Breathless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 3) by KG Fletcher – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Breathless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #3)Breathless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Totally loved Breathless Love. This is based primarily in Tennessee when a farmer dreams of being a country star, and almost was until his band broke up. One night Hank decides to go to his country idol’s concert not knowing things would never be the same after meeting Ella Mae. Hank and Ella Mae quickly build a friendship and with her position in the music business things began to happen for him. However, he quickly realizes that the music isn’t the only magic that is sparking in his life – these friends quickly become more – lovers, confidants, and kindred souls. Ella Mae provides him with a realistic picture of what being a star looks like, but with fame comes so many other responsibilities. Is all of the love, music, and trauma worth the fame?
I loved this story so much. I don’t want to give too much away because it is just so heartbreakingly beautiful. First, the storyline – I loved the no-bullshit romance. The two were so honest and went for what they wanted. There was no back and forth, no telling each other their feelings and the drama that seems to come with romance books lately. Second, the characters were amazing. Hank, I can’t say enough about this man – he is what girls think of when they want a gentle, sexy cowboy. He is driven, honest, sweet, sexy, and straightforward in an unapologetic way, but in a gentlemanly way. Ella Mae, I also adored her. She is strong, passionate, straightforward, and independent, but a little broken. Her journey for herself is a great one. There will be other characters such as Ella Mae’s brother – it’s a love-hate relationship but so necessary for the plot. Last, but not least, it was face- paced. I was always interested and actually surprised I didn’t see the end coming till right before (it was nice just to be engaged in the book). Really recommend it for a great thought-provoking, encouraging life-love story. FYI read your trigger warnings.

Raising Elle (Sweet Valley Series Book 1) by S.E Reichert – Review by Heidi Sturgess

Raising ElleRaising Elle by S.E. Reichert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Domestic violence is so common and I think it’s been for years which is heartbreaking but these days woman speak out which they didn’t in the days past and I commend every brave woman who said NO MORE , left , battled and survived!

Elle arrived in Sweet Valley with next to no money and basically the clothes on her back and some really nasty bruises 🥲what better place to heal than home with your family and loved ones .,,,

Elle suffered at the hands of Aaron both physically and emotionally and those wounds take time to heal and I’m so grateful Elle had her family …

Blake and Elle share a history and he had the potential to be a brilliant vet but life happened and Blake hasn’t had it easy but one has to hit rock bottom before you can rise from the ashes …

I cried … ALOT … this story and it’s characters just played my heart strings like a harp I felt compassion , empathy , fear , anger , frustration , love and so many other things all I can say is have a huge box of tissues on hand and the biggest bar of chocolate for comfort when you read this !

I’m glad to see the suit is back 😉🔥

Grayson is no stranger to deceit and betrayal and it’s almost made him jaded but once bitten , twice shy , right ?! He’s a brilliant architect at that and all men have an Achilles heel ….

Natalie is a real family girl and she’s willing to “ degrade” herself to save her family and her legacy and that speaks volumes of her humble character already …

Grayson is connected with both Remington and Royce and their childhood experience , it’s his turn to do over secrets and connections

At times I really felt sorry for Natalie because Grayson was not be taken on without gloves , he’s a grumpy force to be reckoned with .,,

Together Natalie and Grayson kept me on the edge of my seat with hidden secrets and agendas and the intensity these 2 share 🫶🏼🔥

Holding my breath for the next instalment 😉

So it’s off with the suit and on with leather jacket and I’m still weak at the knees 🤣🙈

Royce is a volcanist and very much like the volcanoes he studies he’s unpredictable and volatile but there’s a healing balm out there and she’ll see the man that is hiding behind the facade ….

Michelle is a traveller and blogger and emotionally detached due to the demons that haunt her ,that gnaw away at her self confidence and self worth , she needs a man stronger than her demons ….

We met Michelle and Royce briefly in “ The Mastermind “ and I was eager to see how their story unfolded and date I say it but this book was more enjoyable than the first and that says alot !

It was fun travelling through Michelle’s eyes and it makes you itch to travel . I just want to thank NadiaHan for broaching the subject of ED , so many folks think it’s a “ teen thing” , Michelle is fortunate to have Royce on her side and his support and the way he build her just makes me love him even more ….

Strange and unexplainable things happen in Royce’s business and it impact on both him and Michelle and he’s determined to protect Michelle at any cost , this man really is a keeper

There was murder , revenge , dark twists and turns and of course there was spice and all things nice to add a well rounded effect , love you guys 🥰

There’s nothing that makes a girl weak at the knees like a man in a suit and this cover had me looking for a seat before I swooned 🙈🤣

Remington Starke is a man with a vision and he’s dangerous on so many levels , he’s a delectable speciMAN and he has a past , a frightful one at that big that just adds to his “ Yumminess” I know I’m such a weakling just to cave to these alphas ❣️🤣🙈

Audri is bright , creative and consumed by guilt and she’s got it bad for the man that is jut only her boss but her brother’s best friend and his past can threaten the both of them ….

This was a first read for me from this author and it was good ! It had mystery , suspense , thrills , chills and spice ! It was intense at times and other times there was just good old fashioned fun between friends 😉looking forward to the rest of the series 👍

Breathless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 3) by KG Fletcher

This is the third book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series and is a Contemporary Romance/Friends to Lover’s Romance that I absolutely loved reading . I’m a huge fan of not only this author but this series is hands down one of the best I’ve read in a while. Each book is about a different member of the Bennett family. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading this series in order as each book is just as good as the last and you get to know the characters better plus you get to fall in love with Langston Falls. This is Hank and Ella Mae’s story and let me tell you my emotions were all over the place. This one definitely pulled at my heart strings. Hank dreams of being a Country music star and it hasn’t been easy for him but a chance of a lifetime comes his way and he finds himself tagging along with Country Music Royalty on his latest tour. Ella Mae is a Nashville royalty songwriter. These two have great chemistry between them. Will this tour bring them together? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Wow I cannot say enough good things about this book! From the first moments where the characters were introduced, I was hooked! Celia and Kyle had the perfect whirlwind romance when they met and broke up when he had to go off to pursue his dream, baseball. Celia kept a secret from him that she did not carry lightly. A chance encounter brought them back into each other’s lives making this book get really suspenseful! I could not put this book down as I had to know what was to happen between them! I cannot wait to read more of these books!

I love sports romance books and this book was definitely hard to put down….I LOVED this story and I totally devoured every page. This story has everything that I love in a romance….second chances, emotions running high, endearing moments, hot spicy moments and secrets that you can live to regret.

Celia and Kyle had a summer love that was to last a lifetime years ago, but when circumstances change the course of their life path, it only ended up in heartbreak and things that are said that are unimaginable and hurtful. Years later, both Celia and Kyle reconnect at a mutual friends wedding… lots of initial emotions with hot and heavy moments lead to the spark that Celia and Kyle always had for each other….but what happens when Celia needs to come to terms with telling Kyle the truth on a secret that she has hidden for the past 8 years? Will Kyle be able to move past the hurt and secrets that Celia has?

This was a fantastic book and I already looking forward to the next book in this series. Highly recommended read!

The story is forced proximity with a touch of surprise set in Hollywood. Catrina is an ambitious lawyer and Nate is a movie star who crosses paths in an unlikely scenario! Cat is determined to make a partner and nothing will stand in her way, not even being tall, English, and handsome. The writing is good and easy to follow along, however, it did move a little too fast in the flow for me. Overall, if you are looking for a day read this one is for you!

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) by Liza Snow – Review by Micalah Weatherholtz

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Obedience centers around Cassandra, who has decided since she was young that she wants to be a silk aerialist, and attend circus college, due to seeing a performance when she was a child of a famous circus aerialist. Our other main character is that aerialist Cassandra saw when she was a child. Chandler definitely isn’t all that she expected as she discovers his “night life” in a club while attending school but it only causes her attraction to run deeper. I enjoyed their journey in finding their way to each other, the background story with Cassandra trying to prosecute her uncle, and would definitely look forward to reading more from this author. Well done!

Ways to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper – Review by Audrie Harrington

Ways to Improve BaileyWays to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a fun and quick read! The main characters are so relatable. Bailey is a university student and works at Froyo. She lives with Dayton, her older brother, because her parents moved away and they preferred to stay in their hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona. She has never left Arizona and wants to travel the world, but she is scared. Tanner is a flannel wearing, dorky math professor who comes into Froyo every single day. He always gets the same order, always leaves a big tip, and sits in the corner working on a computer. Bailey finds herself on a date with Tanner when he catches her phone, then she tries to get out of it. Her brother is challenging her to make improvements in her life and has made a list of ways to improve her, including to stop lying, so she goes on the date. It seems like Tanner is hiding something so she keeps hanging out with him trying to learn more about his family that he doesn’t like to talk about. Dayton and Bailey’s best friend, Marnie, are crushing on each other. Keith is the owner of Froyo and like an uncle to Bailey. In one chapter there were multiple pages talking about running out of El Pato sauce and I laughed out loud because we feel the same in our house when we think we are out! There are so many story lines happening in this book but they are so easy to follow and so much fun. I hope that there is more to come in this story or at least from the author!

Where Fire Meets Flame (Yours From The Ashes Book 1) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Heidi

Where Fire Meets Flame (Yours From the Ashes, #1)Where Fire Meets Flame by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hello the cover art is enough to make you combust 😉🔥

So I get why Riley has a jaded view on life and love after all she’s seen in her line of work as a PI and her mother leaving her and her dad when she was little shes on her latest case and as she’s about to leave armed with evidence she gets knocked out …..

In and out of consciousness and the smell of smoke lingering before Riley can actually panic her firefighter cones to get rescue , again ….

Tristan and Riley met by accident , literally , she was involved in an accident and he was on hand to help her

Tristan has a stage 5 clinger though and I think Shannon is a tad unstable and she just creeps me out and rightly so ! She does however add drama and suspense to the story

I just loved how Tristan watched over Riley the whole time and how protective he is , these 2 have some serious chemistry and left my kindle a little hot and bothered 😉

A quick hot read 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Walk Off (Ground Rule Book 1) by Bree Kraemer – Review by Cindy Mayberry

Walk OffWalk Off by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a romance of a different kind. Celia has a young daughter and her father Kyle has no clue. Knowing time was running out Celia had to come clean. Telling Kyle will be the hardest thing she has ever had to face. Next to breaking up with him. But she had her reasons and I understand them all too well. Kyle is a baseball player who has lost his first and only love. Eight years later both Kyle and Celia are face to face for the first time. Celia and Kyle may love each other in their hearts, but will Celia’s secret separate them?
What a strong independent female character Celia is. Kyle too is so strong in his convictions. This author has brought romance out in this story. Her wording is enough to keep you reading. I was caught up in this story before I ended the first chapter. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in this series.

Acting Counsel is the third book in the Kings of Screen Series and is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading this series in order as they are just as good as this one. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading there’s no putting it down until you’ve finished. Catrina and Nathan, she’s a lawyer whose new client turns out to be her one night stand. There’s rules you have to follow when you’re a lawyer and one is no sleeping with the clients. Catrina now is faced with keeping it professional. Nathan finds himself in a situation where he needs a new lawyer and once he realizes who she is he must keep his hands off. These two have great chemistry and he wants something real with her and she’s not sure she wants to open heart to a player. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Twisted Bond by Danielle Jacks – Review by Lisa Helmick

Twisted BondTwisted Bond by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved how this started and was curious to see where it would go. A lot about Rose and Titan was kept a secret and it leaked out a little at a time throughout the story. That definitely kept me turning pages and always wondering and they do have a twisted bond.

Rose is a good character. She has tenacity, grit and secrets. She doesn’t seem to have a lot of growth. She keeps doing a lot of the same actions throughout the story. Titan is also full of secrets and family obligations. He has his moments of clarity and I enjoy watching him trying to figure out Rose.

I felt there are a few loose ends that maybe could have been turned Into other stories Instead of just dropped. Towards the end a lot of things happen at a quick pace. Again I am not sure the necessity of a few of those options.

The secondary characters do invoke some interest(I liked their names and powers) but they are left behind like yesterdays laundry as the story moves forward.

Overall this is an good story that draws the reader in. I like the idea of the story but not a huge fan of the execution near the end. This is not my first book by this author nor will it be my last. I do like her characters and story ideas.

This was a good start to a new series! Fast paced but we get a lot of needed info of backstory on both main characters without it feeling rushed or that anything is left out either.
I love a good second chance romance and this has a twist to it also that is one I like also.
Celia has a great support system in her sister and best friends and when life decides to throw a huge curve ball her way she’s going to need them more than ever.
I did enjoy these 2, Kyle and Celia, they had great chemistry but they just went from 0-100 in a couple pages and while I know it is fiction it was super quick for me (thats just me though)

Great story and cannot wait to read more of this great group of people.

This story is a great forbidden romance book. Ad the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone however I think it is worth reading all of the books in the series. The characters in this book are great. They clearly have a strong connection from the start, but with so much to overcome you have to question if it will be enough. They v are v easy to engage with and I enjoyed getting to know them.
The overall story of this book was great. I wanted to see how everything would work out.  This book had left me excited to read the next book in the series.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. Despite that, I decided to give it a chance and delve into its pages. The story it presented was undeniably captivating, but it often got tangled up in excessive details of Shibari and sexual encounters. It was difficult to reconcile the characters’ deep intimacy with their underlying secrets, which constantly undermined the trust they claimed to have. However, amidst these complexities, the author’s vivid descriptions of the aerial routines were simply breathtaking, transporting me to a world where I could almost witness them firsthand.

Bree Kraemer’s Walk Off is a great romance read! I love the tale of a past love reconnected but with a twist. The characters are so realistic, and the situation that they are in is something that happens more often than we’d like to think about. The love that Kyle Dulanay has for Celia Mullen is so deep, I felt like I was a bystander watching their story unfold before my eyes. There are so many ups and downs, tears were definitely shed over the fear that Celia has in keeping her daughter close to her, as a mom this resonated with me so deeply. You’ll want to read this in one sitting, it was so hard to put down once I got started, I was invested in the lives of the characters and couldn’t wait to see what the outcome would be for our heroine Celia.

This book, though third in the series, reads well as a standalone. The author did a great job of engaging the reader with a story that you want to read in one sitting. It is perfect for a rainy day read to escape reality for a little while and delve into a romantic whirlwind. The characters are unique, and I love a strong female lead as Catrina is an attorney in this book. Though I love a graphically charged romance book just as much, it is nice to enjoy a steamy book that leaves a bit to the imagination as well. Well written and fun characters!

Some producers from Atlanta saw Becky on YouTube. Being the gentleman that he is, Walt Bennett volunteers to go with Becky to Atlanta. Walt has another motive though, Elyse the beautiful supervising producer.
In this story not only do we find Elyse and Walt connecting but we find out if a TV show is really what Becky wants to do with her life. As always, the author had me hooked right away and kept my attention with the strong characters and the scenery/locations. I recommend reading the first book so you get more background on the Bennett family’s life.

As these two find each other again, things happen that makes everyone realize how precious life can be.

This is the first book in The Bennetts of Langdon Falls series. The author did a great job of world building. So many times I could imagine myself actually being at the Bennett’s Farm. I highly recommend Obedience by Liza Snow! This book is X rated and only for adults. I absolutely loved all the characters and dynamics of the story. Even though the focus is the forbidden romance blossoming between Cassandra and Chandler the twists and turns and plot of the story were extremely refreshing. The main storyline is about Cassandra following her dream of being a silk aerialist for Cirque du Lys. She finally gets to train under her idol and mentor, Chandler. Chandler is her professor and mentor and should not blur the boundary between them. The book switches the viewpoint between Cassandra and Chandler perfectly. The passionate, steamy scenes in the book feel natural and I loved the BDSM aspects such as bondage. Get ready for an entertaining show at the circus!
