Finders Reapers: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 4) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Erin Wolf

Finders Reapers (New Orleans Nocturnes, #4)Finders Reapers by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Finders Reapers: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 5) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.

This series is great. Each book reminds me how much I love this author and series. Finders Reapers is yet another win. We met these characters briefly in other books, but now it’s their turn to shine, and they do such a spectacular job. I instantly fell in love with Jasmine, she is quirky and fun with a good heart. Both of them are just misunderstood beings who long for another. The struggle with them is so interesting to watch as it progresses. Not to mention the problem going on within their beloved city. This book has all you would love in a fun package — supernatural beings, fun, action, and romance. I hope this series never ends.

If you are a fan of quirky supernatural romance, this book and series are for you. It can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is so fantastic, you should really read them all.

Evil's Whisper (Evil Saga Book 1)Evil’s Whisper by Jordan Elizabeth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the fantasy and adventure in this book. The author does an amazing job of building the characters and the world in which they live. It feels like you are actually there experiencing it all with them.

Sabiya lives in a place where women are seen as worthless and not as good as men. Fed up of that way of live she tries to escape only to be captured by outlaws.

Being captured she is almost certain to face death until the brother of another captive rescues them both.

After they rescue her the brothers end up taking Sabiya back to the very place she is trying to escape from.

Will she try to leave again? Will she succeed this time? Her adventure is a gripping story that keeps you turning the pages from beginning to end.

Moonlit Whisper: An Irish Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – Review by Colleen Noyes

Moonlit Whisper (An Irish Romance)Moonlit Whisper by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story was very enjoyable, although too short. Fiona, Lach, and Conner are all strong characters who are different in many ways but each with their own strengths. I thought that the author did a great job of giving you just a taste of each characters background and then bringing it all together. This author doesn’t put in a bunch of extra fluff words which I really like. I thought that Fiona was a strong female character who knew what she wanted and made it happen. The romance was very sweet and I could see all the characters from this book being in a full length novel and driving it remarkably well.

Fighting for Us (Love is Worth Fighting For Book 1) by Bella Emy – Review by Colleen Noyes

Fighting for Us (Love is Worth Fighting For #1)Fighting for Us by Bella Emy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was my first book by this author and I liked it. I think that the author did a great job of giving some of the backstory on each character and I thought she did a great job of introducing all of the characters. The first chapter had SO much emotion, feeling, and heartbreak that I was immediately drawn in to it, but the subsequent chapters felt like they were missing that same umf for ME, I imagine for many readers they will disagree with me and I encourage them to buy a copy and read it. I expected a little more to revolve around the MMA stuff, more fights, more details, but it seemed to just be thrown in to the middle of a love story. I appreciated that this author laid such great foundation and I think that she can really take all of these characters far with a little more depth. I fully intend to read other books by this author.

The Rest of Forever (Audio Tour) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Anastasia Dodson

This is my first audio by this author and narrator and I thought it was a great one. I loved the angels and humans mix of it and it was entertaining and it kept me interested because I havent read a story about guardians before. The two main characters were great MC’s. They had alot going on and ALOT of baggage but I love the enemies to lovers aspect and I couldn’t put this one down. I am looking forward to reading/listening to more by this author and the same for the narrator too!
Happy Listening!

Finders Reapers (New Orleans Nocturnes, #4)Finders Reapers by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finders Reapers is part of the New Orleans Nocturnes series. It can be read as a standalone.
I loved the premise of this book! It turned out to be a great read. One of my favorite expressions from the books is Holy Phantom Farts…cracked me up! There is a wonderful witty feel to this story that balances out the more serious parts.
The characters in this book are really well written. I felt sorry for Jasmine, leading the lonely life of a necromancer. And, Asher, wants to love, but initially doesn’t want to make the sacrifice to have it.
Finders Reapers features ghosts, magic, drama, suspense, and of course, romance.

5 stars!

Ah, I am in love with this series. This is the second book in the series, and I would highly suggest reading the books in order to get introductions to the characters and background on what is going on. I loved Delilah and Malakhi’s story but, I think I found a new love in Sheridan and Millicent. I wasn’t sure where this story was going to go, and when it is Millicent that is in trouble, I enjoyed watching Sheridan realize her feelings for her, and they weren’t just that of a one time fling. Meeting Sheridan’s mom and dad and seeing how they played a role was exciting, her dad seems like a good solid man so far, willing to help is daughter and her new found love. Her mom on the other hand, not so much. The twist with Miliicent, I did not see coming and it will be exciting to see how that changes her in the future. After this book, I really can’t wait to read Teivel & Oren’s story!

Evil's Whisper (Evil Saga Book 1)Evil’s Whisper by Jordan Elizabeth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Evil’s Whisper is the first book in the Evil Saga series.
The description of this book sounded interesting so I thought I’d give it a try. I liked the dark undertones to the story, but the format of the book made things a little choppy for me so I had a hard time sticking with it. The characters were awesome and I loved the premise. Since this is my first read by this author, it may just be that I need to get used to their format and writing style in order to fully immerse myself in the story.
If you like epic fantasy with some adventure, give it a try and decide for yourself.

Faida (Heartstrings Book 2) by Brooke May – Review by Kerry Carr

FaidaFaida by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Heartstrings series and I enjoyed this just as much as the first. The characters are well written. I especially loved Alice Robert’s young daughter. For someone so young she has a really faisty and determined personality and is set on helping her dad find love.

This story follows another of cupids helpers called Faida. After a life time of helping people find love and having to deal with cheaters and liers she has become as cold as icy and doesn’t actually believe love exists.
So when  she is sent on her next assignment she is expecting more of the same lies and deceit.

What she doesn’t expect is Robert Peters. Robert has had a bad experience in the past with relationships. After being hurt and cheated on he has closed his heart off to everyone apart from his little girl.

With the help of Robert’s daughter can Faida help break through Robert’s cold heart and show him what’s right in front of him? Can she thaw her own heart in the process?

A KISS UNDER A BLUE CHRISTMAS MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock 'N Sweet Romance Book 4)A KISS UNDER A BLUE CHRISTMAS MOON by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon is the 4th book in the Daydreams and Dragonflies Rock n Sweet Romance Book Series by Tamara Ferguson. I’ve been a huge fan of Tamara Ferguson’s writing for some time now, being a fan of this series and the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior books so was excited to get to read another of her books. This book keeps up her usual high standard of storytelling and of creating amazing characters that I fall in love with.
This is the amazing story of Mia and Noah. Having read the blurb, I expected to get a bit of Mia and Noah’s story as teenagers but the majority of the book to be about when they meet again as adults, but in fact it’s the other way round. Most of the book is centred around Mia and Noah meeting and falling in love as teenagers and I have to say that I loved reading about this time in their lives. Many authors give you a quick glimpse of the early years but feature on the present time but I really enjoyed that this book was different.
Noah and Mia are both amazing characters and I fell in love with both of them straight away and was desperate for the two of them to get a much deserved HEA. After how much they had gone through both together and apart, this is one couple who definitely deserved to get a HEA at the end. I recommend that you read this book to get Mia and Noah’s full story as it’s definitely a great read.

Faida (Heartstrings Novel-Book 2) by Brooke May

4-stars

Faida by Brooke May is a fun and entertaining read through and through. This is the second book in the Heartstrings series, a series I recommend reading in order for your full enjoyment. This is a truly original series as it follows Cupids with their newest love assignments. I’ve never read anything like it!

I was able to read this story in one sitting as I found it to be a shorter read, however, I still enjoyed it. It’s a quick, witty, intriguing and easy to read story that follows Faida with her newest assignment. An assignment I was really intrigued by and didn’t want to end.

I look forward to reading more from this author in the future and would recommend this series to anyone looking for their next one of a kind read.

Moonlit Whisper by Amy McKinley is a novella in the Moonlit Destination Series. This book can be read as a standalone.

Fiona agrees to help the new transfer student from the football team. She definitely had no reason to believe it would be Connor. What were the chances? She thought she’d never see him again. Will they be able to rekindle the closeness they had or is there too much history?

I truly enjoyed reading this book even though it was on the shorter side. I wouldn’t complain about reading more of Fiona and Connor’s story! It was very well written you just get sucked in until the end!

A KISS UNDER A BLUE CHRISTMAS MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock 'N Sweet Romance Book 4)A KISS UNDER A BLUE CHRISTMAS MOON by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I truly love this series and the wonderful characters that Tamara Ferguson creates within her worlds. If you have never read a book by this wonderful author then all I can say is why not!!!!!

This book engulfs you back into Crystal Rock and lets you eavesdrop on this wonderful story were to a point you believe are living the life with the characters. I loved the character of Mia she is so warm and loving, with just a hint of longing for a love she had when she was younger. Noah although the rugged Air Force hero has his own demons to battle but just needs to reconnect with the loving soul he fell for while at music camp all those many years ago.

The story will have you hooked from the first word to the last and with Tamara you get all the feelings and emotions drawn from the brilliant writing. To say that these people before you become like friends and that you feel so drawn into the book you feel you are following them all the way.

If you like books with heart and well written stories, developed characters and just a bloody ggod read, please check this brilliant author you will not be disappointed.

This is the second book in the Heartstrings series. It can be read as a stand-alone though I do suggest that you read book one as well ( it was just as good as this one). The story is a sweet romance with a supernatural twist. The series is quite original in the fact that’s it’s about Cupid. Each cupid is assigned to bring love to a specific person. In this book, it’s Faida’s turn. Faida’s past targets have shown her betrayal and heartache which caused her to harden her heart. Her newest target Robert has a heart colder than hers. How can she convince Robert to take a chance on love again when she’s given up as well? Read to find out.

Hell Hath No Fury (Life Is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie

As usual this author hits it out of the park once again. I love this continuing story and these characters. This one focuses on one of my favorites from the first book, Sheridan and then Millicent who is one of the deputies in Juniper Lake. Im so very thankful that these books are very clean and any type of sex is just implied. The reason I say this is I don’t normally read MM or FF books. I just can’t relate to them and those types of relationships. Nothing wrong with them, it’s just harder for me to feel those connections. This series though is so completely awesome in its storylines and the smooth reading, and I never seem to want them to end. I love when all of the characters are together and their interactions are so much fun. I actually feel like I transport into these books and feel like part of the story.

I was still left with a few questions I had from the first book. There’s a history between Malakhi and Teivel and it feels like something I really want to know more about. I’m praying the next book is about Teivel and a possible connection that was beginning to form in this one.

I don’t normally read any sort of fantasy or paranormal but I’m a forever fan of this author and will read anything she writes. The addition of some of the types of characters in this story was fun. I fell in love with Jasper, Sam, and Larkspur and really hope we get a lot more of them in the next part.

You really in my opinion need to read these in order. I imagine a person would be left with a lot of question marks if you start with this one. Read them both, they are amazing and a lot of fun!

I can not wait for Book 3!

Faida (Heartstrings Book 2) by Brooke May

Oh how I love this series!! I didn’t think anyone could top Aiko but Faida has come pretty close. This was such a sweet heart warming story, heart warming being the key words there. These books have such unique storylines, not often, if ever, have I read books where the main characters play roles in a romance quite like this.

I read this book in a little under an hour and hated for it to end. I don’t want to give away any of the storyline so will just mention that Alice was one of my favorite characters in this book, her connection to Faida was awesome and having Aiko show up here and there also made me smile. I love this author’s writing style and am already looking forward to book 3.

This can absolutely be read as a stand alone but the first book is just as awesome so would recommend reading them both.

A definite feel good quick read! Loved it!!

I fell in love with these two characters right from the start. Mia and Noah both reeled me in and their connection and how it grew through the story was once again vintage Tamara Ferguson. I love this author, I love that even after so many books in a few series that take place in Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, I never ever get tired of revisiting. I’ve said this before but opening a book by this author is like coming home. There’s a comfort zone I know I’m going to enter as soon as I open the book! Might sound sappy but it is Fact!

This author writes a second chance romance like no other. They are each unique and believable and I can not recommend this book high enough. This was the best way for me to end my Christmas reading this season, and might just be one of my favorites by her to date.

Loved it!!

Irresistible Christmas – Pets to the Rescue (Irresistible Romance Book 6) ANTHOLOGY – Review by Robin Rankin

IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS (Irresistible Romance Book 2)IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

IRRESISTIBLE CHRISTMAS – PETS TO THE RESCUE ANTHOLOGY

I have no idea what we as humans did to deserve the love we get from our pets but I’m so happy to have the live of my two dogs as well as all of the other pets in my life.  There is just something about a story with a pet involved that makes me love it just a little more.

The story I’m going to highlight is Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson which is the seventeenth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance.

Kinley is new to Crystal Rock, she’s been hired to run the animal shelter, specifically the Wounded Warrior program which will pair up animals and Veterans.

Jake is back in Crystal Rock on an assignment and while there is helping out at the shelter.   He has no idea that someone from his past will come back into his life.

I really enjoyed the story but the animals were the stars as far as I’m concerned.   Buster and McTavish had amazing and large personalities they both stole my heart.

Holmes continues to beautifully blend story with history and make an ancient culture come to life, jumping off the pages. As a history buff, I truly appreciate the detail Holmes includes and certainly this book was no exception. I was immediately transported to a time very different from present and still was able to immediately connect to the main character. The raw emotion that was present from page one just jumped into my heart. I loved this book and cannot recommend it highly enough.

This was a short and sweet story. You don’t really learn much about the characters since it’s so short. You do get a lot of background history about Fio, Lach and Connor. I found the relationship dynamic interesting. I didn’t like how Fio kept talking about how she needed Connor and he wasn’t there. Like she wouldn’t have survived without a guy to lean on. Like he had no choice. Her relationship with Lach was so fake I saw the outcome s mile away. I loved how the necklace played a part in this. The fairies waking her up was extremely cute. Overall a nice quick read

Moonlit Whisper : An Irish Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley

This is another great read by Amy McKinley. McKinley knows how to draw readers in and keep them wanting more.

Fiona is a fourth year college student and is happy. At least she thinks she is. When the boy from next door moves back things change. The quote I chose for Fiona is: “I’m glad you’re back, Connor, but I’m not yours anymore. I’m engaged to Lachlan.”

Connor left his hometown to get away from his abusive dad. When he comes back he finds that things have changed. When Fiona ends her engagement he gets another chance. The quote I chose for Conner is: “It’s our turn, Fio, like we were always meant to be. I’m never leaving you again.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
