A dark paranormal romance novella which had me hooked from page one. Belladonna is not human but has an obsession with a man, René. René knows deep loss and has turned to drink and drugs in order to block everything out. When he starts being visited by a ‘otherworldly’ woman he thinks he’s going mad. Belladonna believes they are kindred spirits and will give him relief from his pain, in return for his life. Although this is a quick read it has an intriguing storyline, fascinating characters and unexpected plot twists. The descriptive narrative brings both the characters and setting to life which made me feel immersed in the story.

In this heartwarming Second chance romance, Trinity is back after reaching her dream of becoming a Rodeo queen and Shooter, the boy she left behind, wants to win her back but is feeling like a failure next to her and her achievements. I loved these characters and the storyline created by this very talented author even while my heart broke for Shooter over his feelings. I will definitely be checking out more of this series!

This is the 7th book in this series and can be read as a stand alone. It is also one of many that I have read by this author and each time I read one of her books, I am reminded why I like them so much. This book has everything that you could want from a second chance romance stand point. I like the twist where the female is the one that left in pursuit of her dreams. It gives it a little twist that isn’t in most second chance romances. I also, really enjoyed the male character and how he is the one that struggled after the break up. It just took some different perspectives that really made me enjoy the book. It is a quick read and you won’t be able to put it down because of how well it is written. This books showcases the struggle that can happen within families when someone takes an ex back and how outside interference can effect relationships. That said it was amazing. I am looking forward to reading more from this author cause I have yet to be disappointed. Reviewed by: @bbohls

I absolutely loved this book! It had a few twists I didn’t expect. It’s a quick paranormal romance read, which is not usual go to, but it was pretty good! Def recommend.
Trinity has been living her dream of a Rodeo Queen but as her term is coming up she is reflective on the opportunities that have passed her by, one in question is Scooter Price. She broke his heart when they broke up, but now seeing him again bringing’s up the old feelings of lost love.
Scooter is a little lost in his career, seeing his old girlfriend Trinity living her best life kind of makes him feel like a failure. When a chance meeting at a dance throws in the feelings he thought he had buried, can he follow what he truly wants or will other people trey to sabotage the relationship.
This is the seventh book in this collection and can be read as a standalone. The book is fast pace and a quick read with all the elements of a second romance that is just brilliant to read.
The chemistry between the main characters is off the page and you have to have a little pull of your heart strings for Scooter as he is so conflicted at times. Trinity character was refreshing to read and although she went after he goals she also felt the pull from Scooter that she may have made a mistake.
The book is a romance novel with all the heartfelt feelings and characters you just fall in love with, can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Rene had been battling the demons in his head for three years since his twin sister, Cherise, was murdered. After the latest murder he begins to feel a presence around him. Glimpses of an otherworldly woman with purple hair start to plague Rene. Belladonna has spent years preparing and planning to find and destroy the hunters who killed her family. Rene is the key to all her plans.
This was my first necromancer book and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the storyline and that it was dual POV. The story flowed well. Overall was a quick and easy read. This was also my first time reading Sinister Styx and I will definitely be reading more.
This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good paranormal romance but this story exceeded my expectations. You will fall in love with these two characters right from the start. There is a male to male romance that goes on as well but it is beautifully written. I can’t wait to see if we get to read more about these characters in another book.
Kenai and Mikael go to the same school as each other. They find out that they are going to be on the opposite sides of this horrible conflict that could destroy the world. They both have a duty to their families but they start to have feelings for one another. Will love be enough or will it destroy the whole world?

She’s My Rhinestone Cowgirl is a sweet second chance romance. Between two characters who were teenage sweethearts before dreams came before feelings. This is their journey back to one another. The author gives the reader exactly what they want. Love, romance, animosity, jealousy and so much more. I’ve read this author plenty of times and I will keep coming back for more just on merit. This book is no different. Part of a series which reads very well as a standalone novel. But I bet when you’re done you will want more. Trinity chose the path she’s on. Local Rodeo Queen, she wanted to represent the state but ended up being runner up. However this life came with sacrifices. Her independence being the biggest one, and Shooter coming in at a close 2nd. He didn’t fight for her then, what makes her think he still wants a chance now. Shooter had his heart broken by Trinity, but guess what he’s back and they are now in the same town. Having yet to cross paths he’s not sure how he will react when they do. She left him for a dream and though he understood it doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. Does he still want her? Does she still want him? Jump in and see how these two navigate these very questions. How they get past obstacles in their way, even with the help of others. This author isn’t one to let the reader down, so hopefully that gives anyone enough faith to check this story out!

This was a sweet second chance romance. I found this book enjoyable and entertaining. I found Trinity’s character to be refreshing. Trinity had to make a lot of sacrifices for her dreams including Shooter. Years later Shooter is back in town as a Sheriff and Trinity is so close to starting the chapter in her life. The connection between these two is still just as strong as it was before. Will they be able to overcome the past to build a future together? If you want to find out then this is a must read. This book can be read as a standalone. My advice is to read all the books in this series because this author is very talented and I have never been disappointed in anything I have read by her. I look forward to reading more. I recommend this book.

So there is this ring and seems to control who lives and who doesn’t. Sadly, Kenia and Mikael are the two who life hangs in the balance. Kenia is the hunter while Mikael is the demon angel at least according to their families. The thing is that Mikael doesn’t seem to care about himself anymore and just wants Kenia to do what the ring wants him to do, despite having feelings for Kenia. There is no denying that there is some else going on between the two. Can their feelings for each other outweigh the strength of the ring or will the ring win? You will need to read it to find out the answer.

She’s My Rhinestone Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 7)
I have had the pleasure of reading several books by Ms. May, but this is the first in this particular series and once again she delivers exactly what I have come to expect from her, a book that I enjoyed.
The childhood sweethearts having lived their lives separately when goals and outside forces pulled them apart end up finding their happily ever after for now.
Shooter is starting his life after college and the Academy and Trinity finally gets to live her life how she wants.
I have added this series to my ever growing TBR list so I can get caught up.

Mikael and Kenai come from opposite sides. One is the demon angel and the other is the hunter. The two feel the pull to each other and one simple teenage game will change everything for them. As the boys grow and learn what needs to be done will love find a way or will the ring get its way once again? This is an intriguing story. Readers are introduced to a new and interesting paranormal world. I found the idea of the ring and how it affects the person it is tied to an engaging storyline. It was nice to see the way Kenai and Mikael form a relationship and how far they will fight for it. The two work hard to prove that love is stronger than hate. Their story is well paced and has a good mix of romance and action.

This is the 7th book in the My Cowboy series. This is a contemporary romance sent in the world of rodeo’s pagents and cowboys/cowgirls. This is a second chance romance filled with emotions, heartbreak, moving forward and returning full circle where you started. In this story we are with Trinity and Shooter. They were young sweethearts but when Trinity’s dream of becoming a Rodeo Queen hangs in the balance she has a decision to make. Does she stay with the boy who’s captured her heart or does she leave him to follow her dreams? Trinity’s choice leaves Shooter heartbroken and they both go their seperate ways chasing their own dreams.
Now Trinity returns back to her home after reaching and achieving her goals of becoming Rodeo Queen. When Shooter sees her he can’t help but feel like his life has been a failure after seeing all her success. However as they spend time together all those old feelings resurface. Could this finally be the time for them to get their happy ever after? After Trinity left him heartbroken how will Shooters family react to her being back and wanting to be a part of his life again? And after all of Trinity’s success will the relationship even work with Shooter feeling like a failure against everything she has achieved.
This was a moving second chance romance and I couldn’t help being captivated by their stories. My heart went out to Shooter because not only did he get his heart broken but when Trinity returns he is also left with a lot of self doubt about himself which was a struggle for him to overcome.

This is not a normal genre for me to read (M/M romance). There’s implied romantic tension between Kenai and Mikael, and I would have liked to see this more before the drop of romantic curiosity. The readers curiosities peaked to find out why they’re such a strong pull between the two main characters and the balance of the world. Can they escape the fate that weighs heavily on each other? Opposites attract follow this paranormal romance as does the power of love. While the backstory of the demon angel-vs- hunter is not thoroughly bright into the plot, or explained in this book it was still a good read. I still want to know how this generational fated curse came to be.

This is definitely only for those over 18 due to the many scenes of an adult nature, including some which could be classed as triggering.
Bella is a woman on a mission, she has just found her husband cheating on her and now she is on the road to a divorce, but being in her thirties, Bella is not sure about how to even date in this modern world. She does however, have a circle of best friends who have a bit of experience and so she dives head first into the world of online dating and everything that comes with it.
Here is where we meet the 12 Mr Right Now’s and the steamy reawakening that Bella discovers with each of them from the boring, to the nice and to the kinky, there is a man for every taste she may have while she figured herself out. The ride is not a smooth one though and some of the most enlightening moments aren’t exactly the best ones, but you have to take the good with the bad right?
This is a very steamy set of romance novellas where one woman finds herself through a journey of self discovery and all the highs and lows associated with it, so prepare yourself for a wild ride and a lot of spice!

Really intriguing story. I loved how the story was told from the perspectives of both characters of their thoughts, feelings, and actions. It was a lot more the thoughts and feelings they had within their own minds, and it was a unique look into what they were thinking and then what they do after those thoughts and feelings emerged. It was so exciting to me that I was able to read it within 2 days because I just wanted to know what was going to happen next! The story is about a demon angel and a hunter with a ring telling him what it wanted. It follows the journey of both characters and the ring and their intertwined fates. So intriguing and had me guessing what would happen the entire book and I very much enjoyed reading this.

Corpse Pixie By Sinister Styx 5 star review Once I started this book it was hard for me to put it down. In this book you will read from the POV of multiple characters. The main character is Rene who is just trying to seek justice for his twin sister. Along the way Rene’s path crosses with Belladona who has big plans for Rene. They form an unusual relationship and help each other reach their end goals. Rene also discovers that all of the paranormal beings from the fairy tails are real. Pixies, witches, vampires, etc. Rene and Belladona end up discovering a major bombshell of information that turns Rene’s world upside down, yet helps him find closure. If you like all things paranormal as well as a good mystery, this is the book for you.

She’s my Rhinestone Cowgirl is a western style l, second chance romance that was a great change of pace from what I’ve been reading. Trinity Redhawk and her dreams of being a rodeo queen had her leaving Shooter in her dust, but after achieving her dreams, and coming back to him can Shooter and his family forgive Trinity? This book was a really sweet story. It’s one of those good pallet cleanser’s that you read in-between books. The romance between Scooter and Trinity was really sweet, watching them go from young love to heartbreak to second chances again in their adult life. I absolutely loved Scooter and my heart went out to him when he was struggling. The ladies in his family are definitely a force to be reckoned with! They weren’t too thrilled when Trinity had come back into Scooter’s life. But watching them grow together was heartwarming. I finished this book pretty quickly, and I loved the story telling and word building. I’m for sure going back and reading the previous books in this series!

If you enjoy Dark, Paranormal, and Romance this is a great read for you. Even though it’s a quick read Sinister Styx has filled the pages with a tale of Greif, revenge, love, and the paranormal that keeps you flipping the pages.
Driving into the Night by Amanda Kay is a MM Romance that is fast paced and will have you turning the pages till the end. I wasn’t real sure what to expect going in . I had a hard time getting into the story until several chapters in. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and I thinks it’s a me thing and not the story. I’m definitely going to put this on my re-read list and see what happens. This is a fairly new author to me and their style of writing is a bit different than I’m used to but once the storyline picked up I was hooked and read till the end. This is a story about a demon angle, a hunter and what happens when you leave love up to fate. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I am a big bad boys alpha based romance book reader and this really filled that. I love how the author is able to bring the characters to life. I really felt like I was in the heat of the drama. There is a good balance of romance and drama. I love how each character has been developed. I was definitely on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it would all unfold. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Chessly wonders of her path in life and although all her friends are pairing off with athletes she would rather not go in that direction but then is Finn. Finn is not what you see although a footballer he is more than that, with his intelligence and just a nice guy but his taste in woman sometimes could use a makeover he is sweet.
Finn is not your typical football star, he is a little awkward and a geek but when it comes to the opposite sex he is clueless. He is never far away from girl’s attentions but the only one he really wants sees him definitely in the friends zone for the time being. So when he offers Chessly a ride home and things are looking good in steps “the mean girls” who totally trash all over things. Can Finn get to have a second chance and show Chess that she is the right one for him?
This is a lovely story of two people right for each other clueless about each other and then a sweet ending that has you heart just breaking. Finn’s character although is a football star is sweet and nice with elements of sexy nerd coming through. I also love the way that his character is portraited as completely rounded and has no ego at all. Chessly’s character was a great compliment to Finn’s but at times I did feel her a little over opinionated regarding certain things but maybe that’s just because she was not mature enough to deal with the situations.
All in all the book flowed really well and the arc of the story had a gentle build up which was a pleasure to read. The chemistry from the characters was just lovely and the secondary characters added the overall story really well.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

The ring had been crafted under the cursed blood red moon. The demons would give the ring to the hunters, waiting for the demon angel to be born and the hunters would then follow its commands.
Driving Into the Night by Amanda Kay is an urban fantasy with paranormal elements and characters, drama, angst, action, adventure, mystery, and high stakes. This is my first read by Amanda Kay, so I went into this book totally blind, as I had no idea what the book was about, or what to expect from one of Ms. Kay’s stories. I thought I was getting my hands on a dark and gritty thriller- and was excited to see what would come. What I discovered is actually not dark, or gritty, and is a MM romance. Which is fine, because I read all different genres- but when I eventually checked the blurb, the fact that this is an MM romance isn’t even alluded to – so someone who loves fantasy/paranormal romance, but doesn’t enjoy MM romance might need to know this fact before they dive in, and in my opinion, there really should have been some mention of this on the blurb. Kenai and Mikael are caught on opposite sides of a long-fought conflict- hunter and angel-demon- and a cursed ring out for blood. But what happens when feelings get in the way of the ‘mission’? Follow along on this story of opposites attract- and the power of love. I was really intrigued by the whole ring and pact scenario and would have loved to have discovered more about that, but the story doesn’t go into that aspect of the synopsis much, or even at all…. which was disappointing. Plus, I found the story a little confusing at times, and where the story seemed to lack ‘focus’ on the main thread/s- while there was a lot of frustration with repetitive information, especially in the form of thoughts/internal dialogue. I just didn’t find my groove here at all, which made for a frustrating read because it should have been right up my alley. Happy Reading…

Finn McCabe is one of the Defensive linemen for Mountain State College. Chessly is the RA at one of the Women’s dorms. You would think being both smart and people who both enjoy Science would see the chemistry between each other. But it takes several failed attempts to make Finn see that the girl of his dreams is right in front of him. Then again when you have Jersey chasers hot on your heels maybe not. Chessly would like to be proven wrong in thinking that Finn is all about the Jersey chasers, but they just seem to pop up at all the right/wrong times when she and Finn are together. Seeing as Chessly has some type of past with a few of the Jersey chasers, maybe Finn has been looking at things all wrong. Only time will tell what the future will bring these two.

I love Baxter’s t-shirts. They are wonderful. They are fantastic. They are marvelous. The one about how he makes decisions. “Here I am” is all Baxter needed to advertise! 😂😂
I do believe the way these interconnected standalones overlap but don’t retell the story is wonderful. It helps a reader stay connected to the story and to the characters.
Okay…so Chessly and Finn. Chess wants nothing to do with Finn and his habit of giving into the jersey chasers that hang around. Every time Finn is winning points with Chessly, a jersey chaser or three interrupts and breaks the moment, sending Finn back to square one. For Finn, there is just something about Chessly that keeps him trying to impress her.
As Finn and Chessly battle around the bumps in their relationship, old foes keep popping up. An ex brings Finn to his knees in an instant causing him to lash out. Chessly’s nemesis tries to break up Finn and Chessly by having one of her friends say her pregnancy is Finn’s (it is not!). So many obstacles. But, all their friends are rooting for them and hoping for the best. Will Chessly and Finn be able to overcome any obstacle?
This series does not have a bad play. So far, each addition has been a winner. I can’t wait for Danny’s story. And Saylor’s!! This author knocks it out of the park (i know, wrong sport) with each story. You can’t go wrong with this series. Love it!
