The first chapter had me hooked and wanting to keep reading more. As I continued reading I did not want to put the book down. All throughout the book it kept my interest and never got boring. The book was incredible to say the least. I would suggest this book to anyone. It was detailed and entertaining. Eight steps by Taylor Sullivan is a book that I would read over and over again.

The Vortex by Kimberly Packard is a book to read. You have to keep reading to completely understand it. It is a thrilling book worth reading all the way through. I would love to read more from Kimberly Packard. It was very interesting to read and i loved every minute of it.
Blade’s Edge: Satan’s Devils MC #10 By Manda Mellett. Once again this author knows just how to draw me in and make me never want to leave the book world she created. Each story could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading in order to get a real feel for all the characters and how they all interact. This series has definitely become one of my favorite MC series’s all the characters just grab hold of my heart and won’t let go and Blade and Tash are no different. Each having their own story to tell readers. There’s definitely moments that had me on the edge of my seat trying to read faster to see what was about to happen. Another amazing story I’m giving five stars to and highly recommend.

Wow what a great start to a new series! I loved it. I was pulled in from page one and the author was able to keep my attention throughout the whole book because I couldn’t put it down. This story is about Fiona, the future queen. I loved her. I thought she was beautiful and strong. She is to choose her King to rule by her side but the man she really wants is not a man she should not be with…. because he is forbidden…..Ahh the chemistry! I just love it. I really enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend to a friend! Happy Reading!

Seraphina’s Initiation (The Seraphina Series Book 2) by Sheena Hutchinson was a fast pace, action packed follow up, that had me hooked.
This is the second book in the Seraphina Series, and I will tell you, this book is everything I wanted the first book to be. Unpredictable, constantly moving plot, well developed and still growing characters, Twist, turnes, and pure action, made this book not only better the the first, but it beat it out of the water. I’m glad I stuck with this series.
I have to say I enjoyed Seraphina’s character much more in this book then the first. Now she wasn’t fully there, with me falling in love, but she showed that she was a mature adult.. at times. There’s still some childlikeness about her, that for me, is annoying, and she’s still just a little too naive for my liking. But she is growing as a character, and as the story moved on, I grew more and more attached.
Overall this book, is worth your time. It is part of a continuation series, so I highly suggest reading the first book first, even if it isn’t as strong as this one. It is a set up book, so there’s a lot of info in it, that’s needed to understand this complex growing series plot.
So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get devoured by this truly unique book/series.

Eight Steps by Taylor Sullivan is Book 1 in the Nerdy by Nature Series, and a friends to lovers romance. These are some of my favorite stories, the friends to lovers never grow old to me, because you get to watch the relationship blossom. These characters were like friends you were sad to leave, when the book was over. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed the character development and the story line. I would definitely read more books by this author, and I give this book a solid 4 stars.

His First Lady, by Avery Scott, is a billionaire romance with a military undertone. On tap are one speechwriter and a presidential candidate; Kendall and Michael seem like oil and vinegar, but there is something deeper that works for these characters with more in common than anticipated. However, as the story unfolds, the author leads the reader on a journey – along with the characters. The interactions between the main and supporting characters was entertaining, and a times a little light. However, I felt the author did a remarkable job creating a story that was enticing with realistic characters and situations as the story continues on. I liked the characters in their portrayal and the pace of the story. Read this story to discover what situations the Kendall and Michael find along the way and whether or not it strengths them or ultimately leaves them on separate paths.

Lost in Love by Charlotte Roth is the second book in The Miss Apple Pants series. The story picks up a several years after the first book. The story is wonderful with witty dialogue between the characters. Ella is still finding herself and embarks on adventures with her friends and family. I enjoy the book because there is a lot of different parts that people can relate to in their own lives. Ella is cute and fun. I like the dialogue and the growth of the characters from the first book. I think this could be read as a standalone but better enjoyed if the first book is read before this one. I look forward to reading more from Charlotte Roth in the future and hope to see more of Miss Apple Pants in the future.

The Light At Dawn by K.L. Montgomery was a wonderful book that I absolutely enjoyed. Guns are a hot topic in today’s society and the author wrote the book in such a way that it wasn’t one side or the other. The characters were great and I loved reading about them. The love story was great too. There is some sad stuff that happens. I don’t want to spoil but prepare yourself if you are sensitive to death. Overall it was a great book I can’t recommend it enough. 5 star rating.

REBEL HEART is book two of “The Immortal Kindred Spirits” Series. I read and loved the first in this series and was looking forward to this story.
There is absolutely no set-up in this story, it jumps right in and I was a little disoriented because it was not what I remembered from the first book in the series. I was confused about about the time frame and location and about what war was being fought. I had to sit back for a bit before I could settle into the story.
It is an enjoyable read that moved at a good pace. There are characters who I immediately appreciated and others who I could do without. Friendships are strong and love is stronger. There is a cadence to the author’s writing style that I enjoy. This story is told in a dual point of view which brought a great “view” to the story.
I look forward to reading book 3 in the series. Note to self; read 1 & 2 again before beginning book 3.

Christmas was always a great holiday he spent with his mom. He spends the holiday making new memories especially for another family who has not seen each other or heard from each other in many years. What She Lost and Found is M.L. Garcia’s debut novel and what a debut it is! It is a combination of romance, mystery, suspense, heartbreaking tragedy … and healing … We meet Daniela who lost her innocence in an extremely horrible way and it all got compounded by even more horrible event just two days later. These events have changed her life for ever … We also meet Nathan who needs to find his way into Daniela’s heart … this journey is long and painful and when you join them on that journey you need to be prepared for heartbreak and despair, you will also experience hope and love … You can feel that this is the beginning of a great career and I am convinced that the next book will feel ‘smoother’, it is hard to explain – it was a great story with characters that you fall in love with and I admire the way she handled a very sensitive issue but it felt a bit clunky at times that I know she will smooth out the more she writes! I am walking away from this book with something that M.L. Garcia wrote, it has been ‘singing’ to me at the back of my head and asking me to remember it for the moment when I feel down: “If you’ve been through hell and found the courage to survive, be happy you had the strength to make it through. If you figured out what makes your happiness thrive, be grateful you had the wisdom to figure it out. And for the moments that bring pure joy into your life, cherish each one.”

This is one of those books that is my hidden pleasure. The politic books. I love them! not many people write them but they are the ones that are my one click!
This was written off a Presidential campaign but it wasn’t super angsty. It was sweet and easy to read and I read it in one sitting.
Michael is on the Presidential campaign race. He has been divorced twice and he persona is more of the ladies man than anything and that’s something that doesn’t work in his favor. His campaign manager needs to find someone to stand in for the First lady so that he can appeal to the public. Enter Kendall. She is a speech writer for his campaign. Their chemistry is off the charts but can they keep the public happy? Can they prove that this is real?
This was such an amazing written book. It’s light hearted and hooked me from the beginning. These kind of books are a guilty indulgence of mine and this was perfect!

Another well written story by Jane Suen. Coming Home is the sequel to Flowers in December. Connor has returned to his childhood home after the death of his mother. He rekindles some relationships with those from his past. And hopes to rekindle a relationship with Mary Ann.
As is usual with Jane Suen’s stories is the underlying “moral of the story”. After reading this story I am left wondering which relationships I should go and “fix”.
I suggest reading Flowers in December, so you get a better feel for Connor and the situations that made him the way he is.

Another brilliant read from Brooke May. Being my second read from this author I knew what to expect, but what I didn’t expect was for this read to be as good as it was. Back in the Ring is part of The Predator Series and can be read as a standalone.
This was an incredible book of moving on, and having a second chance at love, all the while trying to carry on living a painful day to day life whether that’s from laying low or trying to carry on a legacy of a loved one and to be struggling even more so. The emotions that are in this read are real, raw and relatable to many people, and while reading I could feel the characters, Noah & Bijou’s emotions roll off the page. While you are rooting for the characters throughout, you do wonder whether their individual pain and heartbreak is too strong for them to move on and get a HEA with each other. None of the less with all the emotions in this read, with one minute having tears in my eyes and the next smiling, it’s a brilliant romance read that I couldn’t put down, I was captivated from start to finish.
After this read, I can’t wait to see what happened in the other books in this series! I will definitely be going back and reading the others and whatever else this author brings – Brooke May has definitely become one of my go-to authors after this one! This book should not be missed!

The Case of Missing Books by Nikki Broadwell is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud Paranormal Mystery Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone book and, although it would have clearly been nice to have read the others, I didn’t feel like I was missing out too much for not having done so. This bool really grabbed my attention early. All the way through it was full of twists and turns that kept you, as the reader, fully engaged. The main character was really interesting to read about. I really like how she came across throughout the book, which is definitely a testament to the author’s work. This was a great book to read and I will definitely be looking into the rest of the series.

Surviving Valencia by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a story that made me think, had me wondering, and took me in a direction that I wasn’t expecting. At first the story seemed a little slow and confusing. But as it progressed and the story unfolded, what I discovered was a cleverly crafted story that twisted and turned and then twisted some more. The way it’s told from both past and present perspectives really helped to build a ‘picture’ of how the past events have influenced the character/s and got her/them to where they are today. There is a lot of gloominess, and depressing details that ‘coloured’ the storyline- but as I look back, I see what the author was trying to achieve and how well that all played into the whole mood and tone of the story. I had trouble connecting to the character/s, but I did ‘feel’ for her/them- and overall this didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of it all. I would like to have know her name though- that was a little frustrating. But again, by the end, it kind of made sense why we were not given/told her name. This isn’t a ‘fluffy’ story, it is a ‘warts-and-all’ account of a younger sister coming to terms with the loss of her older, ‘perfect’ siblings- and the shadow that they left her living under. The story is definitely not what it seems and will get you guessing and give you quite a few head scratching moments. The story has drama, mystery, tension, secrets, life changing events, devastation, acceptance, twists, shocks, and more. I have read quite a few of Ms. Tierney-Bedord’s books now and she always manages to craft something quite original. She has her own unique style and always delivers a well written and intriguing read. The story is a standalone, and a great addition to the other books in her body of work.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is one of those books that are real, a work of fiction that uses today’s headlines and delves into what is happening in our world today. This is the story of Angelia White, a wife and mother, a woman who must navigate through a situation that no parent should ever have to experience. It is also the story of Mark Lyon and his journey through the darkest of days. These two tragic characters learn that no matter what your opinion may be, there is always someone going through the same or similar situation believing differently. Nobody is wrong and nobody is right you just need to learn to see things through another’s eyes and maybe compromise along the way. I won’t lie and say this was an easy book to read. There were many instances where I had to stop and breathe. Ms. Montgomery paints a very poignant picture at times and makes the reader think “How would I react? What are my views? What is right? What is wrong?” No matter how or when you lose someone there are always questions not to mention those feelings of things never getting better. This author did a terrific job of showing that no matter how bad things are there is always a reason behind them. Read this and cheer for Angelia and Mark to get their light at dawn.

The Slip Series by Gwyn McNamee is a brilliant series of laugh out loud romances. Each one is a brilliant story with interesting characters and each one has the ability to have you crying with laughter. This whole series is fun and easy to read and is the perfect series if you want to shut yourself away from the world for a day. Each of these books are the type that you read in one sitting because you simply can’t put them down. Even if I wasn’t before after reading this series I can definitely say I am a huge fan of this author. Do yourself a favour and pick them up today.

I enjoyed this book and the point of view the story was written in. This is a creative story that is engaging and fast paced. Michael is the candidate for president but to help boost his ratings, they find him a girlfriend, Kendall. But when they are put into a position, they find themselves engaged. Is this just a job or will there be a happy ending for these two? I enjoyed their chemistry and how they are true to life, connectable. They make this story for me. I highly recommend this book.

Little Do You Know is the fifth book in the Bayou Devils MC Series by A.M. Myers. The Bayou Devils books are one of my favourite MC series ever. I have loved the previous four, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. To say I had high expectations would be an understatement, in fact I was concerned that my expectations were too high and there was no way Ms. Myers would be able to live up to them. But I needn’t have worried, as she delivered everything I could have hoped for, and then some! This is Noah (Henn) and Kady’s story. It wasn’t at all like any of the scenarios that had been running through my mind. Ms. Myers took the story in a completely different direction to what I’d thought, and even though some of it was heartbreaking and emotional, I devoured it! I really don’t want to spoil any of it for you by going into detail- which is hard for me to do, because the ‘fangirl’ in me just wants to ‘discuss’. As with the other books, I loved catching up with all the characters that we’ve met and come to love from the other books- the MC bonds of brotherhood and camaraderie is just wonderful to see. I love each and every member and how they are such a big part of the overall story. A great group of people. Makes me want to be part of it all. There were funny quips and banter that had me laughing out loud, then there were heart-shattering events and revelations that brought me to tears- the, I’m sobbing so hard I can’t see what I’m reading kind of crying…. and I couldn’t put it down, I HAD TO KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN! There were times the story gave me heart palpitations and anxiety from the intensity of what the characters were going through, or from the revelations that were made- which I think being able to evoke such a reaction in a reader, is a sure sign of a gifted author. Can’t wait to get my hands on “Never Let Me Go” (releasing in May 2019). Bring on Book #6!!

His First Lady by Avery Scott is a very sweet and easy to read story that takes place during a presidential campaign. It was such an interesting premise, and the blurb really did intrigue me- then add the sexy cover and I was sold. I did enjoy the story, but it didn’t grab me quite as hard as I was hoping for. The story is good, it is well written, but it was a little predictable and just lacked the intensity and added drama, or some suspense- which would have elevated it to the next level for me. Michael Reese is a senior congressman from Kentucky and Presidential candidate on the campaign trail. He is twice divorced, with a bit of a reputation as a lady’s man. His campaign manager is worried that the people’s perception of his love life could affect his chances come the election. So, it is decided that he will need to find a ‘First Lady’ to stand beside him through the campaign. Someone who will help him seem more appealing to the voters. It can’t be just anyone, and most importantly it will need to be someone he can trust. That’s where his new speech writer, Kendall Bailey comes into the picture. She’s perfect for the ‘job’, and so Michael makes a deal with her that will help them both. But can they maintain a professional arrangement when their chemistry gets in the way? And with the world watching, the pressure is on. Things may not quite go according to plan? So, what happens you may ask? Well, if you like a sweet story, with just a little drama, great characters, and a fairly ‘clean’ storyline (i.e. fade-out intimate scenes) – then you should dive in and discover all the lovely details for yourself. I would love to have given this book a higher rating, and debated about what rating to give it- part of me was leaning towards 3 stars because it just didn’t have all the ingredients that I would’ve loved it to have had, and which would’ve made it far more memorable for me, and make it stand out from the crowd. I really wanted to know more about the characters too- such as their ages, as well as more of their backstories. But overall, it was definitely a light and fun read. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Scott does next.

This is the second book in this series, the best yet! This is a young adult story about a boy who is a little confused on who he is and trying to figure that out. He struggles with life problems that normal young adults struggle with at this age. Braedyn is a great character and I enjoyed watching him grow throughout the story. I did feel compassion for him as he feels that he has so much on his plate. I didn’t regret picking up this book and you won’t either. A must read!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and overall I really liked the story and her writing style. I liked that the characters in the story had to grow on me, yes it’s nice where you fall in love with a character straight away or have that instant connection but I do also like it when you have to work hard to get to know a character and I definitely had to do that with Michael. Whilst sometimes the story lacked a little detail then characters and their chemistry was fantastic! I loved the connection they had, although they may have frustrated me at times I still found I was fully invested in their story. I would definitely like to read more by this author in the future and think that His First Lady is a solid 4 star read!

His First Lady is by Avery Scott. I loved this book and read it in one setting. It’s the story of Kendall Bailey, a speech writer for Presidential Candidate Michael Reese. She is beautiful, successful and single which fits right into Michael’s campaign managers plan. He insists Michael needs to be in a relationship to be a successful candidate so he talks Kendall in to a fake relationship. Michael is a playboy because of he has been divorced twice and burned badly. He has decided no one will ever really love him so he just decided he’s not the relationship kind of guy. It’s hard to have one night stands though on a campaign trail. Kendall fits the fake fiance bill perfectly but can she fake this relationship without having real feelings. Will Michael open himself up to love and a relationship again? Once they cross a line can they go back to being fake fiances? Read His First Lady to find out!

The Light Of Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is the first book I have read by this author. The Light at Dawn is a great read but you will need a box of tissue. In this book you will go through a bunch of emotions. The main characters are relatable and you can honestly feel what they are going through. This book also touches on some hard subjects but makes you see both sides, it is not a one sided read. I would recommend this book to everyone. It’s a book you must add to your TBR Pile. I look forward to reading more books by K.L. Montgomery.

The story Yearning Young (Burning Britely Book 2) by Deidre Huesmann is a book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that includes powerful and raw emotions. My emotions were going up and down the entire time. I enjoyed reading it just as much as the first book in the series. The story is told from Braeden’s POV. Braeden is a character that I could empathize and sympathize with. He is at times confused with his feelings, angry, upset, and feels guilt. Braeden is a character that I grew to care about in the first book and this story will have you wanting him to find happiness. He is a young man who has had to grow up fast. He is also protective of those he cares for. He has parents that are not the best role models. This story also has his connection with Jeff Young growing deeper. These two have an attraction to each other. Always believing that he was straight Braeden is not sure what is supposed to come next in his relationship with Jeff. What happens next in their relationship? What does the future hold for Braeden? Read this book to find out. There are intense scenes and dialogue in this story. My heart went out to Braeden and there are times when you just wish you could solve all of his problems. This is a book that once I started, I didn’t want to put down. I got lost in the story. I also enjoyed reading about Jeff. He is a young man who while he was bullied and beaten in the past, is now showing more confidence. There are other characters that you read about. Some of them have been brought forward from the first book and others you are introduced to. Some of them are manipulative and others are friendly to Braeden. This story deals with issues that are heartbreaking. Don’t miss out on the continuing story of Braeden and Jeff. I highly recommend reading it.

Eight Steps by Taylor Sullivan is not a difficult book to predict. You know how it’s going to end (that’s one reason why I picked it) but that doesn’t ruin the joy of the journey. It’s books like this that make me remember why the romance genre is much needed in my world. I love to sit back and escape my life for a little while and this book helped me accomplish that easily. I was swept away by the easy flow of the writing, the story line that made me smile more times than I ever could have imagined and the characters, Elliot and Fe who actually made me cry a little. Being somewhat of a nerd myself, I could relate to these two and I appreciated that. This book is perfect if you want to recharge for a bit, if you want to change genres for a while or are just looking for something to brighten up your day.

The story His First Lady by Avery Scott is a wonderful romance book the I loved reading. It is a story that hooks you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let go until the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Kendall Bailey and Michael Reese. Kendall is a woman who writes speeches for Michael as he campaigns to become President. She is smart, independent, beautiful, and good at her job. She is not one to get tangled up in relationships. She is surprised when she is asked to play the part of a potential First Lady for Michael. Michael is a man that is very handsome, charming, charismatic, and single. His campaign manager believes that the bachelor playboy that Michael is will not go over well. Michael is a man whose life and two divorces have shown him that he would rather be single. Then he gets to know Kendall. These two have a definite physical attraction to each other. They can’t seem to get each other out of their minds. Is there more that is going on between them than just a part that each are playing? Is it possible that they could be falling for each other? Will Michael open up his heart to Kendall? What does the future hold for both Michael and Kendall? Read this book to find out. This story has witty and flirty bantering. It has romantic and steamy scenes. There are parts that will make you swoon. There are also additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about their part in the book. You can’t help but want Michael and Kendall to find happiness. It is a story that I would highly recommend reading.
