OMG OMG OMG that cliffhanger will be the death of me! I don’t know how Isla Vaughn does it, but she has a way of pulling you in, twisting you all around, and leaving you gasping right at the very end. I never know what’s coming next with her work, but man, do I love the way she keeps me on the edge of my seat. I need these characters to have a happy ending like I need to breathe.

She just so happens to accept the nanny job for Morgan, who has a little girl.
Morgan has a history of being a bodyguard to high profile people and after some time, decides to open a company based on protective services. With the custody battle with his ex, he comes to the conclusion that he needs a live-in nanny and hires the sister of a friend. He didn’t expect that his daughter would like her so much, let alone did he account that he would like her as well.
The story is short but it is worth reading. If anything, it displays the many and different forms that family can be. And how you find what you need, when you least expect it.
I have not read the previous book in this series and though they can be read as standalones, I plan to read more by this author.

This story was a heartwarming contemporary romance. It is book 2 in the North Fork Series but you are definately able to read it as a standalone. The author does an amazing job with the characters, making them realistic and relatable. The chemistry between Morgan and Blake is captivating and with the addition of Morgan’s little girl it really warms your heart. Morgan is a single dad. After working as a security guard he now has to fight to protect his own daughter from his ex who is toxic and only wanting her daughter for her own gains. Needing help to care for his daughter Morgan hires an nanny and that’s where Blake comes in. Blake is down on her luck after losing her job. With no way to pay the bills she needs to find work and fast. Being a nanny definately isn’t the plan she has for her life but needs must. When she arrives she makes it clear that it’s just a temporary thing that she has plans to leave. But what happens when Morgan and his beautiful little girl work their way into her heart. Will she be able to walk away from them and will Morgan want her to?
This story is full of sexual chemistry but also love and emotion as Morgan and Blake learn to navigate this situation they find themselves in as well as care for Morgan’s daughter and fight a custody battle to protect his daughter. Both of our main characters have flaws and quirks which make them unique and charming in their own way. They both have things to work through but by giving into their attraction will this make them stronger or will it just add more drama and angst to a already tricky time for them all.

Cruel Hate (Hidden Valley Elite Book 5) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Jessica Stone
First off, if you haven’t read the book before this, go back and read Cruel Start, and if you have the time the other few books before this one. Ok with that being said, these books are soooo good, they have me in a choke hold. I’m not super big on sports romance that take place heavily revolving around said sports, and this book has the perfect amount of sports romance and enough angst, heat and drama to keep it fun and entertaining for me.
Phoenix is my best and worst nightmare, he just wants to do what’s best for him, his twin, mom and cousins, to have a good life and succeed, but man, he can be such a moody butthole about everything. I’m in love with his kind protective nature, that he rarely lets show besides to those closest to him and I hate how he hides so much behind the angry macho guy thing. His character development for me in this book was wonderful to see, he’s blossoming. But he still has some growing to do.
Aspen, Aspen, Aspen, my starving little pregnant artist. Aspens one unlucky girl, the night she decides to lose her V card she gets pregnant, jezze. Pro girl can’t catch a break, all she wants to do is pursue he passions with her sister and go to college, a relationship and unexpected pregnancy is the last thing she needs.
So what does this author throw into this mix, a fake relationship, yesssss start the popcorn and buckle up because it’s a bumpy ride with these too. I’ll warn you though, unlike with Cole and Damon, Phoniex’s book is a slow burn, but like the other books in this series, this story ends with a cliffhanger that has me dying to see how she ends out Aspen and Phoniex’s story. Please give this series a shot, seriously, you will not be disappointed.

Ignite My Heart is the second book in the North Fork Series and is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that is heart breaking yet heart warming at the same time. I loved everything about this book from the amazing developed characters that make the story feel so real. This authors style of writing is simply amazing and her characters are real fully developed and relatable. I got lost in the pages and read it in one sitting. Blake and Morgan literally stole my heart with this story. Morgan is in desperate need of a Nanny for his nine year old daughter. Blake is in desperate need of work,her savings is dwindling down faster than she cares to admit and is desperate for a job. These two have great chemistry and attraction between. Sometimes love finds us in unexpected ways and times. Can these get the ending they both deserve? This story is packed with drama, family drama, love and so much more. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

With a custody battle on the horizon, Morgan needs for Blake to pretend to be his fiance. Opinion This book was intriguing. I was able to fly through it pretty quickly. Parts of the plot were a bit exaggerated but the overall story line was cute. It is part of a series worth checking out.

Born to Die is the second book in The McIntire County Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. In this book, we follow Cassy Rivers. We first got to know Cassy in the first book Atonement. Cassy is investigating a series of robberies that led to the death of a fellow officer. She finds herself having to work with FBI agent Boyce Hunt, the man who broke her heart. This is such an engaging story. There are plenty of twists and turns. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out the case. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Cassy. The interactions between her and Boyce draw you in. Another great mystery by Winter Austin.

After reading Cruel Start, I couldn’t wait to read this one! This book is quite different. In the prior book, it happens somewhat at breakneck speed. This one is more of a slow burn between the two of them. The only spicy things that happen are the arguments and disagreements they have. However, that makes sense as the two of them are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy as well as their own individual issues. Phoenix is not sure what is going on with his twin, Shane. He just knows that there is a distance between them that neither has experienced before. Is it Shane’s ex or something else? Not to mention that he is failing his classes and is in danger of losing his scholarship and his dream of playing football. In addition, his grandfather is acting strange as well. Aspen is dealing with her parents’ disapproval of her pregnancy and their pending divorce. In my opinion, there is more angst and back and forth between this couple than in any of the other books. Again, that would be realistic with this couple. They are facing some really harsh realities, and that makes this book really different than the previous books in addition to this book taking place in college and not high school.
Because the book is different doesn’t make it any less enjoyable than the previous ones. I actually liked that it focused more on them as individuals rather than as a couple. I got more insight into this couple as individuals rather than as a couple. I also discovered more about their parents and how that impacted their present and their future.
I highly recommend reading the prequel before this book as it gives you a good background of Phoenix and Aspen and how they find themselves in their current situation. The icing on the cake was the ending…OMG, what a freaking cliffhanger. Talk about a nailbiter….can’t wait to see what happens next for this couple!!!

After I read the last page of Royally Complicated I couldn’t wait to get into Russian and Royally Complicated I was just dying to know what happens with Lev ….

Daphne is Bridget’s best friend and the tension between her and Lev is tangible but they have this love hate relationship and that’s a recipe for serious fun and games ….Slso Lev has a serious problem with flip flops that had me in stitches on more than one occasion 🤣😉
Lev takes some time out and heads to Elysium and Daphne is running from something , she’s hiding from something and needs to lie low so she heads to Elysium not knowing Lev would be there and what follows is soooooooo what I was expecting but also not ! I know I sound confused but trust me on this …..
I cried , I fanned myself , I bit my nails and I cheered my 2 love birds on 😉 what a brilliant read with a few unexpected twists and turns that left me catching my breath WOW ! A beautiful HEA for 2 crazy and beautiful people 🥰
I love Gran , she was nanny to Fynix when he was small and Lev was raised next to him and that’s why they’re like brothers but now they’re grown up but Gran is still there and she still has purpose 😍she’s the kind of person you just want to be around and soend time with her she’s a wise and loving , love you Gran 🤗

5 Star’s Born to Die (The McIntire County Series Book 2) by Winter Austin
Born to Die is the second book in The McIntire County Series and follows from the first book Atonement but is a couple years out. Although this series can be read as standalones and each book is about a different set of characters, I would recommend reading this series in order as the characters overlap and you get to know the characters better us each book is just as good as the last. I literally read this in one afternoon because I got so caught up in the story, I couldn’t put it down. This is another intriguing Suspense Romance. This is Cassy and Boyce’s story. We met Cassy in the first book and we know she is Nic’s sister. Cassy has secrets from her past that left scars but what hurts the most is her heart and now its in jeopardy again as she’s been partnered up with Boyce the same man that broke her heart years ago. Boyce thought he was doing the right thing by walking away as he was doing it to save her from his mother who is behind his awful past. These two are teamed up to investigate a bunch of robberies that have taken place. Can she open her heart to him again? Can they move past their pasts ? I don’t want to give anything away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m ready for the next book in this series and look forward to many more books by this author.

I love a good mystery series, and this gave me everything I wanted and more. Winter Austin is a genius when it comes to writing mystery books, she pulls you into the story right from the very beginning and starts making you doubt every single character that you read about, wondering who the killer may be. This book was fantastic, in the fact that it had me guessing throughout the story who the suspects were, and questioning if the suspects could be involved in both the bank robberies, the murder of the police officer as well as the small-town robberies. I loved getting to know Cassie more as well as getting an inside look into the inner workings of Boyd’s mind. I was so happy to see that we get to continue the story of our two lovebirds from the first book in this series as well as meet some new characters that had not been introduced as of yet. The intensity of this storyline was amazing, I am so excited to get started on the next book and see what lies ahead for our characters that we have learned to love. After serving as a bodyguard for prominent CEOs and celebrities, Morgan now runs a national protective services business that hires and trains bodyguards. He employs a friend’s sister since he urgently needs a live-in nanny. He regrets that it is only temporary because his daughter adores her. Worse still, so is he.Blake is attempting to rebuild her life after losing her job, but it is challenging to find employment as a classics teacher and her savings are running out quickly.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.

Rogue Wolf is the third and final installment of the Protector Wolf Shifter Series by Lilliana Rose. It’s the exciting, action-packed conclusion of Tamaska and Kodiak. Vampires at the door and the pack of Wolf shifters wakened doesn’t really suggest a good time for a blooming romance.
Still plan to read this series in order or you’ll miss some of the most important dynamics. This one was the hardest for me because of some sheer pig-head decisions but I also couldn’t put it down and risk missing the end. Still a great series if you enjoy a good urban fantasy mixed with supernatural.

This is the second book in the North Fork series yet can easily be read as a standalone. A very well written contemporary romance with some added baby mama drama. This is Blake and Morgan’s story, and it is sweet, and they have great chemistry. All the characters are well written and mostly enjoyable. I was very easily drawn into this story and didn’t want to put it down till I was done. definitely recommend.

I enjoyed the myriad of supporting characters and the emotion behind the storyline. There was a lot of tension and misunderstandings, passion and insecurity, jealousies and drama.

When We Fell Again by Julie Archer. This is a second chance rock n roll romance. Its the story of Alex (Lex) who has been given the opportunity to be a tour manager for a rock group and she’s all excited about it until she finds out its her ex’s band. Jordan is in one of the most popular rock bands in the world and he is excited to go back on tour until he finds out Lex his ex is going to be their manager. As they become reacquainted feelings reemerge and Jordan is ready to be in a relationship again but Lex is very hesitant. She doesn’t want to get hurt again and she doesn’t know if she’s ready for this kind of life. That’s the trouble with second chances there are all the old insecurities and memories of all the bad. When Jordan’s past comes back to haunt him will it scare Lex off or will she stand by him. The is such a good second chance love story.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the dynamic between Blake and Morgan. There was a good plot and felt that all loose ends were tied up. I would definitely read more by this author. I liked the writing style.

SUPER CUTE! This book is a truly adorable YA romance between Mina and Wes. They went from grade school best friends, to something so much more than they expected. Can true love conquer all? Definitely a must read for all ages.

Atonement: The McIntire County Series by Winter Austin- 5 out of 5 stars
I laughed, cried, got angry, and fell in love with the folks of McIntire County! The author did an incredible job diving into the mind of someone affected by PTSD. Very well written. I loved the fact that the characters weren’t perfect and they had relatable emotional issues. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Liam and Ali didn’t have an easy life as children and now that they’re grown up he takes the chance to explore life and the world only to get blown u in a terrorist attack , believed to be dead and how do you walk away from something like workout scars ?!
Liam goes to spend time with Ali and her family and this is where his path crosses with Teresa who is licking her wounds and on the run so to speak but she grows on you so just be patient and reserve judgment all is not what it seems 🤫😉

I love the mystery of Liam. The back and forth between Liam and Theresa is very realistic and I love the ending. The way The Silent Woodsman transitions into The Guardsman is seamless. Almost like they are a part one and part two of a movie. I can’t wait for the next one!

Born to Die is the second intriguing book in The McIntire County series by Winter Austin. I am loving this series so far- only two books in and I am already anticipating what else is to come. This is another entirely engrossing romantic suspense that has all the clever, suspenseful, and gripping touches that I have come to expect from Ms. Austin. It follows on from the first book, Atonement, and even though the stories ‘follow’ different characters- there are overlapping/linking details that make this series even more intriguing- so I highly recommend reading the first book before embarking on this instalment. We met Casey Rivers in the first book, as she is the sister of the (then) FMC Nic (Nicolette) Rivers. Two years have passed since the events in Atonement and now Deputy Rivers has a string of robberies and the death of a colleague on her hands. Things take a bit of a complicated turn when the situation requires her to team up with an FBI Agent who just happens to be her ex. Mmmmm, awkward much. So get set, as things are about to get interesting… Bring on Book #3! Happy Reading…

This is the first book that I have read from two authors this year and it was amazing. I loved that I got to read both of the characters’ points of view. I fell in love with both of these characters right from the beginning. I could not put the book down until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing love story.
Mina was from the world side of the town so she got picked on a lot when she was child. She was getting so tired she was thinking about asking to leave school. Mina met a new boy named Wesley and they became so close so fast. She has a new friend but as luck would have it he leaves her two years later. Now Mina is in high school and she is now the queen bee. She has all the friends and also got a new boyfriend. Mina is on top of the world until she finds out that Wes is back. Will Mina and Wesley still have the love for one another or did time change them too much? Review by @heatherbass

This series, even though I’m only 2 books in, is quickly becoming my favorite series of this year to read. I do highly recommend that you read these books in order. There is a lot of context in Atonement that will help make this book much more understandable.
I love that I’m kept guessing the “whodunit” right up until the end! There are twists and turns that are unforeseen, which makes this story even more engaging. The character development is on point so much so that you might feel like you’re a part of the family.
I’m really looking forward to the next books in this series!!
