If you are looking for a historical fiction thrill ride full of intrigue, mystery, murder and romance, then this is definitely for you.
The Man in Black by L.R. Liverpool follows Fenimore James as he leaves home to pursue and achieve his fantasy of becoming an outlaw. He succeeds by becoming Simon Shaw. The adventures he imagined take a dangerous turn when he joins the Red Evans gang, and they start getting murdered one by one. Through all of this, Shaw is still able to fall in love, but that can be just as dangerous.
This is a book that will stay with you well after you finish. The character development and world building were well done by the author. One stand out is how well the author handled the intricacies of self identification and sexuality with grace and sensitivity.
Once you get to part two, this novel is full of suspense, well-rounded, and flawed characters and will keep you turning the page until the end.

What an incredible to a start to a series. I was not disappointed it grabbed a hold of me and wouldn’t let got ill I was done. I couldn’t put it down and could not read it fast enough. This book was so well written I really felt like i was right there along with Lady Arryn the prince and Rowan going thou their own little adventure. the world development to the world was amazing and really made me fall into this other world and almost forget out the world around me. This book captivated me from the beginning that I really am going to get the next books done. I highly recommend this book if you love a fantasy romance with a little twist.
Laramie and Trigger’s story was a definite heart gripper. You could feel the chemistry with these two before the mating call gripped them. The story had me right from the beginning. You could tell right off the bat that his stepdad, Leonard, was up to something. That guy was a piece of work. I found the story was really gripping with Laramie trying to decide if he was who he said. Trigger was trying to figure out what to do. He didn’t get to have a pride to grow up with. This such a good series. It is that way because the author gives suchh a long time between books. I don’t mind anticipating because they are so worth it. Laramie’s family is traditional. I can’t wait to see who gets blessed to mate with Sheridan. Afton seems pretty chill. I’m excited to see his story. He’s next. However, I digress, back to Laramie and Trigger, watching their relationship develop almost makes you tear up. They go through the good, bad and the ugly. Evenn the crappy dad, Casper makes an appearance. A phenomenal story and series that you really should read. .
Good Story! It is eye catching at the beginning and only gets better from there. The story just pulled me in with the action and suspense that is filtered in throughout. Not to mention the snappy dialogue from the characters. A couple characters really have some verbal sass going on. So good!
I always enjoy this authors fantasy stories. She does a good job creating the world and her characters are not perfect and but always have room for wonderful growth. It is a pleasure to read these stories.

This is a good story. I love reading about shifters so this was an easy pick. The is interesting and held my attention up to a point. After that there was some skimming and just a push to finish. I like Cheyenne and her family is a hoot. Each sister completely different personalities. The future stories should be fun The male lead has such a calming attitude. A perfect addition to this wild bunch! Overall it is a cute story

This story is nicely done! While it is a stand alone there is an interconnected story running through the series. I highly suggest starting off with the Mating Call which is book 1. Trigger was an enigma to me. But once the story rolled along I really started to like him and actually felt sorry for him. While the mating is a part of the story it is not the main one. So we have a lot of other stuff going on as well. I look forward to the next the series and seeing what will happen next.

Cheyenne Mackenzie was determined to have a different life than her mother. Her mating was nothing more than a mating and Cheyenne wants more than just the animal instinct. Years later Cheyenne feels the call and heads home, Lane Matthews is there and recognizes her as his mate. Cheyenne is weary about the mating though can she and Lane have a mating that is met with compassion and feelings for one another or will they be enemies thrown together by the call?
Entertaining story. I get where Cheyenne was coming from, she had seen her mother break in her mating and wanted more. I really liked Lane and thought the chemistry was fantastic. Looking forward to the next book.

This is the 8th book in this series and it just keeps getting better. I love the sexy alpha and the sassy heroine who doesn’t back down trope, along with the electric chemistry. Sardinia is the Master of his island and rules things well, but it’s discovered that the rogues have managed to infiltrate his domain without his notice. Madria is the daughter of the club owner, the shifters attempt to infiltrate and she also has the gift of sight. She is not a fan of Sardinia, but when fate throws them together, they have to survive not only the shifters, witches, and rogues, but a centuries old secret. I love how well the story line moves along through each book, we keep getting closer to the final showdown. The author has done an amazing job of creating standalone books that fit into a storyline that keeps moving through seamlessly. If you like steamy paranormal romance with a danger, intrigue, and twists, this is a great book and series to check out.

It’s a no brainer when I see a new book by DM as I love, love, love her books. She is one of the Queens of being able to write epic dark MC stories very well. Fractured Hearts-Prospect is the seventh engrossing book in the amazing Grimm Wolves MC series. D.M. combines paranormal and MCs to tempt and delight one into the fold. The characters from previous books cross over in the books and it’s good to catch up with them. They are well written and easy to connect with. The chemistry between the two main characters is undeniable, the chemistry is off the charts. Dingo hides so much behind the fun-loving persona. He will do anything to prove himself worthy to the club and his brothers in arms. Celee is on the run. She needs protection from the most heinous villains around and Dingo and the Grimm Wolves MC are the ones she has stumbled upon. The story was fast paced and a quick read but was packed with everything you could want and that left me with wanting more. It also has all the feels, but it also had me laughing at times with the comradery and banter of this crazy family. It is raw and gritty and broke my heart. It is full of pain, suffering, drama, angst, tension, suspense and sorrow, heartbreak, and crushed and tormented souls. I have said it before, but I will say it again, I love that these men who protect their women, their families, their friends, their fellow brothers. They ride free, live hard and love with their whole being and protect fiercely. There is so much left for the Grimm Wolves MC, and I can’t wait. If you love a story with a supernatural twist, then D.M. is your go to girl.

An enjoyable and engaging paranormal romance which had me hooked throughout. For mountain lion shifters fate exists and comes in the form of the mating call, which brings two people together who are perfect soul mates. Laramie and Trigger feel the mating call as soon as they meet, however Laramie has always had a sense of responsibility and has put her dreams aside to help her family and Trigger has been raised among humans. Trigger is determined to help the shifter community that Laramie is part of at Long Claw. There is a reason why mates should claim each other straight away, and that’s to avoid the mating haze, a fog that consumes the couple until they are carrying each other’s mark. The mating haze hits Laramie and Trigger, clouding Laramie from the truth behind her new mates arrival in the pack. As secrets are revealed and truths told the couple’s new relationship is tested and for Laramie it’s too reminiscent of what happened to her Mum. The descriptive narrative brings the setting of Long Claw vividly to life along with the members of the Pride, which made me feel immersed in the story. I loved Laramie and Trigger and their chemistry really came across in the narrative. I look forward to other books in this series.

This book is another great read from the “Buckeye Falls” series. First, we read the stories of Ginny, CeCe, and Natalie. Now, we get Alice’s story. Although Alice Snyder grew up in Buckeye Falls, she has just returned to town. She meets newcomer, James Gibson. The two are instantly drawn to one another, but decide to “fake date” instead of dating for real. As the story progresses, they get closer. There are twists and turns that threaten to keep them from a lifetime together. I love this book! I did read the first three books in this series, but this one is my favorite. I think it could be read alone, but I recommend reading the other books for background on the characters. Alice is complicated – she is educated, intelligent, and somewhat quirky. James is a perfect match for her with his creativity and gentlemanly disposition. I enjoyed reading as the two got to know one another. I was on the edge of my seat as they faced challenges together and apart. By the end, I was even more in love with Buckeye Falls and its characters.

I just love all of this author’s books. I got into MC romances thanks to this author. The characters are well written and the stories always manage to meld into one another seamlessly. I really find I am drawn into the books and cannot put them down. I love the chemistry between the main characters. Their past lives always help to create the story and bring a deeper sense of knowing. The drama is really well balanced with romance. I also like how the storylines are not predictable and really grab the reader and keep you focused on them. This author has such a great world she has built and I look forward to reading more from her as well as this series and all her other series.
This book is a great book by an fantastic author and a unique take on a shifter story. It is unusual for a book like this to bring something new to the table and yet this author managed it with such ease. I was pulled into this story so easily and I loved watching how it all unfolded. I really enjoyed learning about the characters in this book too. They were intriguing and engaging right from the word go. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop as the book went on and always hoped that they would find their way. This is a well written and exciting story and it is definitely worth the read.
This book is yet another fantastic addition to the series and is possible my favourite one so far. It was just as dark and intense as the others I have read and yet this one also had a lighter tone running throughout it. For me, this added a different level to the book that the others didn’t have. The characters were so well matched too. They are exactly what the other needed, even if at times that wasn’t clear. It was so easy to become invested in their story and want the best for them. This author is one that I never hesitate to pick up a new book by because they are always so good. This book is the perfect example of that and I would urge everyone to read this series.

I really enjoyed Hannah and Doyle’s story. The author wove an exciting and intriguing romantic suspense story and one that I as fully invested in the whole way through. I liked the characters; they were both likeable and relatable. Hannah’s character came across well and I could feel her emotions regarding the loss of her brother, it was a loss she felt deeply and the author got this across really well. I liked Doyle and I have to be honest I could feel the attraction between the two of them straight away, he was determined to keep Hannah safe from her stalker. A great read that will definitely keep your attention the whole way through! I’m looking forward to reading more from this series!

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart & Hand Series by Nicole E. Kelleher. This is a medieval historical romance. It took me a about a third of the way through to actually capture my attention, the pace goes from very slow to extremely fast. The beginning is not bad, it just is very slow, and you MUST pay attention to every detail as Nicole E. Kelleher drops small hints throughout the book, which I loved, but just wished the pace was consistent throughout. At times it felt like there was a good bit of filler information.
This book is full of castles, secret passages, war, betrayal, strong heroin, and arranged marriage. Anna is such a headstrong and brave young woman, her idea of a blissful marriage is quickly shattered when she realizes her husband is a cruel, sadistic, hateful and abusive man. Lord Roger hides behind a mask, he can be charming and alluring. Anna, with the assistance of several people want to get rid of Roger, but he is two steps ahead of them – Roger ordered that if he is to die, that not only is his Captain supposed to kill Anna, but they are also supposed to kill her entire family and harm her hometown, Chevlain.
Lord Roger is up to something, but they cannot prove it. Larkin and two other men from the Royal Guard show up in Stolweg to try to uncover any wrong doings by Lord Roger. When he arrives, he is stunned to see the woman who has haunted his dreams for years. if Lord Roger is proven to be guilty, Anna may be implicated as well since she is his wife.
By the end of the book, it was a captivating romance with plenty of action, violence, prophecy, and challenges. The book really starts progressing when Anna decides to save herself and her people from the sadistic Lord Roger. I recommend reading this book if you love medieval fantasy romance! I cannot wait to read book 2. PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR THIS BOOK!

Kelleher – Review by Helen Dawkins
This is part of the Long Claw Pride series. I have read previous books by this author and have enjoyed them all and this one was just as good. I love a paranormal romance where the Shifter mates are protective and possessive, where neither one can fight against what they are feeling the connection is that powerful. However this is a mated story with a twist. There is a saying that love in blind and the same is true in the Shifter world except its called the Mating Haze. When Laramie Mackenzie meets Trigger Bain the Mating call is activated and they realise they are meant to be mates. Laramie is the sensible one of the pack so it is unlike her to just lose her mind over a guy. However that is what she is doing, not only does she accept her mate she also sees an opportunity to fulfil her dreams when Triggers Step-father offers the opportunity to improve their town, make it more profitable and allow Laramie the chance of having her own store. But when things are too good to be true they normally are this isn’t going to be the perfect dream she is expecting.
Trigger is a Shifter who has grown up in the human world. He has very little experience within a pack and only knows what he has learnt from his mother. He follows his step-father around helping him improve the lives of shifters or so he is told. He trusts his step-father. After everything he’s done raising him why would he lie to him? When Trigger’s step father realises his fated mate is part of the Long Claw pack he knows he can use this to his advantage. As Trigger and Laramine try to get used to their bond and learn more about each other they also need to uncover secrets and lies which could destroy their future before it even begins.
This story is action packed with twists and turns that will keep you guessing. There are characters you will love and characters you just don’t trust. The author does an incredible job of writing that allows the reader to picture the scenes in vivid detail as if they are there seeing it with their own eyes.
This book is part of The Talisman series but it is a prequel. I have loved every book in the paranormal romance series and this one is just as amazing. The author does an amazing job with the story creating a world of.good vs evil, as well as a fated mate storyline too. One thing I really love is that the main characters complement each other. We have a warrior and a talisman but both are equalling strong and equally needed if they are to succeed and defeat the evil against them.
This is Riley and Lynnette’s story. Both of them have just reached the age of 21 so neither of them expect to find their mate so soon but the gods have other plans when they bring them together. Riley is already a skilled warrior and even though Lynnette doesn’t know what her skill is or how it will aid Riley there is no denying their connection and love for each other. When they go away to start bonding and try and figure out Lynnette’s skill they are attacked. What follows is an adventure as Lynnette figures out what role she is to play by being at Riley’s side and we learn just how strong their bond is when it is threatened. Will they defeat the evil force against them that is trying to stop their bonding? Or will they prove just how strong they are when a warrior finds his Tailsman.

This book is probably one of the most beautifully written that I have read in a very long time. The author does warn of the content in the story but ye whilst I cried a lot it was also dealt with so sensitively and unfortunately it is something we all have to go through. The way the author wrote about certain things in the books she really did make me feel what the characters were feeling. I could feel that joy, happiness, kindness and also that deep grief, sadness and hurting of all of the characters in the story. The dual point of view was great I really did feel I was able to connect with both Hope and Adam and truly understand how they were both feeling. It’s hard to write this review without giving away too much of the storyline and it is too beautifully written to be spoilt! I honestly cannot recommend this book enough; it is truly a beautifully written story!

This book is a great way to start a series. Shifter romances are not my normal go to for reading. I was not disappointed with this book. The author does an amazing job describing details of the MCs and the settings that you actually feel like you are there as a fly on the wall. All of that being said, this book explores the shifter world of a mountain lion, which I have never heard of before. I probably shouldn’t have been surprised as anything can be a shifter. That is was intrigued me with this book. It was my hook into it. Once I started reading, I was not able to put it down. I kept turning page after page to see what was going to happen or how something was going to end up. It was a very fast paced read and kept me entertained the whole time. I highly suggest reading this series. If you aren’t into the shifter genre, this book is still worth it. If you haven’t dabbled in this genre before, this is a great series to start with.

This book does not disappoint. I was intrigued with the blurb about this book. The haze that could surround the MCs of this story if they don’t take the mating mark right away. This is something that I haven’t read about in other shifter books. It is something that I can come into this series and consider a new take on the shifter genre. That said this book was excellently written and very descriptive. I was able to picture everything in my mind like a picture. There are some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. It definitely kept me turning pages to see what was going to happen and where everything was heading in the story. The romance in this book is spit on for the story. It isn’t too much and not too little. I feel like this book was really thought out. It is part of a series and I would highly recommend reading them all. I was bot disappointed at all while reading this book and I intend on reading the rest of the series. This is a fast paced book and will keep you turning pages. It will allow you to loose yourself for a few hours while reading it. I always feel that a great book will make you loose track of time and this book did that and then some.

This is not my first book by this author but one of my favorites. I enjoy this author’s writing style that makes her stories pop. Engaging stories that have lovable characters that add so much to the story. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story feel realistic. I had no problem picturing myself with these characters. I enjoyed watching their growth and chemistry throughout the story. They pull you into their world with ease and keep you there until the end. A fast paced story that is full of romance and hard to put down. This is a great story that I enjoyed very much. I highly recommend this book
This is the seventh book in this series which I highly suggest you read the previous books in this series as they are just as amazing. I enjoy this author’s writing style that makes her stories come to life. This is a well written story about second chances and forgiveness. I enjoyed how strong and relatable the characters are. They have great chemistry and growth throughout which just added to the story. They pull you into the story and have me coming back for more. A fast paced story that is hard to put down. A must read story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this amazing story.

This is book 7 in a series. New characters, a new situation but still a continuation from the other stories in this series.
Earl has a special way of writing that makes you feel as if you are a part of the story you are reading. I love chance encounters, like everything happens for a reason. We may never know what fate has planned but it will all work out in the end.
These characters are funny, determined and brave. They each have their flaws, but no one, even fictional characters, are perfect. Perfectly imperfect…well actually Fractured.
Can’t wait to read about the rest of the brothers in this club!

This series follows a young couple’s relationship and all of its twists and turns. I love the characters in this book, but the writing is so real, it feels like your heart is breaking for them. Read this book if you like romance, struggles, and true love always finding a way.

Fate exists and it comes to every mountain lion shifter in the form of the mating call. This call brings two people together who are perfect for one another in every single way. And some are more ready for it than others.
Laramie Mackenzie has always had a sense of responsibility when it comes to helping out her family. Pushing her own dream onto the back burner where it’s left to simmer, she’s more than ready when her call comes, bringing with it a mate who just might hold the key to her future.
Trigger Bain is a mountain lion shifter raised among humans. He has no idea what life should be like aside from what the mating call is all about. He’s worked his entire adult life helping mountain lion shifter communities become the best they can and is just as determined to help Long Claw, the home of his mate.
Mates should claim one another right away to avoid the mating haze. A fog that can consume the couple, taking possession of them until they are carrying each other’s mark and it doesn’t matter when and where it hits. But there’s something underlying with Trigger’s arrival that the haze does well to cloud from Laramie’s eyes. Truths will be learned, secrets revealed, and their fledgling relationship tested to a limit Laramie hoped would never happen to her like it did her mom.
In the quiet wintery setting of Long Claw lives a pride of wild and crazy individuals and you just never know what any of them will get up to.
Born and raised in Northern Wyoming. Brooke spent a great deal of her childhood and even well into her adulthood in her imagination and creating different stories. With an overactive imagination life has been truly entertaining.
A mother of two wild and reckless boys and a wife; Brooke keeps busy year round doing things with her pups and family. When she isn’t writing, can usually be spotted walking somewhere in town, at the library with her youngest, or up in the mountains four-wheeling, hiking, fishing, and some hunting. A notebook and camera are never far from her side when she is out on her adventures with her family.
She loves hearing from readers and anyone who feels like talking. Feel free to pay her a visit whenever.
Laughter is the best medicine. I make sure to always deliver the fun and crazy while hiding my pain behind it. It’s who I am and what I do. I also work my butt off for the Grimm Wolves MC brothers, trying to prove myself as more than just a prospect. But even the toughest of the tough need to let loose every now and then. I know that more than anyone after the world of hurt I’ve experienced.

A chance encounter in a chat room just may be the saving grace I’ve needed all along. My father’s enemies are closing in, and my time just might be running out. Thank God Dingo and his brothers will do anything to keep me safe–even if it means going up against the most vile of criminals around. But the more Dingo tries to protect me, the more I know he’s hurting too.
Can two fractured hearts find a way to heal together?

The trigger warnings at the start of the book were extremely helpful and let me know what to expect. Wow! Just wow! This book was a fantastic read! Cahki is someone I don’t want to meet in a dark alleyway if I was on her bad side, but she and I would be fast friends. She does not hold herself back and holds herself to that standard. It was a little frustrating at some parts, where better communication would’ve resolved some misunderstandings, but overall I really did like her character. Sung-Juin was not was I was expecting. With his background I was expecting a woe is me, or a jaded closed off person. He did have his moments, but I thought he was a well balanced character. This book had a little bit of everything for me. Action, romance, suspense, and everything in-between. Also I gotta say this, the cover is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I seriously can’t wait to read more books by this author. I’m definitely going to buying a physical copy of this book to keep on my shelves!
