Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly – Review by Rachel Moss

Finding His ZenFinding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly was a great read! It was also a very quick read, which was a plus for me. Very romantic, this book quickly draws you into the pages and doesn’t want to let you go. Not steamy at all, it was just a good romance. The characters were great, and the storyline was really good as well. Once I started reading this book I could hardly put it down. This is the second novel I’ve read from this author, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I highly recommend reading this novel!

PERFECT ALWAYS by Tricia Copeland – Review by Rachel Moss

Perfect AlwaysPerfect Always by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Perfect Always by Tricia Copeland is part of the Perfect series, and an amazing read! This book is definitely a standalone, you don’t have to read the first one to understand the plot and story of this one. I absolutely loved reading this novel! Very well written, with a great plot and storyline I could hardly put it down until I finished it all. I enjoyed all the characters, they were absolutely great! And it was very romantic, without all the steam if you don’t enjoy the raunchy-ness of other romance series. It was also very easy to read! This was the first book I’ve read from this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I highly recommend this novel!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan is the fifth book in the Jake Wolfe series and it was a fantastic read! Another great edition to the series, I could hardly put it down. Full of action, suspense and crime, this book is very entertaining. I don’t think you need to read the others to understand this one. It works well as a standalone novel! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this installment and I can’t wait to read the next. I highly recommend this novel and series! It seems like each book keeps getting better and better!

It Comes From Within (House Valdis Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Rachel Moss

It Comes From Within (House Valdis #2)It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie was an incredible sequel in the House Valdis series! I think I liked it better than I did the first book! Much more interesting in my opinion, more suspense and action, and more character development. I was enthralled the whole time reading and could hardly put the book down! I’m also glad I read the Xenobia Origin story before reading this one, it definitely helps with some of the characters that were introduced in this installment! I fell in love with this book and I can’t wait to read the next part of the series! I highly recommend this read!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Xenobia: House Valdis Origins by Naomi Valkyrie was a great, and quick read! Naomi did a great job with the back story of this main character from the House of Valdis series! You don’t have to read the series to understand the origin, it is a great stand-alone novella. This was also a super short read as well. I immensely enjoyed reading this novel, and it was great to be back in the world Valkyrie created. I can’t wait to read not only the next origin book, but the next House of Valdis installment as well. I highly recommend this story!

Composed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 8)Composed: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Composed (volume 8 in the Ash Park series) by Meghan O’Flynn was another great read in this series! It helps to read the others in the series first, but I haven’t read all the books in the series yet and I wasn’t confused so it’s not required. It does help though! There’s never a shortage of suspense, thrills, or pessimism when you’re reading an Ash Park novel and this one doesn’t disappoint at all. If you’re looking for a good, interesting crime read this one is it! It normally takes a lot for me to get into a crime novel, but it didn’t take much when I read this series! I definitely recommend not only this book, but all of them!

The Trouble With Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton was another great read in the Madeline Dawkins Mystery series! I’ve enjoyed reading this series, and this latest installment wasn’t a disappointment. The characters continued being amazing, the plot and storyline was incredible, while being super thrilling as well. This series just keeps getting better, the further you read. I highly recommend not just this book, but the series as well, and I can’t wait to read more in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Falling for the Texan by Nicole Flockton is the second book in this series, and it was another great read! It was definitely as good as the first book, if not more so. And you don’t have to read the first to follow along with this one. This book is a great stand-alone novel! This book contained more great characters, and another great storyline and plot. I loved reading the blossoming romance story, set in a country setting. Those are some of the best books in my opinion. This was a great read all around and I highly recommend it!

Flicker to Fire (Crimson Sash Book 3) by Amanda Marin – Review by Rachel Moss

Flicker to Fire (Crimson Sash, #3)Flicker to Fire by Amanda Marin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flicker to Fire by Amanda Marin is the 3rd book in the Crimson Sash series and was a great installment to read! I’m pretty sure this was the final book in the series, and if it was it was a great conclusion to a great series! You will definitely want to start with the first book though, or some of the events and past remembrances won’t make sense. It took me a while to remember what happened in the second book. The characters were great, the storyline was amazing, and this is the kind of book that makes you wary of what the future might hold if somet things don’t change. I definitely recommend this series! It was a great read.

The Slaughter of Leith Hall by Lexie Conyngham – Review by Rachel Moss

The Slaughter of Leith HallThe Slaughter of Leith Hall by Lexie Conyngham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Slaughter of Leith Hall by Lexie Conyngham was a great read! I loved how the setting of this story was in an older time period, it’s so rare to find books like that these days. Since it was in that timeline though, I found the novel to be a little confusing at first, simply because of all the characters and it took a while for them and the background of the story to build up. But overall, this was a very thrilling, enthralling read. This is the first novel I’ve read from this author before, and I was very impressed with it. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 1) by India Kells – Review by Rachel Moss

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance)The Debt Collector by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Debt Collector by India Kells was a good read. Or well listen, because I listened to the audiobook version. I’m giving this book 4 stars for a couple of reasons. One reason, I feel like this book should come with a trigger warning for some of the content, and it didn’t. It only came with a warning for steam, being an 18+ adult novel. The steam was great, and it was very sexual! 5 stars on that, completely! My other issue (which isn’t the author’s fault at all) was the narrator of this audio book. I found myself laughing more often than not just because his voice was so awkward with the female voices, and the sex scenes in general. Other than those, this book was great! It did not disappoint at all.

Her Blackened Soul (The Blackened Series Book 1) by Isra Sravenheart – Review by Rachel Moss

Her Blackened Soul (The Blackened, #1)Her Blackened Soul by Isra Sravenheart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Her Blackened Soul by Isra Sravenheart was a good book, but not great to me. I expected much more from reading the synopsis, and I was just a little disappointed in what I got. It wasn’t a bad book to read, it was just very slow to me building the story up, and it read so much like an old fairytale, but it wasn’t as short as a fairytale, so it just made it seem that much more drawn out. The characters were great and it had a great storyline and plot, it just wasn’t what I expected going in to read and I guess that just threw me off a little bit. I did enjoy reading this book however, and I do want to read more from this author in the future.

One Hot Texas Summer by Nicole Flockton was a great read! It was a pretty quick, simple read, with great characters, a great storyline, and plot. This is the first I’ve read from this author before, but I can’t wait to read more in the future! I highly recommend this novel.

Center Of Gravity by Isabella Cassazza was a wonderful read! This is the first novel I’ve read from this author, and and I’ve never read a book from the Ice Tigers Hockey series before, but this standalone was great, and I wasn’t confused in the least. Everything that needed to be explained got explained fairly quickly, and there was no confusion in past events. I was instantly enthralled in this entertaining romance novel the moment I started reading. It was touching, and fulfilling, and extremely satisfying to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Widow by Rebecca E. McEwen and Naomi Valkyrie was a great novel! I highly enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick, very enthralling read. I could hardly put this book down when I started. I loved the characters and the plot line and storyline, and it was so much like two different times in history converged into one while I was reading this story. That was very interesting, in a way I’ve never read a book like that before. This is the first book I’ve read by McEwen, but not by Valkyrie, and so far it’s been my favorite! Kudos on this great read!

Virtually Gone (High-Tech Crime Solvers #6)Virtually Gone by Jacquie Biggar
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Virtually Gone by Jacquie Biggar is the sixth book in the High-Tech Crime Solvers series and it was a great read! I could hardly put this book down once I started reading it. It was thrilling, and definitely crime filled! I was filled suspense almost the whole time I was reading this! This is first novel in this series I’ve read, and while it is the sixth installment, I didn’t feel like I absolutely had to read the other for this to make sense. It would have definitely helped if I read the other installments, but this book could absolutely be read as a stand-alone and you wouldn’t be thrown off. Another novel from this author that I loved!

The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (The Crown of Stones Novella Series Book 1) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Rachel Moss

The Wandering Isles, A Crown of Stones Novella (Novella Series #1)The Wandering Isles, A Crown of Stones Novella by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Wandering Isles by C. L. Schneider is the first novella in the Crown of Stones series, and was a great read! It was so comforting for me to be back in the world with Troy and Jarryd again, but this time on a new adventure. I loved the first three books in the series so much, I was overjoyed when this one came out! This book definitely did not disappoint, and exceeded all the expectations I had for it as well! Completely enthralling, it captured me from the beginning. It was also a quick read, at least in regards to other novels in the series. The synopsis says this can be read a stand-alone novel, and while it can be read that way, it makes much more sense when you read the other three books first! I highly recommend reading not only this novella, but the other books as well!

Fall by A. K. Morgen is the second book in The Ragnarok Prophesies series and was a great read! I haven’t read the first book in the series, and I don’t feel like I missed a whole lot, so this could definitely be a read alone novel. This was a very enthralling book, and I got hooked from the prologue! I could hardly put the book down. This book had a great plot, some suspense (mostly because I haven’t read the first in the series) and some thrills. The book also had some great characters and I enjoyed getting to meet them! This is first novel I’ve read from this author and I recommend it!

Being Lost by Manda Mellet was another great MC read! This is the first book in the new Satan’s Devils San Diego series and it does not disappoint. It follows what happens in the Colorado series, so it makes more sense to read those first before this one, even though this one could technically be a stand alone novel. Full of suspense, thrills, some humor and steam, this is another great motorcycle club read. I could hardly put this book once I started reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wrapped Up In You by Erin Bevan was a cute romantic read! It would be a great novel for Christmas time. It read so much like a Christi fairytale, I didn’t want to put this book down when I started reading it. This novel was unique to me, in the way the Christmas and Santa aspect of the novel was different from most Christmas novels I’ve read. The unique aspect of that is what really drew me in when I started reading. This was super weird to read in the summer, but I can’t wait to read it again at Christmas time!

Golden Void by Alexander Charalambides is the third novel in the Black Blade series and was a good read. I really wanted to like this book more than I did, however it wasn’t a bad novel! It just wasn’t my favorite. I’m not a huge fan of the stream of consciousness writing and I kept finding my mind drifting throughout when I was reading this novel. However the characters were great and it had a really good plot! I just couldn’t get into it as much as I wanted to. I do recommend reading the other books in the series first before reading this one.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING A DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES BOOK 2) by JOANNE PATTERSON – Review by Rachel Moss

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream (Rebecca Steele Series #2)Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rebecca Steele Finding The Dream by Joanne Patterson was a great story! This is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series, but I haven’t read the first and this definitely read like a standalone novel! It took me a little bit to get completely into it however, as at the beginning of the story (well to be honest throughout the whole story, but I got used to it after a while) the timelines and time itself wasn’t clearly defined, so I would catch myself being in one place, and then out of nowhere, somewhere else with there being no justifiable shift of time to make sense of where I went. The story was very sweet, and very romantic. There was a slight twist to the story I wasn’t expecting that made the ending much better than I was hoping for! This is definitely a story for just about all ages. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
