Its set in a town called Buckeye Falls and its about Ginny and Max who were married but Ginny decided to leave when she couldn’t have her career and her marriage. She moved to New York and has moved on, she love her job and her life. When her dad falls ill she has to move back home to Buckeye Falls to help him with recovery. Max owns the town diner and has never gotten over Ginny. He still loves her dearly and wants her back. Once Ginny finds out Max has been spending time with her dad she feels those old feelings coming back. Will the two have a second chance at romance? Read this sweet, fun second chance romance that will make you want a Hallmark movie made out of it.

Augustine and Dorian are both married to wonderful women. When Dorian accidentally injured Augustine on assignment his guilt leads him to be in Augustine’s life where immediate attraction happens.
The premise of this story had sooo much potential for me. It just felt a tad rushed with some lacking detail to the emotions to pull you into the story.
This wasn’t my cup of tea but I do recommend it if this is your type of read

This sweet romance has all the feels. It is a realistic storyline with a best friend that might have been more of a frenemy all along and the boyfriend using Jasmine for her connections. It was a delightful, quick read. Sometimes a short, sweet romance is great between all the longer, darker stuff I read!

This book was not exactly what I expected. I found the premise very interesting. I loved Dorian’s job and how accepting his wife was. It is great to see that kind of support from a partner. I also thought that Augustine thought to seek counseling and asked his wife to go with him was important. This view of family is important and should be represented in popular media. I hope to read more from this author soon.

My Pearl Heart by J.N. Sheats is a short novella length contemporary romance with plenty of angst, drama, emotion, and chemistry. This follows Jasmine Hayes, a successful event planner, who we meet as she experiences the best kiss of her life. Passionate. Sizzling. Toe-curling perfection. And the man who bestows the kiss on her seems pretty perfect too. So, imagine her surprise and confusion when he then proceeds to announce his engagement to her best friend and business partner. Awkward much…. But things take an even more uncomfortable turn when Jasmine is tasked with planning their engagement party, AND wedding. But things may not be as they seem, and we get a front row seat to all the developments. Will Jasmine get the HEA she deserves? No spoilers from me…. You’ll have to read the story for yourself to discover what happens. I really wanted to love this story much more than I did, as I have loved the other books of Ms. Sheats that I have read before. It should have ticked all the boxes for me, but I just couldn’t connect with the characters, or their story. I spent much of the story completely frustrated with the characters and wanted to shake them so so much. I really felt for Jasmine and what happened, and even after the revelation, I couldn’t seem to push past my initial impression. When I read a great book, I love to invest in the characters and the outcome of their stories- but that failed to happen for me here. But, having loved Ms. Sheats other books, I have decided to revisit this one again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way- or to see if perhaps I was just having an “off” reading day when I read this. Abi is working three jobs and has no time for a life let alone a social life, so when her best friend and sister try to sell her the idea of a reality TV show she is hesitant at best. Is this the only way she is going to meet anyone in her current life and will he become Mr Right.
Finn has yet again caused his agent worries regarding his latest episode, so they strong arm him into reinvesting his image and going on the new reality TV show, all he has to do is playing the doting husband for three months and that’s it all done, can he really do this.
This is the first time I have read anything from this author and I really enjoyed this light hearted story. The characters Finn and Abi were so suited to each other, and the chemistry jumped off the page the minute they were together. Although at the beginning Finn had his doubts and was very offish with her they still developed a comfortable dialogue and interaction.
The story was unique and a page turner and I could not get enough of the story, the story flowed beautifully and really opened up these beautiful characters to make us invested in the relationship and willing them on in the end. I can’t wait to read more books by this wonderful author.

While completing an assignment, Dorian accidentally injuries another person. Wanting to ensure that the other person is okay, he disguised himself as a physical therapist to check on the man named Augustine. From the first meeting, Dorian has an attraction to the other man but tries to ignore the feeling mostly because he is married and tells himself that is it because he misses his wife.
The more time they spend together, the growing their feelings become.
The title and premise is what caught my attention. I don’t read a lot of M x M stories because to me, it can be difficult to find good ones. This story was short but it had an emotional impact on me. In a way I feel it was beautifully written and I was curious on how the story would play out. On how Augustine would react if he ever found out the truth about Dorian and how they met.
I actually enjoyed The Taste of Light better than the previous book in this series. The author wrote a redemption piece for Pedro. He definitely ended up the villain in the previous book. Again the tale comes together beautifully. Forbidden Fruit, one he can’t have. Why do authors suck me in with that narrative? Illegal fall for it everytime. Anne decides to help her brother and sister in law out by spreading the news to the neighbors on how to combat the Phylloxera. When she comes across an estate that’s beautiful but the crops have been ravaged but Phylloxera. She ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time and ends up on an adventure. Of not only self discovery but of her heart as well. Pedro was ready to strike a deal with the king to marry the princess. Until his past came back to haunt him. While on the run for being accused of an attempt on the King’s life. Trying to clear his name as well as protect the beautiful woman by his side becomes a bigger task and adventure than he realized. Her life has been threatened because of him. She’s the sister of the man he hates for stealing Julia. Can’t be coincidence, could it? Sounds more like Karma to me. What he doesn’t expect is to lose control. Anne has the power to bring him to his knees, and he can’t let that happen. What happens between Anne and Pedro? Does Pedro make everything right? The growth of Pedro’s character in this book is leaps and bounds. I didn’t care for him prior to reading this book, but now I have a soft spot. If you enjoy a romance adventure this book is for you. And you don’t necessarily have to read the previous book. It works very well as a standalone novel.

The True Purpose of Vines was different from something I usually read. Yes the romance aspect pulls me towards it but it’s still different. It gave me Walk in the Clouds vibes. Different scenario but the vineyard was still damaged. In this case it was by Phylloxera vs a fire. I liked it. Sometimes different is good, and this case it was. The author wrote a beautiful story based in Portugal across a few of the country’s vineyards. Griffin has become the owner of Boa Vista, he needs to travel into the country to get it right. Before leaving he makes an arrangement to become Mr.Croft’s partner as well as an arranged marriage with his daughter. Sounded like a great plan, until the vineyard’s changed him. Julia runs Vesuvio in place of her late husband. Doing everything she can to keep Tony’s future afloat. What those around her don’t realize is it’s her doing everything vs a man. Women during that time didn’t do manual labor, that was left to the men of the household. When she comes into contact with an English stranger things begin to change. Pedro has wanted Julia for 10 years. Now that she’s available he intends on making her his. One thing he didn’t realize, she doesn’t want him. Not like that. They were good friends growing up and that’s how she wants to keep it. The tension between these 3 characters is palpable for different reasons. A triangle of sorts. The author navigated beautifully. Who ends up with Julia? Does Phylloxera destroy all their crops? Is there a way to stop it? Those are just some of the questions the author makes you ask yourself while reading this story. It’s written like it should be told like a tale, or legend for that matter. Which gives it a different depth that I liked.
I think I may have fallen in love with Buckeye Falls while reading this book. The idea of cold does nothing for me but thus is definitely a town I could see myself spending summer months in and maybe a quick trip at Christmas for the Jubilee.
Growing up in a large metro area I have never understood the appeal of the hustle and bustle and I still don’t get it. There is something refreshing about a small town and Buckeye Falls definitely falls into that category.
This was a great second chance romance, Max and Ginny are so good together even when they aren’t necessarily together and oh my even if Harold is closer to may age, how adorable is he? Oh and Mona too.
This is the second book I have had the pleasure to read by this author recently, and I’m definitely becoming a fan.

Not only does Ginny’s relationship with her dad pull at my heart strings, Max is such a loveable character. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait for more!

Falling Home is one of the cutest books I have read in a while (and I love that it is a clean romance). It is the first book in the Buckeye Falls series, and I am so excited to see there will be a 2nd book. At the end of the book, I was hoping CeCe would get her own story, and then there it was- a sneak peak at the 2nd book. This book is an adorable story with a happily ever after. It takes place in a small town in Ohio, and gives a second chance at love for main characters Max and Ginny. I loved that the story had lingering feelings and confusion for both characters, so it was not one sided. Max is a total sweetheart and anyone could fall in love with him. Ginny is a woman determined to not follow in her mother’s footsteps, to the point that she may find herself there anyway. The supporting characters are wonderful, and I would love for Harold to get his own story as well. Highly recommend and look forward to book two.

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked both of these characters although Finn frustrated me at times with his stubbornness. Abi is in a bind trying to help her sister, when an opportunity comes her way. She decides to do a reality show where she ends up marrying Finn. Finn is not happy about the situation and tries to keep Abi at arms length. However, she is testing him at every turn. I loved her feistiness and that she would challenge him. He definitely needed it. And I loved his friends, they added a great element to the story. The term of endearment that Finn used was so sweet. Will Abi get through Finns tough walls and get a HEA? Will she be able to help her sister? The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. All the characters were so loveable. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

This is a really well-written book. Wonderful characters and a good plot.

This was my first book by the author, but it definitely won’t be the last! This story has everything, action, humor, drama, romance, tension, and redemption all rolled into one amazing story. The author’s vivid descriptions of the scenery added to the beautiful romance she weaved together. She foreshadowed Pedro and Anna’s love story with the medieval love story of Dom Pedro and Ines de Castro, which just added to the intense suspension of their love story. You really get a sense of the characters and want to see them get their happily ever after. This is absolutely a must read if you are a lover of historical romance.

Redemption is the name of the game and Pedro came to play! In book one I despised Pedro. When starting book two, I did not think I would have any other feelings for him. Abi applies and is selected for a reality tv show where she will marry a stranger for 3 months. She walks into her wedding where she meets her soon to be husband, Finn, a playboy actor who is set on changing his image and is not looking for another girl who wants him for material possessions. The two have some trials and errors but soon realize they actually like, perhaps love each other. This was a good contemporary story about strangers over coming dating after marrying. Abi was a great, selfless character who comes with a side of sass. Finn is untrusting but slowly opens up to Abi’s kindness. We follow them on their reality show life and see if all the tasks they are thrown into will allow them to continue on as husband and wife after the 3 month contract. Overall great read and fun take on a modern romance.

The author does a great job at developing a storyline with characters who are easy to root for. I was able to imagine watching the scenes play out before me as if it were actually on tv. The romance and twists along the way made this book a quick read. The author knows how to keep the reader entertained and intrigued.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The beginning caught me off guard and the rest of the story took me by surprise as well. There were some parts that were predictable but overall it was a charming story and I found myself at the end wishing that I still had more pages to read. I would like to know more about all the characters in their future lives and see how things turn out, but until then I will reminisce on this story and the main character Jasmine’s tenacity and resolve.

The Taste of Light is the second book in The Winemakers series. Redemption and a chance at love are the topics of this book. Pedro, whom I did not like) in book one pulls at the heartstrings in this book. I did not want to like him but fell for him anyways. When he meets the beautiful light that is Anne, we start to see him for himself. The story is set in a beautiful location and fills my need for a historical fiction story with romance. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I am really hooked after this book. I love seeing characters evolve or prove me wrong about my initial impression of them. Pedro did all of that and more. Swoon-worthy story leaving me wanting more. I look forward to the next book in this lovely series.

This short, easy read draws you in immediately. The instant attraction between “Jack” and “Nolan”/Isaac makes this story. This hot and steamy story will leave you wanting more; I can’t wait for the rest of the story!
The author has an engaging writing style and the beginning of the development of these characters is strong. After reading the first generation Hawke series, I can’t wait for the continued development of the next generation and this prequel was a great start.

This is my second book I have read by Libby Kay. So far I have liked the books. The storyline and characters are well written about and thought of. I felt like some part of the story was missing or was missing some details, other then that I really enjoyed this book. I will continue to read this authors books.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters had really good chemistry and I liked the plot line. I really like books told in dual POV especially from the male character’s perspective. The growth the characters go through independently as well as with one another was well written. I would read more by this author.

The book was a quick read. It was very funny and I found myself laughing out loud. The very first couple of paragraphs it had me wanting to read more. I don’t think I wanted to put the book down unless I really had too.
Tenley and Teagan are both podcast hosts. Tenley doesn’t think she wants to fall in love. She considers the logic of everything. Teagan thinks of himself as the “Love Guru” and cant stand anyone who doesn’t see it.
So Teagan invites Tenley on a couples retreat in Hawaii, hes buying. If she falls in love, Teagan wins, and if she doesn’t, she wins and gets 10k. Of course Tenley is interested in a free tropical vacation and the “guarantee” of ten thousand dollars, and off they go.
Along the way they find out it is an entire trip built around couples in love, so they pretend. They discover an attraction to one another that neither one of them expected. There is alot of great characters in the book.

Falling Home by Libby Kay is a small-town second-chance romance story. Ginny is back in Buckeye Falls to help her father recover from surgery. While she is there she is roped into helping with the Christmas Jubilee and her ex-husband, Max is her planning partner. I really enjoyed this story. Max and Ginny are awesome and I love the small-town Christmas feel of it all. Libby Kay is a wonderful writer that sets the scene beautifully and makes you fall in love with these characters. This book is like a comfort. It makes you feel warm and content. It is the perfect Christmas romance read.

Dominic Larussio is one bad underboss. He is known to be cruel and to make sure his family is safe. Being so ruthless he has more than he can handle when he meets the beautiful Emelia. She is off limits as she is the daughter of a rival crime family. Emelia is not only beautiful but she has got to be one of the strongest women I have read about in a long time. This story could be a standalone, but I feel you should read the series in order. The author of this book has written one of the most intense stories ever. The story is fast paced and non stop action. The characters are strong and independent for their mafia families. Many feelings will be brought out when you read this book. Be sure to have tissue, chocolate and something to drink as you will not be putting this on down until THE END.

This book is the 2nd book in the Kings Of Screen series but can be read as a standalone. I was unaware of the fact that there had been a previous book in the series before I read this and can say that I did not feel that I was missing any information needed to understand and enjoy this book. It’s set around 4 actor friends and each guy gets his own book, so although there are recurring characters it can be easily read on its own. In this book we get the story of Irish actor Finn McCarthy, forced by his agent to enter ‘Married Blind’ a reality TV series where he meets his bride at the wedding. His bride is Abi Johnson, who is working 3 jobs to pay her sister’s medical bills. Finn assumes she must be a gold digger to take part in such a programme and is resolved to have as little to do with her as possible. Due to the constant filming they are forced together more than he would like, particularly as the more time they spend together, the more he realises just how perfect she is for him. I really enjoyed reading Finn and Abi’s story. Their forced proximity results in some hilarious encounters between the two that I really enjoyed reading. Finn’s sense of humour provides some really entertaining reading. The storyline flows very well and had me pulled in from the very beginning and not wanting to put this book down. Definitely recommend.

Reader’s Thoughts: “Slip into this enchanting small town and stay awhile! You might just fall in love…” I did exactly that reading Falling Home! I was in love with Ginny and Max from the very beginning, rooting for them the entire time. Max loved his diner, had the most amazing cooking abilities, and sure could win a girl over with cheese…..yes cheese! Those enchiladas and grilled cheese had me wishing Max was in MY kitchen. And that red dress…I could only imagine how gorgeous Ginny was when she stepped into it. Makes my heart melt.
This second chance at romance, Christmas miracle was the perfect wrap up to the holidays for me. Libby Kay sure knows how to write, leaving no stone upturned. The story line was seamless, keeping the reader interested and wanting more, no questions unanswered. The characters were lovable, relatable, and down to earth. The story was predictable but did not deter me from continuing on. I can’t wait to see what else Libby Kay has in store for her readers.

I’m a wine lover and enjoyed this novel about Portugal and wine making. Throw in some romance and it’s a great story. I’ve never been to Portugal, but this makes me want to travel there! The real history woven into the story helps bring it to life. The culture clash brought the enemies-to-lovers deeper into complex characters that you fall in love with. The next book will be a wonderful read!
