5 Stars Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2) by Landra Graf
Operation Escape is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series and is a Sci-Fi Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I pretty much read in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. I recommend reading the previous book if you haven’t already as it gives you a better understanding what is going on and you get to know the characters better plus who doesn’t love a great series. The author does a wonderful job of grabbing your attention keeping it till the end. The characters are easily connectable and fun. They bring the story to life in this fast paced story.i highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens when a simple mission on planet Earth is being held prisoner. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

The Innovator (WaterFyre Rising Book 3) by Nadia Han – Review by Jessica Stone
“The Innovater”, is book 3 of the WaterFyre Rising series and like this novels two predecessors, the author Nadia Han, knocked this one out of the ball park.
Natalie LaRue has recently moved to the states and taken a job way under her normal pay grade l in hopes of solving a mystery surrounding a property that her father purchased before his recent death. Grayson Wu is a top notch architect just trying to get a project of his off the ground and running but is having a hard time getting his hands on the means to. All the while dealing with his Uncle betraying his family in the worst possibly way and trying to heal his heart from the damage and distrust resulting from this. The last thing he needs is the infuriating Natalie taking up more space in his head, but she’s to distracting to not linger on.
I believe that this book could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the first two books before this too help you get the whole picture, each book builds a little more and you can tell that things are coming to a head soon.
I love the relationship, the angsty, cat and mouse, enemies to lovers feel to this book. Natalie is so strong and brave and proud and just wants answers. I admire the strength her character shows in this book. Grayson is also a strong character, his stubbornness frustrated me for a while but the healing that he goes through in this book and his growth is *chefs kiss* wonderful. Both of these characters are well rounded and made for each other. I feel like this author might be becoming a favorite of mine, I like the thought and effort put into her work, the world and character building is terrific. The slow burn of this series as it picks up steam is a wonderful change of pace.

Cyrus and Jace are two men in love, but who cannot be together, Jace has been exiled and forced to leave Las Vegas, or Sin City as it is more commonly known and Cyrus is feeling well and truly lost without him, but he has to keep up appearances within the celestial community and that includes keeping Jace a closely guarded secret, as well as his transgressions with him. One night, after he tries to continue his nocturnal searches, he comes home exhausted and to a dangerous sign, but things are about to get much worse for Cyrus when he is attacked by enemies whom he should be protected from and as they leave him for dead, an unlikely caretaker shows up, his angelic ex, who also happens to be someone who broke his heart in the past and has a hard time trusting.
While all this is happening, Jace is just trying to survive without Cyrus, so when he hears that the messenger is dead, he loses all hope and does the one thing he has been banned from doing, returning to Las Vegas, but when he gets there, he discovers that all is not lost and that Cyrus is not dead. Oh man I was in heaven finding yet another new author. As again I am reading out of order but I was not disappointed or out of sorts. I really enjoyed the world that this author has created and the characters are really good as well. The world is not your run of the mill typical sci-fi one and I was glad of that. I found that the chemistry between the characters was unique and as it built got really explosive. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series in the future. I just could not put this book down. The book had a well balanced adventure and drama mixed in with romance. It definitely is one of my favorite genres.

5 stars I love, love, love Via’s work. Via is known for writing steamy dark mafia romances and I have love each and every one of them. I jumped to grab a copy when I saw this new book was out. Consigliere’s Revenge is the third gripping book in the Sicilian Gods series. Make sure you read them in order or you will be missing out on all this dark and delectable goodness. Via does dark and dangerous so well that you are sad when the final page draws near. In the dark of the crime world these ruthless, dangerous and powerful men do not play around when their backs are up you can be sure that there will be retribution, retaliation and sweat, sweat revenge. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lover’s mafia romance. It is gritty, raw and brutal, savage and sinful, passionate and bloody, intense and violent. But once you are in their hearts there is nothing they will stop at to keep you safe. With heartache, action, twists and turns, secrets, lies, danger, scars, mistrust, enemies, crime lords and so much more there is something for everyone and to keep the pages turning and become lost in this extraordinary world. There are no spoilers here because you have to devour this tale and take it all in on your own. As usual I can’t wait for more!

This is the second book in a great sci-fi series and a great follow up to the first. I would highly recommend reading this series in order so you get a full appreciation of the overall story and chatacters. This book is just as good as the first and the characters were just as interesting and engaging. I loved the premise of this story. It was easy to become invested in what was happening and I was rooting for the chatacters the whole way through. This is an author that I am becoming more familiar with and I always enjoy the writing style she uses. Her books as well written, original and a pleasure to read. I would highly recommend them.

This is an author that I have read every book by her and loved each one. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into the story with ease. Her books are well written and hard to put down. This book is no different. It is the third book in this series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help your enjoyment of this author. The characters are strong, steamy and supportive of each other. They pull you into their world and keep you coming back for more. They have great growth and their chemistry is off the charts. This is a fast paced story that has a little bit of suspense added to the romance. I really enjoyed this story and found it easy to read. I highly recommend this book and this author. A must read!

Messenger, the sequel in the Star-Crossed Celestials Duet, follows Messenger Cyrus after his love Watcher Jace was exiled from their community. Heartbroken, Cyrus starts searching for Jace, but his search proves to be dangerous to him when dark forces intercept Cyrus. Hiding away, Jace hears of the events and thinks that Cyrus is dead. Jace decides to return to the community to find that Cyrus is a live and that there are plans to change the community, worse than ever before. Now, Cyrus and Jace must decide whether they should save each other or save the community. Which one will they choose? Find out in Messenger. The sequel greatly compliments the first in the series. The characters are still loveable and relatable with relatable feelings. The story’s evolution keeps the reader on the edge of their seat and mystery after mystery keeps the pages turning. The love between Cyrus and Jace is almost palpable through the pages. AL. Morrow does an amazing job of describing the world in a way that the reader feels as though they are there with the characters. If you are looking for a suspenseful romance with a fantasy element, look no further. Messenger will keep you hooked until the very end. Make sure to pick up a copy of Watcher, the first book in the series, for a more enjoyable experience with Messenger. Just as a warning, there is some content that may be sensitive to some readers. Such content is described in the Author’s Note. Overall, I love this duet.

A. L. Morrow has written a brilliant tale of Romeo and Juliet, a story of star-crossed lovers but in a celestial setting. This book kept me on a roller coaster of emotions, from sadness at a loss to joy for the lovers being reunited, but then distraught for everything they had yet to experience. I want to go back and read book 1 so that I can put together the pieces of their back story. This was an amazing read and I highly recommend it if you are a fan of a happily ever after story. What amazing characters Jace and Cyrus are, along with all of the other characters that we come across along this journey. @Brandy Rymer4/2023

Everyone expects retaliation from the Larussio Crime Family after the brutal attack by our rivals and kidnapping of our innocent cousin. The job for ensuring our retribution is well-thought-out, precise, and maintains our family’s position in the crime world falls to me, Lorenzo Larussio, Consigliere to the boss and underboss of our family. My mind is absorbed with nothing but that… Until the beautiful reporter who calls to my dark, sinister soul shows up at our casino, dressed to kill, leaving me unable to rid her from my mind. Izzy Arden’s article hits a little too close home, and it’s up to me to ensure our secrets remain buried like those of our dead and not inked all over the world for everyone to see. The fiery beauty is a force to be reckoned with, though, and not easily subdued. She fights for the truth no matter the danger, her emotional scars and mistrust pushing her to write about our most sacred traditions even knowing the threat it may bring. Our enemies see her as a way to get to me. They shouldn’t have come for her, though, because now they’ll see why rumored in the back-alley streets of Italy they whisper Cosa Nostra with fear. They will pay dearly for taking what does not belong to them, but will it cost me the one woman I’ve ever loved when she sees me for who I really am? Consigliere’s Revenge is the explosive third book in the Sicilian Gods series by Via Mari. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, mafia romance. You will love these novels where the passion is fiery, the loyalty is fierce, and the stakes are high. Each book is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after.
Via Mari is a contemporary romantic suspense author who likes to keep her readers on the edge of their seats one minute and fanning themselves as the heat rises in the next. Her book series feature the most handsome alpha billionaires, elite bodyguards, and powerful mafiosi. They all exemplify extreme romance with dominant males who will stop at nothing to protect and capture the hearts of the woman they love.

Watcher and messenger two beings from opposite sides that are always supposed to be enemies. Yet Jace and Cyrus feel a pull like no other and face the worst imaginable if they act upon it. love is not ready to be denied. The two are forced apart and their bond is put to the test and when one thinks the other is dead all bets are off.
This book continues to bring the reader into the imaginative world of the paranormal. No matter what side they are on Jace and Cyrus are good together. The two work hard to find their way and they will fight to keep their love. Emotions are strong in this book and it will pull on your heart. Their story is fast paced and there is a lot going on. I enjoyed seeing the two stand up and fight for what they want. The love between the two shines through in everything that they do. Both of these characters endeared themselves to this reader and I was quickly pulled into their story. This is an interesting take on the story of Romeo and Juliet. The author has created an engaging world with interesting characters and I am eager to see what will happen next.
The Innovator is the third book in the WaterFyre Rising series by Nadia Han. This contemporary romantic suspense can be read as a standalone, but I’d suggest reading the other books in the series as they show other aspects of the shared past of this group of male friends.
Starting in the prologue, we get a glimpse of Grayson’s past and how he feels after what happened to his friends and him when they were younger. This scene drew me into our main Hero’s life, allowing me to connect to him and to want to protect him. I loved that I got to see how his past kind of shaped his future and shaped him.
I love the strong, sexy, smart heroine, Natalie, who is bold enough to go up against Grayson. Will being stuck together change their minds? Can they get over despising each other long enough to explore their mutual attraction? And if they do, will it then be possible for them both to overcome their past in order to have a future together? Grayson and Natalie’s story definitely has passion, romance, friendship, danger, and suspense. You should definitely check this series out.

Make sure you read book one!!! We come back to our leading men, Jace and Cyrus. And the world’s are in turmoil. You have to like retellings to truly enjoy this. This conclusion didn’t disappoint and I am looking forward to getting more from this author! I am always a sucker for a retelling!
After reading the first book in this series, it leaves the reader hanging on what will happen with Jace and Cyrus’ relationship after Jace is exiled. Well as this book starts, Cyrus is on a mission to find Jace wherever he can think of in Las Vegas. He ends up finding something quite unexpected and gets attacked. Luckily a caretaker comes to Cyrus’ aid during his time. Word travels fast and Jace ends up hearing that Cyrus is dead. The unfortunate thing he comes back to is discover a more devious plan involving them. I very much enjoy the paranormal elements of this story interwoven with the R&J retelling background. If you enjoyed the first book, you will definitely enjoy this one as well!

Morrow – Review by Jennifer Ramos
Very creative twist on a Romeo and Juliet retelling. This is a MM romance and the 2nd (and final) book in the duology. Definitely read the 1st book before reading this one so you will understand what’s going on with Jace and Cyrus and everything they have to contend with. This book is filled with angels and demons and everything in between. Morrow has fantastic world building and I love the way they continue to develop the characters and plot line. Would highly recommend if MM, steamy romance, and great retellings are your thing!
This book is action packed and pretty sexy. It continues from Book 1, Watcher, so it is best to read that one first. However, I did not and still really enjoyed Jace and Cyrus’ conclusion! I can’t wait to go back and read book 1! And I am hoping there are more books that follow the other characters in this story, especially Hesper and those at the Ranch!
I liked this author’s writing style. It was easy to follow along in this fantasy-human world. There are several character types, Demons, Watchers, Messengers, and Humans. Being that this is the first book I have read in this series there may be more!
The romance in this story is MM. And definitely NSFW or young readers or those with sensitive reading styles. While it claims to be a Romeo and Juliet style star crossed love, I didn’t particularly sense that in this book, maybe if I had read book 1 first I would see that aspect more. Still really enjoyed this story.
Another amazing book from Isla Vaughn, putting Reily and Cole back at the spot where all begins for these two enemies and lovers to start their Senior Year battling to survive. But when the fire starts burning the desire does keep growing in Cole to find who Reily is. The funny thing that happens at that time is that their parents meet up and become very close to each other. I love this series where secret admires to enemies to lovers. I can’t wait to read the next book. Honesty I love the prequel because it helped me to see who they are and what will come of them.

It is January 1889 and Jeremy and Emma have just been working on a case which has hit them hard, but as they are trying to recover, they are hit with another which is equally harrowing, so they have to use their combined skills and hope that it is enough to keep them together through the hardship of the investigation, but they have the Pinkerton detectives helping out. As they delve deeper into the investigation and uncover the horrors within it, the dynamic duo are split apart being needed in two different teams and while Jeremy is working one case, Emma finds herself called upon by a trio of families whom she has helped in the past.
In a rapid change of travel plans, Emma reaches out to reassure her family what is happening so that they can keep in contact and not worry like they always do when she is out on her own and so, Emma heads out to familiar ground where she aids three families with a problematic history with one man at its centre. With time constraints and the need to maintain secrecy, Emma works together with the families to solve their predicament and stay safe all at the same time.
When these cases are finally concluding, the family are all reunited under one roof and more than happy to be there where they can catch up on the latest news on the cases in relative safety and comfort and with what has been happening, Jeremy and Emma need this all the more. However, the familial bliss is unexpectedly breached as someone tries their darndest to become its latest member, but will they be able to come between this tight knit group and why do these cases all seem to point to something, or someone from Emma’s past? This is another fast paced mystery where nothing is as it seems and danger lies around every corner, as suspicions rain and the phrase crawling out of the woodwork is bandied around like candy as bonds are tested and relationships stretched to breaking point throughout this addictive read.
Messenger is an incredible sequel, and it does not disappoint! I highly recommend reading Watcher, the first book in the series, just so you can get all of the wonderful backstory and learn about the characters. I think there would be some confusion if you skipped straight to the second book. The story of Jace and Cyrus is one full of paranormal romance, tension, and vengeance. You can feel the chemistry, love, heartbreak, and a full range of emotions as you learn more and more about them. Even as the odds stack against them, you never know what is going to happen. It is definitely a different twist on Romeo and Juliet, but this is one of my favorites so far! Will either of them get what they want or is it a fool’s errand? I definitely think you’ll enjoy this book if you like MM stories of the paranormal romance genre.
This is the first novella by Hadley Thorne that I have read. She didn’t disappoint with this one. I read this one in one sitting. It wasn’t very long either. This novella brought these two worlds together which was nice. Fae and vampire was a good suit for these characters. I want to read the rest of the novellas by her.

Book 2 of the Star-Crossed Celestials Duet and this definitely did not disappoint. I recommend reading book 1 first to know the beginning of Jace and Cyrus……and I just love them.
Forbidden love…Jace and Cyrus are separated…their future is uncertain. When Jace is accused he is totally exiled from the celestial community….meanwhile Cyrus tries to find Jace but trouble comes to Cyrus and he is left for dead. Jace is out coming for revenge….but will it be to late or will Jace and Cyrus be able to be together……
If you love MM Fantasy Romance with danger and action I highly recommend this series. Truly fantastic story!
I love this interesting take on Romeo and Juliet with this MM Romance….and as I started the pages I love that the author provided a “cast” to get to know whom each character represents. Watchers, demons, messengers and danger….I really loved this story.
War is stirring…watchers and demons vs the messengers but what happens with Jace whom is a watcher and Cyrus who is a messenger….sparks and sizzle but love is forbidden. Will Jace and Cyrus be able to overcome the danger that comes their way and their feelings for each other no waiver?
I highly recommend this book..this is a great fantasy and the story line is top notch. I am looking forward to diving into book 2 to see what happens next!!
I really enjoy this author. I actually enjoyed this book and found some of the topics in it refreshing. I get tired of the beautiful stories sometimes and appreciated how real this one was. Everyone chooses their destiny and path, what works for them as well as what they are capable of forgiving. That was something that even though I wasn’t a huge fan of Lauren, I appreciated the realness of this story.

Oh my goodness! This is a unique romance with a sexy little circus theme. The beginning scene with the description of him “making her his own butterfly,” was steamy and just invites you in for more. The story is good. I found the characters to be strong and written to bring you into the story. It’s not your typical romance. Now, hearing this in auditory takes it up a notch and it’s hot, sexy and gives the suspense a whole new feel. I loved the touch that the narrators gave it. It is fantastic in audible and by book.

Can I start by saying? UNBELIEVABLE! That is the only word for this story. Cassandra is young but her life experiences make her sound so much older. The time has come, she wants to make her dreams come true. What a battle she is about to enter. Chandler is very talented and is teaching students about silk aerialists for Cirque De Lys. While he did not want to be teaching, his father gave him no choice. Now that Cassandra shows promise Chandler is having second thoughts. Here you will find romance, suspense and some extremely hot scenes. No Spoilers in this review. The author who wrote this book is top notch! I found it hard to stop reading, as the story heated. Her wording builds a clear picture of all events in this story. Also I am pleased that I got the book in audible. I was able to sit back and listen, as I watched the story play in my mind. So worth every amount of time spent on this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this outstanding series.

I really loved this sci-fi romance. This is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series. The author does a fantastic job of bringing this story to life and I love the unquie take on the romance between the hero and heroine being similar to fated mates, however this bond isn’t neutral it was made by a experiment being performed on Markus. Neither he nor Sera want this bond. However when Sera’s uncle (the scientist who injected Markus with this curse) goes missing Markus sees this as the opportunity to perhaps get this bond removed. Pretty simple right? Oh how wrong they are. When they have to travel to Earth to find her uncle they are faced with a planet of people who are traitors, convicts, the lowest of the low. People who will stop at nothing to see Markus And Sera dead. However as dangerous as the situation is Markus and Sera need to work together, alongside these people of they are going to succeed. Add to this lies, secrets, danger, a bond neither of them want and a connection and an attraction neither of them can deny, this becomes one hell of a space ride. One you will definately not be able to put down.

This novel is well written. I have not read Romeo and Juliet (I know, leave me alone), but this love story is skillfully written and it is LGBTQ+ friendly. The storyline is similar to Romeo and Juliet, but the celestial twist kept me fully engaged. Each time I have attempted to read the true Shakespeare novel I have DNF’d it. This book I was not able to put down.
I did not read the first book of this series, but it is easy enough to put the pieces together if you start with this novel. I of course plan on going back and reading the first after finishing this one. The book was so good and I love the writing style of this author.
The characters and plot are well thought out. I enjoyed both Jace and Cyrus. I also enjoyed that there was more plot than erotica. These scenes were limited and the first one I came across was more than halfway through the book. I prefer more plot than erotica. It was very enjoyable and I highly recommend!

Cyrus is in turmoil now, his soul mate has been banished out of Sin City and tensions are rising with the Angel and Demon worlds, but also Cyrus is threatened to be punished as he protected the Demon Watcher, he loves by killing his own kind a messenger.
Jace has been banished by the Archangel, Astra to live in the dessert with all the other outcasts deemed to have done wrong in this world but Jace is still drawn to his lover, Cyrus and hopes one day he will be in his arms again.
As the tensions heat up, Xavier, Cyrus’s ex-boyfriend and head of the Army tries to protect him from the repercussions of the attack but one night the forces take matters into their own hands and use powerful magic on Cyrus and leave him almost dead. Xavier ceases the opportunity to look after Cyrus and try and rekindle the love he had before the betrayal Xavier did to stop Cyrus moving on.
Meanwhile, tensions are rising, and can Astra the Archangel reclaim Sin City and work in harmony with Humans, Demons and Angels alike?
This is the first book I have read in this series and although I pick up the story it may have helped if I had read the first book The Watcher which may have given a bit more context to some of the angst between the characters. Although saying that I thoroughly enjoyed the unique twist on Romeo and Juliet and being set in a world of Angels and Demons.
I have to say the interaction between Jace and Cyrus was sweet, and the chemistry slowly built as the characters for most of the book were tackling their own dark demons so to speak. The secondary characters were a great addition to the story, and I loved the sassy nature and character of Jace’s sister Caz and would like to see how her relationship moves forward.
This is not my normal genre and picked the book up as it looked an interesting twist on a classic story. The Story was well written and flowed through at a great pace. I would like to read more for this author going forward.
