Love Bites More (The Darkness & Light Duology, and the Love Bites World) by TL Clark – Review by Angela Hayes

4.5 Stars

Love Bites More is the third instalment in the Darkness & Light Duology series and is a wonderful addition to the Love Bites World by T.L Clark. I fell in love with the ElineFae in the first two book- so to say I was so excited to find this third book had released is a bit of an understatement.
I loved rediscovering the ElineFae, and even though it had been a while since I read the original two books Ms. Clark refreshes our memory with a bit of an overview of what has happened previously- so this could definitely be read as a standalone, if you want. But having said that, I really recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one- because the original duology is truly exquisite, and you would definitely be missing out by not having read them first.
As with the other two books, this is an original story full of imagination and clever and intriguing touches. This instalment is a little different from the previous books, in that it is a MM menage romance (threesome)- but woven around it is the wonderful fantasy world we have come to know and love from the original two books. Cleverly crafted with paranormal details, witches, magick, dragons, mystery, suspense, violence, danger, kidnapping, longing, angst, action, adventure, and so much more that resulted in an enthralling read.
After reading the first two books and loving them as much as I did, I must admit that I had high expectations for this one- and I am sooo happy to say that Ms. Clark didn’t disappoint, she delivered everything that I was hoping for, and more.
This story reintroduces us to Elan and Arwyn whom we met in the original duology, as they are Pryderi’s friends. But joining them is Hassan- shaking things up and adding a large dose of spice to the mix. I loved that we also got to catch up with Shakira and Pryderi from Books one and two, too- making the story even more captivating, for me.
As expected, the characters are wonderfully developed individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. And I have to say, again, that I am blown away by all the unique touches that Ms. Clark has given her story and the characters- there is such a vast array of magical creatures who inhabited these books- they really made the story/series such an exciting and memorable experience. And then, there is the matter of the incredible world building skills that Ms. Clark demonstrates throughout this story/series. She really brought the whole thing to life using her rich imagination, and flare with words.
I really can’t wait to read whatever Ms. Clark writes next!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, T.L. Clark!

Cruel start was a short but truly amazing beginning for the Aspen and Phoenix story. This is the prequel to the next two both which will revolve around the two.😭😭😭 It makes me so sad to have to wait for the next 2 books in this series. I need to know what happens between them now 🤣😭. I’m also looking forward to seeing all the complex characters again and what role they play in these next books. Hopefully they help out and not make things worse 😂. I hope Aspen and Phoenix can work it out for the little one or ones lmao you know twins run in the family lmao

Cruel Start is part of Isla Vaughns Hidden Valley Elite series. Let me tell you what is cruel… me not realizing this was a prequel novella! As I finished I was internally screaming NOOOO that’s it?! It was, over too soon. Really though, I should have known better. However, this is just the prequel for the two part story of Aspen and Phoenix. When one moment of passion turns their worlds upside down, the pair need to figure out how to deal with the impending future. I am so excited to see where this couple goes and what happens between them. I’m also excited to hopefully catch some glimpses of our previous characters.

This was a great 5 star read. This author continues to pull me in with her writing. This is quickly becoming a favorite series of mine. This is 4.5 prequel that has me wanting the next two books now. Phoenix and Aspen have a chance encounter that turns into a steamy fling that could change both their lives forever. You could feel their chemistry coming off the pages. What will happen when Phoenix gets the news? What will they do?
I can’t wait to see where things go for these two. All of the characters added a great element to the story. There is adult content and we get a heck of a cliffhanger. 1-click and get started today on this series.

Love Bites More (The Darkness & Light Duology, and the Love Bites World) by TL Clark – Review by Jenni Bishop

Love Bites MoreLove Bites More by T.L. Clark

Love Bites More is part of TL Clarks the Darkness & Light Duology and the Love Bites world. Even though it is part of this world it is most definitely a stand-alone. She made sure to give a quick overview of things that have happened in the other books so as a reader we understand where they come from and who they are.

It is just as good as the other books, but it is very different to the other Love Bites books. Even though there are other things happening in their world this book is primarily about the relationship of these sexy but growly men with wants and needs.

It is a paranormal romance tale of a male triad. They now have to find a new norm in their relationship that was once only two but is now three. It is fund and a bit of an intense emotional rollercoaster as we watch these possessive males find each other and become fated mates.

In this intriguing read there is never a dull moment as we get to know and understand the complexities of these characters, their ways of living and their world.

TL made this an action-packed exciting read. Add in a little fun banter, a whole lot sexy, Elinafae, witches, Magick, dragons and you have everything to keep you entrenched in the story.

I look forward to seeing what comes next.

As with all stories in this series it can be read as a standalone but I prefer to read them all in order.

Heath and Grace was one of my favorites of this series and I think it had to do with Maggie.

I love how the women while sensitive and have insecurities are also strong willed and stick up for themselves. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold.

I’m so in love with this series and this author’s writing! This is the beginning of Phoenix and Aspen’s story, which is part of the Hidden Valley Elite Series. Personally, I can’t wait for the next book in the series to find out where their story goes from here. It is possible to read this amazing story as a standalone, but I’d definitely recommend reading the whole series as you get to learn more about Phoenix throughout his family’s books. Also, it’s an incredible young adult series that is enjoyable to read.

Cruel Start: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite)

Another Hidden Valley Elite Book I blew through because I couldn’t put it down. I am so completely and totally in love and obsessed with this series.

Phoenix is starting college in the fall with his brother Shane, they’re on the football team and life is good for them. Then there is a change for both of the boys and I hope it will be good for them both.

We meet Aspen and I was able to relate to her, trying to do the opposite of her parents and looking forward to college in the fall. Then she meets Phoenix.

I am impatiently waiting for the next book and don’t know if I will survive the wait.

I really enjoy reading Cori Cooper. She does an excellent job of telling the story and pulling you in. In this story it did take me a bit longer to get into but that is most likely because I’m a thirty year old woman and this story is based more on high school age kids. There is a lot at that age going on and I believe many young adults will love this story and Cori Cooper’s writing skills.

This book is an amusing quick read. It sets you up for the new series and gives you a glimpse of what is to come. It draws you in from the start and doesn’t let you go even when it finishes. This book has me wanting more and more. The writing grips your attention and the story line keeps you turning pages. This book also kinda piggy backs iff of the Elite Series by this author. It deals with the siblings that have been around but not prominent and now they are. If you like everything tied up with a pretty bow then this not the book to read at the moment. You will want to wait till you have time to read the next book as you are left with a cliffhanger. I am normally not a fan of those but this book just spoke to me and I can’t wait to see what happens. This is a must-read for anyone and especially those that have read the Elite Series.

Love Bites MoreLove Bites More by T.L. Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love Bites More is part of The Darkness and Light Duology, and the Love Bites World. Although it is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone. It is a M/M/M Paranormal romance story about fated mates that centers around the characters of Arwyn, Elan, and Hassan. Elan and Arwyn have been friends for a lifetime but have never taken their attraction for one another to the next level. Not until Hassan enters the picture and becomes attracted to Elan. Before long the passion and chemistry between the three men becomes undeniable and they are in a sizzling hot, threesome. This book was well written, had wonderful characters, and was entertaining. I loved that the author did not feel the need to hold back with the cuss words throughout which added an extra element to the book for me. This book had sizzling hot chemistry, passion, friends to lovers, fantasy, romance, paranormal, adventure, action, and magic.

I love it when authors do prequels to their next full story – it’s a great introduction to the characters and for me gives me a deeper understanding of them and also makes you want to read their full story because you need to know what is going to happen and I am so excited to read Aspen and Phoenix’s full story. This was a brilliant read and having met Phoenix in previous books I was already highly anticipating his story and this taster has made me want it even more. I really loved meeting Aspen in this book, she is a nice character who is dealing with lots of stuff at home. I thought her and Phoenix had this genuine connection and I am looking forward to seeing how this relationship develops over the next two books!

If you are following along, you will know that this book is a prequel and a CRUEL START to the story of Phoenix and Aspen! It is also part of the Hidden Valley Elite, which started following this group of people when they were in high school. Several have now moved onto college but their situations, drama and angst have followed them there.

These two characters have lived in the shadows of their siblings and even their neglectful parents. Phoenix and Aspen are risk takers and care little about the damage they may cause to themselves. However, a little surprise addition begins to change things, but we really don’t know just how much as this story does end on a cliffhanger!

Looking forward to more of their story in Cruel Hate.

Sleeping with the Enemy (Astoria Royals, #3)

4.5 Stars

Sleeping With the Enemy is the third book in the Astoria Royals Series by Deborah Garland. This story is every bit as wonderful as I had expected from Ms. Garland, as she certainly knows how to weave a riveting story. It is a gripping contemporary Mafia romance with a second chances element, forced marriage, action, violence, chemistry, steam, danger, drama, tension, mafia politics, intensity, emotion, and suspense. Also keep in mind that there are sensitive subject matters contained in the story (abuse, sexual assault etc) so if you have triggers make sure to read the TW before diving in.
OMG- I can’t believe that this is the third book in a series, and I have only just discovered it and am yet to read the other two books. I have read and adored many of Ms. Garland’s previous books, so I will definitely be going back to devour the other two books asap before continuing the rest of the series.
The story certainly starts off on a very intriguing note that hooked me right from the outset. I was soon engrossed in all the developments, glued to the pages as I followed along to see how everything would play out in the end. I have always said that one of the things that Ms. Garland does really well is that she’s able to get her reader to completely invest in her characters and their story, whilst also crafting her story with palpable tension, as well as plenty of emotion..
I can’t wait to explore the rest of the series now. Highly recommend this gripping story, especially if you love a great Mafia romance.
Happy reading…

Thank you, Deborah Garland!

Will they be torn further apart? Or is destiny creating their HEA?

NB This book is honestly a standalone novel. So, don’t worry if you’ve not read the award-winning Darkness & Light Duology. I mean, feel free to. You just don’t have to.

Definitely contains mature scenes. And frankly, some immature ones too.

There is some violence. And an elinefaenapping occurs. F-bombs and other swear words are scattered liberally throughout.

Magick, dragons and witches come as standard.

Still may not be suitable for vegetarians.

In this modernized tale of Eros and Psyche, we have Kay and Eros. Kay is your typical workaholic. She is constantly working and trying to be even more successful than she already is. In an attempt to try and take a break from everything, her sisters book her on an abduction vacation. Enter Eros. His sole focus is Kay, but she is nothing like he has seen before. His mission is to find anything he can on her to use against her, but things seem to take a turn possibly for the better. The longer they are around each other, the more they discover about each other and the line in the sand gets more and more blurry. Will these two end up together, or will everything blow up in their faces and all be for naught? I loved reading this book and the writer pulled me in from the very beginning. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love Deborah’s work and jumped to get Sleeping with the Enemy which is a deliciously dark Mafia romantic tale. It is a standalone Enemies to Lovers tale with a forced marriage theme. It is addictive and I stayed up late finish this book in one sitting because I had to know how it ended.
I love that the story is told in dual pov as it makes the story richer knowing what the other is thinking.
The story is intriguing and held my attention and I was often on the edge of my seat. There is plenty of passion and drama, lots of angst and Mafia politics that made for an exciting tale. I was totally addicted to this story.
There was so much going on whether in bed or in general. There are enemies, violence, drama, conflict, struggles, secrets, danger, lust, passion, and lots of emotions that go along with this saga. The sizzling chemistry between these two is palpable. Their relationship is explosive and tumultuous, hot and spicey in and out of the bedroom and add that to their daily lives and sparks fly! It is definitely.
It will keep you captivated and the pages turning. I have read a few of Deborah’s books and I really enjoy her writing style. The characters are strong, and the steamy romance is not smooth sailing it has complexities with twists and turns.
He is a possessive alpha and masterful manipulator to get what he wants. He is ruthless yet caring in his own way.
I highly recommend this book but be warned once you start you cannot stop.

Twisted Eros (Modern Mythica Book 1)Twisted Eros by Aria Skylar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kay is a business woman through and through, she is the rising star of her company and is involved in every decision be it small, or large and she is always thinking ahead, the only thing is that she is so good at her job, she feels that she can’t not be there, she has to be involved or everything will fall apart. This is where she struggles with her life, she is unable to switch off and her sisters are both annoyed by this and worried about her, so when they eventually persuade her to take a break, it isn’t one that is what you would call a stereotypical vacation, they have booked her an “abduction vacation” because that is the only way that she will rest, is if she is forced to do it.

When the morning comes for her vacation to start, she is extremely reluctant still and just wants to back out, however, her sisters are having none of it and they make her pack her suitcase and tell her the arrangements for the day, or at least as much as they can anyway, so when she hasn’t even left her apartment, she feels someone’s arm around her and before she can scream a hand is clamped over her mouth. The only thing she knows is that the person will be wearing a mask, will be tall and handsome and will be keeping her company for a whole month, so when they move to their secret hideaway, she is not allowed to see the journey, only feel the sensations of traveling and this is more disorienting than Kay expected and when she is allowed to open her eyes, it isn’t what she expected and neither is the man.

Eros is a man on a mission and his mission is Kay, but she isn’t what he thought at first glance and from the first interaction, he is thrown off balance and over the next couple of weeks, he intends to do the same to her, but when his perception of her shifts and she elves further into her darker desires, he is left reeling, but can this vacation give Kay the rest and relaxation she needs, or will the two twist each other around so much that they have no idea who they are anymore? This is a twisted romance in more ways than one and when hearts are on the line, feelings are raw and true intentions are hidden, inside a dark hideaway revealing more than either is willing to show, in this dark and sexy story.

This is a cute second-chance romance. Two college kids made a pact that they would marry each other if they weren’t married by age 40. Theresa has put her own spin on this trope, Phoebe has many fears regarding relationships due to her parents failed marriage and runs. There is great character development, the characters are relatable, and they bicker but still love each other hard. Recommend to anyone who enjoys second-chance romance stories.

This is the third book in the Brides and Sinners Astoria Royals series, focusing on Priscilla and Riordan. The pair have history leading to the opportunity for a second chance romance (I enjoy this trope when done well). Of course, things are never easy for couples like this.

There’s drama and a whole lot of danger thrown at the pair and it was a pleasure to join them in their story and navigate the twists and turns with them.

The characters were well-written and I enjoyed the author’s writing style – it flows well and paints vivid pictures of both the characters and scenery.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series, and the books I’ve missed.
