Robbie is faced with the task of helping Annie and Cat run a public song writing contest. A challenge that he is up for as far as working with Annie because Robbie thinks they will become romantically involved. On the other hand, the thought of working with Cat terrifies him. Annie is on the verge of relaunching her singing career after taking time off to raise her son. She has been raising her eight-year-old son alone since her ex-lover/manager fled the country nine years ago. Suddenly her ex is back and wants joint custody of their son.
The author has done a wonderful job of portraying the hard work, dedication, and determination that goes into having a successful music career. It is like having a behind the scenes look at the music industry and experiencing the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into running a successful music business. The characters were a blend of personalities that somehow worked together and were relatable. Some moments were tense, some moments were emotional, and some moments left you singing along to the tune you could not help but sing inside your head. An enjoyable read.

She has such a vivid and abundant imagination, which she uses to weave wonderfully dynamic stories, bringing us something new, each and every time. She seems to have a limitless well of imagination and inspiration just waiting for her to release into the world for us to enjoy. Ms. Valkyrie never ceases to amaze me with her highly original storylines that all manage to have their own identity, but also capture her unique touches that add a special quality to all her work. This is another cleverly woven paranormal MM romance, with second chances, vampires, wolf shifters, action, mysteriousness, agendas, chemistry, family, hope, murder, a sinister foe, emotion, humour, fun, banter, and even a haunted house. The story is set on Halloween, which adds an element of mysteriousness to the story. “Every ten years, the gods choose a paranormal being who has been unjustly killed and offers them a second chance at life. But this second chance comes with a catch, as set out by the rules imposed by the Gods. 1. You have 3 days to choose a mate. 2. You cannot use your powers to directly influence your potential mate. 3.You can only choose one person….If the potential mate rejects you then you go back to purgatory. 4. You must reveal the truth of the challenge to your potential mate.” Easy peasy, right? Well not really when you are ‘dropped off’ in the middle of nowhere with the clock ticking on your second chance. No one wants to be flung back into purgatory…. Will Quinnlan find his mate in time? Or will circumstances force Quinn to put his second chance at risk? Revenge Honeymoon is a super fun RomCom that literally had me laughing so hard in parts I couldn’t breathe. I absolutely loved reading this book and got a big kick out these two and all the crazy things they got into. Ruby was left at the altar so what does her wonder friend do , she comes up with a crazy plan to help soothe her broken heart and keep the non refundable cruise the couple was supposed to go on. Get ready for quite the crazy laugh out loud adventure these two are to take us on. I loved everything about this book from the characters to the storyline that flowed. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Its definitely worth the read and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I am a sucker for a great vampire book and when I noticed that this one came out, I immediately had to add this to my list of books to read. I was FLOORED at the way the authors wrote and the story that was unfolding for the main character. The premise of this book was not one that I had not heard of in other stories, and I was very interested. I devoured this book super quick and was excited and loved this book. It is getting added to my list of books that I will go back and reread when I cannot find another book that I want to start. I cannot wait to read more books by this author!

I found this story to be a short and redeeming story of second chance love. It is nice to see a story like this in the paranormal world. The writing is quite thoughtful. The characters are well-developed and I found they paired up well. Overall, I really enjoyed the story.

I was so excited when I saw Naomi had a new book out and couldn’t wait to get started. The Final Bite is a paranormal fantasy romance story. Her stories just keep getting better and better and like I say with each book this is my favourite so far.
Naomi’s is a talented writer where her word skills, along with her wonderful characters that she brings to life are original and delightful. Her attention to details and world building is richly vivid and easily imagined. I love that you never know what you are going to get from Naomi and her out of the norm storytelling.
I read this in one sitting as it was so good and I just could not put it down. I can’t wait to see where Naomi takes us next.

I LOVED every minute of this book! I was sucked in from the start and couldn’t leave it alone until I consumed its entirety! The chemistry between Eve and Devlin was off the charts, and all the twists and turns and unexpected things that happened kept the book exciting! This was a really good read! I liked how well the story flowed, and how everything came together. It was very well written, I thought the imagery used was very vivid. I really liked the characters. The author really brought them to life. I had some issues with the beginning, it was a little rough to start but I’m glad I stuck it out and finished as the ending is definitely worth it. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

This book kinda started slow for me. I pulled it out at work during a slow period, and at first I couldn’t really get into it. And then it sucked me in! So if you find yourselves in the review section for this book cause you’re second guessing, I’m telling you- keep going. This book sucked me in so hard and fast! It’s the perfect book to read in the evening with a cup of tea or cocoa. The ending absolutely killed me! It’s got that perfect mix of romance and adventure, I loved it so much!
Jim Shomos is a first time author for me, but the story sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. From the name of the book, More Text Than Sex, I was expecting a slightly shallow, fluffier piece; what I got was so much more! There are so many wonderfully realistic and well-developed characters that I couldn’t help but cry when things were going poorly and cheer when things went well. Not only were the characters deep, there was so much to the storyline. Although there is a lot of information to this book, it is easy to follow, with great world building. There is music, dancing, sex, family, friendship, and so much more. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a good book full of humor, wit, and lots of emotions.

Revenge Honeymoon is a fun Rom Com that will have you laughing. It reminded me a bit of the movie Like Father with some of the situations and shenanigans these two get up to. This tale has all the feels and I enjoyed the wit and banter.
After she’s left at the altar, Ruby ends up on her Caribbean “honeymoon” cruise with her maid-of-honour and bestie Emily and the adventure begins. Unfortunately, happily married couples on their honeymoon are the last thing she wants to see but sometimes there is more than the eye sees.
Somewhere between trying to make her bestie happy, hoping not to be caught and de-boated and her attraction to someone out of her league Emily finds herself in some crazy places.
Grab a drink and settle in to enjoy a few hours of reading this delightful story.
This is a wonderful book. I was taken on an adventure with this author’s exceptional ability to tell a great story. This story was full of action, suspense, magic, some steamy moments and really great characters. I was drawn into a fantastical world of realms and creatures and an entertaining story line. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next book in this series. I am so glad I took on a chance on this book, this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

This contemporary romance was a fun and easy read. While the synopsis was intriguing the cover is what really drew me into this story instantly. This romantic comedy was full of love, loss, friendship, revenge and so much more. While this is the first book I have read by this author I will definitely be looking for more. The characters were both funny and amazing, the plot was original, interesting, and had lots of humor and drama. But overall this story was amazing as a whole. So if you’re looking for a fun new story to read then make sure to pick up this one today.

This book had it all! I couldn’t wait to read this from the title alone! It exceeded all my expectations. Filled with Love, Laughter, Drama, Revenge, and Friendship. I really appreciated the Friendship between Ruby and Emily. This was an easy quick read with lots of drama that kept the story going, while building up some amazing characters. Highly recommended for anyone looking to read a contemporary comedic romance.
More Text Than Sex by Jim Shomos. This was a really good contemporary romance. It’s the story of Annie who is working for a struggling music company so she and her co worker Cat come up with an idea for a song writing contest. To allow them to hold the contest the boss makes them work with Robbie who is a marketing guy with the company. Annie is going thru a through divorce along with a bad custody battle for her son so she is throwing her self into this contest. Annie is also a singer but while married to her abusive ex, he didn’t allow her to pursue that avenue. Cat is a rough around the edges kind of gal and she scares Robbie to death. Robbie is excited about this contest because he has the biggest crush on Annie and thinks working with her on this contest he will win her over. This is a slow burn romance and it is great. The characters feel like your friends by the time you are finished and you are rooting for them all.

Loved this! Emily’s best friend, Ruby, is left at the alter on her wedding day. Emily and Ruby are now off on Ruby’s would be newly married couples honeymoon cruise and Emily is set on making her bestie enjoy herself as much as possible – including pose as her new wife. Emily and Ruby become fast friends with the dreamy photographer, Max and shenanigans ensue.
The premise was great and my favourite thing was the friendship between Emily and Ruby. The details of the cruise were spot on, felt like I was on the ship with them. The tension between Emily and Max was satisfying and the pacing was perfect.
I was hooked as soon as I started readying. Such an enjoyable read!

I loved this book. Ruby and Em are my kind of people. When you are jilted at the altar, take honeymoon. Even if it’s a honeymoon couple cruise, you know there will be a hot single guy. Tada, the photographer, Max, was a hot guy that mowed Em over right from the start (Quite literally). This is a funny rom-com that will have you crying and laughing through their misadventures. You might even find yourself relating to some of their troubles. Heavens, I did. A fun, contemporary read with drama and a few twists and some unforgettable characters make this a book that you just can’t pass up. I’ll be putting this one on my shelf to reread and share. A new author to me. I hope to read more.
If I could go back, I would have read these in order, but only because I would love to have had more of those dark and intense details of her time in captivity. Now I’m just determined to go back and read more about the characters stories. However, Renee and Declan’s story can certainly be read as standalone. I love the realness of this author’s writing and her ability to create frustratingly authentic characters. Is Declan the perfect protector? Not really, but that’s HIM. He does everything in his power to keep Renee safe though, even if he is human and makes some mistakes. Does Renee react how I think I would react to healing from such a trauma? No, but she was authentic and believable and true to her own character. Sometimes readers forget that authors don’t always create the story, but the characters do, and these characters wrote a beautiful one. Great read!

This one was a little disappointing as the synopsis sounded so good but did not deliver. I am all for a close girl friendship and I loved the idea of the two girls going on the honeymoon cruise after Ruby’s fiance left her. I was not too fond of the constant comparison to Ruby and the little pity parties Emily constantly had and then Ruby going back and forth half the time about getting back or not with her ex. Emily was too much in her head and lacked confidence, which bothered me. It became so much of the story that I kept rolling my eyes. The cruise aspect was a lot of fun, I have never been on a cruise so it was fun to read about what that could be like. I also did not like how much she was obsessed with Max at first it was very insta-love for me and I hated how quickly he jumped to I love you. His character was okay for me, he is sweet but i didnt understand him well. This was a few days worth of time and they immediately fall in love when the barely know each other??? Not realistic for me and I did not see what there was to love yet. The potential for the relationship was strong but just needed more than just sexual tension to get me to that level. I also really did not understand the need for the girls to be pretending to be lesbians. Ruby just kind of sprung that on Emily at one point and it didn’t make sense because, in the beginning, they tell the cruise director the situation, and it’s not a big deal that they are not a couple. I did not like the lying to Max and they clearly didn’t discuss it ahead of time so it was sloppy and just annoying to me that they came up with this story but then did not intend on playing it out and were just deceiving a bunch of strangers for no reason and then lying to the only friend they make the whole trip. The drama with the director was kind of fun for a little flare but it was over the top as well. I think this story has a lot of potentials but definitely could have been better. There are so many ways to write this kind of story and this just wasn’t the best one. It was a fun quick read overall but not my favorite.

This book had it all drama, laughter, and certainly a lot of love! I really enjoyed this adventure, everything felt right and fell into place perfectly as I read. Definitely a perfect read any day of the year!
Personally I really connected with Emily. Trying to be the perfect best friend, and has her own stuff going on. Her personality reminded me of myself. Always feeling second best in life was a great comparison to my own life! I enjoyed the random circumstances that occurred, and when you plan something, something else happens instead! The book had a lot of heart all the way through. And you cannot deny the love of a best friend. Defiantly was felt strongly with Emily and Ruby. I loved the author’s writing style. The reading was light and heartfelt. A great joy to read. Author was great at descriptions as well! Loved it!
Could not get enough of this must read book and author. Certainly will be reading more by this author as I just really loved and enjoyed this one! Highly recommend this must read book and author hands down!
Revenge Honeymoon by K.J. Gillenwater is such a fun read. This contemporary romance had me hooked right from the moment I read the title. And even if the title hadn’t won me over instantly, the blurb certainly would have sealed the deal. This is a romantic comedy about love, loss, friendship, a honeymoon cruise, a little revenge, a fake relationship (with a difference), chemistry, insta-love, angst, drama, humour, antics, and finding love unexpectedly. How to make the best out of a bad situation, and maybe strike at a chance for a little revenge in the process. When her best friend is left at the altar, Emily wants to cheer her up and suggests they take the honeymoon cruise together instead of letting it go to waste. Only problem is that the cruise is only for newlyweds…… but they soon decide on a solution- taking the cruise by posing as a couple. Easy right? But what happens when Emily meets Mr. Right? Yep, you guessed- you’re in for an entertaining read- now let all the mayhem, antics, and fun begin…. Happy Reading…

This is a quick read about finding love in the last place you would look for it. Pippa has left an abusive relationship to start over. She takes a chance and lives on the edge one night but that one night will change her life forever. Diesel is the man Pippa takes a chance with and thankfully he is the kind of man you want in your life.
There is a lot of telling in this book and not enough feeling for me. I did not feel the spark between the two characters and their story came off dry for me. The story felt more like a summary instead of a novella. There was not a lot of character depth, and I did not feel pulled into their story. Along with their romance there is also some danger thrown in.

Frenemies to HEA I really enjoyed this contemporary romance. It’s the first book I have read from this author and her writing style is engaging and easy to read. Devlin is a great character and I loved his banter with Eve and the chemistry that built around them. Told in dual POV this forbidden office romance creates steam. There’s a few surprising twists along the way that made for a thoroughly entertaining read.

K. J. Gillenwater Gillenwater has a B.A. in English and Spanish from Valparaiso University and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara. She worked as a Russian linguist in the U.S. Navy, spending time at the National Security Agency doing secret things. After six years of service, she ended up as a technical writer in the software industry.
She has lived all over the U.S. and currently resides in Wyoming with her family where she writes government proposals and squeezes in fiction writing when she can.
In the winter she likes to ski and snowshoe; in the summer she likes to garden with her husband, take walks with her dogs, and go exploring in the mountains.
I had a difficult time getting started with this book, but it was worth sticking with it. The dynamics between all the characters was great from the get go. Love that I got to experience some frustration and drama between the different characters personalities as they each are trying to navigate their way through the music industry. I enjoyed that we got all three perspectives throughout this book.

This was my first time reading anything by EG Manetti, and this book is their first time writing fantasy! While the author’s scifi background is definitely noticeable, they did great creating a fantasy story. I appreciate the more thorough descriptions of the characters’ thought processes , though I would have liked for them to have more personality. The romance between Sin & Rad is a little awkward in the beginning because they don’t really flirt or talk about anything other than work. There are a few flirty moments & a few spicy moments farther in that are great, I just would have liked more of them to really feel the love & buildup. For me it ended up being more of an acceptance that they’re together than a ship. They’re still cute! Sin is great on her own & Rad is great on his own. One of the villains, Aisha, is fantastic & I would have been happy with her being the main one. She was very well written. The main villain didn’t really appear long enough to feel much about them, but they were enough of a jerk to fit. The storyline is interesting & enjoyable with a couple twists that definitely made things better. There were a lot of pop culture references, which was nice, & a few were funny rather than just informational. I also appreciated that there’s enough of a set up for a 2nd book to be interested in reading that one too, without having a cliffhanger. All in all, this was a pretty good book & I would read the rest of the series as well as other work by EG Manetti.

So good!! The witty characters and quick backstory suck you in right away and keep you interested. I could not put this book down! The book starts after some time in the main characters relationship but you don’t feel like you’ve missed anything at all and you are right there in the office with them!
