What another great read from Jody Lynn Daniels. Once again she has absolutely no problem connecting me to the story or the characters from the get-go. This is a read that just transports you into the world of these characters you get so hooked up into their story that the next minute you know you finished the book, and left wanting more! This is one of them books that just makes you feel good while reading it and after. I loved following these characters journey I really connected with them, they were real, relatable, loveable and just really made this book what it is! I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly suggest you get comfortable and enjoy this read!

Virtually Gone (High-Tech Crime Solvers #6) by Jacquie Biggar. This book was slightly out of my normal type of reads but I absolutely did enjoy reading this book. I have read other books by this author and liked them so much that I came back for more. It was filled with crime, drama, suspense and mystery, I was not able to put it down until I was able to get to the end of the story. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire book. I can not wait to see what else Ms. Biggar has in store for us.

I have a bad habit of reading books out of order in series and this book was no exception. I have to say that finding a new author and a new series is one of my favorite things. I didn’t feel out of sorts starting with book 4 but I know it is not everyone’s cup of tea to do this. This author has quite a refreshing plot and story line as well as characters. The characters really just jump right off of the pages and I felt as though I was there right in the thick of it.
I really like the chemistry between Sebastian and Chloe. I like how the whole thing is very realistic. The author brings in just the right amount of drama to the romance and catches the reader’s attention from the start. I really like how the whole concept felt real and didn’t feel like it was predictable. I could relate to Chloe and felt the emotions run through me as I read the book and I just could not put it down till I finished. I look forward reading more from this author and hopefully this series.

The Frontman by Lawrence Parlier is my first book by this author, and I loved it! I was hooked from the beginning and stayed up much later than I should have just to read this great book! This book is sad, heartfelt, and just overall an emotional roller coaster. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be reading it again! I recommend this great book, and can’t wait to see more from Lawrence Parlier!

This is an okay story. I enjoyed parts but others area I didn’t care for. The two main characters the author did a good job with them. I liked them both and wanted them to be happy. As for secondary characters the dogs were a cute add as well as Jake, Abby and Logan. Speaking of dogs I enjoyed the time that Chloe spent at the vet clinic. All the crazy pets and how she helped them (even the stuffed ones) were cute.
The story seemed a bit slow. A few different times I was confused over the time line. The characters went over the same day but different events happened. So I thought I was a day or so ahead but it turns out the same day. Pretty minor but co fusing to the reader.
Overall it’s cute and is a nice idea. Happy and terrible things happened making the story interesting.

Confidentiality is the second book in the Scope of Practice series by Jessica Aiken-Hall. This is a crime/ thriller that kept me up long after my bedtime, just to find out who did it. Boundaries, the first book in the series should be read first to get the whole backstory. Valerie is a great character, I felt like I really knew her. The witty banter between her and Tim was entertaining. This book kept me guessing right until the end. I highly recommend this book, series and author. I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Aiken-Hall.

Schneider needs to be immediately added to every single fantasy-lover’s must read list. I always hope but never know how she will surpass her previous work. The Crown of Stones books are simply amazing stories. This novella is set up beautifully to be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone. However I will express that once you read once you won’t want to read it without the others. You will want to immerse yourself in the entire universe. Another amazing journey with Ian Troy!

Calamity Under the Chandelier by Bianca Blythe is a murder mystery set just before WWII. This whodunit story is light and entertaining. It ends with an unexpected twist that main character, Cora, didn’t see coming. If you’re a fan of the game Clue, you’ll enjoy this story as Cora gathers clues to figure out who killed the Duke and how. I had fun trying to figure out who it was and look forward to the next story in this series.

The Princess and the Pit Bulls: Book Four in the Fairy Tale Series by Jody Lynn Daniels is a great fantasy story that is easy to become part of the story. With magic and mystery of love and let’s not forget the furry characters, what could be better to keep you engaged and turning pages. It is a sweet, fun and heart-warming story and the characters are loveable. The story definitely has all the feels and warm and fuzzies and is a great way to get lost for an afternoon and have a good laugh at the antics of our female lead. If only the past doesn’t raise its ugly head.

What a fantastic read! This quick read was one I devoured before I realized I was coming up in the last page. I really loved how Daniels set up the storyline. Aiken-Hall has put herself in a class by herself. This second book is as brilliant as its predecessor. It completely captivated me and held me breathless for much of it. Emotionally raw, I literally felt every page. Simply brilliant. I want more from this author immediately and only question whether I can withstand another rollercoaster ride. I want to find out!

I just love a good British Novel! Calamity Under the Chandelier is a Sleuthing Starlet Mystery novel written by Camilla Blythe. This story takes place in England with two American actresses who come in and turn everything upside down! Cora is an actress who just lost her job. Veronica is her best friend, who is also an actress and who just so happened to elope with the son of a Duke. The Duke’s family is not happy this marriage took place. During this whole ordeal, a murder takes place and Veronica is pinned for it. So, Cora is on a murder mystery mission to find out who the real killer is because she is certain that her friend could not have done this. There are so many twists and turns that you have no idea who the murder truly is! This author does a really good job at sucking you in and by then you don’t want to put the book down! The characters are wonderful and interact really well together. This book makes you want to help Cora solve the murder along with her! This story was really great and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The Princess and the Pit Bulls is the fourth book in the Fairy Tale Seriesby Jody Lynn Daniels. It is a sweet contemporary romance, about finding love where you least expect it, with wonderful characters, secrets, intriguing developments, and just enough drama to keep things interesting. This is a modern take on the popular fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea”, and is a wonderful addition to the rest of this series. I love Chloe and Sebastian- and the addition of Bonnie and Clyde added an extra layer of charm to the story. Ms> Daniels has a wonderfully descriptive style, and an attention to detail that really brings her stories to life. She also manages to infuse quite a lot of emotion into her story, drawing me further and further into her tale and allowing me to truly connect with the characters and what they are experiencing. Definitely my favourite of the series, so far!

What a great story! I love books with dogs as a part of the story and who wouldn’t love Bonnie and Clyde? Chloe and Sebastian had a really fast connection and whirlwind romance but it wouldn’t be what it was without a jealous ex or 2. My only complaint, why don’t these characters ever talk and hear each other out? Like, just call them and say “hey I saw or got or heard this and want to hear from you before I assume the worst?” But that’s just me. Chloe is a strong woman and we see her strength here but also her weakness and that’s a big heart. Sebastian is starting over and who doesn’t love a man who loves animals as much as he does? His past is coming back to haunt him and torment Chloe. I loved Hildy! She made me giggle and scared at the same time. And his mother, hilarious. Great read!

The Princess and The Pit Bulls (Fairy Tale Series book 4) by Jody Lynn Daniels was a good 4 star read.
This is a fairly quick read with a fun fairy tale theme to it. This is Sebastian and Chloe’s story. Chloe is a designer from New York, she meets Sebastian when she is at her sister’s wedding. Chloe has made some choices that have not worked out well for her and you feel for her and her situation.
Sebastian was great and I liked him instantly and his dogs. He and Chloe were perfect for each other. Chloe got along great with his dogs, when they normally don’t warm up to people, there was something special about her.
However, what will happen when someone tries to cause issues for them? Will the person succeed or will they get a HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. The story line was good and I was pulled right in. All the characters were great and I loved Bonnie and Clyde. I look forward to reading more from this author. If you’re looking for a great read I suggest this book. 1-click and get started today.

The Slaughter of Leith Hall Paperback by Lexie Conyngham is a historical, crime fiction novel. I always enjoy a good crime novel or a good historical fiction, and this book didn’t disappoint. There are twists and turns and trying to figure out who to trust. Also, this set in time when Culloden is not a distant memory and the Jacobites are feeling the pain of their losses. The characters are very interesting and I enjoyed Charlie and the changes taking place in his life. Are the changes for the best or do they benefit others more? The author sets up a delightful mystery and in such a beautiful location, Scotland. The story swept me away and left me wanting more. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I found myself inside the story with the characters. The mystery and historical story is one of twists and turns. I loved the detailed writing of Lexie Conyngham She kept my interest and I was turning the pages fast because I wanted to see if I was on the right side of the story. The characters are complex and well written. I followed along with Charlie. He has set out on a journey as he is in the middle of a murder-mystery. All he wants is justice. He is determined to solve this mystery and get home. I highly recommend this story. You will want to see if Charlie solves the mystery or get lost in the process.

Confidentiality is the second book in Jessica Aiken-Hall’s Scope of Practice series. You absolutely have to start with the first book Boundaries as otherwise you will have no idea what is going on, who is who and why things are happening as they are! It is a brilliant continuation of a mystery that will continue into the third story. Valerie Williamson’s past is out in the open and everything seems perfect – her personal life is blossoming and she is getting closer to Tim who offers her more than anyone has ever offered her and she accepts it! She is forging a deeper connection with the members of the support group she leads and this connection becomes a compulsion to protect them. There are a lot of moving parts in the story that Jessica has woven and they all play their important part so do not lose sight of them! The writer is touching upon some very sensitive subjects and I commend her for that! I love the care she is taking when doing so and she goes deep … so deep it is painful … Add to the mix a string of murders that Valerie knows are connected so she puts her life into danger when she decides she needs to figure it out as she is sure they are linked to someone she cares for! The end will blow your mind and I cannot wait for the third story in the series that gives us insight into why …

The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella by C.L. Schneider is the first book in The Crown of Stones Novella Series. This book is a side story of The Crown of Stones series but can be read and enjoyed easily without having read the series. This story is like others by Schneider filled with great characters and world building. It is easily to fall into the world the author has laid out for the reader. I really enjoyed the characters and the adventure of The Wandering Isles. The Isles are so interesting and puzzling at the same time. It is otherworldly and kept me reading to find out would happen. I look forward to reading more from this series soon.

I don’t normally read this genre, but have made an exception for this series. C.L Schneider has such a way with words, that I find myself sucked into the book. The Wandering Isles is the first novella, following the Crown of Stones series. Normally novellas are small tidbits of information the author adds on, but this feels like it could be a full story. The imagery is wonderful, and the connection between Ian Troy and Jarryd Kane is one I’ve never seen before. While I will admit, I was lost and confused the first half of the book, the characters were too. So I don’t take it too personally, haha. I love being able to see things unfold from their point of view, and feel what they are feeling. I am glad to know the author plans to put more novellas.

This a historical cozy mystery set in the time before WWII where Hollywood starlets were glamorous as ever. Our main character, Cora, is quite timid in the beginning of the book, but really finds herself and her inner strength as the story goes on and she is a good main character. The secondary characters are varied and interesting each in their own way.
This book is set up in your typical Agatha Christie-type fashion where we meet each of the characters and they are described in detail to us. Then the author throws in the death and has us figure out who the murderer is. Of course, they each had a motive and they aren’t what they appear. I really enjoy these types of books so this was fun to me. I did not guess the outcome and was pleasantly surprised when I got to the end. I am excited to see what book two in the series has in store.

The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella by C.L. Schneider is the first book in the Crown of Stones Novella series. This is a spin off series to the Crown of Stones Trilogy and, while it can be read as a standalone, I think it is best to read them in order as they are all so good! This book is such a fantastic book. It was great to be able to fall back into a world that felt so familiar and yet be introduced to a new story at the same time. I thought the characters worked so well together too. The balance between them just added so much to the story. This whole book was so well written. The Frontman by Lawrence Parlier a rhythmic four-star read. This is my first read by this author and it wont be my last, there was something about the mystery that just kept you hooked, I don’t know what to say as I don’t want to spill anything about this. There are great characters in this story, strong people who keep the story going and even though the story is about Rockstar Kerry Vance but he isn’t the only one we hear about and I think that was what made this story complete. Do pick this up if you are in the mood for a good mystery with great pacing and sublime characters.

This is a lovely romance story that has you pulled in from the beginning. The characters are so likeable its hard not to feel every emotion they go through.
Chloe is a designer who has her whole life and career in front of her. Or so she thought. That is until she gets involved with the wrong man and the life she started to build for herself falls apart.
Then we have Sebastian who comes to town as the local vet. He is lonely and even though he catches the eye of every woman in town the only one he wants is Chloe.
The connection between them is instant. They work so well together but they both have secrets in their past. And when that past comes to visit will they be able to get through it or will it tear them apart
It was a great read filled with every emotion imaginable.

When I say I had a hard time putting this read down I genuinely mean it, I didn’t want it end, It was as though Raif lured me into not putting this read down, but boy am I glad he did!
This read was everything and more! I was utterly compelled reading this, not only was it a paranormal read but a steamy one at that. It’s an action-packed, fast-paced read that leaves you wanting more, with its twists and turns that has you wondering what will happen next, its mentally visual descriptions that connects you to the story and characters even more.
Raif & Sara’s story in this read is dark, sensual, passionate and they have incredible chemistry, I absolutely loved these two together and loved following their journey. Will they both get what they want/desire by the end, you will have to read to find out!
You will be utterly disappointed if you miss this read, I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to see where the rest of this series goes!

The Wandering Isles is a new Novella Series that leads on from the Crown of Stones Series.
It’s been a while since I read a book from this series, but after reading this book and being taken into this world again, I forgot how thrilling this world is. This is a mentally visual read that along with the author’s descriptions and compelling writing you can help but imagine this all out in your head as you read it. This book not only takes you through the emotions, but also through the ups and downs, and twists and turns, being the magical, dark, adventurous fantasy read that it is I couldn’t help but be captivated by the storyline and the characters once again!
This is a fast-paced, action-packed read that shouldn’t be missed! I highly recommend this read

This book starts with us finding out that Kerry Vance has died in his hotel room of an overdose while on tour in England, this news is a shock to the system of his family, his best friend, a mystery from his past and those who know him through his music.
We start the book off a member of his family spilling orange juice all over the floor in shock and having to reign themselves in from emotionally collapsing until their daughter leaves for school. Next we see his best friend amidst a horrendous hangover trying to take in the news, they are rudely awoken from a stupor by their other best friend, who seems determined to finish off what the alcohol, anger, devastation and drugs had started the night before. From their point of view, what the news has reported about Kerry’s death isn’t all adding up and that it was not in Kerry’s’ character to go the way he did but is determined to somehow get to the truth of the matter.
Finally we meet a long time friend of Kerry who is also hit hard by the news of his death and is desperately trying to come to terms with the news when a mysterious package from Kerry himself arrives. As they remember their time with him, they are confused as to why they have received this package and eventually pluck up the courage to open the box and read the letter addressed to them. The contents of this are a shock to the system as is the realisation why Kerry has sent it and the strange request within it.
The story continues as this request is followed to the letter, but what with trying to both stay out of trouble and cause it all at the same time, whether it can be done is another thing completely.
There are plot twists and turns in this story and nothing is as it seems throughout. It is a non-stop whirlwind that keeps your emotions on edge and a need to know how it will end, will keep you reading.
