Quinn is a Princess, an Omega, and comes from old blood, strong blood. And she’s a princess on the run. Her parents sudden demise caused her to flee, knowing she must do everything in her power to protect her family’s secret. Even if that meant tying herself to a stranger. Prince Kieran is intrigued by Quinnlynn. Although he’s one of the oldest of his kind, he had never met anyone quite like this Princess. Her offer for marriage after sneaking into his realm was too good to pass up. And so began their twisted love story.
Lexi C. Foss has written a beautiful paranormal love story with mature and dark twists.

4 Stars Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate
Dragonslayer Dragon Heart is the first book in the Dragon Heart Series (Audiobook) and I absolutely enjoyed listening. From the very beginning I was pulled in and I found myself caught up in the story. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and keeping your attention. The different tones pulled me in and had me on the edge a couple of times. There’s definitely some chemistry between them. What will happen when the one man you fall for turns out to be the who was destined to kill you? Saxton and Orelle will soon find out what their destiny has in store for them. I highly recommend listening to this fast paced, action packed Fantasy/Romance to find out what happens next. This is a new author to me but I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from them.

The story teller makes the story and the narrator for this audiobook is proof of that. A smooth, mellow, and enchanting voice flowed chapter by chapter and I enjoyed listening. I loved the story of Apollo and Orelle. You could feel the intensity of their chemistry and attraction beyond the fated pull between them. Tensions are high as they both harbor the secrets that link them. Apollo is determined to regain his soul… but he has to go through Orelle to reclaim it. Has the dragon met her slayer, and will fate determine otherwise?

A vampire seeking retribution. A witch who doesn’t know how to mind her own business. Will their newfound love survive the curse?
Master Romano has one task: settle the centuries-old land feud between the vampires and witches, once and for all. It will be far harder than anyone thought.
Especially, when he meets a sassy witch who captures his attention. The magnetic attraction draws him to her as though she were put on earth just for him. But she has secrets of her own.
Raven should be scared out of her mind, both by what the fanged lord of darkness wants to do to her, and how the coven will react if they learn she’s been helping the enemy who would like nothing better than to get rid of the witches for good.
But that’s far from her greatest problem. When the Consulate suspects Raven of being a spy, Romano is ordered to end her life to prove his loyalty.
Will the king of darkness turn against the woman he loves to maintain his seat on the Consulate or choose her as his mate instead?
Master Romano is the explosive fourth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. It is a deliciously dark, fated mates, forbidden love, vampire romance. You will love these novels where the passion is fiery, the loyalty is fierce, and the stakes are high. While the books in this series are standalones that feature different couples with a guaranteed happily ever after each conclusion, they are best read in order.

The Lauret Grimoire, the oldest known compendium of the supernatural, has gone missing from one of the most closely guarded magikal libraries in the city. The mages assigned to guard the damned thing can’t find any clues. Tasis is one of those mages.
Now, Tasis is calling in the last favor Ava owes him. Ava never breaks her word, so she and the Black Cauldron Detective Agency take the impossible case.
Can they find The Lauret Grimoire before anyone in the supernatural underground gets their hands on it? Or will a supernatural war start in Ava’s backyard?
Matilda Reyes was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She’s lived on both coasts, loves experiencing different seasons, and will never say no to a cup of hot chocolate. Matilda loves books of all genres but has a special place in her heart for urban fantasy, like the Dresden Files and the Iron Druid series. She owns more books than she could possibly read and has a passion for buying books from indie authors. Matilda lives in Miami, Florida with her husband and dog.
Orelle and Saxton have it out for each other. The thing is that when Orelle is in her human form, they didn’t know they were enemies. The story to bring them into the story and explain their past is pretty good. I can’t wait to see who it highlights in the next book in this series!! I love the romance, the drama, and the kinship in this story!!

Although one of the shorter audio book I have listened to, I found myself pulled in by the story being portrayed. I loved the combination of fantasy and history mixed throughout the book. I was caught up by the narration and could easily picture what was going on.
The story drew me in further the more I listened. I wanted to know how things would work out as it seemed such an impossible situation. I kept hoping that things would work out. This is a great book that I think it worth the listening time.

I love Quinn and Kieran together. After they become betrothed to each other, Quinn disappears for a century. When Kieran finally finds her, he takes such good care of her, and honestly she didn’t deserve it. But he did it anyways. Though Quinn can be quite stubborn, she slowly starts to trust Kieran and let’s him in on her family’s secret.
A story full of passion, stubborn characters, and action packed suspense. I can’t wait for the other stories in this series.

Wicked Treasure is an original Paranormal Urban Fantasy mystery story. Melissa’s story telling is fun, entertaining yet fraught with perils and danger. There is lots of action and intrigue, mystery, magic, lies and deceit and adventure. This book picks up where the first one ended so I do recommend reading these books in order.
The fantastic world building drew me in and had me totally engrossed. I love me a good supernatural paranormal story and this one is unique and a little thrilling that made for an exciting tale. I love the sassy Heroines Melissa writes.
Magic, witches, the Collective, swords, treasure and mythical creatures are what you can expect in this book. The characters are quirky and have unique personalities. As with the first book I especially loved that the sword was a character and had a fiery spirit all of its own. There is a lot going on in the story but the author has pulled it all together nicely.
Harlow’s story continues in this book along with the story of her best friend Kayda. Harlow is on the run wanting to find the mystery behind the dragon sword. Kayda has been left behind to deal with the Collective who is creating chaos and trying to close ranks and hope that their secrets are not revealed. Kayda is not happy and thus her story unfolds.

Book one, Diabolical Sword, felt like both introduction and teaser of the world where magic exists. Not only does magic itself thrive in a city, but there are supernatural forces – and beings – that have and use it. I fell in love with the series within the first few chapters of the first book, so when I had the opportunity to read this, the second of the Charm Collector series, I jumped on it. And I’m so glad that I did! Wicked Treasure is the continuation of Harlow’s story with the added mix of her best friend, Kayda’s, point of view. Harlow, her sword, and the illusive Caspian are on the run, attempting to solve the mystery of the origins of the sentient sword…one thing leads to another, and our heroine finds herself in yet another precarious situation. Meanwhile, Kayda’s left in Luma to handle the fallout- and something she never expected to have to deal with. The concept behind the draken is so intriguing to me, so I’m thrilled that the author decided to expand on them just a bit in this book. Kayda struck me as a fierce-warrior in book one, but we get to see a little more complexity from her in the sequel. The characters, even the side characters, in these books feel so alive and well-written that the entire story practically weaves itself into your imagination. Now I’m trying to be patient and wait for the next book, but I have a feeling – just like with this one – that the third book will be worth the wait!

This is the second book in The Charm Collectors series. I do recommend reading these books in order so that you can follow the story. This is a urban fantasy and the author does an amazing job of making the reader visualise and experience everything as if they were actually there. The characters are really well written as well and they are relatable.
This books picks up where the first one ended. Kayda and Harlow have always been friends. Partners in crime going through life together. That is until Harlow leaves. Going on the run with Caspain. With Harlow gone the Collective turn their attention to Kayda. Now Kayda is in for something she never expected before and she has to face it without her friend.
Meanwhile Harlow and Caspian have left, hoping the dust will settle behind them. They are on the hunt for a magical sword. While searching they also uncover secrets about the Collective which makes them even more targets than they were before they left. This book is full of adventure from start to finish and with loads of twists and turns and mythical dangers along the way it Will definately keep the reader wanting more.

If you are a fan of Percy Jackson then you need to read this series. You will need to start with the first book as Wicked Treasure picks up right where Diabolical Sword left off.
This book is from Kaydas perspective as we start off with her getting a courier bird from Harlow. They are still on the run. The collective are doing their best to paint themselves in a better light, doing what they can to recover from what happened in the first book.
In this book Harlow and Caspian are on the hunt for treasure. Special treasure that has sentient magic. On this adventure they face many mythical creatures mainly Trolls. But that is not the only danger they face.
This book is Urban Fantasy at it’s finest and I loved it from start to finish.

I was struck hard with love with the prior book, and this one continued the fantasy story that I had very much fallen in love with. I loved this one I think actually, a bit more! The writing was perfectly done.
I loved this one as it still had those adventurous fantasy elements that intrigued me in the first novel, but this one went down a road that gave more and made your mind visualize more Also, loved seeing the characters from the first book again. I saw a lot of character growth in this one. I loved the more deeper we dove in this one, the more that came to light, the end is not near yet for our heros! Cant wait to see what happens next in this most amazing series! I love hoe the flow goes, the characters, and I love this book!
The series is amazing, and I very much enjoyed how the author did this installment! The author, book, sand series are must reads for sure! High recommendation for all of them from this love struck reader!

Quinnlyn tells Kieran that not only will she become his mate but that he can take over the Blood Sector. But on the day of their betrothal she runs away. Fast-forward… Quinn has been hiding from her “mate” for most of a century trying to solve her parents’ death and save other Omegas all while protecting a family secret. But now he’s found her and he is “pissed” off and has no intentions of letting her run away again. This is my first time reading one of Foss’ books, and I’m interested in diving into her other books. This was a pretty good read. I like the dynamic between the two characters. Even though Kieran is described as a typical Alpha, you know dark and brooding…. he’s anything but. He’s really sweet if albeit not great with saying everything on his mind which becomes a running theme with the two of them. Both jump to conclusions and give each other a run around. I will say this is not a book for a feminist. It’s made very clear that women are inferior to the males. Quinn can be very annoying but I do Love Kieran and how he holds himself. All in all its an interesting story to read and I would read another one of the Author’s books.

Quinn who has been running her entire life from her betrothed mate while trying to solve her parents murders and protect her clan finally is found by her betrothed and he’s not happy she’s been running.
The secrets the drama the lies and the painful way these two just won’t actually have a conversation will drive you crazy but the powerful heat between them is undeniable
This is a great entry to Alpha Omega metaverse and I highly recommend it. Humor internal monologs in this really help you get you get to know the characters.
4 stars only because the ending was fairly anti climactic. I was definitely looking for more.

Loved this book! If you like shifter books this is for you! It is set in the same universe as some of the author’s other books, but this was my first read of hers and I did not feel like I was missing anything, so definitely holds up that it can be read as a standalone. The dialogue in the book really makes you feel like you are in the story, it just sucks you right in. I also love the dual POV and it was executed brilliantly here. Overall, a great story and makes me want to read more of this universe!

Now Dragons are very careful about staying hidden, but Orelle Molyneux needs to have some freedom instead of staying hidden all the time. One night though she ends up meeting Saxton Lance aka Apollo dragonslayer, the attraction is instant but Orelle is guarded and wants to keep Saxton at a distance. Neither plan for the secrets each holds but what happens when it is revealed, will it be another slaying or could they change their fate?
This was an entertaining story. I was pulled in right away and thought this was a unique take to a mythology shifter story. Saxton radiated on each page, found his character really intriguing. Great story, look forward to more in this series.

Blood Sector: (V-Clan Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss 5 out of 5 Stars
To try and put to words how great this book was, is super difficult. Lexi Foss went above and beyond with this book. Between the world building, the romance, the pain, the healing, and of course, the happy ending.
I was a little nervous reading that this was part of a whole world that I haven’t read yet. But Lexi did not disappoint at all. She introduced the world, the burn out of the world, the hierarchy of everyone. I never felt lost for a single second.
I also love that each character isn’t 19 or 19 years old, they are a couple hundred years old or more. They have life experience and have seen terrible things, yet they survived.
I also love that there is not a “fated mates” story, this is a whole new type of werewolf/shifter storyline. Each character had to grow and learn to love, not just feel someone touch them and they were in love.
Between the humor, the romance, the storyline and the world building, I give this story a 5 out of 5 and I will definitely be reading the next V-Clan novel.

The Charm Collector series is fast becoming one of my favorite urban fantasy book series. Wicked Treasure is book 2 and is just as much, if not more, exciting as Diabolical Sword (book 1). Harlow and Caspian are now on the run trying to locate magic treasure related to their friend, Cutlass. Kayda is pissed because Harlow ghosted her. Though, not much time for that because the Collective is creating chaos in Luma. There is drama, mystery and adventure no matter where you turn. I found myself on the edge of my seat, unable to stop reading because I had to keep going…one page more…what’s going to happen next..This story is so well-written. It engages you right from the start. The characters involved are so quirky and full of personality that you can’t help but love them all. I love following the conversations with the sword. The author builds a wonderful world with the story through her descriptions and art of story-telling. I will eagerly be awaiting book 3 of the series. Highly recommend this series.

And now he’s got her, and he doesn’t intend to lose her once again. Now he must unravel her secret. Overall I enjoyed the book. I was a bit disappointed in the ending but desperately want to read the next one.

Kayda Verdan and Harlow Fletcher have been ride-or-die best friends since they were teenagers. And yet, when Harlow’s life hits the skids after she steals a sentient dragon sword, she doesn’t seek Kayda’s help. Harlow ghosts her friend altogether under the guise of keeping Kayda safe.
Kayda is not amused. When Harlow leaves Luma and Kayda behind, Kayda is downright angry.
As the Collective and their trained werecats try to track Harlow down, they turn their sights on Kayda, propelling her into an adventure she never expected. An adventure that reveals a secret group threatening Luma’s veil magic—and the lives of everyone who resides within the hidden magical city.

Harlow
Harlow and Caspian Blackthorn left Luma to let the dust settle back home. While enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation, they strategize their search for the origins of the sentient sword.
The road trip leads them to a black-market auction where fae are selling dangerous items to fae and mundanes living outside the hubs. When Harlow and Caspian get their hands on a treasure chest that was extracted from a sunken pirate ship, they uncover not just a piece of the sword’s past, but the Collective’s.
The treasure they find is more valuable than gold—treasure that powerful fae would kill for. And without magical friends to call for help, Harlow, Caspian, and the sword will have to fend for themselves. So much for a relaxing vacation …
Melissa has had a love of stories for as long as she can remember, but only started penning her own during her freshman year of college. She majored in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology at UC Davis. Yet, while she was neck-deep in organic chemistry and physics, she kept finding herself writing stories in the back of the classroom about fairies and trolls and magic. She finished her degree, but it never captured her heart the way writing did.
Now she owns her own dog walking business (that’s sort of wildlife related, right?) by day … and afternoon and night … and writes whenever she gets a spare moment. She alternates mostly between fantasy and mystery (often with a paranormal twist). All her books have some element of “other” to them … witches, ghosts, UFOs. There’s no better way to escape the real world than getting lost in a fictional one.
She lives in Northern California with her very patient boyfriend and way too many pets.

I love a good fated mate/Shifter story. Action, suspense, supernatural beings, and oh soo much spice! I enjoyed this book and our MC. Kieran was easily pictured as the sexy Alpha Male King who was loyal and fierce. He was also strong and dominant, but a man very much in love with his chosen mate. She was truly his queen. and despite the chase she gave him he caught her in the end. Quinn had many secrets and while she feared the lack of approval with her people she was determined to win over the kingdoms trust as well as her mate. This was a great read, and I will be picking up other books from this author again!
