In Other Words by Pamela Q. Fernandes is the first book in the Boothbay Harbor series. This is a well written book that is a strong start to a new series. Having read a few books by this author I knew to expect a great book, which is exactly what I got. The book was highly emotional from start to finish. It felt like you were taken on the journey with Trish. The book had an even pace about, not rushed or intense but a slow build of the story. It worked well for this type of book and the emotional rollercoaster it takes you on. I very much enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to book 2.

The Runaround: A Carolina Connections #6, by Sylvie Stewart. Let me start off by saying I have read every single book in The Carolina Connections Series and I have absolutely loved them all!!! This book was no different. This is the sixth book in the series and I think they just keep getting better and better!! The chemistry between Jax and Ari is great. Since they first met, the flirting and little jabs with each other was definitely there. I couldn’t put this book down and I just couldn’t get enough of these two. I can not wait for more!!!

Take a journey to France in this LGBT adult series focusing on love, diversity, bisexuality, and own voices.
BOOK 1: REWIND
The day Enzo Chevalier lost his hearing, everything changed. Forced to rebuild his future and fight for his dreams, Enzo refused to let anything take him down…until the man of his life walked out on him and shattered his heart.
Florian Beaudry had his whole life figured out. His business was flourishing and everything was settling down at last. Or so he believed…until he walked in on his girlfriend and best friend.
Still on the rebound and unable to trust another man, Enzo never expected a chance encounter with Florian. The one person he thought he would never see again. The one person he missed the most.
Were they truly meant to get a second chance or were they doomed from the start?
BOOK 2: RETURN
Unable to find an apartment he could afford in Paris, Raphaël Diop had no other choice but to move in with the enigmatic Adrien Dupuis, a charming man with many secrets.
If cohabitation seemed like a bad idea from the start, things only got worse when Adrien acknowledged his attraction to Raphaël, making an offer difficult to resist.
But sleeping together wasn’t an option for Raphaël, not when it might cost him the only place where he could live.
Could they truly ignore their desire for each other, or could Raphaël believe that one night together might be worth risking it all?
BOOK 3: REVIVE
To Patrick Lefèvre, nothing matters besides his family, his friends, and sex. He isn’t cut out for relationships, and everyone knows it.
Since his divorce, Brandon Smith has had a lot going on. There’s no time for hookups or one-night stands. Not until he meets Patrick—a man as elusive as he is gorgeous.
Little does Brandon know that the man he just slept with is his new therapist. And his appointment is tomorrow.
Can Patrick and Brandon deny their deep attraction and develop a normal client/therapist relationship?
Can they limit themselves to hooking up once—or should they give their passion one more chance?
After all, what harm could come from one more night together?
BOOK 4: REBOUND
Bisexual YouTuber Noah Perrin had everything he could dream of. His channel was thriving, and his ten-year relationship with his boyfriend Hugo was rock solid—or so he believed until Hugo dumped him.
Completely lost, Noah watched as his life began to fall apart—until one phone call to his best friend and ex-lover Adrien Dupuis changed everything.
Would Noah expose himself to more pain by moving in with Adrien—a man he’d always desired but could never have—a man already tied to somebody else?
Noah would have never guessed he’d find support in a woman from Adrien’s entourage—a woman who makes him an offer he cannot refuse—a chance to finally be himself, to finally be happy.
Was this offer the opportunity he’d always dreamed of or was it just another dream meant to fail and break his heart?

Taming Zane by Lisa Lanay must be my favorite read so far this year! This is the second book in the series and was a sweet romance that was easy to get into from the first page. This is my first book by this author, and I am so glad that I decided to read the book. Shannon and Zane have great chemistry that’s instant which only added to make this book amazing. I can’t wait to read more from this series and this author!

Taming Zane is the second book in the Almost Perfect series by Lisa Lanay and also just happens to be my second book by this author. Zane and Shannon meet on a plane to San Francisco, then spend a week getting to know each other while having some killer chemistry. Is this a one-week romance or can Zane and Shannon make a relationship happen if they live in two different cities?
This was a light-hearted and corny-sweet romance that had my attention from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what this series has in store for me next!

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy is the sixth book in the Carolina Connections by Sylvie Stewart. One thing that sticks out with this story is the fact that Sylvie Stewart can mix humor and romance. It was a fun read. I have a crush on Jax as my book boyfriend. Stewart keeps the storyline light and engaging. Every once and a while it is nice to be able to read a story and forget life for a while. This story has a humorous plot line and a sweet romance as well. This story is about Jax and Ari and Jax’s daughter Ari. I encourage you to read this story and fall in love with Jax as well.

Taming Zane is book 2 in the Almost Perfect Series by Lisa Lanay. It is a romance novel, with a touch of humor, and can be enjoyed as a standalone novel. While it’s not so much of love at first sight, there is an instant connection between the characters, and I loved reading their story. The friendly banter and conversations they have, as well as jabs they make at each other are fun to read. It is realistic and entertaining. The story follows Shannon McGregor, single parent and Zane Taylor, single playboy doctor. They meet on a plane ride to San Francisco, where Shannon is heading for a week long trip ending in an interview. Zane is returning from a mission trip playing world doctor in a 3rd world country. While they come from opposite lifestyles, they instantly hit it off. I love that it was back and forth and you didn’t know how the story would end. Kept me engaged and read it quickly, because I needed to know the conclusion. Highly recommend both this and the first book, Loving Jake.

Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) by MJ Masucci. There’s a few trouble areas I had with this story but all in all I enjoyed it. I didn’t have the easiest of time connecting with our characters but eventually I grew to like each one for different reasons. The storyline had great potential and a somewhat easy flow but I was a bit confused at times but I’ll be honest it didn’t lessen my enjoyment. I just wanted more depth to both characters and storyline. I do like that it is a stand-alone and truly has an ending. It’s paced nicely and kept me engaged. Each character has their story to tell and in the end I’d say I’d recommend this book. I’m giving it four stars and truly can’t wait to see what’s next.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn. Emmy and Alex oh how they will be with me long after I finished reading this book. From page one I was completely hooked on their story. Each one gave me a million reasons to love their story. This author is new to me and I’ll definitely be back for more. Each character just draws you into their world and I never wanted to leave. The characters are complex, relatable and so well written I forgot I was reading at times. This book definitely has its hot scenes but it’s also got a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. And characters you can’t help but connect with. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend. I’ll be adding it to my read again list for sure!

This book was such a great read. Sweet romance at its finest and I didn’t want to put it down. I was pulled right in because of all of its sweet and hilarious moments. Shannon and Zane are the main characters in this book and they just go together so well and their story gave me all the warm fuzzies. I enjoyed both of them and was rooting for their HEA from page one. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend. Happy Reading!

Four Star
We all love a good story about a forever bachelor. A man so set in his ways that he believes nothing will change his mind. So sure that the same game will work with every female. What Zane doesn’t see coming is a single mom with many quirks. I like Shannon. Her character has to be one of my favorites. She isn’t into herself, she talks out loud and she is a worry wart. I felt like I bonded with her character more than any other books female lead. Not only as a mom but as a woman who doesn’t date. Who spends her time working and raising children. I liked the friendship that grew between them before the tension. It’s a great foundation for a relationship. To build your trust from learning about each other. I want to meet my boo by chance. To just talk to him without knowing this could be my forever. I love stories like this. The author made it fun and funny. Shannon ‘s quirky personality mixed with Zane’s brackish charm was a mixing pot for a great story.

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy is the sixth book in The Carolina Connections by Sylvie Stewart. This series keeps getting better and better. I think this is my new favorite by Sylvie . Ari and Jax are great relatable main characters, but Lola really makes the story come together. The dialog is witty, and the chemistry is sizzling. Reading this story was a truly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this book, series and author. Review by @sunbarn

5 +++++ Stars
Loved this so so much!! I think the only thing I’m upset about is I don’t know who is getting the next book and it’s driving me crazy LOL
I love this series, I love how this author can make you believe these could be predictable kind of stories (which I love also) but then actually has you believing that there’s no way to fix the hurdles between these characters and there will be no happily ever after. I love that things happen in these stories that feel so real. I was actually feeling the anxiety that Shannon was feeling at the start of this book, being in a strange city, knowing no one and needing help would have broken me. Not sure I would have had the guts to make the phone call she made, but so thankful she did because it was the start of one of the best stories, I cracked up during the kitchen scene at the beginning..That would have so been me!
I loved Shannon’s family dynamic, it made me smile and LOL more than once and it was so awesome to check back in with Jake and Kimberly. I can not pick a favorite of the two books so far..I enjoyed both of them equally and can’t wait for more. I love how smoothly these books flow and before I knew it I was done, left wanting so much more. I can definitely see myself reading these again.

Such a sweet, sexy, and drama filled story! I really enjoyed reading the drama that came along with Jax, his new found daughter Lola and his ex Darcy. I was nervous that Darcy was going to be and even bigger witch than she already was, and I was disappointed I didn’t get to see a real resolution to the character of Mitch. It seems like Jax and Arianna do this dance with each other around their feelings and level of attraction to each other until finally it happens. Then some hearts break, and I can fully understand why, but communication is always the best policy! The secondary characters that make up a part of the group Ari and Jax hang out with, were fun to read about and brought some comedy into the mix. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read!

I really enjoyed reading this book. M.J. Masucci does a wonderful job of describing the characters but also the scenes so it makes it so easy to completely immerse yourself in the story. We started the journey with Lexi finding out she was going to be working for her ex fiance. There’s a lot of internal struggle from Lexi as she faces new tasks and challenges she’s faced with balancing her new job working as well as a soon to be husband. This juicy read comes with a plot twist in the end that I did not see coming but I love how the book ended and set itself up for the possibility of a second. I would definitely recommend this book to read and I look forward to the second one to come!

The Runaround is the long awaited (at least by me!) sixth book in Sylvie Stewart’s Carolina Connections series. I am sure you are thinking she must have read all the books in the series and YOU ARE RIGHT! I absolutely love the series and though one could say that you can read all the books as standalone then I will tell you “Read the in order so that you get every minor reference and you know every single person you meet in the story!”. The Runaround gives us Ari and Jax and if you have read the rest of the series then you have met them before and like me you are gleefully sitting at the edge of your seat and ready to hit the road with them! These two make you laugh so hard you almost pee your panties, and they make you roll your eyes and then it gets way too hot and you need to turn up your AC! I love the way the writer makes us feel so close to the characters to you feel invested in the like you would with your best friends and yes, it might feel a bit too flirty with those two and you might not like that they hide their relationship from the rest of the gang, you will still keep your fingers crossed and hope for a happy ending as their story is like a rolling ocean that you cannot escape from! I truly hope that this is not the end as I am sure there are many more Carolina Connection stories hiding in Sylvie Stewart’s imagination!

The Runaround is the story of Ari and Jax. Ari has a dream of one day running her own website design business. While building up that business, she is also a receptionist and karaoke deejay. She designed the website for Jax’s company about a year ago. During the time she was working with him, they shared some flirty banter that she was hoping could lead to something…until he ghosted her. He shows up months later at the bar where she runs karaoke to ask her for help with singing lessons. However, the lessons are not for him…instead, they are for his teenage daughter that she knew nothing about.
Turns out, Jax just learned about a year ago that he has a teenage daughter. Their relationship is icy (at best). When his daughter’s mom brings up singing lessons, Jax knows just who to ask. Ari has an amazing voice and knows she will be the best person for the job. Quickly their flirtatious banter starts up again. However, Jax realizes that he must keep both his and his daughter’s feelings in mind when it comes to Ari. His daughter has been hurt by his mother’s past relationship and Jax does not want to bring someone else into his life that could lead to more hurt for his daughter.
This story is a back and forth between what the heart wants and what Ari and Jax think is best for protecting their hearts. I found myself wanting to slap the characters when they did something stupid…but wanting to hug them when they got it right. The supporting characters were interesting, and I want to go back and read their stories. It looks like some will be getting their own books in the future, so I will probably check those out as well. This is the first book I have read in the Carolina Connections series…but it will not be the last!

The Runaround was so good! I laughed, I cried, I wanted to punch Jax or shake some sense into him several times! I could hardly put this book down! It was so well written, I felt like I was right there in the story with them. Super heartfelt, Sylvie Stewart did a great job showing what true love feels like. I highly recommend, this book would be a great read with a nice bottle of wine!

Broken by Love written by M.J. Masucci is the first book by this author that I have read. I really enjoyed reading this book so much that I read this in one sitting… (Thank goodness it was a Sunday, so I didn’t have to do anything) LOL. So, the characters are great and well written I enjoyed the plot even if it was frustrating at times was great and different. I wanted to strangle Lexi, JC, and Noah. I loved the quirkiness of the characters. This is a second chances romance, with drama, love, betrayal, angst, forgiveness, and a few twists.
It seems Lexi has a hard time keeping fiancés… Everything is going great with her now fiancés Noah when she finds out the new boss is her ex JC. Things seem to unravel as she works with JC and she finds out the Noah is keeping secrets. She doesn’t have to worry about Noah he is her present and future he is her rock she can trust him, right? As things at work heat up things at home are blowing up. She now realizes that JC is still in love with her, but he is her past, isn’t he? Now she finds out that he isn’t her rock she doesn’t even know him did she ever know him. As tensions rise and betrayals unfold, Lexi is soon left questioning the strength of her bond with Noah and whether she’s marrying the right man. You will have to read this great book I can’t wait until February so I can read Hunter’s story

Lexi finds herself in an unexpected and uncomfortable situation. She finds out that her new boss is her ex-fiance and he still has some feelings for her. When she was engaged to JC they were really young and he was constantly cheating on her, than he broke it off with her.
Now she is engaged to Noah and ready for a new start. As the story moves forward Lexi finds herself once again being betrayed. And what will happen when she finds out just how JC feels about her? Will she make the right decisions for herself and get her HEA?
My emotions were all over the place while reading. I wanted to wring a couple of necks and shake some sense into Lexi. This is my first read from this author and she pulled me right in with her writing. We do get some steamy scenes and the secondary characters were great. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started now.

This is book 6 in this series, and can be read as a standalone as it follows just one couple. But I did love seeing some of the previous characters in this story.
Jax isn’t a commitment guy, feelings emerge and he jumps ship. Then comes Ari, and he’s learning more about himself than ever before. He’s also dealing with being a new dad to a teenager who hates his guts. Ari is working her tail off to achieve her goal for her dream job. She’s got a habit of picking the wrong guys for her. She was hilarious and real and I loved her through this whole entire book. She was very relatable and I loved that about this writing.

5 Stars
I have loved all of this series, and when I started this one I was a little worried because it took me a bit longer to get in to it, but as it moved I found myself not being able to put it down. It was awesome to finally get Carters story and I loved her spunk and feisty attitude, which she seriously needed with Mr. all business Logan.
I pretty much knew what would happen, but how this writer took me there was a fun ride. I loved the family dynamic as usual, this is what has made me love this series the most.
I can’t wait for more from this author, I love her writing style, it’s always a smooth flow and before you know it your done. This was a fun book and I highly recommend it. It can absolutely be read as a stand alone but I recommend following this family from the beginning.

This is my first read from this author and I was so glad that I picked this read up! What a brilliant Laugh out Loud book, that gives you all emotions but has the added romance element as-well! I absolutely love the storyline that Sylvie Stewart created and the amazing characters that go along with it. Her characters really stand out and make an impression with their chemistry and connection but also their personalities, you really connect with them and love following their story. I was totally captivated and hooked with this read and couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to see what else this author brings to this series, you won’t want to miss it!

Broken By Love is a fantastic second chance romance novel by M.J. Masucci. This was the first time that I had read any of this author’s works so was unsure what to expect. What I got was a well written, intriguing second chance romance novel that I really, really enjoyed reading. Imagine the horror of starting your new dream job only to find out your new boss is your ex fiancé who previously got a promotion that should have been yours, then broke up with you months before your wedding. Yeah well that’s what happened to Alexa (Lexi) Stanford. Even worse to find out that although J.C. is now married, he wants Lexi back. Lexi, of course is having none of it as she’s happily engaged to Noah. Or is she? Why can’t she stop thinking about J.C.? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Seeing into Lexi’s head with the struggles she has over her body’s reaction to J.C. and wanting to keep their relationship strictly professional was enthralling. I was really gripped by Lexi’s struggles. Throw into the mix Noah’s secret child and ex that Lexi knew nothing about, all makes for an exciting read. This may have been the first time I read any of this author’s work but I’m sure it won’t be the last. 100% recommend this

This is an lovely story about how we can be hurt by someone we love but that we can forgive and learn to love again.
Alexa has finally got her dream job but little does she realise her new boss is her ex, JC who broke her heart when he left her and ended their engagement. Since that time she has moved on and let another man into her heart and is marrying him.
Noah is so far from what JC was like that Alexa knows her heart is safe with him or so she thinks.
This story is a rollercoaster of emotions as trust is lost and gain and love is lost and returned. People can surprise you and heartache can heal to become love.

Taming Zane by Lisa Lanay is the second book in the Almost Perfect Series. This book was a wonderful, loving, humorous book to read. The author did an amazing job captivating the audience right from the first chapter. This story gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings that I couldn’t put it down. The connection between the two main characters Shannon and Zane was amazing. Who wouldn’t want a handsome doctor to take care of them 😉 I will definitely be looking for another story by this author!

Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) by MJ Masucci Stars-4
This is the first story in this series. Each story is a standalone. This story was filled with drama and twists. There were moments that felt rushed, but, overall, this story went at a good pace. This was a good second chance love story. I am interested in how MJ Masucci is going to develop this series.
