I enjoyed this fun, easy-to-read book that combined fun with a little bit of a ghost story. I felt like it was a little bit “Grey’s Anatomy” combined with a little bit of “Ghost Whisperer”. If you are a fan of either of those TV shows like I am, this will be a great choice for a summer read! The characters were well-developed without slowing down the story, and I found myself putting myself in Morgan’s shoes which to me is the sign of a well-written character. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series!

The Second Alpha Heir is the debut novel by C.L. Ledford. It is a captivating paranormal romance with werewolves, magic, werewolf law/politics, danger, action, threats, drama, fated mates, chemistry, tension, destiny, friendship, family, self-discovery, spirit, determination, love, and loss. Ms. Ledford proves to be a talented storyteller who weaves a story full of clever and creative touches- spinning a great story with superb world-building and her own original take on vampire lore. Nolan was such a great character- I found myself connecting with him right from the beginning and was soon completely invested in him and the outcome of his story. With the death of his brother, Nolan’s world turned upside down. He was the second son, not meant to lead their pack. But now, with the death of his brother, responsibility is thrust upon him. He is so young, but duty waits for no one. And so his adventures begins. Add in a ‘fated mates’ component, threats from a rival pack, his parents capture, and the safety of his entire pack at risk- and things get pretty intense. Looking forward to more from C.L. Ledford… Happy Reading!

This is the third installment in the series and it really blew me away. Our writer has a very unique writing style and really knows how to take her time and let the characters, plot, and storyline develop beautifully. Her characters show such development and emotions that its hard to not feel like your right in the middle of story going through everything the characters are. Full of actions, emotions, consequences and more this story will blow you out of the water.

This is a time travel series that is not a series you can read only one book in. You need the information that comes before this book to understand what is going on. I really like this series. The details bring this novel and the characters to life for me. There is a little bit of everything. Suspense, mystical adventures, threats, romance, the paranormal, secrets, lies, drama and of course time travel!! You won’t regret reading this series.

I enjoyed the first two books of this series immensely. This one is written so differently than the previous two but once again is a masterpiece.
Julia and her relationship with the Ka-tet is shattered after she betrayed them in the previous book. Especially her relationship with Matthew. She is basically disowned by him. Matthew has moved away from the others and started a new life on his own. When Julia’s leader disappears suddenly, she seeks out Matthew to help.
The author once again built an amazing world and the people within. Even though this book was significantly different, it still had me in a vice and I had to finish it! I enjoyed ‘watching’ Julia deal with the consequences and her feelings towards everything that has happened.

Ciarán Donnelly is back and he is settling into his new life with his wife and unborn twins a bit more each day and is feeling like the hold his past had on him is not as strong as it was, but now his life is in upheaval yet again when he starts having vivid dreams again. This time though, they are visions of his children being kidnapped by the long dead priest who entombed him for his past misdeeds, Ruadhán, but Ciarán knows that this can’t be true, but he is still very unnerved by them. However, the anxiety which these dreams cause Ciarán are affecting his relationship with Caitlin and she is feeling the stress as well, which is no good for her while pregnant with the twins, but Ciarán as usual bottles everything up inside until it becomes too much and he explodes with the pent up emotion and this helps their situation even less.
As Ciarán is learning to deal with his anxieties, the dreams are repeating and are now affecting his ability to both sleep and keep his emotions in check, but when he does finally speak to those around him, they put forward the valid points that it may just be he fears around being a parent coming to he fore and that because Ruadhán was devoted to his goddess, there is little chance that he could have had the same punishment as Ciarán and Aodhán, his brother and Aodhán is keen to support this theory as well. Meanwhile, tensions still rise as the twins near their due date and with everything else going on, Ciarán knows he needs to be there for Caitlin more than ever.
Meanwhile Aodhán is working with the archaeology team again and decides to go and see the tombs in the Hills of ár Sinsear for himself so that he can put Ciarán’s mind at rest about Ruadhán, however, what he finds there just makes their anxieties worse, an unoccupied tomb which has all the calling cards of use, despite being empty. While Aodhán spends more time with his almost adopted family, a surprising piece of history is unearthed and leads to another interpretation of what Ciarán’s dreams could mean and opens a whole host of new complications to an already stressful scenario. Could Ruadhán have survived the fifteen hundred years and come back to haunt the two brothers, if so, what is his plan and can Ciarán and Aodhán stop it before their loved ones are hurt? This is another whirlwind ride in this historical fiction meets modern day romance, in this time travel fantasy which keeps you enthralled as the other books while spinning a yarn you will want to speed through, yet savour at the same time.

This is the 3rd book in the War Of Destiny Series and I loved it. The author does such a good job with the story and the characters. The story had me totally gripped and spellbound through it all. This book deal with some dark emotions such as guilt, regret, despair and at times complete helplessness.
Julie is back. After her actions from the last book we find her being shunned by her vampire family. If that wasn’t bad enough she also has to deal with the guilt for the loss of some of their people due to her actions. She sees no way through this and when she starts to see and hear people who aren’t there things get progressively worse. While she is dealing with theses feelings and the fear she is going mad, Samuel goes missing.
He is devasted by what has happened and when he disappears Julia knows she needs to find him and fast. Will he accept her presence? Will she get to him before its too late?
Add to this the dangers of the Hunters that have arrived and when one of the Hunters looks familiar to Julie this raises more questions. Once you start this series you won’t be able to put it down and this one just adds to the already amazing series

This is book three of the series. What a fantastical ride it is. Julia must work with her ka-tet to help her, even with them lacking faith due to her working with Valentino in the last book. Julie and Matthew must save Simon, battle apparitions, and help a rogue vampire. There is a lot going on in the story. This is why it is so good. I was pulled in from the beginning and just couldn’t put it down. I had to continue to know how things were going for Julia. Her loyalies are being tested every time she turns around. She’s seeing things. The plot has a couple of choppy spots but you can get through ok because it still goes together fairly smooth. I loved how the author tied the characters together but life wasn’t perfect; there were still problems. Fun book that I recommend.

What a great addition to the series! Plenty of suspense, mystery, hidden identities, and a bit of sensualness thrown in! With the focus on family, old and new, the stakes are higher now that Ciarán and Caitlin have children, reopening old wounds from Ciarán’s past. The power of the goddess is shown to those who know what is going on, but the group of people who know about Ciarán and Aodhán is growing and that can be dangerous. I enjoy reading about the strong bond between Ciarán and Aodhán and, just when I thought we were done with them, there will be more! I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one!

Being born the second son of the Alpha and Luna of the Rhyolite pack proves to be harder than anyone would expect. Being smaller than others and second born means Nolen is picked on and bullied, ignored and left out until tragedy finds the pack and he is thrust into the alpha in training role.
Will the pack think more of him when he returns from his years of training, a grown man ready to assume his rightful position?
Nolen has made a family unit out of the alpha family of the Quartzite pack where he was sent for his training: Sawyer alpha in training and his sister Amora. He also finds his wolf years before he should, and this brings a twist to the story and links to the past.
This page turning story takes you through the trials and tribulations as these young wolves mature find and move on with their fated mates.

Have you ever felt like you were only second best? I know I have. Have you ever felt like you were just there and nobody cared a lick for you? I definitely have as well. That’s exactly the feel you get from the main character in this book. The Second Alpha Heir is about Nolen’s triumph and redemption. Does he succeed? With many bumps along the way Nolen has always been at the wayside. When his brother is attacked and killed when he’s just entering his teenage years Nolen has no choice but to step up and train. He’s the pack’s next Alpha if he wants to be or not. He’s been bullied and had to live with those who didn’t believe he could succeed. I relate to Nolen on so many levels. I’m sure anyone who can answer the two questions I posed at the beginning in the way I have will too! The author doesn’t make it easy, my emotions were all over reading this novel. I was hesitant at first, because I know I get emotionally invested, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. I enjoy shifter books and this was no different. I enjoyed it, well not at first but it grew on me. Just know if you are an emotional person going in, the author is going to make you feel. Don’t let that be the reason you stay away. READ IT!
Werewolves, fated mates and alphas This is a slow burn, alpha prophesy story line with lots of action. Nolen is an easy character to like and I was quickly drawn into his world. The writing is easy to read and the storyline well developed. I love werewolf stories and this did not disappoint.

Reading The Second Alpha Heir by C.L. Ledford was a wonderful experience that, given the choice, I would have had in a single afternoon; alas, I was forced to put it down and come back. The world we are brought into is enough like other books in the genre to be easily understood while being unique enough to provide interesting twists to the story.
The main character, Nolen, is kind and considerate due to unfortunate circumstances in his history. The book takes us on an adventure though his teen years and young adult life but provides insights into his past and glimpses of the future. The love story is a subtle, slow-burn that had me cheering for the characters.
If you’re looking for a story with well-thought-out characters, a soft romance, and an intriguing plot – then this book is for you!
Do you like werewolves? Love fated mates with a slow burn romance, mysterious prophecies and the glow up of an underdog (ahem… wolf)? Me too! This book is for you. Nolen starts off as the little brother of the next Alpha that’s bullied by his pack because he’s small and appears to be weak. When his brother Archer is killed the title of next Alpha falls to Nolen and he is sent off to train with the wolves of an ally pack. As the reader, we get to follow along as Nolen’s strength is tested and he matures into the alpha wolf he is supposed to be. This story is told by two separate point of views and the other narrator is Amora, the ally pack’s alpha’s daughter. She is drawn to Nolen from the day he arrives and sees in him everything she wants as they grow up together. As Amora’s older brother Sawyer and Nolen become great friends as time carries on, she struggles to reign in her emotions and keep her feelings a secret. I enjoyed the characters and the whole world of this book. This story spans a lot of years which was surprising for how short it was. Despite it being short in pages, it is filled with adventure and really does feel quite complete all on its own.

I really lost myself in this book! I can always lose my way in a good underdog rising book! The characters were all well written and you definitely strongly either love or dislike them! I finished this book in just a few hours it was that good! Nolen was the second alpha heir in his family, and he was bullied because of that. His brother ends up killed when Nolen was only a teen. From there on out, he trained to be an alpha next to his friend Sawyer! The story goes from there and it’s so exciting! Please read this book! You won’t regret it!
I love this book! Not only is there steamy romance there is murder and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Donovan and Shirley try to figure out who is out to kill them. I liked the twist on vampire history, it is not your standard, vampires drink blood, there is science involved that has helped vampires evolve and I found that intriguing. The ending was left open, and I can’t wait to get to the next book to see what becomes of the high society matron and to see how Donovan and Shirley’s lives progress. I am also hopeful that Donovan’s sister Marilyn has a better go in the next book.

This book is the third book in the series. This is one of my series. It is unique, original and very engaging. I am a fan of all things Celtic. I usually have to have a dictionary near me to look up some of the words used but then I’m learning new things (educational 🙂 win/win). The characters are so full of personality. Not only do the accents crack you up but the fact that they are time travelers make it so unique that you can’t put the story down, you have to know what’s going to happen next. The author does such a wonderful job of researching the history and incorporating it into the story. Fresh and engaging, this story is still fantastic. The drama will keep you on the edge of your seat. What will happen? You are going to have to read to find out. I was thrilled to see there will be another coming after this. Still a favorite series. I will always recommend. Can be read as standalone or in series order.

If you are in the mood for a ghost story but want to keep it light and carefree this is a great book for you! The main character undergoes a medical procedure and discovers afterwards she has a psychic ability to see and hear ghosts at the hospital she works at. The other characters are so much fun. Highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a light paranormal adventure.

This book was absolutely gorgeous! I loved seeing how the characters grew and changed, taking risks and doing what they felt they needed to do to save each other and their community. Pasha and Ryn were such fun characters to see build their relationship and grow to understand each other more. Kasper and Owen’s brotherly love and Kasper’s perseverance in trying to save Owen was beautiful. When the author added Maris into that mix, it was amazing to see the bonds she had with all of the characters, but especially with Kasper. I adored the fantasy and it was just altogether an amazing journey to take with all of these characters.

Nolan is the second son of the Alpha. He was smaller than most of the boys in the pack. And since his older brother Archer would become the next pack leader, he just did what he wanted to do. Then his life is turned around when a mission goes wrong, and Archer is murdered. Nolan is now next in line to become the Alpha, even if that is far from what he wanted. He is sent to spend time with another pack to train rigorously for a few years until his eighteenth birthday, when he can finally shift into his werewolf form and soon after, claim his title. On top of the shift, Nolan is not so patiently waiting to find his mate. While training with the other pack, he becomes best friends with the Alpha’s son, Sawyer. Sawyer doesn’t see Nolan as a small and weak man. He treats him with respect and tries to better him in every way. Sawyer’s little sister Amora has also become a good friend to him. Between him and Sawyer, they don’t let anyone bully her. The boys are becoming stronger, faster, and smarter. They are doing what needs to be done in order to rule over their packs in the best way possible. This book is full of action, thrills friendship, twists, and even romance.

Between Darkness & Light is the third book in the War of Destiny series. This dark vampiric paranormal, fantasy story is unique and engaging. Theresa is great at storytelling and invites the reader in with cleverly woven threads. I said it before but I will say it again the characters are well written and have depth and meaning. Her world building is exceptionally crafted and cleverly built. The vivid narrative allows you to enjoy every facet of her storytelling. War of Destiny is a multi-layered and exciting series that I will be sad to see it go as I want more and more. Lots of action, intrigue, imagination and twist and turns will keep you glued to the pages.

A very interesting book that was full of intrigue all on its own! I loved reading this one, as I love my shape shifter books and how each one varies in what it brings. This one was very special in the sense it brought a wide range of plot and character development, I very much enjoyed it!
I enjoyed reading this one, as we follow Nolen and his story. He alone had a lot of character development. From what he started as and what he ended as. I felt for him, he had rights that were being taken form him, and he had to fight and prove. I find as humans we constantly must do that through out life. So that greatly appealed to me. The story all in all captivated me immensely, and I very much enjoyed reading this book plus the author’s writing style was fantastic! Loved it!
Amazing book for all it brought to us as the reader. I could not put this one down! I was hooked and held there till completion! Loved it! Highly recommend this must-read book!
Again, amazing installment in the series! Seriously the series just keeps getting better and better. This author has had me hooked since the first book. I am too deep now, and I can not let go! I love how each one fascinates more as you read! A very amazing series I must say, impossible not to love and enjoy!
This one really appealed to me as it was the aftermath of the second book. We follow Julia and where she is at based on the decisions, she made in the second book. I felt for her at times, but she always amazes me in what she decides to do. She always comes out strong, even when she may appear at the lowest point. I devoured this one so easily. I loved the aftermath and the new adventure Julia had to undergo. There was never a dull moment, and the author really knows how to keep you hooked!
Amazing series that keeps on with hype it brings to the reader. Each book in the series catches my attention more and more! Love it so much! Highly recommend this must-read book! Truly!

This book is a refreshing change from the usual shifter tale. I enjoyed the different narrative that the author wrote chose to use. It was quite interesting and very intriguing. This pulled me in right from the beginning. Of course, I couldn’t put it down, I had to see him get revenge and protect what is his. The plot was fairly smooth. Overall, it’s a terrific book and I look forward to reading more from this author. I believe paranormal readers will love this one.
This is yet another brilliant continuation of an already great story. It took nothing at all to fall back into the characters and these stories. This story is just as well written and interesting as the previous books. This author has really created such a fascinating world. I love how new it feels, even as the series progresses. Each book builds on the previous one and really adds a whole new level to the series. I would highly recommend this series to any fan of the genre!

This is a refreshing take on a vampire story and is certainly one I enjoy. I would definitely recommend reading them in order to get a full enjoyment of the series. I though they characters were engaging and it made the story exciting to read. The book is well written and fast paced. It is developed so well throughout the whole story. I was taken in with what the author was creating and I really did enjoy what was written. This is a brilliant continuation of the story and I can’t wait to see what the next instalment holds.
