My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jasmine thought she had it all, a successful business with her best friend, a boyfriend that could be more, and a decent life. That was until she was kissed by a tall, dark stranger in her best friend’s kitchen. The stranger turned out to be her best friend’s finance. Despite her requests, the stranger now known as James, continues to flirt with Jasmine. James and Jasmine continue to grow closer while Jasmine plans James’ wedding to her best friend. Then Jasmine finds out the truth behind their sudden engagement and wedding. Even worse, Jasmine finds that her best friend has betrayed her in more than one way.
As Jasmine’s life is imploding, the only person that seems to support her is the one person she can’t have, James.

This sweet romance has all the feels. It is a realistic storyline with a best friend that might have been more of a frenemy all along and the boyfriend using Jasmine for her connections. It was a delightful, quick read. Sometimes a short, sweet romance is great between all the longer, darker stuff I read!
