I enjoyed this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life on each page. This is a fast paced story about Susan who has moved to start a new life and a new business. Then you have Eric who has someone trying to take his land and business. The last thing he expected was to fall in love. What will fate have in store for them? They are great characters and made the story feel realistic. This is an engaging story that kept me reading to the end. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed this shorter paranormal story. This is a newer author for me and Iook forward to seeing what is next for her. I found this book to be a well developed story that took me on an adventure of saving a community and even themselves. The characters are engaging and I had no problems relating to them. They brought the story to life on every page. I really enjoyed the adventure this MC took me on from being kidnapped to escaping to being gifted something a sorcerer is after. Will this MC figure things out before it is too late? This MC really did make this story fun and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is a newer author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well written story that the authors attention to details gave the story a realistic feel. The characters bring the story to life on each page. They are relatable and kept the story engaging. This is a story where vampires and wolves collide until one Fae interferes. What happens next you don’t want to miss. It is an adventure of finding healing, accepting the bonds and letting fate take over the romance. I truly enjoyed this story and what the characters bring to the story. Who don’t enjoy stories of vampires and wolves. I highly recommend this book. It is worth the read.

First and foremost, I want to say while this is the third book in this series, it totally works as a stand-alone in my opinion, but it will make you want to read the others if you haven’t already!!
With that in mind, this was my first Brashear novel, and I am genuinely so pleased to have found a new author to add to my “Must Read” list! I’d also never read a book set in Hawaii or the 1960’s and I wasn’t sure how I would like the combo, but Brashear is a gifted world builder, and her character development is second to none! I felt like I was walking the beach with Claudia at sunset with our platform shoes slung over our shoulders eating a shaved ice! Having never truly been to Hawaii, it was a wonderful escape into Brashear’s world, especially getting to meet the leading man!! Holy Smokes is he swoon-worthy!! Overall, the book was a true joy to read, and I did it all in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. Flirty, nostalgic, romantic, and totally what true love is all about…well if you don’t count the angst and sorrow thrown in. But that’s what makes it real and relatable. My only hesitance in giving it the 5th star was the sporadic use of Hawaiian dialect. I’ve read books written in dialect before and find it helpful/enjoyable if used very sparingly. In Try Right I felt key phrases were overused and too many characters would speak traditional English and then randomly break into dialect, so it pulled me out of the conversation to figure out what they were saying or to remember “oh yeah, another reminder we are in Hawaii,” which I hadn’t forgotten. I understand this is a very personal reading preference and others may not even notice what I’m referring to. So, know I gladly and highly recommend this to lovers of love and true romantics. Author K.L. Shandwick has mastered the art of taking you on a ride of exploration, through personal self introspective, sexual exploration, self awareness and love for others through past pain. I listened to this book in one day. The main characters were so vivid you felt their triumphs and pain to your core. I laughed at times and was also shocked at times ( in a good way) . When the past meets the present sparks fly. An amazing day spent in the imagination of this wonderful author. I will certainly read this author again.

Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery by K.L. Montgomery is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series. This is a fantastic book that is so entertaining from start to finish. It is a little different from what this author has written previously but it has been done so well that you would never realise. The characters are all so interesting and all have the perfect role within the story. I also loved the fact that Sunshine actually felt like a normal person – it was so easy to imagine her and relate to her as though she is someone you would see on the street everyday. I always enjoy books written by this author and this one is definitely no exception. It is entertaining from start to finish and a great start to a new series. I am already looking forward to book 2!

Bovine Tricks by Seelie Kay is the first book in the Royals Gone Rogue series. This book is a little different from others you might have read by this author but it is still well written and highly entertaining. I knew from reading the description that this book would at least be interesting and it certainly was that. The world that the main characters are thrust into is not something you would stumble across in every day life. The author handles that well and has created a great story as a result. I liked the main characters as well. I thought they had a strong connection and were quite fun to read about. The book was full of suspense and, despite having a slightly different type of content, still had depth to it. This was a great book and certainly worth reading.

KM Lowe has quickly become one of my fav romantic novelists to pick up. Her reads can take me away with the characters to where they are and make me feel as if I am on the adventure they are on experiencing first hand what they do. I love books that can do this for me. Date Night was no exception and quickly became a little getaway to Glasgow, somewhere I hope to get someday. I loved how this was an easy read even though it tackled the demons of the characters pasts. It never felt heavy and dark, which is nice at times but not always. I could relate to the characters and was rooting for them to get the happily ever after the whole time I read their story. I cannot wait to see what will come next from Ms. Lowe!

I thoroughly enjoyed this enjoyable and engaging cozy mystery which is the first book in a new series about YA librarian and amateur sleuth Sunshine Baker, and is set in the fictional small town of Bryce Beach. Sunshine who is a curvy redheaded librarian who despite her surname can’t bake works at the Bryce Beach Public Library and she jumps into action when there is a mystery to solve. When the proceeds from the library’s annual fundraising gala and Bryce Beach’s Bible, a priceless historical artefact which contains the town’s founding fathers’ signatures goes missing, Nancy Drew fan Sunshine despite no sleuthing experience is keen to discover the culprit. However she soon starts to wonder if it’s one of her own colleagues who is out to destroy the library. I love Sunshine and her catchphrase of “Jesus, take the wheel!”, she makes a great main character who really does bring the whole story together. Her colleagues, children’s librarian Molly Simmons and cataloguer Evangeline Dupree both bring different elements to the story and I loved the relationships and dialogue between the fellow librarians. The descriptive narrative really bought both the characters and the setting to life and I felt immersed in the story as though I was on the adventure alongside Sunshine. The plot twists kept me guessing until the end and I was gripped by the storyline and found I could not put this book down. ‘Betrayal at the Beach’ is the first book in the new ‘Dangerous Curves’ cozy Christian mystery series, and this is a great introduction to Sunshine and Bryce Beach. I look forward to reading the future books in this series and being back in the Bryce Beach Public Library with Sunshine and her colleagues.

Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery by K.L. Montgomery is the first in the Dangerous Curves Book series. I was excited to pick up another book by this author because I have enjoyed her other books. This was no exception. We are taken to Bryce Beach and get to follow Sunshine as she uncovers what happened to the missing Library Gala fundraising money. Sunshine is a perfect name for this character because she just exudes happiness. I love her background of sleuthing knowledge and her devotion not only to the library but to her town. This is a great start to a fun, easy reading series. This was the perfect curl up with a cup of tea and read type of book. I look forward to more adventures in this new series.

Date Night was an incredibly entertaining romance read, it was touching, sweet and steamy, oh so steamy! I really enjoyed how short and sweet this story was, there was no beating around the bush it was straight to the point and I loved that! From the very beginning the author intrigued me with the main characters and I really enjoyed reading about them and their development throughout the story. I honestly enjoyed this story from start to finish.

This was a beautiful love story. It was so sweet and so full of passion. It was nice to read a love story that didn’t have a will they won’t they element to it. This story is perfect and I loved it.
Kyle had a bad relationship on the past. He was cheated on and his ex stole from him. After that he sealed himself off and vowed never to love again. Until Hannah came along.
Hannah keeps her distance from men. After her ex came out as gay on valentines day, Hannah felt like her heart was ripped apart. However she realises she didn’t even know what love was until Kyle.
Their relationship is so strong and passionate and when they both let their boundaries down the wonder and power of love shines through.

Fake Fiancé by Amy McKinley is one of those books that is easy to get lost in. Ms. Brown’s voice is very pleasant and helped me get lost a little more in the story.
Adeline is young and ambitious and ready to start the next phase of her life in Italy without a clue on how much is going to happen once she gets there.
I have never had the pleasure of going to Italy but it’s on my list, and Verona is pretty high on my list of cities to visit, partially because of this book.

I enjoyed this collection of short stories as they were all different romances based on myths or legends. My favourite was Dragon’s Heart by Carrie Austin Malone. This is a steamy paranormal romance with a strong female lead. The character development is intertwined within the story which keeps the story moving. It is fast paced and entertaining with a unique twist on dragon lore.

A brilliant piece of writing. The story draws you in from the start and immerses the reader in a world where everything is not what it appears. So many twists and turns had me drawing conclusions that ended up shattered in the next chapter. The author is a natural with imagery (plenty of ‘show, don’t tell’) and the characterisation was on point. A powerful storyline full of secrets, deceit and betrayal, had me turning the pages late into the night. I highly recommend this book.
This is the fifth book in the Logan McKenna series. This audio book is just under 7 hours long. The story follows Logan as she goes on a vacation – one she has not taken in years – and ends up getting pulled into a homicide investigation. Just when she thought she would be able to enjoy a family vacation, a murder happens in a normally quiet town. Trouble seems to follow this poor girl. The characters are well written, and scenery is very detailed. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. This series get better and better.

Date Night by KM Lowe is a romance novel that you wouldn’t want to miss.
Valentine’s Day is a day dedicated to passion. It’s a day for couples to prove how much they care for one another. Gifts and romantic acts are the order of the day on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day, on the other hand, brings Hannah Brently nothing but heartache and suffering. It wasn’t her definition of fun to be dumped on February 14th. It makes her hate the whole institution of love. That is before Kyle Randall enters her life. Kyle Randall is one of the most deserving Batchelor’s in Glasgow. With his riches and good looks, he’s the complete package. He isn’t looking for affection, though. That is, before his and Hannah’s worlds collide. When two pessimistic people meet for the first time, what could happen? Would Hannah and Kyle’s Valentine’s Day ever be the same? Take a seat, unwind, and enjoy the journey.
I loved every page of it. Every chapter was lovely. I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

I have really loved both books in this series, I really enjoy how the author builds the characters and how they are so in tune with their heritage, I now really want to visit Athens! Also, the added recipes are a great touch. This story follows Mia in her new career as Associate Art Director at a new up and coming magazine. After having met Nicolas for the first time (or so she thought) at an event she was involved with she is delighted when she is hired in his new company, until she gets to know him. This was a sweet and fun novel with lovable characters and a sweet back story. I liked the use of flashbacks to show more about Mia’s grandfather’s history and hope that his story finally gets some closure in the next book.

Wow! This book jumped off its pages!! You talk about a suspense filled romance that hits all the right notes – this is it. The characters had amazing chemistry and felt very three dimensional and intentional. I appreciated the story development and how it was well balanced in theme and timing. My only complaint is waiting for the next in the series to be released. Just an excellent read for suspense/romance lovers.
I was super excited to read this book because I had heard so many good things about it from my reader friends. I have read a couple of books by this author previously so I was pretty sure I knew I would like it. Turns out, I didn’t just like it. I LOVED IT! The author did a wonderful job writing for “plus-sized” women that don’t normally get this joy. I think it adds to a positive image for the readers and makes them feel confident and comfortable in their skin. Which is the way that life should be for women. This book also contains some religious undertones which I have never known her to do before but think that they are perfect, and I hope that she continues to use them. The world needs more of that in my opinion. I fell in love with the main character and really want to be her in another life. The writer did such an amazing job describing her and everything little detail around her and her world. This is a mystery as well, but without all the typical gore and brutality. I loved the ending and absolutely cannot wait to read the next installment when she puts it out. This is a very quick read and once you start you won’t want to put it down. I highly recommend you read this book for yourself. And then recommend it to all your girlfriends to read as well.
