Beck and Halyey are a combo I won’t of expected. At the Country club taking lessons is how we start. I really enjoyed the bakcstory as it adds a nice community element to the book. The mystery is well thought out and as Beck investsged I find myself running through the pages wanting to know the conclusions.

Vengeance is the fifth book in The Sundown Series by Courtney Konstantin and can be read as a standalone. This is my first read by this author. It’s a post apocalyptic. I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. This is quite the emotional rollercoaster ride., my emotions were all over the place. Get ready for the emotional journey Max takes you on she’s suffered a tragic accident and tries to keep her family safe. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

We are back in Scotland with Katie and Colm following the story of the book but will there be some secrets that should not be revealed.
Katie and Colm are back in Scotland after the great revolution and trying to undertake the task they have been set, but coming back up with familiar enemies and battles can the two of them stay on track especially with the danger, magic and spies.
As they go through the book Colm also has some decisions to make but will he make the right ones, you will have to read and find out.
I have to start with if you have not read the other books, one why not?? but another I feel you would enjoy the story better having the full back story of the other two books. I was gutted when book 2 finished on such a cliff-hanger but glad this book picked right back up with the plot and the story just got better from that first page to the last.
I love these two characters together and they had to really rely on each other with the people and the tasks they had along the way. The book is full of twists and turns and I seriously did not see any of it coming which is always brilliantly in a story as this keeps you engaged until the end. I always loved the secondary characters which just give the book depth but also the amazing scenery within Scotland.
I can’t wait bring on book 4.

This is an awesome series, I enjoyed this one just as much as the first two. I love time travel stories when they are made to feel like it could really happen and this has given me that. I’m not a big historical fan but after reading the first I had to continue on. I love this author and will always give her books a try.
I don’t recommend reading these out of order, you really need all of them to get the full effect of the ongoing story.
Excellent writing with a unique storyline and it has a super smooth flow allowing me to read it in one sitting.

Vengeance is the first book I have read by Courtney Konstantin. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy starting with the 5th book in a series, but I quickly discovered that Courtney does a phenomenal job making this a stand alone book. She smoothly explained the characters in the story while not making it seem like an awkward explanation. There was also some important backstory that I will enjoy going back to read, but it was able to be shared within the context of the characters’ dialogue and inner thoughts. This is a story of family dynamics and characters’ journeys in an apocalypse. I really enjoyed that while aspects of zombie stories, such as how to kill the zombies, were retained, there was a fresh take on the characters and what they were enduring. At one point in some action, I found my entire body tense as I flew through the book to find out what would happen to Max. Max Duncan is a fantastic and interesting main character. I found lyrics to a song aptly describe Max’s journey. She is making her way in the world today taking everything she’s got. Jump into this series with this book or any of the other books in the Sundown series. You won’t regret it.

Goddess of Everything: A Blood-Curdling Tale Of Affection Of One Mother for Her Son and Her Son’s Struggle for Truth, Freedom and Love is a psychological thriller filled with fantasy, religion and horror by Paul DeBlassie III. This book is well written but very complex. When reading books by Mr. DeBlassie, I always have to make sure I have time by myself to really concentrate on reading. This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout. It was a wild ride, which included secret rituals and sacrifices. The world building is well written and very detailed. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books from this author.

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell #1) by Kyra Lennon was a great 5 star read.
I love Rocker reads and I was pulled right in from the beginning.
Ellie’s childhood best friends are becoming huge rock stars. They quickly discover that as you gain stardom that things in your past become public knowledge, even things they don’t want to come up. Ellie has always been there for Drew and Jason and she is there for them now even more. She had a closer connection with Jason when they were younger but now Ellie finds herself feeling something stronger for Drew. Does he feel the same? Will all their secrets be revealed?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. We get lots of twists and turns that add a great element to the story. My emotions were all over the place. All of the secondary characters were great as well. I felt like I had a couple of different stores going on at the same time. The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

I love that you catch up with characters from the previous books in the series. You also don’t have to read the first two to enjoy this one. I can’t wait to read more from Carrie Pulkinen!

I found it fully that the main characters where in the same business but never ran into each other. With Erica running a haunted community theater and Gage being a paranormal investigator. The story like most of Carrie Pulkinen stories was fun and entertaining. It felt light and mellow. Though those ghost showed their ugly side plenty. In the story Erica is trying to turn the tables on her failing haunted theater and hopefully with Gage help she can make that happen. Unrequited love is so hard. You have to make sure the person on the receiving end doesn’t feel like that other person is in love with their past. Then the giving person has to make sure that the other person isn’t talking to the because now they’re hot. Very slippery slope that the author cleared fabulously. Was a good read and will continue to root for this author and her amazing work

As a new to me author, there’s usually a getting to learn their writing style and get into the groove of reading, and I found myself clicking with this pretty quickly.
I love rock star romances, friends to lovers and girl chases guy books and this is a hat trick of all of those things.
I really liked this story, including the secondary characters. I can’t wait to read the next book!!

Bound by Secrets is the second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops Series by Amy McKinley. Ms. McKinley is one of my go to authors. This series is one of my favorites of hers, but who doesn’t love suspense, romance with Navy Seals and Hawaii added in. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Kayla and Jaxon have some great chemistry. The story is full of twists and turns. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After Series. You will most definitely want to read the first book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I honestly recommend you read the first book as well. The story came to life on every single page. Loved how well written the story is from page one and on. Loved the characters as well as the plot-line. The author has wowed me and kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. All around an amazing ghostly romance story with a secrets, and second chances. Trent Austin suddenly inherits a mansion from his recently deceased creepy, crazy uncle. He is a successful, big city lawyer and wants to sale the run-down mansion as quickly as possible. Who better to call to help him other than his ex almost girlfriend Tina Sanders. Tina Sanders is a fun going, big time, real estate agent. When she receives a call from Trent whom she dumped months ago, she is very surprised. They quickly learn there is more to the mansion than they may realize. Really enjoyed this book! This is a very entertaining story. I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series!

I was absolutely blown away by this story. A horror book about dealing with the undead and dating at the same time? This is such a great concept. It’s funny, but at the same time, macabre. I honestly did not expect too much in such a short story, but the author really surprised me. I could not but it down.
Such a unique concept in a genre that tends to get a little stale, I hope there will be more books set I this world. I highly recommend it to those who need a quick fix of horror.

This book is a fast-paced paranormal romance and a mystery thriller. Ethan Broderick has recently realized that he hails from a family of witches and joins the coven. He is an oracle who is looking for guidance to unravel his new powers. Serena Bishop is the head priestess of the Coven and is quite powerful. Serena helps Ethan on how to work his power. Ethan gets a vision that Serena is about to be killed and plunges to help her. As they are trying to stop the killer from getting close to Serena, they develop a connection on their own.
The plot is very fast paced and the characters are interesting. The book keeps the readers on the edge of their seats. It can be easily finished in one sitting. If you are looking for a quick fast paced read, pick this book.

Price of a Rose: a Beauty and Beast tale (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 2) by Byrd Nash. I loved the first book in this series so I was so excited to read this one. It did not disappoint! Its the retelling of Beauty and the Beast and its done in such a way that I loved it even more than the original. Its the story of three sisters Lily, Rose and Poppy. When their father tries to steal the Moab Rose and gets caught instead of letting them kill him he gives the his daughters to the local “Beast”. Lily being the oldest feels like she has to run the household and take care of her sisters. Rose the middle child loves to garden even though its considered a “man’s work” and Poppy is a little Pippi Longstocking in her as she loves to read and magic! As they begin to make themselves more at home at “Thorn Hill” which is a character all in itself things begin to happen that no one can control! Read this wonderful retelling. You won’t be disappointed!

Gunner saved her life and they end up running into each other and spending the night together. Now Gunner has hope but someone is determined to ruin their newfound happiness. You will not be able to put this one down until the very last page.

This is the second book in the Antipodes series. This is a young adult/dystopian novel and comes in at just over 400 pages. This story follows Cam as he heads out on a journey and discovers what family really means. I loved that the book is focused on “if we had the opportunity to start over, would we?” And “is our society destined to make the same mistakes?” This book really makes you think about what it would be like to start over and if given the chance, would you make the same choices.

Its the story of Ellie Hayes and her neighbors Jason and Drew. While she was growing up they were just her friends next door and part of her everyday life now they are famous rock stars in a band called Razes Hell. They are up and coming and after getting some bad publicity they get Ellie to help them. Their manager starts a fake feud between the brothers but it ends up causing them to fight in real life. Ellie is also fighting feelings for Drew. She is trying to keep them to herself but they inevitably come out and the two start dating. They try to keep it quite but of course it gets out. Will all the craziness of fans and the rock star life keep Ellie and Drew from each other. Will Drew and Jason end up breaking up for good? Read Nobody knows to find out!

A Tennis Pro To Die For by Judy Moore is the third book in the Cozy Mysteries To Die For series. This has got to be my favourite book of the series so far. It was intriguing and such an exciting story that for me was completely made by the characters. I fell in love with them as soon as I started reading. They were so easy to engage with and completely caught my interest. The story was well written and thought out perfectly. It keeps you guessing the whole way through and is full of suspense.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from the moment I started reading it and I would certainly recommend it to any fan of this genre.

This is a beautiful story about 3 friends and all the things the have gone through together. This book will make you laugh and will definately make you cry. It deals with some tough subjects include death and emotion and shows that even though we think someone had a perfect life the reality is different

It brings out a lot of rivalry and anger between the two brothers and Ellie is caught in the middle. Add to this her growing feelings for Drew and things heat up even more.
Just when you think there could be a happy ending one mistakes threatens to ruin it all. Can Drew and Ellie work? Can Jason and Drew repair their relationship after all this time? Will Ellie be forced to choose between her two best friends?
Capturing Fate by Abbie Roads

Daughter Dawson is a psychologist who knows very little about her past, being adopted when she was younger with the express rule that she keep the name Daughter, (which if you ask me is a really crappy name, but there you go, she’s stuck with it for the rest of her life) she is at a loss as to where she came from and who her parents are. Quite early on, however, the bombshell of all bombshells is dropped in Daughter’s lap and literally blows her world apart, her father happens to be a serial killer.
Dolan (I don’t know what it is with the D names but hey, just gotta roll with it) is an interesting character, dealing with a lot of dark and horrible crap in his past that has left him with some interesting coping mechanisms? I question because I assume that’s what they are. I won’t spoil it for all the readers out there – got to leave a little mystery and all that – but I thought the way that Roads wrote Dolan was really intriguing. Dolan works for the FBI and bodies have definitely been turning up, at least he is pretty sure that bodies are turning up, no one else around him seems as convinced. In light of this, its decided that maybe the best thing for him is to go seek some professional help for his apparent issue and that’s when Daughter and Dolan meet.
Obviously the first time they meet there is an instant connection and I’ve got to say that it kind of rankled me a little bit. The instant connection deal that is in most romance novels annoys me anyway, I get why it’s there and I know that other people enjoy it, but for me, it just feels daft and unearned. You can find someone attractive but the instant eye-meeting and being completely turned-on shenanigans that turns up quite a bit just doesn’t do it for me and in this book, I just felt that it really didn’t need it. Daughter and Dolan already have this really quite horrific things connecting them, drawing them together, and if felt that it was enough.
Still, I will say that this is an enjoyable read, I thought that the premise was really interesting and it did keep me hooked. Thought it was a compelling idea really, I mean how would you react if you found that a parent you had never known suddenly decided to turn up in your life and they were a serial killer. I think I’d find a nice little rock to hide under. For me the romance between Daught and Dolan was okay, but I felt like it took centre stage in the novel when it really didn’t need to, there were other elements that I wish Roads had focused on just a little bit more. Still, someone else who reads this may think the balance is just right and that the romance is needed. Tis just my opinion. I will say that, even with how I feel about the romance, it was well written, in fact, this whole book was well written. I didn’t actually realise till quite a way in that this was the second book in a series, I mean honestly, you really can’t tell, it does a grand job of standing alone. I may have to go back and read the first one though, just to see what I am missing out on. Would recommend this to romance and thriller lovers alike, this story has both in equal measure and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed reading The Goddess of Everything from Paul DeBlassie III. This is one thriller that will and did keep me sitting on the edge of my seat as I followed the story of Gabriel de LaTierra, a psychiatric healer. This is one that really takes it time to build and find that smashing ending, but I felt all the time spent was well worth every second. I found myself really connecting to Gabriel and becoming invested in his journey and the layers that surround it and build. I have high hopes this is not the last of this type of novel from DeBlassie, because I will be there to devour it next. I do look forward to seeing whatever new comes from him. This is my absolute favorite of his so I hope he can top it! If thrillers and layered, well planned and thought out novels that engage you are your thing, this is a book you do not want to miss out on reading!

Shannon you’ve done it again! Chimera Rising is the third book in The Traveler series, and my personal favorite. I have been impatiently waiting for this book since i finished Chimera Revolution, and Shannon just keeps amazing me! I HIGHLY advise to read these in order, and I highly recommend reading them all! This book, along with the rest of it’s series, is such a beautiful series of ups and downs, and will absolutely hook you from page one. It has quickly become my favorite series, and i just cannot wait to get my hands on more from this author! Shannon knows just how to weave an absolutely spell binding (Pun intended!) work of art!

If you have not checked out Shannon Nemechek and her series The Book of Eleanor, you have been missing an awesome series. This is the third book in the series so i HIGHLY recommend reading the first two before reading this book. In this series there has been time travel, fantasy, magic, danger, mystery, and plenty of paranormal activity to just name a few things. The characters really compliment the plotline well. They are fully developed and complex. I have enjoyed Kate and Colm from the beginning book. They have been through a lot, but are they able to get into just a little more? I found myself turning the pages very quickly because I wanted to see what Kate and Colm is in store next. I did read the book in one sitting. Make sure you are comfortable, have all your snacks, and get ready for a roller coaster ride.

The killer has a type, blondes, as in all good mystery stories, finding the type of victim helps find the killer. This story has both sides, one from Cades and one from the killers. In the end the good guys win. That is my favorite part of all mysteries. You will not be disappointed with this book!

This Pulkinen book might be my favorite of the series so far. A beautiful mix of paranormal and romance. I’m a sucker for friends to lovers trope and this one hits all of the right notes. Throw in some crazy spectral activity and you’ve got yourself a keeper. Loved every page.

After reading the first book of this series, McKinley excellent job building from pertinent characters mentioned in the first book. Xander and Jaxon are brothers and while not the main characters in this book, Xander and Riley début. The investigation that Xander had started is still in progress with Jaxon joining in. The character development is still my favorite aspect of her books, and I can’t wait to keep reading the series.

Amy McKinley executes this intertwining with perfection in Twisted Secrets: Deadly Isles Special Ops, Book 1. The book view is through the eyes of Xander and Riley. Xander, a Navy SEAL on temporary leave due to an injury, hears Riley’s voice outside the Coffee Hut and immediately decides to meet her. Riley feels the same attraction but feels somewhat guilty since she already has a boyfriend. Xander continues his pursuit of a friendship with her, and Riley begins to question her current relationship with Charles. Charles was her theory professor that she had met via her friend Mel. Mel was also dating Charles but to make everything more complicated, the professor was also married. When Riley chooses to no longer make Charles a priority and spends a day with her confidant and best friend Ava, the thoughts of how unhappy she is with him surface. Finally, Riley attempts to end her relationship with Charles and begins to spend more time with Xander. Meanwhile, Xander has been working on finding answers to the ambush that had caused his injury. After several days of spending time together, Riley and Xander begin a relationship. Trouble brews as Charles refuses to end the relationship, Mel suddenly disappears, and Riley’s apartment becomes the focus of a murder investigation. The character development that McKinley crafted is far superior to many suspense romance novels that I have read. The ending of the book is definitely shocking and tied all loose ends together. It also left open the future of Xander’s investigation on the ambush in his last mission.
I eagerly looked forward to reading the sequel.
