Watcher (Star-Crossed Celestials Duet #1)Watcher by A.L. Morrow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book had some really different twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I was not expecting the love between the two guys, it was a little unexpected, consisting of that it’s so normal to read about a man and women but not two men, and honestly it was so amazing to read. not only were the characters well written that I found it hard not to fall in love with these two that their story was just as good. Lots of things happened that really kept me hooked on this book. This author wrote an incredible book all around, that really was entertaining and enjoyable. This paranormal, action, love, LGBT, and revenge book is a total must read.

Remember to Forget Me (Too Lost to Love Book 1) by Hazel Storm Review By Amanda Chrissomalis

Remember to Forget Me (Too Lost To Love, #1)Remember to Forget Me by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What would you do if you had 6 months’ worth of memories just gone? Nightmares that kept you at bay from remembering all the events from just one night. Not remembering the person, you fell in love with. The haunting dreams of seeing someone die over and over, but not being able to put a name to the face that visits you in those dreams. Think of the one who does remember. Living each day knowing that horrific night changed your entire life. Going on thinking that the love of your life HATES YOU and BLAMES YOU for what happened, when in reality, they lost every single memory of you.

Addie has kept tabs on Wes for over a decade, always at a distance, making sure that she did everything she could to anonymously pay a debt that she felt was owed. After losing her parents and cutting off ties with any remaining family, she has been on her own. One day she bumps into the love of her life, and he has no idea who she is, and that’s when things get tricky.

Wes is a successful pop star! After being bullied and overcoming such a horrific event he found peace in his music and became something. His songs are amazing, BUT not entirely his. After his momager pushes to sue an author for publishing a book (when the author was 14 years old) “using” Wes’s songs her revenge backfires. The day of settlement Wes bumps into Addie. Not knowing who she was exactly, but having this sense about her, he stops her asking if they knew each other. Addie was a deer in headlights and ran as elegantly fast as possible.

Fate has a way of working things out though. Layer that afternoon at a seminar for Anti-Bullying, to her surprise, the speaker who was originally supposed to be there was replaced. And of course, who better the pop sensation Westly Harper to step in and save the day. But what happens when he sees the same girl twice in one day?

Murder Most Pemberly

5*

Eliza is an American who is traveling to England for the very first time. She’s headed there to meet her family, some of whom she has never met. From the beginning, it is clear that there is mystery surrounding the Darcy Family. He father NEVER talks about them and she has never met most of them. But she is invited to a family reunion and she would love to meet them.
She’s a girl who isn’t used to excitement. In fact, she is planning on packing her wool socks instead of her pretty underclothes. She can’t even tell you the last time that she needed pretty underthings. On the plane, it seems that she may have misread the situation. From the second she enters the airport, she meets an amazing man. He happens to end up in the seat next to her on the plane. They hit it off immediately and sparks are flying. On top of being cute he also has an amazing personality.
Despite Eliza’s intentions for the reunion, things take a very different turn. A dead body definitely has different plan for her. When the investigation proves to have clues that may reveal the reason her father no longer speaks to his family and mystery surrounds them, Elize finds herself wanting to help with the investigation.
Eliza has always had a love of Agatha Christie novels and she is optimistic to put her learned skills to use. Soon more and more clues appear that show that there are more bodies around. She needs the help of her aunt and that man from the plane to help keep herself from being the next body that is discovered.
This book was really really good. I loved the banter between Heath (the man from the plane) and Eliza. It definitely kept me guessing as I read.

What a unique and interesting take on Romeo and Juliet – and a much better version in my opinion. Jace and Cyrus are simply amazing. I loved them individually, and their characters, and I loved the connection that was so easy to see between them. Despite everything being against them I desperately wanted them to find a way.
The story itself is exciting and well written. Although I knew it was based on Romeo and Juliet it definitely does not live in its shadows. This is a real page turned and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

What a beautiful story! Katrina and TJ’s journey to their happy ever after was truly stunning. The alternating points of view are such a wonderful way to tell a story, seeing from the main character’s eyes and truly understanding their take through their trials. Their story was one that has been told before, in reality, and was fabulously illustrated and wonderfully realistic and relevant. If you enjoy modern romance stories with a happy ever after, this is definitely an amazing choice!

This was my first read by this author and at the beginning I was so confused because it dives in to such an attraction between Kat & TJ. After reading for a bit it all started making sense, but I wish the intensity wasn’t so intense right at the start of the book. Once I got into the book, it was actually a good book. The characters are lovable & the storyline is so cute.

This is a modern day reunion of sorts for Jane Austen’s Darcy family. Eliza is going to London to meet up with her cousin. It’s been several years since they’ve seen each other and Eliza has always wanted to go and see her “homeland”. What she doesn’t know is all the adventure and excitement that awaits her upon her arrival. Actually, all the excitement begins at the airport when she runs into this gorgeous man named Heath, who ends up sitting next to her on the plane. Her time with her family is rather enlightening and many family secrets are learned, while others are still a mystery.

I rather enjoyed this book and I must admit, I’ve never read Pride and Prejudice. I know, such a failure on my part!! I love how this book includes segments of that story though. I’ve always been interested in it, I’ve just never taken the time to actually read it. Now I have even more motivation to go back and read a great classic.

This was a great 5 star read. My emotions were all over the place, once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed Katrina and TJ’s story, they were the sweetest couple. Katrina is a single mom starting over in a new town. TJ has returned to his hometown and is a coach for his former high school. Fate steps in and these two meet and lets just say sparks flew. This story takes off from here and I loved it.

Will TJ and Katrina get a HEA?

Overall this was a great read that pulls all your heart strings. I instantly fell for this couple, I think they are one of my top favorites. There is so much more to this great read, I don’t want to give anything away. The author did a great job with her writing. Peg’s Stand (Satan’s Devils MC #6) Audio Book by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

Peg finds that he is longing for love. Darcy wants to prove that she is just as strong as one of the guys. Can the two find love? Darcy’s roommate turns into her wrist nightmare; Peg becomes her knight in shining armor. I really enjoyed watching the continued growth of the Satan’s Devils and this was no different. Peg really showed his caring side and showed that real men do have feelings and aren’t afraid to show it. Darcy is a strong woman who knows what she wants and provides a nice contrast to the subservient women previously introduced in the books. The story was filled with quite a bit of action but there was a lot of little intense moments versus one big problem taking place. Overall, a really great book where I found myself laughing, crying, getting angry, and then oh so happy.

A former football player and now a school teacher and an artist find themselves in quite a tangle. Follow along as TJ and Kat develop a relationship and try to figure out how to balance work, family, a new baby and Katrina’s illness. This book is definitely a page turner. When I pick up a romantic story to read in between some heavier types of subjects, this author’s selection is now my first pick! This book was so much fun to read as I dream up a relationship like this one. I think the best part is that the author digs right in with character building! I fell in love with both characters instantly and couldn’t wait for the happy ever after! Well, then the book takes a twisty turn and at the end of this book I was in shock at the secrets and the ending! I highly recommend reading this one as you won’t want to put it down and I would like to see it in a series!

Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

This book is based in Greek Mythology, the story of dragons and their slayers. The story is that the dragonslayer will not be a complete person until they slay their dragons. By slaying one’s dragon, they release their soul into themselves in order to live their complete, fulfilled life. One night, dragonslayer Apollo, aka Saxton, meets a woman named Orelle, in a club. Her dancing and scent intoxicates him and he is immediately attracted and doesn’t understand why. Orelle, is a dragon disguised in her human form. The two of them have a mutual attraction, but Orelle is not supposed to be out amongst the crowds. However, the two of them keep finding each other and finally give in to their whims of sexual attraction. Each of them, though, are keeping many secrets. How long can these secrets stay hidden? Will they figure out why the attraction is there, and if they do, what does that mean since they are mortal enemies?

Overall, I thought this book was okay. I like the idea of the story and the Greek Mythology behind it. I thought that the characters were interesting. Orelle, I liked her ambition and straight-forward aspects. With Saxton, he was extremely straight-forward which I don’t normally have issues with, but I found it unattractive in this character. I think a lot of that comes from the wording that the author uses. There were times where I just thought the wording was cringy, and I like dirty talk, etc. He did grow on me toward the end of the story, however. I also didn’t really like the narrator of the audiobook, he sounded Scottish. This could be a big reason why I thought that the book was just okay. The accent was pretty thick so I, at times, lost interest in the story.

You want a book that hits you in all the right places of the heart then one click this one. From the first chapter I knew I was in for a great read. Evan and Callie are totally going to steal every bit of your heart trust me and you’ll give it over willingly. The absolute only downside to this story was that it had to end but I’d read it over and over again easily. The characters are complex and relatable, issues that real people have to deal with on a daily basis are discussed and while not always easy the author does a wonderful job at it. I’d give more stars if possible but just know it’s even bit as amazing as the five stars I’m giving it. Highly recommended!

Because that’s exactly what TJ and Katrina did to me. Each character was so very easy to connect with and you just couldn’t help but love them and their story. The author is amazing with detailed information and a story that keeps you so drawn in you tend to forget the outside world. That was completely fine by me. I’ll definitely be missing these characters and will have to reread their story eventually again. Again five stars well deserved!

I absolutely loved reading this book. I was amazed at the well written words and the enticing storyline, and all of the emotions that it made me feel. Katrina is a survivor and going into her past just made me want to hold her and tell her that everything was going to be okay. TJ is an amazing man that does wonders for Katrina. When she feels weak he is right there to hold her together. This fated relationship really had my emotions going all over the place! I highly suggest a box of tissues when reading! This is a love story. But not a typical one. This brings two people together in the most beautiful way; and it a starts with a rocking chair and a baby.

When Katerina, pregnant, and newly divorced walks into TJs store to purchase a special blue rocking chair, it’s love at first sight. Their love story took me through loops and red tape so many times, i could do nothing but to keep reading. There is an element of the mystical when Katerina knows TJ before they meet from her dreams. She has felt him, dreamed of him before she knew him.

The tiptoeing and hesitant romance is so thrilling. It’s like watching a Nicholas Sparks movie. Their romance is timid and sweet. Tj is the definition of sweet.

TJ, a retired football player, doesn’t know what hit him. Katerina is everything to him and he just knows she is his forever. If only he could convince Katerina of the same. it devolves and escalates into this whirlwind love affair that left me biting my nails reading nonstop until the end. There is room for more character development and the story seemed rushed but over all I loved it and would read it again. Read more

Saved by Love (Bellevue Bullies Book 7) by Toni Aleo – Review by Beverly Finnie

Saved by Love (Bellevue Bullies #7)Saved by Love by Toni Aleo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is so much more! Saved by Love doesn’t just fall into the romance category. It hits some potentially very heavy topics along the way. Mental illness being a big one. Autism being a big theme throughout as well. The way the author co-mingles these topics works beautifully. I loved this book, I wasn’t sure I wanted to read it at first. Why, because when books are in a series I usually like to start at book 1. However, besides now having to go back and read the other, this book is just as fantastic as a stand-alone novel.
Callie and Evan both are damaged in their own way. Callie brings everything Evan wants and then some to the table. Unfortunately his mental instability is holding him back. Retiring extremely early in his NHL career, Evan struggles with severe anxiety. Anyone who suffers from anxiety and or depression can relate. You can also relate how being caught in one’s head holds you back. Which is Evan in a nutshell. Callie is the breath of fresh air he never knew he needed.
A small crush no big deal, or so Callie thought. However Evan doesn’t recognize her. Allowing them to get to know each other without anyone holding them back. A screwed up childhood Callie is preserving. Hoping she can rub off some of that success onto Evan.
Now I briefly touched on the autism theme, which is something near and dear to my heart. The way the author represents autism as a minor theme made me extremely happy, I even shed a tear at some points.
Don’t let this book pass you by because you haven’t read the ones that have come before it, you’ll be disappointed if you do. Jump in doesn’t matter that it’s book 7!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So good, soooo good! Oh man where do you even start with this book?! Key to His Heart by Kristina Beck was absolutely an amazing book. This is the first book that I have read by this author and for sure will not be my last. Katrina has finally left her loveless marriage and found herself on the way to single motherhood. She stumbles randomly into TJ and she realizes, it’s him. It’s always been him. Who is him? Well now that you’ll just have to find out for yourself. I absolutely LOVED TJ’s character. He was sweet, dotting, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He embraced Katrina and Toby (her son) without the blink of an eye. I admit I was nervous for the pair and rooting for TJ since he was getting the short end of the stick. But I am so glad they found their way back to each other. There is a lot of detail but I felt it necessary to explain the background of Katrina’s thoughts. It definitely helped. I cannot wait to recommend this book to anyone needing one they can’t put down until it’s over.

Ouroboros by T.S. Simons is the third book in the Antipodes series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order so that you get the full experience. I think this book has to be my favourite of the series so far. I really got into this book and found myself getting completely lost in the story. There was much in this book, it had such an attention to detail and so much going on.
I really enjoyed getting to see more about these characters and the journey they are on. Even more so with this book it felt like I was going on the same journey with them, even with it being a dystopian future. I could imagine everything the author was writing and I felt immersed in the book as a whole.
This is a brilliant series and this book is excellent. I would highly recommend reading them.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The series has seriously attracted my attention since book 1, the way the author creates this world and the characters that live in it, it’s so real, and it’s a powerful series with a serious impact! This series makes you think, wonder, things we do in this world that we make decisions to form, lead to the next thing…sometimes we want to change those decisions, but what if you can’t? And the reality you live in, is your future?

Each book in the series, has a build up. The author seems to know what we can handle as readers, as I know I constantly am in the want of more! Whenever I want more answers, the answers I seek, are met with more questions. I feel as if I am with the characters as they take this journey in the life and future of the world that they live in,. In this book especially, there is so much character development and changes, if you reflect from the first book, you really cant see it and feel it! This is the impact the author is able to do and is so very clever at doing! Each book I go down that rabbit hole, begging for more, each book entices me, provides fear in a way only such a gifted author can prevail…and most of all the author has created a series that is so powerful that when you close the book upon end, or even a few chapters, the book has captivated your mind ans has left you thinking about the possibility of this series becoming our future one day! The author is simply amazing at captivating my interest, and I am so happy I am getting to read this series! Love it!!!

This book alone is a must read.To really feel the impact that this book possesses, you need to read from the first, you really do. I needlessly need to say, this is a high recommendation from myself who is really entranced by this series and author! Must read for sure! I loved this author and the world of characters they create, defiantly a talented author that is a rate gem!

Fairly Royal is the fourth book in the Fair series by Grace Grahme. It is a slow burn, fake relationship, best friend’s little sister romance- with drama, humour, spice, and sweet developments.
What happens when a royal Prince needs a solution to a pressing problem? Will his best friend’s little sister be the answer to his troubles? Things are certainly about to get interesting….
Now I need to explore the other three books in the series before I move on to any other of Ms. Grahme’s work…
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Grace Grahme!
