Blackbird’s Deliverance (Book Four)
by Lisette Kristensen

Blackbird’s Deliverance was a great 5 star read and book four in the Silent Secrets Series. This was a thrilling read that pulled me right from the beginning.

When Blackbird’s mom goes missing she finds herself returning to Italy. We get lots of action during this mission. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. It was time to turn Blackbird loose

Will Blackbird be able to save her mom before it’s too late?

I really enjoy LIsette’s writing, she pulls you right in and you feel like your right there with the characters. Blackbird is a very strong character. I highly suggest reading the books in order so that you can connect better with the story. All of the secondary characters added a great element to this story. I have to say this is my favorite in the series so far. I can’t wait to read more.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For the most part I have really enjoyed this series. It has been a thrill ride from the first word and this book is no exception. The detail pulls you in without getting too wordy and the twists punch you in the gut and keep you glued to each page. You have to read these from the beginning or you are going to miss so much.
The only problem I have with this particular book is the circumstances under which Francesca was kidnapped. A Mafia boss’s wife with a predictable pattern to her daily routine? Please. Even with her being under protection and having a new identity, she’d know better than anyone how dangerous routines are. I loved the rest of the book but I just kept thinking about how stupid that move had been.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

THE DEBT COLLECTOR is not about a call center collecting overdue bills. Oh my gosh this one handed read was hot hot hot.

It has a bit of action and suspense and a whole lot of open door MMF, MFM, MM scenes. There is also a moral to the story…”One should always have adhesive yellow duckies in the shower to prevent slippage.”

There is also a story line that has substance and weight along with all the schmexy times. It is a very quick read and I look forward more of these characters in future books in this series.

Bound is the second book in the Torzial Affair series by Via Mari. This is the continuation of Jenny and Brian’s story. This series should be read in order and I would also suggest reading the Prestian series before you read this series. They are all excellent books and they will give you the backstory to fully understand this series. This story is full of action and suspense. It had me hooked from the very first page. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this story if you love Billionaire love stories.

Proper Ink (Jaded Lily #2)Proper Ink by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Proper Ink is the second book in the Jaded Lily Series from Zeia Jameson. I struggled with book one, mostly because I couldn’t connect at all with the MC’s so I was truly looking forward to getting more with a new focus being the center of the novel. I am so stinking happy that I decided to stick to it and read this book. I personally adored Luca. He has to be on my top ten list of book-boyfriends that I have read this year. I am absolutely in love with this book. I will say that it struggled a tad for me with some of the finishing/flow, and it could have stepped up the steam factor with the couple. It was there as far as potential, it just fell a tad short. This book does follow up or basically take place right after the first book, but I do think you could read these out of order or just choose this one if you so desired. I personally love having the whole series read. Overall this was a solid four-star read with a swoony lead to boot. I will be back for more with book three as soon as it is available!!

Blood Relations (The Sorrel Janes Mysteries) by Lonna Enox – Review by Liz Vrchota

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So the background setting for this book was a struggle for me, but having read the first book of the Sorrel Janes Mysteries I knew that I wanted to see what would come next in her storyline. I am glad that I did. Don’t be discouraged by the blandness of the trip Sorrel is embarking on because Lonna Enox has a whole bunch of twists and turns that will be sure to leave you breathless by the time you are done! This time Sorrel and her detective hottie boyfriend, Chris Reed embark on a murder investigations that if full of ups and downs, mystery, intrigue, and plenty of drama to boot. I was never at a lull while reading and I adored the way everything came to a culmination. I for sure will be back to find out what else will come of Sorrel Janes! I am sure it will be an adventure I adore!

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) by Necie Navone – Review by Maura Harper

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2)My One Love by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is referred to as a stand alone and I have previously read the prequels to the series. When I first started reading the story, I was a little lost and wondered if I should go back and re-read. I carried on and was able to “catch up” and I think it would be a better reading experience if you read this series in order.

The author does a great job of world building and character development. There are a lot of secondary characters (it IS Camelot after all) and while each plays a role, they do not overwhelm the story of the MCs. Lexy/Aless is a “Warrior Princess preparing for battle” while Grayson is a man on a mission to do what needs to be done to make is life complete. This is a nice balance of action/suspense and romance.

This was a very enjoyable story and I look forward to more in the series (and will go back and re~read the first two stories.

Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Rule BreakerRule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander is one heck of a steamy book that was so easy to get lost in. I have read many books by this author and this easily became a favorite. Athena worked hard and always played by the rules. She wants to make her magazine make it and created an amazing team to help make it happen. Warren, her husband is retired now and wants to go on vacation and play. In order to succeed in her magazine and Warren’s fantasy, she sets her eyes on Ramsay. Athena always promised herself she would never mix work with pleasure, but will she break the rules? You must read to find out!
What I really loved about this book was the story was real life, believable, with an amazing fantasy thrown in. I love the strong characters that the author created and the HOT STORY line! I give this book five stars and recommend for people over 18.

Blackbird's Deliverance (Book Four)Blackbird’s Deliverance by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

BlackBird’s Deliverance is the exciting fourth installment of the Silent Secrets Series from Lisette Kristensen. She has one heck of a knack for writing some adventurous and detailed action scenes that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. I would recommend that you read the rest of the books in the series and in order before you jump into this one. Blackbird’s history and the side characters are all reoccurring for the most part. That and they are all wonderful and quick reads, so why not?

Each book is more on par with a novella type length but reads as a full fledged story with plenty to keep you engaged. I love all the side adventures that Blackbird seems to master beautifully. I won’t divulge much about this book, more so than the blurb already given, because I can’t bare to spoil the fun. Especially with them being shorter novels, I feel everything is key to the plot, and ensuing twists. I can’t wait to see what will come next from the talented Ms. Kristensen.

Who wouldn’t swoon after Warren?!? He’s retired and does the housework but looking to spice things up. Jobs are on the line but ideas are given…..and they might spark things in the magazine….and her real life…..

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2)My One Love by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Necie Navone has done it again. My One Love is the second book in the Brothers of Camelot series. She does an amazing job of creating realistic characters that you want in your life. From the first page to the last page, I was in the author’s hands. The ride was wild with twists and turns that keeps your blood pumping through your veins until the last page and beyond. The story was simple, two strong personalities fall for one another. They are looking for one another but will they come together or will their personalities keep them apart? Will their past keep them from a future together?

The Dreamer's VengeanceThe Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book is a departure from my normal genre but I have to admit, I did enjoy it. Tyree is skilled at making her readers form a bond with her well developed characters. You think you’ve got the plot and ending figured out only to have twist after twist. The writing seemed a bit heavy at times. I wish the story had been divided into multiple books to allow for a bit more development between parts. Fun plot with an exciting, cathartic conclusion. Nice job. 3 stars.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this book and these characters. In order to fully appreciate Lexy’s character, you really should read the My Life prequel trilogy. It is excellent and does a wonderful job fully developing her backstory. That said, this story does stand well on its own but is that much richer when read in the context of the whole Camelot universe. Although I found the dialogue a bit extensive at times, I never lacked in the ability to discern exactly when every character was thinking and feeling. Truly, Navone does a beautiful job developing the plot and moving the characters through several twists and turns, and navigates the universe flawlessly. This is a beautiful love story at the heart with some drama and suspense thrown in for good measure. You will be left breathless on all counts in the best possible way!

Although I knew what kind of thing to expect from her the author did a great job of creating a brilliant and exciting story. Because I didn’t have any preconceptions about the storyline I really felt like I was swept along with the characters.
I really enjoyed the story and how it was written. It was believable and yet a complete fantasy at the same time. This book is a definite must read.

Two Hearts Under Fire (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) By Tamara Ferguson – Review by Angela Hayes

TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8)TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two Hearts Under Fire is the eighth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. This story is a wonderful military/wounded warrior romance, with danger, emotion, mystery, suspense, action, adventure, love, a little drama, and hope. As always, Ms. Ferguson drew me in from the very beginning of the story and held my attention the whole way through. I have read most of her books now, and have loved every single one. I especially love how her stories all help to build a much bigger picture- with many interconnected details, characters, or situations- as each one adds another layer, or unravels a little bit more of the much bigger picture that’s being woven in the background. The stories are always intriguing, and each book only reinforces the fact that Ms. Ferguson is a consummate storyteller- and one I won’t tire of any time soon….A.K.A ever!
Ms. Ferguson crafts wonderful characters- giving them strengths, but also not shying away from giving them some vulnerability too. Claire and Russ’ are great characters who have a very interesting story to tell- and this is where I confess that I really wasn’t sure what to think of Russ after meeting him back in Book #6. I worried that I wouldn’t connect with him when I realised that this was ‘his’ book. But I needn’t have worried because he won me over and I became completely invested in the story.
This story is intriguing, well written, realistic, believable, emotive and entirely engaging. I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!

Thank you, Ms. Ferguson!

Two Hearts Under Fire (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) By Tamara Ferguson

5 +++++ Stars

Writing reviews for this author has become seriously impossible because I’m running out of things to say that I haven’t already said in all my previous reviews of her books, but I’m going to give this a shot.

I truly did love this story and its been awhile since I’ve been immersed in this series so I’m only going on how I feel right this second and what I feel right this second is I think this might be my favorite of all of them. This one took me on a journey aside from the storyline..a journey first off that I could picture while looking out the windows of the RV and secondly this story again brought my own hometown of Hayward to life for me, a place I grew up, went to school and met my husband so for that alone I give many many thanks to this author..I’ve said before that reading anything by this author is like coming home and this one hit that thought completely out of the ballpark!! Who knew my little town of 1700ish people could someday be in some of my favorite books!

So anyway…about the storyline of this book LOL I loved it and the little twists at the end made it perfection for me. I know when I open a book by this author to be ready to finish it, it never fails. You could read this as a standalone but I promise you, you absolutely want all of these books, I can not wait to read them all again back to back.

Blood Relations (The Sorrel Janes Mysteries) by Lonna Enox – Review by Karyn Taylor

Blood RelationsBlood Relations by Lonna Enox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blood Relations is the 2nd book in the Sorrel Janes Mysteries series by Lonna Enox. The first book in the series The Last Dance was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it, so was looking forward to reading this. I have to say that I enjoyed this book even more than this first one.
This book had me gripped straight away and kept me gripped throughout. Lonna Enox sure knows how to keep the reader gripped and, at times, on the edge of their seat. There is so much mystery and intrigue in this story.
In this story Sorrel once again teams up with Chris Reed to investigate the disappearance of her good friend John, who failed to turn up to meet her at a photography meet. Added to that, when Sorrel was taking a photograph at the meet she saw a dead body in the distance. This was only the start of all the twists and turns that this book takes.
I really love the characters Sorrel and Chris. Sorrel is an independent woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. Chris just loves teasing her as much as possible, he’s incorrigible. We also discover in this book that there is so much more to Chris’ character.
I have really enjoyed the first two books in this series and I really hope that Lonna Enox writes many more.

The story Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing romance book. It pulls you in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the last page. It is a story that is romantic and steamy. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Athena and Warren. Athena works hard in the magazine industry and now has to deal with her magazine being on the chopping block. Athena is a strong, beautiful, and determined woman. Her husband Warren has just retired. He is one that has a vivid imagination and thinks up new ideas. Athena finds herself pulled in different directions. One of them involves the marketing director, Ramsey Pearce. What does the future hold for Athena? Read this book to find out. This story is very steamy and will make the temperature in the room rise. There is flirting and teasing as well. There are times when I had a smile on my face and other times that I felt upset with what happens to some of the characters. I grew to care about many of the characters with each chapter that I read. You will want them to be happy and succeed in all that they do. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has unforgettable characters. I highly recommend reading it.

I don’t even bother reading the blurbs for the books by this author now because I think she is so wonderful and talented I know I am going to enjoy whatever it is she has written. Rule Breaker was, as expected, a fantastic 5 star read! I loved going in blind as I didn’t have a clue what was going to happen. I loved Athena and Warren; they were such a wonderful couple to read about. She was feisty, independent and he was just adorable and loved Athena so much! I should know by now to expect the unexpected with regards to storyline and characters with Ms Alexander! I loved the way she took the story and how the characters evolved from beginning to end. There were certainly some very hot and steamy encounters along the way between the characters involved! Along with that were some great twists and turns! Whilst I might not always agree with some of the lifestyles this author chooses to write about I can never, ever fault her amazing story telling ability and her talent in drawing you into the lives of her characters thus enabling you to see things from a variety of perspectives!
Another fantastic 5 star read that I cannot recommend highly enough!

I have really been looking forward to reading this third book in the Moore Family Saga and it absolutely did not disappoint at all. I said at the end of the second book that I was looking forward to finding out more about Miles and I got exactly what I wanted and much more! Such and intriguing and talented character I was completely captivated by his story. Some of the scenes between him and Bella were so wonderful to read, passionate yet emotional at the same time. They kind of evolved together as the story went on and I felt that they had such a deep and meaningful connection – one that I really could feel. I have to say I think that it’s possible this is my favourite book out of the series, which is saying something because of how much I loved the first two!!
The authors writing I felt in this story was just amazing, she tied everything together beautifully, bringing older characters back into the story and also introducing new ones. It was an absolute pleasure to read this story from beginning to end! A truly fabulous story (and series) and one that I 100% recommend!

If you have not read the other books in this series stop right now and go get them and read them. Your heart will thank you!

Each book that Ferguson writes is a little sweet, a little sexy, a little dangerous and a whole lot of love.
Claire is hiding from trouble in the form of her ex-husband. Russ is trying to prove his innocence and avoiding the government spy hired to get rid of him. Together they create their own happiness.

Personally, I love these stories. Ferguson’s stories are easy to read for me, although for others with their own personal war stories, there may be triggers. Two Hearts Under Fire is a quick action packed story filled with all things Ferguson!

Can not wait to see who is next for Dragonfly Pointe!

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan was magnificently creative and romantic. I loved Meda and Perseus. Both characters were developed well and easy to fall in love with. I also felt that the author did an excellent job on the supporting characters as well. There was enough description and backstory for several of them that seemed to help the storyline. Speaking of the storyline, I felt that it was easy to follow and had an amazing climax. Not once was I bored with it and honestly I had a hard time putting this book down. I also greatly appreciated the various artistic settings the author described in her novel. They were definitely creative and fun. I truly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.
