A Moore Affair (Moore Family Saga Book 4) by Michele Sims – Review by Rachel Moss

A Moore Affair (Moore Family Saga #4)A Moore Affair by Michele Sims
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Moore Affair by Michele Sims was a great novel! This was the 4th book in a series, and I have not previously read the others before I read this one. You don’t have to read the other first, but I would recommend it so you aren’t thrown off like past events like I was a little bit. This book had a great story line and characters. I was a little thrown though, cause the timelines weren’t clear cut, and when the characters talked it was a little difficult to figure out who was talking to whom. I enjoyed this book though and can’t wait to read the others in the series in the future!

Jake the Growling Dog Goes to Daycare was such a cute, sweet little book! Full of confidence and breathing activities that are great for kids, Jake’s story follows along and sets a great example for kids that no matter what you go through in life, new experiences can bring a lot of fun if you just let them! The activities were super easy just from reading them. I think young children would really enjoy this book!

Great characters, great plot, I absolutely love books written that star fae characters. Some of the dialogue seemed a little choppy at first, but it quickly sorted itself out. Imposter (Ash Park, #7)Imposter by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Meghan O’Flynn did it again! I haven’t read all the books in this series yet, but this one was another knockout novel! You don’t have to have read any others to understand the events that take place, but it does help in knowing some of the characters. This novel was full of suspense, and I couldn’t put it down! It had me gripped from the first chapter, and the mystery and crime drama was perfect if that’s your thing. There were so many unexpected twists I didn’t expect at all! I can’t wait to read more from this incredible author!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summer Princess by Sloane Murphy was an incredible novel! I was completely captured and enraptured in this story from the beginning to the end. It was so very well written and detailed, I was amazed. The drama and suspense and slight mystery only added to the appeal of the novel. This one reminds me a bit of the Throne of Glass novels in a way. Fae books have quickly become some of my favorites to read and this one certainly didn’t disappoint! I can’t wait to read the second installment!

I loved watching how Conner’s and Mary Ann’s relationship developed throughout all three novels, their trials and love for each other. Suen was able to capture the life of a small town perfectly. IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3) Anthology – Review by Rachel Moss

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3)IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I only read two stories out of this anthology, Irresistible Valentine, and they were Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson and The Player by Jacquie Biggar. I was completely blown away by Ferguson’s short story! It was very emotional and dramatic and left you wanting a lot more than what you got! It was very fast paced as well, and super sweet. The Player was amazing as well! I loved the drama, and the chemistry, and I even laughed a little as well! Both of these stories were extremely well written, with some very dramatic occurrences that I wasn’t expecting at all from a romance anthology. I highly recommend this, both stories I read were absolutely incredible!

I highly recommend this 18+ romance.

A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock 'N Sweet Romance 3)A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Kiss Beneath A Strawberry Moon by Tamara Ferguson was so good, and super sweet! It wasn’t at all what I was expecting to read after reading the synopsis, but I wasn’t disappointed! It was better than I originally thought it was going to be. It was a super quick read as well, the novel isn’t long at all. I got swept up in Marielle and Drew’s whirlwind romance throughout the span of 6 very quick years. I couldn’t put it down at all until I finished it. This is the first story I’ve read by Ferguson and I can’t wait to read more!

Around Midnight by Zarina Macha – Review by Rachel Moss

Around MidnightAround Midnight by Zarina Macha
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Around Midnight by Zarina Macha was a really good YA novel. YA fiction is my favorite genre, so I was very eager to read this one. This is the first novel I’ve had the pleasure of reading from Macha, and I highly enjoyed it! Megan (the main character) is very relatable, on her quest of having love and keeping it, and trying to figure out what she wants do as far as her future goes. It’s a very relatable novel itself, with mostly enjoyable characters and it was hard to stop reading it. I absolutely loved all the nerdy and pop culture references! It made the novel even more immensely enjoyable in my opinion! I highly recommend this novel and can’t wait to read more from Zarina Macha!

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander was a great series! Very raunchy, if you’re not open to some certain ideas you might not like this series as much. Very steamy and very romantic as well. I absolutely loved the story line, even though I felt much of it was too much back and forth between Sarah and James. The writing is great with incredible imagery, and I absolutely loved all the characters! The series made me laugh and cry several times, I won’t lie. The second book is my favorite one, although I immensely enjoyed all 3. These definitely read better in order though. I highly recommend this series!

Forget Nico: Falling for the Wrong Italian (The Italian Saga #3)Forget Nico: Falling for the Wrong Italian by Gaia B. Amman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Forget Nico by Gaia B. Amman was a really good novel. It grabbed me, but it did take a little bit to hold my attention. I’m sure it’s just because the ages of the characters, but all the characters seemed very whiny to me. Great characters though! Well mostly great, minus the cheaters. They all had big personalities, which I loved! This is the second novel I’ve read from the Amman and I can’t wait to read more from the Italian series!

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross – Review by Rachel Moss

Black Cat SecurityBlack Cat Security by Katerina Ross
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross was a decent story. It’s a very short, fantasy story, that grabbed my attention but had to work to keep it. The story wasn’t what I was expecting from reading the synopsis, and the ending was a little strange for my tastes. It wasn’t a bad novella though! It just wasn’t my favorite. The story was very well written, I just didn’t have much background information to go on. I’m not sure if it was a continuation of a series, or what. I liked the story, just again it wasn’t personally for me. Four stars for writing, because the writing was incredible.

Mountains Loved by Phoebe Alexander was great! It was the perfect end to this trilogy series. Like the other two, this book grabbed in from the beginning and wouldn’t let go. I couldn’t tell if this novel was more emotional than the second in the series, but all the emotions are definitely in this one! It had me laughing and crying just like the second one did. And again, I highly recommend this third book in the Mountains Series!

Brutal & Raw: Mafia Romance & Psychological Thriller (Beneventi Family Book 1) by Sonya Jesus – Review by Rachel Moss

Brutal & Raw (Beneventi Family, #1)Brutal & Raw by Sonya Jesus
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brutal and Raw by Sonya Jesus was very difficult for me personally to read. It was very well written and a very entertaining story, but there should definitely be a trigger warning involved for some readers. The characters were very well developed, and the story does grab you and hold you. There was drama, romance and suspense, and for that and overall writing style I’m giving this novel 4 stars. Just personally, this wasn’t the novel for me. I will read more from this author though in the future.

I honestly enjoyed this book in the series more than I enjoyed the first book. I will say this though: if you are in an emotional mood, don’t read this book! This one had me crying throughout the whole thing while also laughing. I can’t wait to read the third installment of the series!

Out Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt – Review by Rachel Moss

Out Of The ShadowsOut Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Out of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt was absolutely incredible. There are several triggers in this book if you have experienced or been a victim of domestic violence or assault. This book captured me from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. This was one of the most heartfelt and broken hearted stories I’ve read in a while. There are so many people that can relate to this novel, but also for the ones who can’t Sederholt does an incredible job painting that picture. This story I think was meant to spread a message, and what a message it is. 5/5 stars from me, I highly recommend this novel for not only the ones who have been through abuse before, but especially for the ones who haven’t. You never know what is going on until you’re moving through it in your own life.

Chasing StarlightChasing Starlight by Jennifer Siddoway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved reading Chasing Starlight by Jennifer Siddoway and Matilda Reyes! The book took only a couple of chapters before it drew me in, and after that I was hooked! I’ve read several fae books before, but none like this. This one was very unique in its content and fae abilities. I loved the romance and slight suspense I felt. I was very anxious to see what happened with the Shadow Demon and was not disappointed! Also, in non-spoiler fashion, I absolutely loved the lion wanting to be called King of the Murder Kitties! I died laughing. I enjoyed this book so much and I highly recommend it!

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn was really good! It was a typical romance story, the only difference being the romantic interest is a rockstar. The story takes place in Austin, Texas which I kind of liked having as a background. Plot and storyline was great, great characters with some funny aspects. The band guys had me laughing throughout the whole novel! This is my first novel I’ve read by Thia Finn and I immensely enjoyed it and will read more from her in the future! I recommend this novel, it is 18+ with some scenes and language throughout.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Moonlit Mirage by Amy McKinley was a really good novella! Super quick, easy read, it has the suspense, drama, slight mystery and romance that makes for a great classic. I read this book in a matter of a few hours, but it felt much longer by how I got pulled into the story and was experiencing everything that Cade and Nadia was experiencing. There was some surprising twists I didn’t expect, and it just made the story that much better. Great storyline and plot, and I loved the location chosen for the book! It doesn’t get much better when you have a great story set in the beautiful scenes of an island. This is story for all ages, and I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed reading In Other Words by Pamela Q. Fernandes! I especially loved the love of piano playing in the novel, it seems like there are so few novels with instruments like that written as a main aspect anymore. Loved the writing, Fernandes did an incredible making the words flow freely with tons of emotions throughout the pages. I was immediately captured by them. I loved the romance, and how well described Trish’s heartache was written. Not many authors can accomplish that it seems like. I loved the storyline, and I can’t wait to read the other books in the Boothbay Harbor series!

Taming Zane was a great story. It was entertaining, with a good storyline, and lots of romance. I really enjoyed reading the novel, and it even made me laugh a few times. However, it did seem like the storyline was typical ones I have read, and that kept me from getting as into it as I had hoped I would from reading the synopsis. I did highly enjoy it however, and want to read more from Lisa Lanay! I just personally expected a little more than what I got.

Rebound was such a good novel! I haven’t read the previous novels in the Rewind series, but it wasn’t difficult to get into. I loved all the positivity in this book! You obviously have pro-LGBT themes, you also have the characters and the author against misogyny and prejudice of all kinds, it’s was just such a heartfelt story to read. I loved how Rowan Shaw was able to immediately capture you into the story with her words alone. Kudos to this author for this story! Definitely an 18+ novel for tolerant adults. I highly recommend and will definitely reading the rest of the series soon!
