I loved this book so much. I fell for the main characters Ginny and Max pretty much straight away but I must admit Max wormed his way into my heart first. The story starts out with Ginny returning home to care for her Dad when he needs to have hip surgery but she isn’t looking forward to it because her ex husband is there. It is a visit that she knows will come filled with so many memories. She is also really uneasy when she first gets home to find out that her dad still has a lot to do with Max. Meanwhile her pending visit has thrown Max for a loop as well. As soon as you meet him it’s obvious that in his heart he is still in love with Ginny. I truly couldn’t put this book down because I just had to keep reading to find out what would happen. The book is wonderfully written by a creative author who now definitely has a fan in me.

This was my first book by G.K. Brady and I’m not one for hockey, but this was a good book. I had to keep reading to find out what Paige was going to do. I love the way the characters developed in this story. The author really kept you instead in the story by the way she wrote the world around it. Everything going on around them it was fait that finally kicked in. Beckett had his world turned upside down and Paige was there to pick up the pieces. When Paige thought, her world was coming to an end Beckett was there. I will get the rest of the books to this series to keep reading about the romances that the author puts in front of us.

I loved this book from the beginning to the end. I cannot wait to read more of this story. This story is filled with love and laughter and pulled on my heartstrings so much. I could totally relate to leaving your hometown and returning due to a family illness. I experienced that with my own mother. I however did not have a former flame to worry about falling back in love with. Thank goodness. Seriously, this is a wonderfully written story and I highly recommend reading it especially during the holiday season. I would love to see this picked up by Hallmark and turned into one of their holiday movies. I think it would be a hit.

This book made my heart swell even though I am such a Grinch! It is the perfect book for second chances, especially right around Christmas. The characters are lovable, the story is addicting, and you can’t help but love all of the romance! This was an easy read and I highly recommend it for the holidays.

I absolutely loved this second-chance romance. Max and Gin are so made for each other. They fell apart and didn’t really divorce for the right reasons. Ginny came home for her dad’s hip surgery and life changed from there. Oh, you must read this book. The characters are entertaining and feel so very real. They feel like the town I spent my high school years in. Such a well-written book, you could feel their struggles. Love is hard and they have to work to get back to it. Well-written, clean, and entertaining to boot, it sure makes for one of the best romances to read for the holidays. I give it a heartwarming 5 out of. Loved it and recommend it all the romance lovers out there. Definitely a GAC or Hallmark worthy. I can’t say enough. I will be reading more from this author.

I loved this story! Ginny left Buckeye Falls in a rush for her dream job and left Max broken hearted his dream diner. She returns home for an extended visit during Christmas to help her dad through a surgery and hopes to not run into Max or get brought into the small town gossip that is Buckeye Falls. Fortunately for us, the two meet up rather quickly upon her return and with the unwanted help of the locals, Max and Ginny begin to mend what was broken. This was such a cute book with plenty of fantastic characters. The author was able to give us so many emotions and made me want to get to know the town and all its people. Perfect read for the Christmas season!

Born Dominic Larussio, people call me merciless and cruel. As underboss to the savage Italian Crime Family, it is my job to make sure our enemies suffer in the most brutal of ways.
Emelia, our rival’s daughter, was a surprise, a precious flower too delicate to leave behind in a bloodthirsty attack. The minute she gazed at me with those deep Jade eyes, her destiny in the brutal world of mafia evil was never going to be the same.
My responsibility should be easy. Get the information we need or turn her over to the boss and wipe her from my mind.
But the beautiful hellcat has surprises of her own…
When she finds out what I’ve done, it alters the course of everything and sets us on a deadly game to maintain power over the criminal underground.
When our families learn the truth and the last hand has been played, it’s up to me to ensure I win the prize or lose her forever in the fight of my life.
UnderBoss’s Retaliation is the explosive second book in the Sicilian Gods series by Via Mari. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, Dark Mafia Protector Romance. 16-year-old, Rhia Caddell, doesn’t know what’s worse—arranged marriages or high finance.
Now she’s stuck with both when her desperate father agrees to marry her to the oh-so-dainty Prince of Wales in an attempt at royal tax negotiations. As a farmer, Rhia prefers toiling in the earth over romance. Life in a fiefdom requires muscle, and what good is a man who can’t outlift her or bring a belligerent steer to the ground?
But now, the pressure has fallen onto her to whoo (or intimidate) her new, royal husband into erasing her village’s debt before the king’s final deadline comes due. Problem is, the prince has been given the same task—to sway his new wife, the mayor’s daughter, into forking over the gold and finally earning his father’s approval.
For Rhia, losing their new, delicate game would mean turning over the only life and home she’s ever known to the king. Winning, though, could mean giving up the fragile prince she’s tried so hard, and failed, not to love.

This is book two in the series and does well as a stand alone book. I was hooked on the action and drama from the first page. The detailed plot is intense with twists and turns you don’t see coming. The characters were fleshed out and complex, adding to the puzzle in the story. Once I started reading this fast-paced tale, I couldn’t put it down! Highly recommended!

The Taste of Light is the second book in The Winemakers series by Giovanna Siniscalchi. It is an historical women’s fiction story with romance, emotion, drama, tragedy, heartache, quirky and complex characters, and a sprinkle of humour to balance the darker tones of the story. As with the first book, the author expertly weaves a tale that transported me through time and made me feel like I was right there experiencing the story right alongside the characters. I was completely immersed in this well-woven story that’s textured with rich details and descriptions, cultural elements, chemistry, real history, and much more Well worth the read. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the series holds. Happy Reading!

I am not sure where to begin with this book because so much happened. It is amazing and really well written. Everything is in the details. There are so many twists and turns in this book that once you think you figured things out, plot twist, and you are back to square one. This book kept me on the edge of my seat constantly turning pages to see what was going to happen next. The suspense in this book is a slow burn that build throughout the book. This book has so many things going for it that you don’t miss the graphic scenes or foul language, which are normally on my must read lists. I was able to keep a steady pace reading this book. I was able to get sucked into the story line and wasn’t able to stop reading until I was done. This is the second book in the series and while it can be read as a stand a lone, I would highly recommend reading the first book in the series. It will allow you to be able to keep up with characters in the book faster. This can be done without reading the previous book but it will take a few chapters to really understand what is going on. If you do go in without reading the first book in the series, don’t worry the character development and the way the author goes in depth will bring you up to speed. I just recommend it because everything just builds with the characters. If you are looking for a fast paced suspenseful read, I highly suggest this book. Reviewed by: @bbohls View all my reviews

Paige and Beckett met, briefly, in college and had a real pull towards each other. Before anything could come of it, Beckett was drafted into the NHL and Paige ended up being wowed by an older man and getting married.
Beckett realized his dream and then proceeded to become the bad boy of hockey, with excellent plays and wins, hard partying ways and lots and lots of women he wasn’t interested in keeping around. He did, however, create a kids hockey camp, a restaurant and more and was very proud of the people he helped succeed through them. Paige pursued her dreams of flipping and designing, selling, and eventually pursuing building new houses, but her husband has seemed less interested in coming home to spend time with her in between business trips and the passion is lacking.
After the final straw of Beckett getting into trouble he can’t get himself out of, he finds himself back in town selling off all of the high end things he acquired through his career in order to pay off the people he owed money to. It turns out without all of the drugs and women, he is a pretty solid guy. When he meets Paige again, he makes a less than stellar first impression.
Eventually, he realizes they’ve met in the past and build a beautiful friendship. In the course of life, things change and they begin to have feelings for one another but never act on them – too afraid to ruin a beautiful friendship. Will they take a chance together? Is there a happily ever after for Andy and Beckett? This is a well written book with very likable characters that keep you invested.

Book 2 of The Winemaker Series, this one was just as much of an emotional historical romance as Book 1, The True Purpose of Vines. There are so many feelings in the story from romance to heartbreak to the power of redemption. I found the characters to be so fascinating that I was hooked on the story upon starting it. This is not the story I normally get into but it truly had me engaged. The facts on Portugal, London Society and other historical items were fascinating and had you wanting to dive down the rabbit hole to learn more. It’s a very well written story that is truly a must read. Very well-done, author! I would give it more than 5 stars if I were allowed to.

Beckett has the reputation of the bad boy of hockey but when he is linked to drug’s everything goes away overnight. His endorsements, his career and then his money have vanished, he is broke and broken, so the only thing he can do to save himself is sell his house.
Paige is a real estate agent tasked to helping Beckett sell his house, but she herself is having issues with a divorce and can she really be bothered to be charmed by an ex-hockey player, but as they start to get to know each other, things start to change and her feelings for Beckett start surfing.
This is a great story of strength and rediscovery; the story introduces two broken people and with a budding friendship along the way discovers that they aren’t as broken as they thought they were. Paige is trapped in a marriage, trying desperately to hang onto anything in the end it is just better to cut the tie, causing her to re-evaluate what she truly needs and wants. With Beckett it is a discovery that all his life he has had people telling him “Yes” and when he finds the one true person who cares enough to say “no” to him he starts to look closely at the person he has become and decides he does not like that person very much.
So as the story entwines both these characters you discover a blossoming romance and respect for each other. I can’t wait to read the next boo in this series.

Love Tools (Bluestone Series Book 1) by Isobel Reed – Review by Jessica Stone
The quintessential love story, this book was a fast an fun read.
Lily, trying to escape her boring, listless life and dead end job in London, moves to a small town in Montana after inheriting a Hardware store from a father she’s never known.
Jake, a longtime friend of Lily’s fathers, is immediately intrigued with lily upon meeting her shortly after she arrived, he’s bemused by her sailors mouth and posh accent, but even more so taken by her beauty. Known as the town playboy, he’s ready to give up his ways and settle down with lily, he knows she’s the one for him. The only problem is getting to know lily and convincing her that he’s no longer that man.
This book was fun, it’s very fast pace, which I loved, the characters have a wonderfully witty dialogue, and though the book felt fast paced the relationship built between the fmc and mmc was anything but. The romance was slow and sweet, drawn out just perfectly. I’m a sucker for a headstrong female lead, but even more i can’t help but getting sucked in by a male lead who acknowledges that female lead’s abilities, and powerful traits.
All and all a wonderful book, definitely worth the read, not my usual type but wonderful nonetheless, superb writing and story telling from this author, can’t wait to read more from them!

My name is Giovanna Siniscalchi, and I have two passions: History and Romance. My goal as a writer is to transport readers to Portugal, where they can watch the sunset through majestic umbrella pines, taste bold wines, and sway to the sound of a Fado. I research every detail of my novels, hoping to make you treasure my grandparents’ country as I do. I grew up reading sweeping romances like Gone With The Wind and Count of Monte Cristo. What I love most about reading a novel is the sensation of having experienced something special. My goal is to recreate this feeling. You won’t find instant love in my books. My characters need to grow and overcome their flaws before they can experience true romance. I have a loving husband, who still is my hero and two amazing kids.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I was not disappointed. I love, LOVE, mafia Romance books. I’m a big fan of contemporary romance books and with this being a mafia one, I was in heaven. I was on the edge the entire time reading it. I had a hard time putting this book down long enough to go to work and bed. I’m excited to read the next book in this series.

Beckett is the ultimate bad boy, if it can be done he’s probably done it. Paige is the sweet, introverted, do everything by the book good girl. They knew each other in college and even though their lives took different paths they are ultimately led back to one another. Beckett’s career is on the rocks, and Paige’s marriage is on equally rocky ground. Can Beckett redeem himself, save his career, and earn the love of someone who he probably isn’t worthy of? Can Paige let her guard down and trust someone to not hurt her? This enemies-to-lovers book is a must read!

She is Tenley Shay, the voice behind TJ ON PAR, a podcast for Practical Adult Relationships, who spends her days touting her disapproval of love and the practicality of remaining a single-bell for life. When I, as my Love Guru persona, publish an article about spending a week at a couple’s retreat at my favorite Hawaiian resort, she’s quick to pass on her cynicism. He invited Tenley to retreat and if he could not get to falling in love with him . He would donate to her podcast. I can’t wait to read more from this author. <br />

Wow…where to start with this review. This was a great 5 star read. This was my first read from this author and I was pulled right in. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I will warn that there are some things that are meant for 18+ readers.
Beast (Adrik) as he is called due to his face being horribly scarred is a member of the mob. He is trying to make a life for himself so that he can help his younger brother who is still stuck at home with their dad. When he is given the job to protect Annika things get interesting. I loved Annika, she saw him for his true self and I loved it. Will Beast let his walls down and let Annika in? Can he keep her safe?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. We get suspense, steamy moments, scary moments, teary eyed moments and so much more. This book can be read as a stand alone. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I can’t wait to read more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
This book follows the story of Lily and Jake. Lily is a woman who is lost and trying to find her passion in this book. Leaving a world that she is used to and traveling to a new place for a fresh start. While discovering what she wants and needs out of her life she meets a man. The man is named Jake. Jake works hard and enjoys a more casual lifestyle than Lily. After an interesting introduction and a new friendship, they meet again.
What happens when the girl who only chooses the wrong types of guys meets the guy who’s never had a long meaningful relationship? What skeletons will be found in both of their closets? Can a misunderstanding tear apart this fragile relationship?
Read this amazing book to find out what happens with Lily and Jake. Amazing character development and a few twists and turns. Very hard book to put down once you have started.

4.2/5 Stars This was my first book by the author and in the series. I wasn’t lost at all reading this book which I really liked. I also liked how straightforward the storyline is. The beginning of the book is enough to pull you in but it doesn’t beat around the bush with action. I’m so glad I was able to add this to my read list for this year!

I wasn’t sure what to expect since this was written by a fairly new author and I’m so relieved I wasn’t disappointed and I’m looking to reading more by her in the future.
So much is packed into a short time, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Definitely a lot of laughs and there may have been some tears shed too. Lily goes through so much from the moment we meet her and it seems that Jake was there at the right time to help Lily while she in turn helps him in return.
I seem to find a supporting character that stands out to me, this time I have two. Alice and Sam are awesome sisters to Lily and Jake and I wish everyone had someone like them in their lives.
I’m looking forward to keeping with with Ms. Read and reading her books as her writing evolves.

Hands down one of the funniest books I have read this year. Packed full of adventure and the budding friendship that grows is fantastic. This book is FULL of awesome minor characters as well. I really hope there is a spin off on this and they delve into the other couples and continue on with new characters to make Kamana Wanayala a thriving business again. Absolutely recommend this story!!

This is a peculiar tale that somewhat reminded me of Alice in Wonderland with a sci-fi twist. Isaac begrudgingly ends up on the adventure of a lifetime, meeting strange creatures and facing impending doom across different dimensions. The question becomes can he survive long enough to see his friend make it back home and keep his sanity in tact?
