New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy by Sylvie Stewart is the second book in the Carolina Kisses series. This is a brilliant and funny book that is sure to leave you a little hot under the collar. This author has done to yet again. This is another amazing book that I was instantly hooked on as soon as I started reading. I loved Milo and Jill – they have to be two of my favourite characters. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and the arguing just made it more so. This was such a fun book to read. And although it had all the usual “serious” scenes in it never felt like it took itself “too” seriously. There were plenty of entertaining, light heated parts to the book. This was well written and a great book to read. As always I will look forward to what is next from this author.

Forgotten Promise by Virginia Wine is the second book in the Forgotten trilogy. This is definitely as good as the first book and certainly kept me reading. Throughout this book the author really knew how to keep you guessing. The whole way through I was rooting for Nathan and Bryer but I also couldn’t shake that niggling feeling that maybe Cash wasn’t going away. It made the book that bit more exciting to read. As with the first I enjoyed the overall story and found the characters to be interesting. I am looking forward to seeing what might be next.

I loved the idea of this book. Two people going at each other like oil and water! I loved their quick witty banter and well actually all interactions. They have an amazing first kiss! What really got me though was that line drive Milo made for her when he backed her against the wall and seared her with his look and lips. Whoa!
There are many cute ideas in here that make it a treasure. The hate-hate relationship. The restaurant….SWiN. I loved the owner and the Bavarian style. I liked that the main character is a diver. That’s different and not highly used. I enjoyed the intricate relationship between Milo and his parents. Well done on weaving that! As well as his friendship with Bran. Lastly but not least are the crossover characters from her other series.
What I didn’t care for were the flashbacks. Some are useful but mostly not. I am NOT a fan of flashbacks at all so I am partially biased here. Sometimes they can be used artfully and smoothly to tell certain aspects or a reason for some problem in the present. Also there seemed to be an large amount thinking in their heads and berating themselves time and again. Too much of that also gets repetitive and old. Just my opinion.
Overall it’s a wonderful story that I enjoyed. I chuckled at their reactions to each other multiple times. Woot woot on the epilogue and the introduction of a certain crossover character the next book(who likes motorcycles and girls) from the Carolina Connections. Looking forward to that!

After being totally hooked on Book 1, I couldn’t wait to dive into Book 2 – Forgotten Promise. This book was if I must say better than book 1 and I was not expecting that considering how brilliant book 1 was. This book was once filled with pure, real, raw emotions, that really drew you into the story and have you captivated from the very beginning.
This author has created another read with another incredible storyline. The characters are very real and have incredible chemistry, you can’t help but want to follow their journey all through the ups and downs, but also the twists and turns that come with this read. I was constantly wondering what decision Bryer would pick, and whether her past would once again overtake her future. I absolutely loved this read, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Virginia Wine is most definitely becoming one of my go-to authors after these reads.

This was the perfect enemy to lovers, second chance romance book. I absolutely loved the chemistry and history between Jill and Milo. Their back and forth antics were fantastic and I kept wanting more. I love the way Ms. Stewart’s words just flow and wrap you up and take you along for the amazing ride. I look forward to reading much more from her!!!

I enjoyed this funny romance story. This is the second book in this series which is my favorite. I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. It was great getting to see characters from previous books. This is a well developed story that kept me turning pages until the end. I had no problems connecting with the characters. They are strong and made me feel part of the story. This is a story about a man who has crushed her dreams as children but now are forced to deal with each other. Is he still a jerk and a heart breaker or could she be wrong about him? This really is a great romance story, engaging and fast paced. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen was an emotional read. I had tears while reading most of this book. There were plenty of moments as a third party observer where I just wanted to resolve the issue, I got super invested in Calum and Olivia. I usually go for light hearted reads but it’s books with themes like this that end up really staying with.It brings to mind the whole thought of don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This was definitely a heavy book but the ending and lessons that both characters learn really make it worth the time and investment.

The story New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Carolina Kisses Book 2) by Sylvie Stewart is an amazing book to read. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Milo Papatonis. The main female character in this story thinks that he is rude, selfish, and surly. He is the man who crushed her dreams when they were kids. Is Milo still the same person? What does the future hold for them both? Read this book to find out. The bantering back and forth between the characters had me smiling and laughing out loud. There are also heartwarming moments and times when I wondered what was going to happen next. It is the perfect enemies to lovers’ story. Romantic scenes included in the book. This is a story that once you start you will not want to put down. I highly recommend reading it.

Be Brave with Me by J.B. Havens and CA Miconi is book one of the Finding Love in Green Springs series. I could not put this book down!!
Meg never expected the tragedies that befell her. Even though she is strong, it proved to be a bit too much. So, for six months Meg drives. She drives all over running from her demons. She doesn’t expect that when she gets to Green Springs she’ll be there any longer than necessary. Drew has had his fair share of tragedy so he recognizes pain when he first sees Meg. He can’t deny the sparks between them and he’s not sure he wants to try. Can he convince Meg to be Brave enough to give them a shot? Will she stay or will Drew have to watch her leave?
I enjoyed this book so much. Meg is so sassy and has quite the attitude. It was fun to read. Drew gives it right back to her. There are so many emotions in this book you don’t know how to feel at first but then you start falling in love with the characters and you feel their feelings deeply. I absolutely recommend this book!

I loved this collection of stories all with a different take on the classic story of Hansel and Gretel. My two favourites are The Witch In the Woods by Amy Allen and The Surface by CeeCee Elaine.
The Witch in the Woods turns the story of Hansel and Gretel around. So instead of focusing on the children, it focuses on the story of the “witch”. Morgause is a Fae who is sent to the human realm with twin babies, one boy and one girl on the orders of the king. What she didnt realise was that this was all a lie made up by the kings son to get rid of her. But that wasnt the whole story. She is left on earth keeping watch over the children Cory and Sydni, getting more angry at her situation as the years wear on. Until King Bayard comes to see her and the true story about his love for her and the children comes to light. As the children grow will they embrace their true parent and their home in the Fae realm or will they want to stay in the human realm with parents who don’t care for them. It is a story full of lies and deceit but with happiness and love at the end.
The Surface is a completely different story and one i wasnt expecting, even though i enjoyed it.
There is a virus killing people on the surface so all the survivers go to live in a bunker underground. Among them are Hansel and Gretel. Hansel is taken in after his mother and father pass away from the virus and Gretel was found wandering alone, lost and naked with no family.
They form a relationship but things arent right Gretel isnt what she seems and the love they share will be the undoing of Hansel. Its a gripping horror story that keeps you guessing all the way through.
Surly, rude, selfish, and inconveniently attractive. Meet Milo Papatonis, the king of all jerks.
I’m not normally one to judge, but I’ve been down this particular road before and I can confirm he’s earned his title. It’s not enough that Milo crushed my dreams when we were kids, but now I’m somehow being forced to dwell under the same roof with his ill-mannered ass. If he thinks his sexy shower noises and ovary-imploding smile can tempt me into forgetting, he’s nuts.
This situation is strictly business and blessedly temporary. Because my dreams are still out there waiting for me, and they won’t be found anywhere near this town—or this guy.
Jerks do nothing but break hearts, of that I’m certain. But I’ve been known to be wrong a time or two…

Well if I could find nothing else to say about this book, I can say it was quite unusual for me. I have never read a book that had alternate endings and I could not imagine how that could turn out. Perfect by Tricia Copeland turned out to be a great story. I like how Chloe did not limit herself. I like her boldness and how she has these internal conversations with herself and her honesty. Let’s face it we lie to ourselves more than anybody. I can’t say how I wanted this to turn out and it may be that I need to mull it over a while. The ending was quite a surprise for me. A good clean romance that was not uncomfortable in any way.
Perfect is written by Tricia Copeland and is the first book I have read by this author. I really enjoyed this romance story; I came into it thinking it would be like the others and its not. This is a book I will suggest to friends anytime they ask for a good book. This book follows Chloe and her many romantic possibilities while searching for the perfect man. I loved Chloe and seeing her grow as the pages passed, the author did a great job with capturing everything so perfect for this story. This story sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. It can be read as a standalone.

Humiliating Revenge is the first book I’ve read by T. Christensen and for that reason, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I was afraid this book would be a lot like most second chance Romance stories but it really was an emotional rollercoaster. There was a lot more depth to the characters and storylines than I was anticipating. The book itself really exceeded my expectations. I found myself interested from the very first page and my interest never faded. After reading this 4 star book, I would definitely read more from this Author in the future.

Perfect by Tricia Copeland was a good 4 star read. It took me just a bit to get pulled in, it felt like Chloe’s thoughts were all over the place.
Chloe is in a long distance relationship with her highschool sweetheart. She was missing him immensely, however when he shows up one day surprising her and sharing some news with her, she ends up making a very hard decision. Chloe has a vision of her future and the life she wants, she is determined to get it.
Who will she choose for her HEA?
Moving forward Chloe has quite the journey to finding her HEA. I had some LOL moments along with some hard moments with her. This was a great story of finding the Perfect life for yourself and being happy. I really enjoyed Chloe and all of the other characters, they added a great element to the story. Forgotten Promise is the second book in the Forgotten Trilogyby Virginia Wine. This continues Bryer and Nathan’s story from book one, so I highly recommend reading the first book before starting on this one. Just when things seem to be going great and the future looks bright- the past comes back with a vengeance and will test their relationship like nothing before. With all the obstacles they’ve managed to overcome- this may just break them! Again, as with the first book, I had some trouble connecting with the characters and their story. The frustrated me so much. I really wanted to shake them both! Cash is a real piece of work- a major POS!!! And we are left with another cliffhanger, with more details and developments to be revealed in the next book. I am interested to see how everything will come together in the end. Wonder what Forgotten Chance (Book 3) has in store for us….

A story about a young love cut short, full of regret when they come face to face several years later. Olivia Crawford seems very uncomfortable in her own skin. There is so much Olivia worries about as a daughter who is abused with very few she can consider a friend.
Calum Breen was the guy that was dumped, who works hard to become an MMA fighter and come home to show the girl who humiliated him how well he is doing now. The interactions between the older Calum and Olivia starts to show him that maybe he missed something back in high school.
The story was well written and I appreciate how the author showed growth and change in the characters.

Forgotten Promise Book two: The Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine. Once again this author truly knows how to capture my attention and I couldn’t put this book down. I highly recommend reading this series in order. Once again this author gives us a bit of everything I love in a great story. Som suspense, mystery and a whole lot of romance. These characters truly draw you into their world and you can definitely forget the time of day while you spend it with them. From the get go these characters had me hooked and I’m so ready for more. It’s a well written story and it’s paced nicely. Five stars all the way and excited to see where the author takes readers next. Highly recommended!

Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen is a good, entertaining read. This starts with the typical girl dumps boy, and he remakes himself to return bigger and better. Luckily, the author takes this and runs further and deeper with this storyline. The characters are complex and multidimensional. I enjoyed the story and the characters. People were deeper than I first thought and this helped to propel the story. I enjoyed the fact that I was surprised by the story because my first assumptions were this would be a typical cookie cutter story. There was good character development and story development. This is a good romance if you like Alpha males and strong, determined females. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Hansel and Gretal (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology 4 Stars
I’ve always loved fairytales. The authors in this anthology definitely wrote their own version of this classic. There is a bit of everything in these stories so they should satisfy most readers. I prefer stories that have a twist with some horror therefore these were my favourites.
The Surface by CeeCee Elaine
This leans towards a dystopian vibe. Most of mankind has died off because of an airborne virus. Two people escape an underground bunker and return to the surface. The story has a crazy twist at the end that you never see coming.
The Reaper Within by Jess Bagnall
A boy who has been shunned his entire life by the village grows up to be a hunter. He hunts the monsters in the forest helping the doctor with his experiments. With a twist you don’t expect, it’s definitely not a happy fairytale but it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Shadows that Move by Lorah Jaiyn
Witches and curses abound in this story. What do you do when no one believes you? When you’re terrorized but end up being blamed. If the truth doesn’t flow with everyone’s beliefs, does it pass as mental illness? Read the story and decide what you believe.

Humiliating Revenge: Contemporary Young Adult Romance by T. Christensen was so much more than I expected. Main character Olivia is ready to let go of her past with Calum until he shows up at the bar she is working at. He uses this opportunity to seek revenge but instead of it stopping there, secrets begin to surface and there is confusion. Is Olivia really the batch everyone thinks she is, or did Calum actually see the real person beneath the façade?
I was in tears at times while reading this book. I hurt for Olivia and what she struggled with. Her secret was huge and the life she grew up loving with her dad? Wow. I was so angry, sad, and frustrated at times but she was selfless. Calum irritated me at the start of the novel but as time went on my opinion changed. By the end of this book I was in love with them! I also might mention that I read this in one sitting. It wasn’t planned but when I started this book; I couldn’t stop. I highly recommend this novel.

This was my first book by Author T. Christensen. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and to be honest I was expecting the worst from Calum the whole book. “In case you haven’t noticed you are the one waiting on me hand and foot. Humiliating Revenge is a contemporary romance novel by T. Christensen. Olivia is in love with Calum, she always has been since their painful break up 4 years before. Olivia broke Calum’s heart but what he doesn’t know is she also broke her own in the process. Now he is back in her life, but things have changed. Neither of them are the same as they were before. Calum is a hardened fighter, at the top of his game in MMA and he is after his revenge. He is back in town and isn’t going to let Olivia forget what she did to him, but he doesn’t know the whole story.
Humiliating Revenge is a wonderful romance novel, your heart breaks for the characters and what they have been through. I wanted to stand up for Olivia and scream at Calum for not noticing. I give a massive thumbs up to any book that can pull me in that way. Definitely recommend to other lovers of this genre.

When your dumped in the most humiliating way in high school from the girl you thought you would spend the rest of your life with it cuts you to the bone, but when Calum comes back to his home town to confront the spoilt brat Olivia something is just not right but Calum can’t quite put his finger on it.
Olivia has a secret that nobody knows, she had to let Calum go although’s many years ago to protect him and his family. The hurt from that day stays with her always but he will be the only boy/man she will ever truly love.
The story opens a few years on from High School when Olivia goes to see Calum in his first major MMA fight near her home town but this is no reunion she is in the shadows as she has always been watching his career, he has never left her heart but they just can’t be together or he and his family will be in peril.
Calum decides to track Olivia down to humiliate her just as she did although’s years ago in school, making him think he was not good enough for her but now he has the money and the celebrity he will show her and rub that stuck up nose it. Once he locates her in the local bar working something does not seem right, with the feelings for her still strong he tries to rekindle the relationship but with Olivia blowing hot and cold all the time he can’t quite put his finger on it.
I loved this story, the vulnerable side to Olivia your heart could just break for her, wishing Calum would take that big head of his out of his backside and see the whole story but of course it takes his Dad to bring the whole thing to light. I would love to have learnt what happened to Mayor Crawford and how the relationship between Shelly and Eric turns out but I will have to read more of the stories to find out if this continues. I thought the whole telling of the interactions between Olivia and her father were hard to read but the writing was brilliant. I look forward to reading more by this author and recommend this story.

5 Star Be Brave with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 1) by CA Miconi Be Brave with me is the first book in the Finding Love in Green Springs series and holy Cow what an amazing story. My emotions were all over the place and I don’t think my heartstrings have been pulled quite like this story did in a while. This is about love, loss, and finding yourself after being lost. Meg and Drew are simply amazing characters that I loved reading about. He finds himself living a pretty lonely life after a tragic accident occurred . After a tragedy strikes she finds herself on a journey going from place to place .Then these two meet ,both of their pasts are haunting them. Can they get past there pasts and move forward? Will she stay or continue to run from place to place? Can these two have a future together? I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author. ]

This contemporary YA romance by author T. Christensen sent me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, it’s so much more than an enemies to lovers story. The book had me hooked from page one due to its fast paced storyline and great characters. Rich, snooty, spoiled town princess Olivia Crawford was ‘famous’ for being all those things whilst Calum Breen was the easy-going, adored high school athlete. Having been childhood sweethearts, Olivia then not only ended the relationship with Calum but did so in such a way that his humiliation at her hands and anger drove him away and he joined the MMA. Now successful as a MMA fighter, Calum is back in town and as he is no longer the love struck boy he once was is determined to get his revenge on Olivia. However the more he learns about the mayors daughter the more he realises things are not as they seem. This book definitely has a “Hot Alpha Male and a Determined Heroine”, I loved Olivia and Calum as the main characters and their chemistry sizzled off the page leading to some steamy moments. I thought the storyline of Olivia being abused by her controlling father was dealt with sensitively and realistically and gave the story added depth than just another teenager romance. The book was full of twists and turns and unexpected secrets coming to light which kept me turning the pages and I was immersed in Olivia and Calum’s world. I was cheering them on to a HEA. A great read and the first book I’ve read by this author and I now look forward to reading other books by T. Christensen.

Meg and Drew’s story is one that I was emotionally invested in from the get go…and it was quite the ride. Meg has sold off everything she had and is running from the tragedies of her past. Drew is a former football star that has suffered his own tragedy. Finding her way to Green Springs, Meg and Drew cross paths and their relationship is explosive from the beginning. However, as they both try to deal with their own pain, they need to figure out if they can heal each other or if they are better off just continuing the way they have been.
This book is full of emotions. Each of their situations pulled at my heartstrings and made me invested in their story. I really enjoyed every word of this book. We are also introduced to secondary characters that, if I had to guess, will be the subject of future books in the series. I will definitely be checking them out because this little town has grown on me!

These two are so intertwined I can’t help but see them get together or not. The friend connection, the relative connection and their jobs all make them an easy mark. But what’s not so easy are their personalities…they are like oil and water at times then others..PBJ. I just never knew what I was getting from page to page. Happy couple or fighting couple. I will say that her nastiness at the job did get old when she should be in the happy happy stage of love. I struggled with Caroline more than once and it was both her attitude and actions that caused me to question her. It kinda turned Charles into a begging man which I didn’t really think fit him at all. He is a kind romantic guy. These two have many highs and lows between them. Overall it’s a nice story. I did read it fairly quickly. The secondary characters (his family and Casey) added some much fun to this story.

This is a cute enjoyable story! It made me chuckle at times but usually I had a smile on my face. Each of the MC had a devastation in their life. Maybe not recent but there are still repercussions as a result. I liked them both together and it’s clear they need each other. They have nice sweet, sexy, potty mouth filled times together. She is smart mouthed and he is kind. She is a take no prisoners lover…oh and so is he. They each adore Nana and the townsfolk of Green Springs. This is an enjoyable quick read and I look forward to the next one.
PS. I love the title and how it is worked into the story.
