in they all find themselves in the one place knowing dreams can come true.
I look forward to what comes next from this author.
