What an introduction from a new to me author. I was intrigued by the description and decided to give it a try and I’m not regretting my decision.
You think the book is heading one way and it then takes a turn which I loved. Augustine and Dorian’s lives are changed in a split second and they have no idea the impact for quite some time.
This is definitely not like a book I have read before and I enjoyed that more than I expected to. Hope I get a chance to read more in the future.

Underboss’s Retaliation is the 2nd book in the Dark Mafia Romance series. I did not read the first book, and still enjoyed this one. I could tell it was an ongoing story, and there was references to previous events. However, the author provided enough detail that it wasn’t lacking. It is similar to other mafia romance books, but I really enjoyed it. The characters are well written, and their love and devotion to the Family is undeniable. It had a good balance of suspense and romance. Dominic is strong and loyal, but can be sweet under his terrifying outside. This is book 2 and continues with the Larussio family going up against the De Rosa family. This book picks up where book 1 ended. Even giving a glimpse into book 1 in the first few pages.
This time the story is primarily about Dominic and Emelia. Which they are from opposite families that are enemies. So the first few chapters kind of give that Romeo and Juliet vibe. I love how Emelia is shown to be stronger than thought to be!
Emelia and Dominic cross a line that can never be un-crossed and no matter what one of them would have to give up their family lineage if they wanted to be together. Emelia shows just how strong she is and Dominic shows her how far he will go to protect her.
I can’t wait to follow more of this family and see how this all plays out. I’m glad that each one is centered around a particular person.

This was a really good 4 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Jasmine was great, I really liked her. She is a strong woman who owns her own business with her best friend. This was a quick read that I found to be quite interesting. It really focused on the feelings between Dorian and Augustine…and there are a lot. Love, fear, angst, guilt…all those feelings are there. But, once they are all acted upon, will they be hurting others around them? Or continue hurting themselves by keeping them hidden? I found myself emotionally attached to their situation and felt the pain as all the secrets started to unravel. Overall, a good story that I enjoyed reading!
This was such a fun and unique book to read. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a title including snails and mud, but I was pleasantly surprised to read such a sweet and entertaining story. I loved how unique Rhiannon is and how her character continues to develop and grow as the story continued. Prince Emerys is seen as a delicate fellow, but he definitely blossoms during his marriage to Rhi and we start to see the strength in his character. I am always a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story and this one did not disappoint. It was a quick read, but definitely a well written one. I am excited to see more stories from the author.

I can’t stand snails, so, of course the title captured my imagination. An arranged marriage, and a vengeful, petty bride. The heroine (for that is what the bride grows into) reminds me of my own pettiness. Themes explored include twinship and kinship, along with kindness and solidarity. The author has quite skillfully trapped me within the web of her creation.

This book was not my usual fare. It delved into topics that I don’t necessarily avoid, but that I don’t go out of my way to seek out. Lately, I have been expanding what I am trying to read and boy am I glad that I did. This book is such a great blend of genres – it touches on the job of assassins, then it goes deep into romance and then touches into polyamory. I truly enjoyed this book because I definitely didn’t know what to expect so I had an empty mind. I truly enjoyed how this book really explored how one untruth can cause a massive ripple effect. This wasn’t the main focus of the book, but I saw how it really resonated throughout. Because of Dorian’s original lie the entire book had many twists and turns and many others were impacted. I love how there was a real reaction to the men and their indiscretion – if you can even call that it. It wasn’t a blow up, but rather it is what I would view as a real reaction – a request for space and time. I definitely recommend this book, especially for those who want a change of pace and a book that is guaranteed not to disappoint.
I really love finding new authors and also series. This is the first book I have read in this series although I know it is the second one by this author. I really like how the storyline is not predictable and keeps you on your toes. The interaction between the characters is great and how the story builds. I find it has a good mix of drama and romance. The sort of unexpected love mood really gives the edge to the book. I look forward to reading more from this author and the series.

It felt like it had been far too long since I had read a new book by this author so I was beyond excited to get my hands on this one. I knew from experience to set aside enough time to read this book in one sitting because I wouldn’t be able to put it down, which is exactly what happened! I loved the characters in this book. Dorian and Augustine were absolutely perfect together. They made the book so interesting. The overall premise of the book was fantastic as well. It was well written, exciting and just what I was looking for when I picked up this book. This author really has become one of my favourites and I cannot wait to read even more of her work.
This was an enjoyable and engaging MM romance which had me hooked from start to finish. The intriguing storyline and wonderful characters, in this fairly short read, made this a book that I had trouble putting down. Dorian and Augustine are brought together one night by an assassin who made a terrible mistake. As the men struggle in the aftermath, they begin to develop feelings for each other, however, they are both happily married and so decide to stay away from one another. Although they are both broken hearted they are determined to move on with their lives, after all they will never see each other again. Wrong, three years later and Dorian and Augustine are shocked when their wives become friends and the men are introduced. Of course they can’t acknowledge what they mean to each other, but they also can’t deny their feelings and now that they are in each other’s lives again, thanks to their wives, it’s even more difficult to ignore their connection. The descriptive narrative brought both the setting and characters vividly to life, and made me feel immersed in the story. I was kept happily turning the pages wondering how it was going to end, no spoilers, but I definitely recommend reading this page turner of a book.

This is a really good contemporary romance from an author who is new to me. This author usually writes paranormal romance so this was a first for them too, a new genre/trope. For a first go at writing something new and different, I can honestly say that the author has done a really good job and would do well to write more in this genre in addition to their usual. Dorian and Augustine are brought together as a result of an assassination attempt gone wrong. While helping Augustine to recover, a strong attachment is forged between the two men, however, both men are happily married to beautiful wives that they adore. So what do they do with the growing attraction they have to each other? To answer that question here would result in giving spoilers which I am not going to do. I wouldn’t want to spoil this story for another reader. I would encourage them to give this book a try and find the answer for themselves. In doing so you will find a well written story that flows well and keeps you engaged throughout. I would recommend this book.

What a wonderful story! The writing is smooth and moves along at a great pace. I was easily drawn into the story and characters. I eagerly looked forward to picking this up every night and diving back in to Jasmine’s life wondering what was going to happen next. All the characters are well done. I liked some and others I could hardly stand. Which is as it should be.
This is my first book by this author. I liked the writing story and how she moved the book along at a quick pace. I look forward to more from this author

A fun, comical Young Adult read. This YA opposites attract (historical-ish) romance will not disappoint. I really appreciated the characters and their dynamics. I currently read an enemies into lovers adult read and I truly appreciate this one quite a bit more. This was a quick easy read and one I certainly will share with my daughter. This is my first read by Tucker, and makes sense since this is her first book, but I will certainly be looking out for more from Tucker, hopefully in the near future.

This book is book two of the series. This book can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read any other books in the series before diving into this one and didn’t feel like I missed too much. I will be going back though because it was just that good.
Abi is working three jobs and is barely above water at this point. She doesn’t have time for anything let alone to find the man of her dreams. The reality tv ad might seem a little crazy but what does she have to lose at this point. Finn needs to clean up his image. What a better way then to show the world a dedicated husband. Finn isn’t happy about it but he doesn’t have much of a choice. That is until he meets Abi. Did they have to find the perfect girl for him? However, these two need to drop their walls or they may lose everything.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written. The characters are great. The banter is funny. I definitely recommend!

Reality tv in book form! This book is book two of the series and can be read as a standalone. The two people in our story are Abi and Finn. Abi is struggling making ends meet and finding a man. She finds an ad for a reality tv show and throws caution to the wind. Finn is a well known actor who needs to clean up his image. He decides the tv show might be exactly what his reputation needs. When they meet they find they are a match. This is a well written read and I really enjoyed this book.

I love a great short read. This had my attention from the very start! James has a secret, an arrangement. Jasmine thinks he’s full of crap. What she doesn’t know is that James will be someone she never thought he was capable of. This book has drama and betrayal but it also has romance and forgiveness. The characters are loveable but there’s characters that will irritate your soul. All characters can’t be great right? That’s what makes an amazing story! This was an enjoyable steamy romance read. I loved the characters. Each of them have a story which was interesting to uncover . I especially love Stella. She is a strong and feisty woman who won’t let anyone stop her dreams of being a fashion designer and she is prepared to do anything to make that happen. Even if it means becoming a nanny for her handsome stepbrother. Despite the attraction she feels she knows this is her one chance to make her dreams to come true. Sharing his nanny was a good read. I admit I’m not one who reads m/m books. I love books with heat and thought I’d give this book a shot. Charles, Alex and Jordan have been best friends for years. They always spend 1 month a year at the beach house where anything goes. This year, Charles finds out he has a 4 month old daughter and Stella is hired to be her nanny. While Stella cares for Gia, she is spending time with Jordan and Alex. Both really Seem to care for Stella. She has been dealt A horrible Hand and has been having a string of bad luck. This story kind of kind of felt like a modern Cinderella. We had the wicked stepmother and not only 1 prince, but 3. Stella is just trying to make her life work. It falls apart but she does falls into a dreamy situation. I found this to be an okay story. It’s very steamy. The story was good. I do love it when bad boys get their comeuppance and the good girl wins her dreams. Her struggle is real and the story does a wonderful job of showing it. It’s a good romance for those that love reverse harem romances.

This is a YA enemies to friends to what I can assume will eventually be lovers. The daughter of the mayor of a small town, 16 year old Rhiannon is to marry the sixth son of the King of the land. Prince Emerys is 17. Emerys sent to Lians to marry Rhiannon and to settle the debt that the people of Lians owe the kingdom. This is a very good read and I hope there is more, Rhia and Emerys have set out to make Lians a better place and have a good start. I really want to know what happens next. Loved this story.

Falling Home is a Hallmark Movie worthy story. Definitely a quick read. I love that it’s set during the holidays. Christmas & Love just go together. I’m a big believer in 2nd chances (if deserved). I really liked the lost love and finding it again aspect of the story. Ginny & Max are very lovable characters. Falling Home was the 1st title I’ve read from this author and I can’t wait to check the other books in this series and whatever else she has to offer.

This book was a good one. It was sweet and I liked the main characters Ginny and Max a lot. Second chance romance//holiday small town romances like this one are perfect for a feel good read and I enjoyed this one a lot. I just love how these characters are total opposite and not in the way we’re used to in a genre like this. The female isn’t your normal damsel in distress as she knows the lay of the land, literally. The fact that it’s not your normal “fairy tale” makes this an interesting story to keep up with. I don’t want to give too much away but it’s the best story I’ve read in a minute as it kept you guessing but in unexpected ways.
