Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen Stars-4
This was a wonderful addition to this series. I loved the humor and romance that Carrie Pulkinen writes! Sophie and Trace were great together. They had great chemistry and banter. This story could be read as a standalone, but I think that it would be best read in order. Also, I am very excited for the third story!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery Star: 4
This set is three books from the Romance in Rehoboth series. This series mixes love and romance with humor, and it is done well! The characters in this series are awesome with their interactions with each other, and they are relatable. K.L. Montgomery has a great talent for creating well done stories with amazing characters. I recommend this series.

Midnight in the House of Lang by Bree M Lewandowski Stars:4
This was a great story with romance, danger, and suspense. I loved reading about Thea and Captain Surov, and how they faced conflict in the story. I think that Bree Lewandowski did a wonderful job creating a year 3034 dystopian world, her characters, and the challenges the characters must face. I was quickly pulled in the world she created.

Flowers in December Trilogy Box Set by Jane Suen Stars- 4
I enjoyed this trilogy. For my individual reviews of each book, see below. Happy Reading!
Flowers in December by Jane Suen Stars: 4
I love how relatable Connor is to the reader. He is in the middle of grieving, but yet, he also is very reflective. He knows he has not done everything correct in life, but he very much trying to figure it all out. Other than Connor, I really enjoyed reading about Tom. I loved the way Jane Suen described him, and Connor’s interactions with Tom. This story was an easy, short read with relatable characters and situations. However, I did feel that this story felt like a great beginning, and I wanted to know more from where the story actually ended. The ending was good, but I just wanted to know more of how his life ended up.
Coming Home by Jane Suen Stars: 4
This story picks up four months after the first book (Flowers in December) ends. Our characters go through so many changes from the first book. These characters continue on their journey of life dealing with change, growth, grief, and love. I loved reading more about our characters and meeting others. I have to admit that I am a bit upset with Connor, and his failure to communicate with loved ones. I was happy to read more about these characters!
Second Chance: The Conclusion of the Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen Stars-4
I was excited for this story! Jane Suen did a wonderful job with these characters. They have their highs and lows, but they keep going. I felt that this story focused a lot on moving forward and finding your way. This was a good quick story. I enjoyed this trilogy

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 9) by Tamara Ferguson Stars:5
This ninth book in this series continues a streak of wonderful stories of love, action, and awesome couples. Sam and Ben were fun to read about and had great chemistry. Ben is incredibly sweet, especially to Sam. Sam is determined, strong, smart, and caring. I looked forward to this book since the others were fantastic and was not disappointed. I am looking forward to the next story in this series!
Scoring Chance : A Mile High Miners Novella by Lane Martin Stars-4
This was a short, but sweet love story between Rhett and Eden. I loved both of these characters. They had challenges to overcome to secure their happy ending. They had ups and downs, but I think that their journey made them so likable. They had great chemistry as well! This story was a fun read.

I loved Cassandra. I loved going on the ups and downs with her. Cassandra doesn’t give up! This story is fantasy with mystery and romance thrown in the mix. Though I do feel there were a few spots where the story didn’t flow well, I did enjoy reading Cassandra’s story, and look forward to future stories in this series!

This story is the second book of the Powder River Pact. This story is a standalone. This story is Mason and Rylie’s story. I really enjoyed these characters. They had great chemistry and heat. Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) by MJ Masucci Stars-4
This is the first story in this series. Each story is a standalone. This story was filled with drama and twists. There were moments that felt rushed, but, overall, this story went at a good pace. This was a good second chance love story. I am interested in how MJ Masucci is going to develop this series.

The Rise of House Valdis by Naomi Valkyrie Stars-4
What I love about books the most is the characters and the journey they take in the story. In this story, Xen is a strong woman that I enjoyed reading about. Her journey in this book kept the story interesting and flowing pretty well. This is told from several different characters pov so you need to check out to see whose pov each chapter is written. This is the author’s first book, and I felt that she did well. I am interested in what she puts out in the future.

Set it Free (Fallen Eagles Book 3) by T. Birmingham Stars-4
This is the third story of this series. This story focuses on the eldest Markham sister, Spring, and Callum or also known as Casper. As the author wrote, there are some depictions of addiction. However, I felt that this story was well done. I liked that the author put in the description about Spring had to either choose old dreams or a man that could be there to make new dreams. Spring made growth in this story that I loved reading about. She has a lot of trauma and pain that she needs to work out. I feel that Callum does the best he can to support her. I also loved getting updates on the other Markham sisters!

Amy’s Santa: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1 by Manda Mellett Stars-4
I absolutely love that Manda Mellett has written about the second generation! This book focuses on Amy and Drew. I love how they came together. Amy is incredibly strong, and Drew is willing to fight for those he loves. There are moments that may be triggers for some, but the author warns of this. I feel that this book was well done and a great start to this series. I cannot wait to see how this series plays out!

We are back in Spicetopia. We get to know Micah and Natalie. They are working together to bring together Cy’s and Jolie’s holiday wedding to life. I love the interaction between the two of them. They have ups and downs, but I love how their story wraps up. This story is a great addition to this series!
Earl of Darby (Once Upon a Widow #4 (and Wicked Earls’ Club) by Aubrey Wynne Stars-4
This story starts with such a sad trauma for Nicholas and his late wife. This scene is what drives and motivates Nicholas. Hannah is bright and charming. Nicholas and Hannah have excellent chemistry. I love that they both got to tell the story from their point of view. I very much enjoyed this story!

Love & Omens (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 2) by Carrie Pulkinen Stars-5
I was excited to read book 2 after reading book 1, and it was just as fantastic as the first. Carrie Pulkinen does a wonderful job on leading her readers on adventures with the characters. These adventures are exciting with highs, lows, and a great pace that completely keeps you on your toes and immersed in the storyline. I was happy that Sydney was getting her own story, and found that it isn’t always what it seems. I really enjoyed Blake. I felt that the two characters were well matched together and complemented each other wonderfully. So, if you are looking for a great series/book, look no further. This a great series! Although these can be read as a standalone, it would make the best sense when read in order.
Fire & Ice (Spicetopia Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander Stars-4
This is the third book in the Spicetopia series, which bring us a new couple:Neve and Enya. These two seem to be completely opposite of each other, and they dance between the line of love and hate. This brings hilarious moments and passionate moments as well. This story was the type that has twists and turns that kept story engaging, and wondering what is going to happen next! I really enjoyed reading Neve’s and Enya’s story!
Love & Ghosts (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen Stars-5
I think that this story had so many good things about it! There were so many different kinds of moments in this book: happiness, sadness, love, funny, and heartbreak. It was not an easy road for Emily and Sean, but it was great to read about. They each had things from their past to overcome. I also loved Sydney and Trish. They are awesome friends! This is the first book in this series, and I cannot wait to read what happens next.
Virtue & Vice (Spicetopia Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander Stars-4
I loved that we got to see Cy and Jolie again. I really liked Katja and Moon. Phoebe Alexander does a great job with her developing her characters to people that are easy to care about. Moon and Katja know what they want and are a wonderful couple to read about. There was a scene that I didn’t care for personally. However, I think that the book was well done, and was enjoyable to read.
Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander Stars-4
This was an excellent start to this series! I really liked Cy and Jolie. Each had great development through the book. They have great chemistry. Phoebe Alexander did well the the steamy parts and the development of the storyline. I loved the undercover boss idea in the book. This was a fun and enjoyable read. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
The Fisher Men On the X: Standalone book III. Steamy Military Romance by Rebel Nicks O’Dey Stars-4
This is the third story in this series. All of the stories in this series can be read as a standalone, but I think that it will be more enjoyable if you read them all. This is a great series, and this story does not disappoint. These characters, Becca and Zack, are great in their own way. They met again, but they are different than they were before. Becca is strong and amazing. They have great chemistry. I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett Stars-4
This story is Violet’s and Demon’s story. Violet is trying her best with the hand she has been dealt, but she is in trouble. She is struggling with finding a good option. I do like Violet has a character.Violet experiences the trauma of a sexual assault so certain parts may be difficult for some readers. The experiences she has endured has not made her bitter. She is taking care of so many others that she becomes used to being the source of answers. Demon comes in to help her and provides hope. However, he is adjusting to his position, and he is learning to navigate on what it means to lead. Overall, I enjoyed this story.

What a great twist on a beloved story. I loved Will and Liz. They are a good couple with Liz being strong and determined, and Will being protective and relentless. This story was entertaining and enjoyable to read. I haven’t read the previous books, but now I really want to!
Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell Stars-4
I love how the two stories from different time frames connect with each other. I think that when you have two different stories into one book that it can become confusing. However, integrating both stories was very well done. Each story had characters that became important to me, and I couldn’t wait to see what happens next. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Liz!
The Fisher Men Xing Lines (The Fisher Men Book 2) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey Stars:4
This is the second book in the Fisher Men series. Although it is part of a series, this can be read as a standalone, but I would give the first book a chance! 🙂 This story focuses on Rika and Connor. It is a fun and romantic read. I love how they “meet”. To be honest, I fell in love with these characters with the sneak peak that we got at the end of the first book! I think that Rebel Nicks O’Dey did a fantastic job with this book. I recommend this series and, particularly, this book.View all my reviews

I have really loved this series! This could be a standalone, but it is nice knowing some of the back information. I loved getting updates on previous couples, and I loved the flash forwards in this book. Manda Mellett has done a wonderful job with this series!
This is Truck’s and Allie’s story. They had to endure ups, downs, and all arounds. They each already endured so much. Each showed their strength even when they had so much trauma.

Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel by Linda Bennett Pennell Stars: 4
This story really has something for everyone: Love, mystery, drama, and past/present stories. My absolute favorite part of this book is how the stories in the past and the present intertwine with each other without becoming confusing. The story from the past was an important part of the present story.
My favorite character in the story was Liz. I didn’t think it would be. However, I feel that she grew and learned throughout the book. I particularly liked the ending of this story. I feel that Linda Bennett Pennell did a great job of wrapping up both storylines.
