Mavis finds herself in multiple sticky situations and “tries” to be selfless and avoid hurting others but ultimately hurts herself the most in the long run. Again shall I say – chaos?

This is the fifth instalment in the Antipodes series, and the adventures set within a dystopian world continue. Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books, I was looking forward to this novel, and I was not disappointed. Once again I was fully immersed in the storyline, and felt engaged with the characters, some of whom are like old friends now, and others who were newly introduced. The wonderfully detailed descriptive narrative brought the setting and the characters vividly to life, once more. I was hooked from start to finish, as the residents of Lewis, are forced to take drastic action in order to protect their children, having received some shocking news. Freyja and Illyria join together with some friends, with the hope of discovering who is behind this latest threat. The threat needs to be got rid off, before it takes all of their lives. Another gripping storyline with plenty of plot twists that kept me guessing, as love, loss, friendships and relationships are challenged. A real page turner!

This is a book that is all about the characters, with the story secondary to this. The connection between the two main characters is palpable on each and every page and I loved reading about their journey. They are exactly what they each need and it was so nice to be able to experience it with them. The book is quite a quick and easy read, entertaining the whole way through. At times I thought it could have done with just a little more depth to it but the characters more than made up for this to me. This is a great read and I will definitely be reading more of this series.

This was definitely not what I was expecting but in a great way! I love how creative and different it is. The romance wasn’t in your face or steal the show from the storyline it played into it and enhanced it like it should. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes fantasy novels.

Raf and Ellie. Oh, my heart. I loved this story. Raf is so protective of her and it kills me how they don’t communicate but it’s understandable, about their feelings for one another. The suspense from Raf’s past and the dilemma with his friend from that time. He’s a new man and Ellie loves him and trusts him. I like how it’s set in a small town as well and everyone knows everyone. This book was funny and had a good twist to it.

Into the Light is such a sweet and forbidden romance! But don’t be fooled because it has plenty of action, both steamy and suspenseful! I love Ellie and Rafael’s story with all the twists and turns.
Ellie is an incredibly hard worker, and she refuses to let herself be egotistical about her business doing well. She knows that one wrong move can make all the difference and end her dream job. When she isn’t thinking about work, she is daydreaming about her long-time crush, Rafael. Raf is also her brother’s best friend who sees her as a little sister. Except he doesn’t. Rafael is finally tempting fate with telling Ellie how he feels about her, but he fears his past catching up to him. In his eyes he’s still a no-good danger, and he refuses to let anyone, especially Ellie, get hurt because of him. Will they live happily ever after, or will they take their undying love to their graves?
There is so much to love about this book, and I am soon going to read it again! The suspense had me gripping the book throughout the entire story! It caught me off guard multiple times. I enjoyed the steamy scenes as well as Kate McWilliams knows how to write romance without seeming cliché. You don’t want to miss this!

I simply loved this book and all that the author gave within their writing. The story came together quite nicely, and the characters were very connectable. I could not have asked for more It was a first time author for me, and this journey is certainly not my last! Very impressive and enjoyable writing!
I loved the small town romance of this book. Loved Ellie being the independent person she was, ans loved Raf wanting nothing more than to care and provide for her. The romance was not just thrown in your face, it was worked for. There was so much more to this wonderful story that meets the eye. I will for sure be visiting this town to read about Ellie and Raf. I very much enjoyed the author’s writing style. It was a wonderful and good read that sticks with you after you finish! Very much enjoyed it and loved it!
I must say, this book was more wonderful than I expected. I was in love with it from the beginning, but the more I read, the more I got hooked. Highly recommend! Not one to be passed up for any means!

I. Loved. This. Book! I read this book in one day, almost in one sitting; as life kept interrupting! I Loved You Yesterday, was beautifully written. It’s the first book in a trilogy series. The characters came alive with each turn of the page. Mavis and Josh fell in love. Unfortunate events drive them apart and Mavis seeks out Josh’s brother, Austin. This love triangle keeps you guessing until the end. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
I really enjoyed this story and the romance between Raf and Ellie was so romantic and steamy. The author does an amazing job with the characters. Making them both relatable and also giving them back stories that make them feel like old friends. I love the friendship dynamic between them and also how their love for one another goes by hidden. Neither of them knowing how the other feels and both of them too scared to take the leap of faith. The author’s writing is beautiful and the way the characters express their feelings is really what makes this story unique and beautiful to read. It gives the characters so much more depth and feeling which as a reader makes you more invested in their story
Raf is a hardworking man. He’s spent his life trying to make up for something that happened in his past. And it’s this very incident that makes him feel unworthy of the love of a woman like Ellie. No matter how much he wants her, he can’t have her. Even though not having her is killing him.
Ellie is a strong and independent woman. She is very fiesty and can take care of herself. So when the man she loves Raf tries to be overprotective off her and treat her like a sister, she sees red. Why can’t he see her for the woman she I’d instead of his best friends little sister? Why can’t he love and want her the way she wants him?
The connection between them is explosive and the chemistry is so hot. Will they ever give in to their feelings and finally be together like they want? Or will things, circumstances and people keep them denying their feelings out of fear of the past and fear of rejection?

Burn (Elemental Warriors Book 1) by Joanna Morgan 4 out of 5 stars
Burn by Joanna Morgan is a great new concept to the paranormal fantasy tale. Follow Levi and Brook in this refreshing new concept as they learn about each other and fight against the odds to be with each other. I loved the new concept, the story line and the characters, but it was very hard for me to keep reading through this book. I just thought it was very slow throughout the whole book, until the very end. When you work full time and have kids it was very hard for me not to get distracted or “get in the zone”, to read this book. Despite this book being slow, I did think the writing was good. The plot was all brand new and there was a lot of world building, so I believe that is why the book might have been on the slower side. I also loved the forbidden romance between Levi and Brook, along with them having to defy the odds. Brook is learning of a whole new world, and learning about a whole new part of herself.
Due to the flaws, but with reason, I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars. Overall it was still a great read, the characters were amazing, and I loved the new storyline and world.
I really do hope that as this series develops, I can fall in love with it more, because it is a really great story line.
For any future readers, please know that this is a start of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. I, personally, cannot stop after reading just this book, so I cannot wait for the rest of the series to be published.

Great second-chance romance! I loved this book because it was slow-burn and there was a lot of tension and buildup. Also there was a bit of mystery about the company that wanted to buy all the stores, so that kept me interested as well. Marissa is such a cool protagonist, I loved her and could relate to her. Overall the book was very entertaining and a great read, highly recommend.

Cam and Freyja have settled into life with their friends and family surrounding them on Lewis. Then alarms go off, alerting the residents to someone approaching. They find that it is old acquaintances from Clava, with a couple of children that look familiar. As Freyja and Cam find out why they were selected and that Freyja’s sister may still be alive, they embark on yet another journey. Terror and danger continue to surround the couple as they, and some selected friends, search for answers and try to keep their community safe. I can not speak more highly of this series. I would not change a single event that has happened. This book, as well as others, have held my interest and I want to continue reading. The characters continue to be relatable and loveable. Feelings are realistic and emotions can be felt through the page. I highly suggest the Antipodes series.

The story switches to Freyja’s viewpoint as she describes what she went through travelling with Angus and losing Cam as her husband. As always, trouble is brewing. What new terrors do they find, and can they make it out? Find out in Ouroboros. Once again, T.S. Simons created a story that I did not want to put down. The characters remain relatable, and the descriptions are impeccable. I cannot wait to read more in the series. You do not want to miss this installment.

This book is the beginning of a series and can be read as a stand alone. The fast pace, page turning action of the story line will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and dying to find out what happens. Levi has the element of fire meaning he can create, control, and cause fire to happen anywhere at any time. Brooke is your general run of the mill normal human girl with no elemental powers or so she thinks. The mystery that also follows the story line sets up for the other books to follow and I can’t wait. Levi is trying to protect Brooke which is forcing them to spend time together and what happens when people are forced to be in each other proximity in a romance book, yep you got it. The steam happens. This book has it all mystery, action, passion, forbidden love, protection, and chaos. I highly recommend this book to anyone who like paranormal and who like a good romance read. The author brings billionaires down to earth by creating a group of relatable characters who could be in your own friend group. This book is easy and fun to read. As the first book in the series, the character development provided some insight into possible future storylines while remaining focused on the lead characters. What a sweet romance! Yes, there is a mystery involved in this story that is quite interesting but Rafe and El have their own interesting tale. Second chance love is my favorite. These two have had feelings for each other for a long time but he is her brother’s best friend. The sweetness, tenderness, yet gritty drama makes for an intense, page-turning story. I was engaged from the start and had to keep going until I was done. The characters felt so real. They reminded me of people I have met and come across. Contemporary and fresh writing, along with their sexy, flirty banter, makes this one of my favorites. Well done, author.

This is the first read of this kind for me. I really enjoyed the characters and the pace.

This was my first read by this author & I was not disappointed! At first, I was concerned that it was going to be more along the lines of a tween/teenager read but I soon discovered I was wrong. I quickly found myself relating to Greer as a senior having to transition from a public school to a more exclusive “private” school. At first, as the reader, you find yourself feeling more and more sympathetic for Greer and her situation whilst developing a distaste for her soon-to-stepbrother Beckett. Don’t let this deter you! As the story develops, you begin to understand more about Beckett and his thought process per say. It is a mature read and definitely worth it for anyone who enjoys a well written contemporary romance.

Reader’s Thoughts: This was my first time reading a novel written by T. Christensen and WOW, this one did not disappoint me. I sat down and read this in one afternoon. No matter how much I needed to get done, I just couldn’t put this one down. The characters were relatable in so many ways. The storyline was realistic portraying the “mean girls” as what I truly believe mean girls look like in today’s society. In the beginning I wanted to slap some sense into Beckett, he was such a jerk! Then I found myself silently yelling at Greer for allowing Beckett to act the way he did. I found Greer’s enthusiasm for her mother’s happiness touching. For a young teenage girl to be so concerned about her mother’s happiness made my heart sing. And David, he instantly won me over. His threats to Beckett made me shout out loud. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I would love to see novels written around the stories of the side characters: Lexi and Pepper and there stunning football stars.

I don’t even know where to begin with this book! This was the perfect book for me since I have always been obsessed with element bending stories such as Fate: The Winx Saga and Avatar: The Last Airbender. This was the perfect adult version of those two stories, the chemistry between the characters was almost as good as the story itself!
A fantastic paranormal romance, I highly suggest that everyone who loves fantasy read this book. The characters of Levi and Brooke are expertly written, I love watching both of the characters grow as the story continues. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series!

This is a great second chance romance that is fun and entertaining to read. This is the kind of book that is perfect for those lazy afternoons designed specifically for reading books. The story was good, although a little slow paced at times, and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. The book is light-hearted and fun, with just enough mystery in to keep things interesting. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed experiencing the writing style. I connected with the characters and though that overall this aw as great book. I am looking forward to getting more acquainted with this series.

Kate McWilliams brings to life the story of Ellie and Raf. Ellie is living her dream, running her jewelry shop in a quiet town. Raf has a past, which he keeps hidden from his friends. When Raf’s past catches up with him, Ellie decides to try to move on. As they forge their paths in life, not connecting in a way Ellie would like, there’s someone in the shadows. Are they watching Ellie or just a tourist in a tourist town? This book is romantic and suspenseful. I did not realize when I read it that it was part of a series, but it was written so well, that it didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the others. The tension the author builds between the characters is spot on. I would 100% recommend reading this book.

Brooke is living a relatively normal life, until she happens to cross paths with Levi. Levi is an elemental who can control, cause, and create, fire. It’s not until her apartment building explodes and Levi rescues her from the aftermath that Brooke learns that there is something more to Levi than meets the eye, though she doesn’t know quite what yet. Eventually, Levi tells her the truth, in an effort to protect her from the Chaolt, the chaos creators who often kill Sleepers, or humans with latent elemental powers, in an effort to bring about as much chaos and destruction as possible. When it becomes clear that Brooke is a Sleeper, Levi and his team work to protect her, which puts Levi and Brooke in close quarters are they try to use her as bate to get the Chaolt to come out of their hiding places. With all the time they spend together, Brooke and Levi start to develop a relationship, even though elementals are not allowed to have relationships with humans.

The point of view switches back and forth and I didn’t love that, so I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5. The story though was great! Two very different characters in two different worlds come together! From the beginning it’s pretty easy to root for the two of them but as the story carries on, you root for them even more! This book was face paced, with a few twists, filled with drama, but ultimately leads to a happy ending!

Jake is the first book in the Billionaire Blind Dates Series. This was my first time reading any of this author’s work and it certainly won’t be the last. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the others in this series. This book takes blind dates to a whole new level. First you fill out a huge questionnaire on the app, then you get to meet your match in a blind date – at the blind date restaurant, totally in the dark! Yep, you share a meal with the person but you can’t actually see them. Jake and his 4 billionaire friends decide that this is the way that each of them should try to find their significant other, each will pick dates for the others and it’s Jake’s turn to go first. I really loved Jake and Lauren’s story. They already know each other as Lauren is the PA of one of the 5 guys – Cade. They have no idea of this though and totally hit it off. It’s very much an opposites attract story. Jake is a billionaire who is tired of women who only want him for his money. Lauren is living paycheck to paycheck and is worried that Jake will think she’s after his money but it makes no difference to her at all. She’d still like him if he was penniless. I really enjoyed the camaraderie between the 5 billionaires and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the other 4 guys.

This is the fifth and final book in the Antipodes Series and wow what a series it is. I definately recommend anyone reading the series from the beginning so that you get the full story and see the characters grown throughout the series. By doing this you get the full picture of the characters Journeys and all the struggles they have gone through to get to where they are today.
Life is finally starting to settle down for the people who were living in the sustainable community. But that sense of peace will be short lived. When the children start to get attacked by an unknown source our leading characters Cam and Freyja need to come back together to help protect their children. Who is willingly harming innocent children? Can Cam and Freyja work together to protect their children? How far are they prepared to go to do that? And who can they trust? As friends old and new come to help in them protect the children there is always the question of who can be trusted.
This story is amazing from start to finish and how the characters have grown and developed over this series has been amazing to see. I’m sad that this is the end as I feel like I’m losing friends however I will definately be picking these books back up and re reading them over again.
